Well, at a conference in London this week but still managing to oversee the unit remotely.

Crazy schedule.

No update. Only thing I can remember is that I got my CFA Charter certificate yesterday (finished the exams last year), and was like "So that's it?, wow! what next?"

But then, a minute later, I figured it out. I will go for my MBA in a top school in US or Canada or France sef, then write CAIA.

Permit me to say that I love anything finance, I have done risk management, investment banking, financial advisory, audit and accounting and fixed income trading. All within 3 years and 2 months. Currently, I am with a mini infrastructure focused DFI. And I love it here, less stressful and fuvking challenging.

What do I do? I structure infrastructure deals. I assess companies that are infrastructure focused, and get my company to invest in them, then I do some sort of portfolio management. Simple? NOT REALLY.

My typical day? I will gist you later.

I didn't present any bank statement.

It's an oil and gas company. We also have an office in the UK. Just letter of introduction that they will pay the entire costs.
Submitted my 3-year tax clearance certificate though, that shows my incomes and taxes paid in the last 3 years.

We run an internet company that has 3 websites in its portfolio (jarushub.com, opinions.ng and hotproforum.com).

Each of our ventures has its own handle on Nairaland (jarushub for jarushub.com and opinionated for for opinions.ng) with the handles operated by our employees.


This is my own personal handle, which is more than 10 years old on Nairaland.

I am posting from UK at the moment.

The staff handling opinionated handle must be in Lagos. He is the op. I came here because this topic is about me and I got mention notifications.

I didn't need multiple handles to tackle a nonentity. If anything, I know the weight of whatever I type using this personal handle. I know tbousands of people who rely on what comes out of this handle.

I am from Offa. The gentleman that invited me to this thread (Omooba77) knew and that was why he mentioned my name. So there is nothing to hide. I am a proud Offa man. I believe in justice. I believe in equity, so I will never wish bad to anyone irrespective of the community of origin. That portal is useless, my decision has been made since 3rd of October, it hasn't reflected on that portal. I have missed the training I applied for oya give me my passport, I don't want to do again, they will say we don't have influence over decision making and bla bla. yet you pay them each time you call to speak with an agent. They almost caused me same thing. I just walked into their office (without email or sms or anything) and got my passport.

I really don't get myself involved in this kind of inanity, but since a well wisher has copied me here, it might be important for me to comment.

It is unfortunate that the gentleman that opened the thread spewed all manner of venom on Offa and declared his Erin Ile as the innocent party.

The facts on ground say otherwise. Erin Ile is the aggressive party. They are usually the one to start the fights. Last time, many indigenes of Offa were assassinated by these folks, including a big hotelier who was an elder brother to my friend.

I don't know much about who owns what land but I know for sure, from all the fights between the two communities I have witnessed in my 35 years on earth, that when it comes to aggression and first attack, no disputing Erin as the party that first goes gaga killing innocent souls.

The e-terror of a post by the OP is another sign of such aggression.

I also think we need another reliable and experienced center forward as back up to Ighalo.

If you could call Sheffield and get the feedback that a decision had been made, then you can try walk-in like I did.

I think someone answered your question yesterday. You submitted your passport at TLS . The fact that tls send you a message that your passport is ready means wherever you applied, your passport is waiting for you. Just go there with the collection slip and retrieve your passport. Sheffield mail not really important anymore. They've finished their work.

I didnt get decision email. Only got receipt email the second day after submission. That was the only email I got.

However, I called UK on Tuesday and they said they had decided.

Finally picked my passport this afternoon. Visa issued (I just felt I can't be denied UK business visit visa desoite never submitting my bank statements).


Imagine these guys did not send me any email despite paying for priority service and even sms alert. I just took leap of faith and walked into their office this afternoon.

Pronto, my passport was there and the guy at collection was saying it arrived yesterday. Imagine o, since yesterday. If I had relied on their email, I might have missed my travel (which is this weekend).

These TLS people no try at all. Imagine if I was waiting for their email or sms, tomorrow the last working day before my travel.

I just called and they said a decision has been made since Monday. However, I should wait another 10 working days max to get my passport. So annoying after the priority stuff

I'm sure you didn't tell them over the phone that it is priority. Otherwise they woul have told you it will be within 2/3 days. The 10 days is the standard answer, for standard service.

They said same to me but when I reminded them it was priority they said within 2/3 days.

Submit September 21 2917 and I got a message from Sheffield preparing ur application for consideration then I got this today but my worry is that i did not get a second mail from Sheffield please can anybody explain if you have this experience i apply for a renewal once being to the UK and did not over stay only stayed 3weeks

ohh great. when exactly did you submit? because last week Monday was a public holiday. also, is it a renewal? where did you apply? I did priority and I submitted last week Wednesday in VI

Applied Friday the upper week(i.e September 29). Gatecrashed submission same day (paid for walk-in).

Got receipt acknowledgement email on Monday, the Independence public holiday.
