kikuyu2: Exactamundo! It shouldn't be hard-bleating repetetively about a tiny 70 bn$,actually a 90 bn% GDP, looking for relevance won't answer the question. You've been shown how to correlate with consumption data.Come on obadeeremi,freshest4live,justtoodark,jason14 and uzzolik its not that hard! ITS ACTUALLY A STIMULATING INTELLECTUAL EXERCISE! see guy believe whatever makes u feel better it doesn't change anything, we Nigerians know who we are and where we stand in Africa , we are not looking for relevance . Africa will progress when Nigeria progresses. just like d way d world wasn't progressing until america started progressing , and China to Asia its destiny my friend, some countries are destined for greatness , even if it takes Nigeria 1000yrs to progress it will surely come and wen it comes it wud be massive and thats wen people will start respecting Africa . but for now forget it if Kenya like it shud turn to england, it won't still change anything in Africa , it wud just be a fine country nothing else , no impact , no influence nothing just the truth Jason has spoken |

rvp20182: They know where to catch you- you can't get any loan from them and if you try they simply tell to you to devalue Naira - Nigeria GDP eventually will come down to it's base - you see how you lost 120B dollars - in 2-3yrs and right now you still need to devalve your currency to 360 to a dollar - and then your GDP will drop to 320B - and that would still be about 80-100B inflated. Your real GDP is 250B.
Cooking GDP like Nigeria tried is waste of time and energy. Your real GDP is about 200-250B...and I am being very very generous. You still have naira that is over-valued (market rate is 360 against official of 300), interest rates are 25% plus, all the macro-economic a mess, revenues very little, taxes miniscule.
Your cooked GDP will self- correct. Give it time buddy. Obviously it's way over-cooked. OK it's 20bn |

rvp20182: That is expected from a Nigerian and explain your backwardness. You think idea of starting the school is novel? It just that things happened in Kenya - because we have the enviroment. If it didn't work in Kenya - it would have died. Bridges only expanded after proofing their model would work in Kenya. Nigeria & India those are recently.
So yes Bridges is as Kenyan as it's get. It's HQ is here and it's contributing to kenyan economy. I can really see Kenya's forwardness 70bn GDP is an example of a forward country |

rvp20182: Agreed - We should be competing with South Africa - not 500B dollar gorrilla of peanuts. To compete with Nigerians is to have very low ambitions. Kenya compete globally in many sectors..why should we lower ourselves to your pitiable level. Chance are if you go to Europe..the tea or coffee you'll take will be from Kenya, the flowers on the table, the vegetables, the nuts you'lll east, the lifetime vacation or safari and now even mobile payments will be from kenya. Jesus ! so by exporting tea , coffee And flower that's how u complete globally and I told u that if Kenya's life goal is to be like south Africa then u have no vision we Nigerians aim to be like China, Brazil , america(world powers ) ,we have things in common with these countries and the possibility of us becoming like these countries are very high the fact that u aspire to be like south Africa means u are a petit and insignificant nation indeed |

rvp20182: What for? Entertainment is the least of our concerns. And it should be for nigerians. Bigger fish to fry. The sector has ZERO multiplier. You have one entertainer making 10B dollars..and everyone else peanuts. There are industries to focus on...MANUFACTURING for starters has a multiplier of 10...the highest. oga shey u know entertainment is one of Americas largest exports , and they.make billions of dollars every year from entertainment. so what nonsense are u saying |

rvp20182: Very predictable - entertainment - I ask you again name one nollywood movie that has made some money worth talking about. Kenya's Oscar award winning actress Lupita Nyongo is making more money than entire nollywood from black panter - and here you're shouting entertainment and Cinemas . I think her share of now 1.3B dollars from black panter will eclipse all your third rate Naija movies.
Dangote then Banks then GDP then Entertainment - Nigerians so predictable - there is basically nothing in the country except pea nuts.

rvp20182: Everything is starting to make sense now. Their cooking is audacious though. Anyway that is Nigerian we all know. As regard to kenya - I can easily give a quick ran through of where all 85-88B (WB-IMF) is coming from. Our agriculture is around 25% of 85B-- around 21B dollars. Dairy alone is like 5% of our GDP - we finally have kicked South Africa butt on that!!! - and are exporting to east, south & central africa - middle east and Asia. That about 4-5B dollars or more - for dairy with around 5B liters of milk - tea around 1.5-2b dollars (global leaders( - horticulture I think is now 2-3B dollars(global leaders). Coffee around 500Musd. That is already more than 10B dollars...and those are stuff that are verifiable because they are mostly exported..then add internally consumed sugar, maize, potatos, cattle production, rice, wheat...fishing..forestry..and you get the next 10B. We can go to each sector..and show these nigerians that you don't count BEANS,PEANUTS and COWPEAS - and call it GDP. and yet ur GDP is 70bn. I can't take this country seriously , its like a child thats throwing tantrums . I min wetin we wan use 70bn do |

What is total earning from nollywood & fashion seriously? - and what agriculture do you have - maybe cassava? coz you import tonnes of food. our entertainment industry is d biggest in Africa and one of d biggest in d world , it contributes largely to pur economy like america , don't come and be guessing here and do research ur country is heaven , still ur GDP is 70bn . rvp2018: Plans. Where you total revenues are so tiny. How will they materiliaze. Nigeria is using 1,800-4,000MW (when they max out) - so I don't think adding more MWs is the solution. She need to resolve the basic issues...pre-paid meters can solve cashflow issues plauging your power sector...and the turbines can turn again 24-7 and you'll be able to enjoy constant power like many African countries..including somalia which is at war.
But it's about PLANS and GDP and Dangote. lol none of these three u have . we still have entertainment industry that contributes largely to our economy ooo (which u still don't have) |

rvp2018: For the umpteenth time cooked GDP cannot be EATEN. It just one tool politician use to delude you. In your poverty you think you're the best in Africa - better than South Africa or Egypt. That is grand delusion. I mean it's still deluded to think the quality of life in say Ghana or Kenya is equal to Nigeria but that is forgivable.
Just travel to any Africa country - and you'll only compare nigeria to South Sudan, Somali,Burundi, DRC, Niger and Chad. Check any serious indices - not GDP - and you'll see Nigeria ranked bottom 10 - after Haiti, Chad, Niger, Burundi, South Sudn, Somalia, Central Africa Rep and maybe where else is life that bad? Benin and Togo maybe? Liberia & Sieraleone? Or Eritrea? And maybe Yemen? And Madagascar island. The very bottom 10-20 in every indices out there.
Ask any nigerian who has travelled to Nairobi or Kenya!! to tell you just how crappy and desperate your life is in Lagos.
But your politician will tell you're the African giant with biggest economy. The 21st century joke! Better than South Africa and Egypt - nigger nigeria? baba show me Nairobi's GDP and stop talking rubbish abeg. all this ones u are saying is not important ....JASON THE NAIJA DUDE .. |

rvp2018: Let me first finish reading the fact that you can't afford to open your car windows in lagos - otherwise your phone will be gone. Is that 2002? Are smartphones that damn expensive. Thugs with guns breaking car windows?
Please kindly accept the fact that Lagos is crappy little mega slum and can't be compared to Nairobi...
I mean after struggling the whole day with generator..going back home to your electricity less, water less, sewage less house...you still have to battle thugs amid horrendous traffic in some of the most grotesque public transport. I really feel for you guys. And then you switch on the generator again at home and whole city start the humming along in the most annoying generator din - that will kill me.
And lets not talk about Okada - the motorbike for today - I know they are in kenya - but not in nigeria number - okada noise+generator noise - that got to drive many folks insane.
https://www.nairaland.com/2653841/uber-partner-lagos-please-share/665#67032862 lol this electricity less , water less and sewage less state has a GDP larger than ur country and east Africa , oga shey u know that d development of a country or state reflects on its GDP . d fact that Lagos has a GDP larger than the whole of east Africa shows how much Lagos is developing. FYI Theres not a single drop of oil in Lagos ( efoee u say its oil that made Lagos so rich) u said Nairobi is heaven and earth , yet it has no GDP . so I ask where does ur "development" reflect on. is it nairaland?lol ....JASON THE NAIJA DUDE |
