Education / Re: Police Sprays Tear Gas In UNILAG/MAU: Gunshots Too by Jasiel(f): 12:09pm On Jun 01, 2012
Hall mistresses came very early to new hall, assembled us all and told us why we have to go. The situation is going out of control and area boys have invaded the school .... Srs, and police everywhere ...
Education / Re: Police Sprays Tear Gas In UNILAG/MAU: Gunshots Too by Jasiel(f): 11:58am On Jun 01, 2012
We can't leave the school: the Dsa's message was later modified that we can stay and if u read yesterday's punch ASUU chairman Dr. Ogbinaka said the decision was hasty and lectures would resume on monday....but that's beside the point.
@ filebe : where are u guys?
Education / Re: UNILAG/MAU Students Block 3rd-Mainland-Bridge by Jasiel(f): 1:09pm On May 30, 2012
First and foremost, we're not daft...GEJ decided to look for trouble for himself when there was none. Are there no other serious issues for him to focus on For your information, those u see  the bridge are those who have been locked out of campus... The school gates (front and back) have been locked . Students inside are stranded and those locked out proceeded to third mainland bridge

NYSC / Re: Marriage After NYSC: Why Do People Talk About This? by Jasiel(f): 1:02am On May 30, 2012
My parents and everyone else are doing exactly the same thing. Everywhere I turn questions are being asked about marriage and who I'm dating. If my parents' words could be recorded in six line paragraphs, each paragraph will have about 5 lines of "bone of bones" and "flesh of flesh". I do want to get married someday and because I love kids, I want some of my own too but I also feel like there's more to me and life than just ending up in a marriage without fulfilling my dreams....

Education / Re: UNILAG Renamed 'Moshood Abiola University' by Jasiel(f): 12:20pm On May 29, 2012
My head is banging... Students are protesting seriously here on campus...this kind of situation is potentially dangerous…there's noise and screaming everywhere and these soldier men with their guns look trigger happy, like its the first time they might actually get to fire shots at real people...SMH
Education / Re: UNILAG Renamed 'Moshood Abiola University' by Jasiel(f): 10:04am On May 29, 2012
This is truly the highest definition of dull but I don't think the change will be immediate. So a bit of hope to those of us in final year- our certificate might not read Moshood Abiola University…

Food / Re: Who Else Doesn't Like The Chicken Head? by Jasiel(f): 8:48pm On May 21, 2012
I've never liked it. Once, when I was younger I used to steal chicken from the soup. So my aunt set a trap for me: she put a small very delicious pot of soup on the cooker and went out: I crept out of my room and tiptoed to the pot and stuck my fingers inside and came across a huge piece of meat...I immediately grabbed it and ran licking and sucking all the way...midway to my room, I slowed down because this particular piece of chicken had an irregular shape. I examined it closely and found it was a chicken head..hair, beak and everything complete...it was as if I saw a ghost...all the hair on my body stood on end...I screamed at the top of my lungs and flew into the kitchen and threw that thing straight back into the pot...needless to say, I never pinched meat from any pot again.

Religion / Re: Atheist And A Christian In Danger by Jasiel(f): 7:00pm On Apr 29, 2012
I agree with cyrexx. I also believe truth has its timing... It could be tomorrow or it could be years from now but when God is ready for you logicboy, u will watch ur atheistic beliefs crumble before your very eyes. Again, I don't mean to be malicious
Religion / Re: Atheist And A Christian In Danger by Jasiel(f): 2:02am On Apr 29, 2012
I mean no disrespect but I would like to know logicboy better. I'm not interested in preaching to u or even trying to convince you about christianity. I would just like to get to know u. I'm serious
Religion / Re: Why People Don't Understand Prophets by Jasiel(f): 1:46pm On Apr 27, 2012
Idolatory was the main reason God punished his people. But never mind, u won't understand how grave a sin idolatory is and it isn't worth my while explaining to u.
Religion / Re: Why People Don't Understand Prophets by Jasiel(f): 1:23pm On Apr 27, 2012
Logicboy I suggest u get a bible. It would go a long way in clearing up a lot of things beyond your understanding. Elisha did not of his own accord withhold rain for the purpose of making people starve. You don't understand the circumstances in and for which those events occurred.
Besides that u argue blindly only puts ur ignorance on display. You're not as good a debater as you u so ignorantly claim.
Religion / Re: Why People Don't Understand Prophets by Jasiel(f): 1:15pm On Apr 27, 2012
I understand and respect the office of the prophet...No doubt about that but I don't think any prophet has a sovereign authority to bless, curse, judge or condemn except that mandate comes from heaven.... In which case, it mostly has anyway.
TV/Movies / Re: Desperate For Disney..... by Jasiel(f): 6:57pm On Apr 14, 2012
The difference between the authentic DVD and a pirated one will become clear once u slot it into your dvd player. Nigerians have so perfected the art of stealing, it couldn't get any worse. I'll go hunting for it  monday though.
TV/Movies / Re: Desperate For Disney..... by Jasiel(f): 11:33pm On Apr 13, 2012
I know but where to find it is the problem. My guess is that since its so old, it won't be easily available and I just can't bring myself to buy a pirated copy.

Hiya every1. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me where to get walt disney's cartoon - Tarzan. I just downloaded the trailer and the memories came flooding back to me of when I was younger. Can anyone help me please??
Education / How To Deal With Rude Lecturers?? by Jasiel(f): 1:54pm On Apr 10, 2012
Hello people! My lecturer didn't complete his course outline and divided the topics among us. The deal was that we would each present our topics (we're just 5 taking the course). He later said we should submit the assignments instead of presenting. I called him today to ask when he wants the assignments and he was soooooooo rude, so crabby, so horribly ogre. He told me to stop disturbing him and that we should present the assignments, and hung up on me. He didn't even say when and I have no intention of calling him again. I called the others doing the course and duly informed them. The thing is I still feel terrible about it...
Business / Re: First Bank ATM Ate My Money. What Should I Do? by Jasiel(f): 2:48pm On Mar 26, 2012
you guys are wonderful. i love u all so much (especially those of u who had my back). i wonder why someone would think i dont know how to use an atm machine. mtcheeewww. anyway i got a reverse debit entry and didnt need to shout the bank down although i have to say i was already spoilt for war. unfortunately, i met some one the next day who experienced the same problem and was yet to receive a reversal. my conclusion is that although we've made considerable progress, this country isnt yet ready for a cashless policy

Access Bank Is Most Useless - What Should I Do?

angryokay, so i went to withdraw some money from a first bank atm with an access card only for the machine to debit me and pay me nothing. i'm really getting fed up and frustrated. i cant sleep for this reason, nor can i even study and im just so upset about the whole thing. you might wonder what the big deal is and why i wont just go and complain:

I'll give you two reasons
1. this is not the first time this is happening
2. i need the money like right now

The first time it happened, I complained but nothing was done about it-i decided not to drag it cos it was a small amount. now, the amount is big and I'm feeling nauseated right now. I'm thinking of storming the bank first thing Monday morning and yelling the whole place down. short of this, I don't know what else to do? can u guys please help me out
Career / Re: Ajanlekoko- I Need You by Jasiel(f): 6:05pm On Dec 31, 2011
No problemo. There's no question about fabricating figures . My own supervisor demands to see materials for every chapter written
Career / Re: Ajanlekoko- I Need You by Jasiel(f): 1:51pm On Dec 31, 2011
@ chamber
Thanks but apparently u didn't see my earlier posts about the ministry of finance . That textbook you're talking about is kinda outdated. I did structure of the Nigerian economy in year 3 and our lecturers weren't keen on the book. In any case, I don't recall seeing vat revenues in there. Actually, I don't know where the ministry is in lagos. If I did I would go there asap. Concerning my supervisor, u have no idea what he's like. Students generally work according to what their supervisor wants and this guy wants an MRA done. Since ASUU is on strike, there's no hope of reaching him anyway
Career / Re: Ajanlekoko- I Need You by Jasiel(f): 1:17pm On Dec 31, 2011
Then u'll have to shed more light cos I have no idea what you're talking about .

Exactly! The guy is bent on a regression Analysis

Nitrogen, this ur friend, what school is he in? What is he studying? I think I want to get to know him. Thanks u guys for replying.
Career / Re: Ajanlekoko- I Need You by Jasiel(f): 11:17am On Dec 31, 2011
Eeeehhhhnnnn! So Ajanlekoko is in Finland ! No wonder ! He would have replied asap. U guys I don tire. It would look very unserious if I went back to my supervisor for a topic change. Besides, I feel like despite all odds, something can be done.
Career / Ajanlekoko- I Need You by Jasiel(f): 11:33pm On Dec 30, 2011
Hiya; sorry if I alarmed you but this is an issue I want u and others to help me out with; I'm writing my final year project on the impact of VAT on the nigerian Economy and I'm having a bit of trouble. First, I have materials but they're not enough. Secondly, in the research papers I have, none of the authors ran a regression analysis which is what I intend to do. I'm actually looking for figures for vat revenues from 1986 till 2010. Everything I see is from 2003, its too short a timeline for the computer programme. Thirdly , some people suggested I go to the federal ministry of finance which I'm all for but the catch there is that the ministry is in abuja and I'm in Lagos . I don't know if they have an office in lagos, if they did I would run there… I was also meaning to ask you, in a topic I posted some months earlier, u told me u studied electrical engineering! Did u by any chance teach mechanical engineering @ Lautech - ogbomosho? I heard an ex student talk about a lecturer named ajanlekoko and I wondered if u and he were the same. Cheers
Education / Help: I Need Data From Federal Ministry Of Finance by Jasiel(f): 8:22pm On Dec 29, 2011
Hiya all. I'm working on the impact of vat on the nigerian economy as my final year project and I'm having trouble obtaining data for my analysis- I'm running a regression analysis . Anyway someone suggested I go to the ministry of finance which I'm all for except for the fact that the ministry is in abuja and I'm in lagos. Can anybody help me out here? Where is ajanlekoko when I need him?

People will always use their mouths either wisely or unwisely. Why should u let another person's foolishness upset u?
