goldfish80: We can't keep crying Wolf when things don't go our way,not in a well justifiable case such as this anyway.
Diego Costa's 19 Premiership goals won 15 points for Chelsea in the season under review. Statistically, no player won more points for their team last season than Costa. This is pure gold if you ask me. Diego Costa is not a well loved character. Players loathe him and his antics. Its academic the players themselves wouldn't give him their vote. More so, both Kane and Lukaku that made PFA 11 striker spot scored more goals than Costa. |

BascoVanVeli: I just tire for this African mentality u mention players that even a blind man won't overlook and this is to prove there is no bias? Lol. Only blind men will overlook Salah, Mane and aubameyang for Moses. FIFA was not blind. World coaches are not blind. Over 500 EPL players cannot be blind. Bundesliga analysts are not blind. Italian journalists are not blind Chelsea fans are not blind. Liverpool fans are not blind. CAF technical committee are not blind BBC viewers are not blind But you here want us to believe they are blind to rank Mane, Salah and aubameyang high. Now we know who has African mentality. |

tbaba1234: What is the common thread amongst the 3? Goalscorers!!
It is difficult for defensive minded player to win such accolades. Moses is critical to how Chelsea play but is unlikely he can win such awards unless he starts scoring and assisting a lot. No, if you perform well enough, you will beat guys that score goals. Kante was voted EPL best. Not a goal scorer. |

BascoVanVeli: That is done by players who are mostly British. To put in perspective even Ighalo was overlooked for Watford players player of the season the year he finished as the top scorer in England. There is a bias toward non English players. Yeah Kante and Mahrez were English. |

Roma player of the season 16/17 = Salah
Dortmund player of the season 16/17 = Aubameyang
Liverpool player of the season 16/17 = Mane
Let Moses win best player in his team first before comparing with the guys. |

BascoVanVeli: So Aguero, Sanchez and Diego Costa were also noncritical abi? Only 11 can make the team, this does not have much to do with criticality. Same way only 3 can make CAF final shortlist. |

BascoVanVeli: How can u even utter such? This is when keeping it real goes to far. How could u watch the season that just past and describe Victor Moses as just another functional component? His introduction into the lineup coincided with their run that changed football. If he wasn't a Nigerian international he would have easily made that list. If he was so critical to Chelsea that trophy season, he should have made PFA 11 or FIFA 30. after all, his Chelsea teammates did. |

Kog45: There is need for our players to learn from KANU Nwankwo or else they would continue to fail to win APOTY.
Pls check Kanu' s career as a player and analyse how he was so highly rated,if care is not taking you get confused cos his record with Super eagles wasn't impressive and even his club sides can be debated but the guy was always on the news cos he always seized the opportunity the moment he find himself in any big match and do wonder that cannot be erased in the world of football
KANU won his first Africa best due to his magical performance against Brazil in Atlanta and won his second African best due to his great hat trick against Chelsea though he had some other outstanding matches but the Chelsea one was a great feat that cannot be ignored.
There is need for our players to tell the outside world that they are not Nigeria player alone but World rated player, pls check out Aubemayang rating, this is world respected striker and Sallah is going that way too.
Remember being the best is not enough to win it,Okocha failed to win it and average Victor Ikpeba won it with his exploit with Monaco despite not even a regular with super eagles.Emma Amuneke won it too but only Yekini won it due to his super eagles performance.
I don't think CAF is biased with strong presence of Amaju as executive member but Nigeria players just need to repackage themselves as a world beater cos consistency matter a lot.Mind you if not for Toure Mikel would have won it in 2013 cos we had only him and Toure that year, remember Enyeama too
Truly very saddened not to see Victor Moses in the last shortlisted three best players, not a good development for our football. Gbam |

Icon79: So Gary Cahill made the EPL team of the year? While Virgil van Djik didn't make it? And neither did Sergio Aguero, or Alexis Sanchez. While Harry Kane and Lukaku were included? And Dele Alli made it ahead of Kevin DeBryune??
Tells you everything you need to know.
O pari Oga, more than 500 EPL players that did the voting know better than you. They knew Moses before considering Mane for EPL 11. World coaches and captains that picked Mane among top 30 in the world knew Moses before choosing Mane. But you sitting behind your TV thinks he did better than Mane. |

BascoVanVeli: He was a big party to the 3-4-3 revolution that took over last season. I remember that even here some of our best and brightest predicted that the system would never work. My argument then and now is that Victor Moses is a major reason why things work out. We have seen them underperform countless times when he is not in the game. 4 Chelsea players made PFA EPL 11. Moses did not. If he was that critical, he should make the list. If he was that critical |

M Daejoyoung: Moses was fantastic in 2016/2017 season and was key to chelsea's new daring formation that saw them win the league. Moses was also key to Nigeria's qualification for the world cup, so l would say he deserves to be in the top three ahead of Abumeyang at least, but then looking at Asissat Oshoala in the women's category for instance and then comparing her to the South African Kgatlana, l now understand the sentiments involved in these awards, Abumeyang was already rated amongst the thirty best players in the World, thus there was no way Moses could be ahead of him in the CAF award, Similarly Oshoala has been rated no 61 in the world amongst the top 100 women footballers, and so it would hardly be surprising if she goes on to win the CAF award even though she hasn't played a game for Nigeria this year and Kgatlana have been outstanding for South Africa. ln summary, l would place Moses ahead of Abumeyang for the 2016/2017 award, especially for his contributions to Nigeria, but just as it is with Oshoala/Kgatlana, Abumeyang is a more established star with higher ratings worldwide already. Your analysis makes sense. No way you can ignore world rating. Aubameyang is more world renowned. That said, I think even at that Aubameyang did as much as if not better than Moses in 2016/2017. This guy was the top scorer in Bundesliga for that season, the first African to get that. He was Bundesliga player of the season. He was the top scorer despite missing matches during AFCON absence. He was in the class of top 5 strikers in the world. No way Moses would have edged out such a player. |

goldfish80: Knock yourself out.
PFA teams of the year Premier League: David de Gea (Manchester United); Kyle Walker (Tottenham), David Luiz (Chelsea), Gary Cahill (Chelsea), Danny Rose (Tottenham); Dele Alli (Tottenham), Eden Hazard (Chelsea), N’Golo Kanté (Chelsea), Sadio Mané (Liverpool); Harry Kane (Tottenham), Romelu Lukaku (Everton).
https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/apr/20/chelsea-tottenham-pfa-premier-league-team-of-the-year Nigerians are shouting Chelsea won the league so Moses must be African best. He wasn't even among the 4 Chelsea players that made the team of the season. Mane that didn't even the league made the list. These are simply based on individual performance not team. |

Mane and Aubameyang made the list of FIFA Top 30 in 2017 and some Nigerians are still expecting Moses, who didn't even make EPL 11, to make Africa's Top 3 ahead of them. |

nelszx: You are even going in the line of VicMo the entire nomination is flawed. Hugo broos won the AFCON but he's not among the nominee of Coach of the year but Cameroon national team was nominated. In all honesty, Salah shouldn't make the cut as the award is what the players have achieved in the 2016/2017 calendar year and not based on current season. Well whatever statistics is been used then we should have the criterion for such nominees Only a Nigerian will rank Moses ahead of Salah in 2017. A Salah that got Egypt to AFCON final. A Salah that got Egypt WC qualification after many years. A Salah with fantastic performance in Roma, which he has continued in Liverpool. Nigerians are funny. |
