Please kindly enlighten me : I had a K1 visa issued to me at Johannesburg embassy , nothing was returned to me from the package/petition my USC fiancee had filed with USCIS/NVC... I assumed this stuffs were included in the sealed envelope given to me to present at the POE but to my surprise i wasn't given back anything after presenting all to the officer at POE in Houston TX, all that i got after about an hour of drilling session was welcome to America and my passport handed back to me.

My concerns are: when will they return our documents from the filed petition ? am i not supposed to receive a form i-94 at the POE which enables me to apply for a SSN? Our 90 days ends in January but intend to marry this month but how do i go about adjusting my status after marriage and what documents are needed to do so?

Bro am trying to put myself in your shoes right about now and i must admit this is no easy situation to find yourself as its so so complicated but firstly just know that nobody in this world but you can help you in this kind of thing.. How? You've got to start talking to God in every way you know how to.. They surely have every details to the stuff they're asking you to defend and they'll wait for your response before they nail you, Also you don't wanna go to their office or have them invite you over and then you try to convince them on something they have confirmed beyond reasonable doubts that its fraudulent!! They might as well put you in a car and drive you down to the bank where its claimed to be printed and then you're in it alone (just saying)... At this point you should only be thinking of how you can just get your passport back and forget about them out-rightly but how can this be? Ignore their request and let the 30days pass , wait another 1 or 2 weeks and see if your stuff will be returned with your refusal notice, i believe they wont ban you just immediately if you don't respond and they dont wanna keep your documents with them by refusing you and returning your stuffs to you but one thing i can guarantee you is that they will surely FLAG you!!!

If 30days is over and you still don't hear from them after 2extra weeks , Just try and compose a very good and convincing email or letter explaining why you've not been able to get back to them and that you will be happy if your application is closed and your other documents returned to you "" Go talk to a very good lawyer who can draft convincing letter admitting some of your known flops which also the embassy are aware of but won't say it out just yet, dont come out all flat like hell yea its fake, but like your sponsor couldn't get you the details you need to defend what they asked you to defend and you've been really struggling with it, press them to refuse you ,,,,( A lawyer with his briefcase can steal more than a hundred men with guns. ) Get a smart+corny solicitor bro!!!!

Mom and uncle were the sponsors but not enough funds in moms which is why i included co-sponsor, i submitted a lot of documents with 5different landed documents included and one even in my name , pop is late but yea i guess all those re just ties .. i submitted my share certificates worth of 500k as well but i didnt include my bank statement simply because i didn't run the account well enough..

If i have to reapply i'll just have to boost my moms and my account but as it is she's gone back to usa and wont be visiting 9ja until maybe xmas next year so its difficult now... I can as well run mine and reapply maybe but i dont think just mine will do , truth be told i really cant stand all this hyper tracking stuff with dem anymore LMAO... i'll just wait and further my studies in USA by the grace of God and i will just be taking a stroll into Canada to see you guys and have some fun xoxoxoxoxo

1. You have not satisfied me that u have adequate funds available to u to pay for your tuition and living expenses while in Canada and return to your country of residence.

2. You have not satisfied me that u will leave Canada by d end of d period authorized for your stay.

I think i already know where i got it all wrong and like i said , This year you've got to be sponsored by a relative (immediate relative). Parents or siblings and if uncle , you just must prove your relationship with every documents available..

I won't be reapplying simply because in less than 2yrs i should be called for interview to receive permanent residence @d US embassy, parents and siblings are citizens and one of them already filled their papers for me sometime ago and tracking its progress it appears they're very fast about the processing as it stand and you'll know exactly when they'll make a decision on your filling.... You can checkout www.uscis.gov to know more about this awesome thing...

No i didn't go to their office as i don't just wanna look desperate or curious but if it comes to that i'll have to' if just to withdraw my stuff (maybe)... So its exactly 3months today that CDHC received and started processing my application , its still being processed with no medical invite yet.. I think i have waited enough expecting a miracle but as it is right now i wouldn't mind having my passport back asap because i need to refresh and reboot by visiting UK on a long long holiday lol....It'll be stupid of me to request that they deny me and send back my docs so i'll just wait another 1month in their nest and see where it all ends but to be honest , The Wait is really a Killer Instinct....

@all ... Once you have submitted your application to CDHC for processing, make sure you're drawing out plans for the plan B you had in mind before submission.

That is misleading, do not advice people to start withdrawing the money marked for school fees or other expenses while their application is still pending. Yes embassy can catch you up on that, the idea that bank can not disclose your details to the embassy is just not true, you have given all your details to the embassy already so which details are you talking about again?

Hi Mate... sorry but this is not misleading, i wouldn't advice anyone to take out their money and go throw a party with it but if you wanna do a turnover in terms of business why cant u use your money, even the embassy don't expect that account to be idle, i believe once you print out the statement they can call a bank and ask about the existence of that account and how long you've been operating it, if the embassy should go to the bank in person( wen ur case is too deep) they can ask the bank to confirm if the printed out statement is original and if the money is there on the date it was printed yes i agree a bank can give this details... But then again Sir, no bank in this world will give anybody your current balance as @ the moment because only you the account owner have access to that and they can only reveal that to you and nobody but you.... If the embassy wanna catch u up on waever , they can only demand that you pay your tuition in full not because the bank said you dont have money in that account anymore because if thats the reason then they can automatically refuse the application based on that... Let me say i dont know about your bank but my bank GTB will never give anybody the current status or balance of my account ! If the embassy ask you to print out another statement , you can rightfully explain why you withdrew and deposited again and they'll respect that but you dont withdraw and make your account dormant... I HOPE YOU DONT SEE THIS AS AN ARGUMENT BUT ITS D LITTLE I KNOW SIRE....

@Mercylicious.... but seriously do you also have that thinking a bank or your bank will ever disclose your balance to anyone ? be it embassy or president of Nigeria... My brother , they work on what you've printed out and all they can verify is if that account is an existing account simple...You can use your money anytime you wanna while your application is pending... I repeat ' No bank in this world will disclose anything personal to anyone in this world...If you doubt me then ask your bank manager what the embassy confirms from them.... They simply wont give anybody your balance never and if any bank does that, they have breached the agreement btw them and you.. Cheers..

@Noswaa, If you must disvirgin your passport before you can be granted a Canadian study or visit visa then i believe 80% of Nigerians are not qualified for their visa and then the embassy shouldn't be doing business with us...We just happen to live in a country where nobody gives a Bleep cus really Canadian embassy and their requirements+processing is shit but who cares so far they got the visas....

Dont worry your documents already passed fit for TRV and it'll come into manifestation in 5-7 working days ..Claim it

@Codebrain ....wow i really do understand your frustration bro because its hard trying to imagine why an application is being delayed dis much but at this point i'll suggest you stop calling Vac and probably just email the embassy at ""(lagos.immigration@international.gc.ca) . You can just email them saying you want to know the present status of your application and remember to put inn the following info...

Names:
date of birth:
passport number:
date of submission and ref number...

Maybe you necessarily don't have to write them though but if you think you're so pissed then just do it or better still go to their office in person, they won't hold you for wanting to know why you've not heard from them...Cheers

@beehandz... you cannot appeal any decision because its stated that all decision is final but you can only reapply if you have additional documents to back your application up.... I'll suggest you get a new start date and plan towards January... I hope am right on this...
