Honestly dominique I hope ur overdose theory works. |
Will do that asap. I hope I'm not worse off o. |
Haba! Is it that bad? But I'm serious o. You don't indulge him cos he's a child. Is there anything really wrong with taking this on a daily basis? And no more talk about toddlers |
Can somebody tell me how bad (or good) this is? I've formed the habit of consuming viju milk and I fear I may be getting addicted. A friend once told me it contained too many chemicals. How true is this? |
Generally we consider a period of 30 years. mine is even 25. I initially chose 1980 forgetting that Vat started in 1986. It was the first thing my supervisor circled. |
Not yet. |
Well, in economics generally, the whole economy is represented by the GDP. That means Gdp is the dependent variable . It is dependent upon vat and other variables u may suggest. My supervisor specified my model as GDP= f(VAT). I'm actually looking for other variables at least four others. Then Vat revenues from 1986 till last year. |
Well given the title of the topic VAT of course is the independent variable and I don't know what other variables to include in my model. I originally thought about inflation rate, private sector investment and a host of others but I'm not sure. And yes it is a multiple regression analysis |
I don't think its possible to completely cover the syllabus except you're a full time student or you're working along the same lines you're studying. However, I do suggest you dedicate weekends for study and focus is key. I've been through the trauma of a referral and I can tell you that its not exactly an easy pill to swallow. However no matter the turnout its all worth it. Trust in God to do what you cannot. |
Hiya! I'm a final year student in @ unilag and my project is on the impact of VAT on the Nigerian economy. The timeline is from 1986-2010. And obviously I'm supposed to run a regression analysis. The issue is that I don't have figures from that time till last year and also my model. What other models can I use independently to explain the economy asides VAT. No scoldings please. Thanks all |
Hi guys! pls I need ur help. I got a storm 2 on thursday, oct 13th and it was in good condition. The battry however became completely drained later that evening and the thing shut down on its own as usual. When I tried charging it, the phone wouldn't come on. The led light just kept blinking red but the screen is completely dark. I've removed and replaced the battery severally but to no avail. Pls what should I do? |
I've finally decided to do something in industrial economics, prefarably industrial financing, I'm @ a loss as to what to do exactly so I nid suggestions on researchable topics. No insults or scoldings please. |
Amen o. I'd God be for us, who can be against us. |
@elohorm. Wrote mine in lagos. Twas mentally stressing. Wot happened wiv taxation? Did they not have any questions? Was expecting to sweat on capital allowance. Anyway, like u I hope 4 d best. |
i've got a particularly ugly, jagged, forked stretch mark on my shoulder. I'm all the worse for it cos i cant wear my pretty evening dresses. I'm very self conscious and i wouldnt even dare go out on dates. How do i solve this problem? Wearing other gowns is nice but strapless gowns are cute and i've got quite a few. |
Hi people, the subject is actually the title of a book by a guy named wayne jacobsen. I've read that book and it has thoroughly changed my life. I want to know if anyone else has read the book also? If I don't find anyone who is familiar with 'the jake book'. I'll understand because nigerians are very religious people. However I'm being hopeful. |
Hi, everyone. I was reading rom 12:20, and it struck me that I didn't know how to describe my enemy. Do I brand someone an enemy because he offended me openly? How bout friends who betray me behind? Is there a particular criteria or standard by which we can gauge whether to call some enemies? What do you think? |
Tuns, ur enquiry has been thrashed out severally by other people though not on this particular thread. I would advise u check ican's website www.ican-ngr.com. There you'll find info tellin u how to go about registration as an ican student and registration 4 exams[they're not the same]. You'll also have to register wiv a reputable tutorial centre although that is largely a function of where you live. |
U guys how is CFA different from accounting. I'm currently doing ican but I remember that when I first started I had wanted to do CFA, even though I dint know what it was all about. |
Alrite then, I'm going to sleep. It appears u are a nocturnal being. |
I'm not exactly surprised. I just respect your practicality. What did u study then? |
What exactly do you do? In what industry do u work? I was beginning to feel offended but now I see u make a lot of sense. Obviously, u came out wiv a first class (u sound that way anyway).I'm just tired. I feel woefully stressed out- semester after semester I try but the results are not what I expect. I have one more year to go (and one more chance-i mite add) to give one last shot. Till then, I'm focusing on taxation for my ican exams in sept. |
I don't understand you, or perhaps u misunderstood me. If I come out with a 2:1, will that not be an academic achievement? Would u rather hire someone who graduated with a 3rd class, who has a few skills than hire and train someone who came out wiv a 1st class wiv no skills? |
@ Ajanlekoko. From an employers point of view, do u really support that? |
Kevin, not to sound fanatical here but I strongly suggest u go to mfm for deliverance. I sympathize wiv u but words of encouragement aren't really practical evn though they'll lift ur spirit. What happens after the emotional high? |
I think I'm just going to devote myself strictly to passing. I do not see how I can combine trying to develop soft skills and trying to come out wiv a 2:1 at unilag |
@ anvaller.Well I can't afford overseas studies 4 now, I'm studying economics by the way and I'm also writing professional accounting exams. As for networking, since I'm a bit of an introvert, I'm starting off with nairaland. I'm also thankful to God for people like u anvaller |
Davidylan and anvaller: cool it both of u. I started this thread because I'm in danger of graduating wiv a 2:2. What with missing scripts and lecturers advances. What can I do now. I'm resuming as a final year student in october. I do appreciate ur opinion guys. |
702 that is some food for thought.I'm scared though |
Hiya, I was wondering if GPA matters when one leaves school. Why are employers more apt to pick someone who finished wiv a first class over someone who finished with a second class? Why the undue emphasis on GPA when university studies is geared towards theoretical research (which makes it especially prone to plagiarism and monotony) |
Eh yah. I'm in lagos and right now I'm studying management. |
Its easy to read an inspirational book and get an emotional high for the moment. The reason is because the author appeals to the emotions of the reader. Look @ robert schuller, the author of 'tough times never last but tough people do. he built an all glass church on a technique called 'possibility thinking'. He dedicated the church debt free(allegedly), only for the church to file for bankruptcy recently. AS at the time I read it, I was completely deflated cos I had just started readin another of his books. My advise is to be who u are and be comfortable with that fact. Believe u can be better and make sure there is no interest in ur life to which christ is not brought. |
