Now they have an option to confine their perceived enemy, they protesting.

Morons!
Shut the hell up...How can you confine a violent group to a particular space and have peace at night...The herdsmen have become notorious for their violent activities( 4th most dangerous terrorist organisation in the world) and that's why people don't want them. and why is the Federal Government taking a special interest in them. is cattle herding not an agri-business just like poultry or pig farming etc why is a group known for violence given so much attention by trying to appease them. Since when did we start appeasing criminals in society.

Is it only Fulani's that are herdsmen? Stop attributing a crime to a tribe. Their are Okada robbers and their are decent ones. It happens in every industry. Should we say everything in Alaba or Aba is fake because its a hub of piracy.

No price is too expensive for peace to reign and No tribe is important than the other. Manufacturers are giving government loans at discounted interest rate, farmers are giving lands for cultivation at very subsidized rate, Militants are giving amnesty, And investors are wooed with incentives worth more than this.

So if this development will bring peace and draw a boundary, Its highly welcomed.
You are mad...so after all the kidnappings, rapings and murders, they should get land as as compensation or what? so was the violence perpetuated by this group all because they were looking for settlements. If that's the case then watch as criminal gangs begin to spring up and demand whatever they want from govt in this foolish society called Nigeria. you don't encourage bad behaviour, deal with it.

El Rufai appoint SAs, 3 yorubas among. Some misguided and ignorant youths suffering from amnesia hail him as an achiever just because of "names". They start blasting other people rejoicing at the alliance between the North-West. Tomorrow, El-rufai shades Tinubu, Fulani herdsmen terrorize South-West , you won't find those idiotic praise singers. No wonder it is so easy to decieve this geneation of Nigerians. Full of ignorant people who do not the history of their politics or government, that is why they can be impressed with names.

Elected under APGA, defected to PDP in 3 months time to fulfill his personal ambitions. Nigerians by now should know that the major political parties do not serve the interest of the people. The ease of changing parties just shows that the only thing these politicians do is to play politics. There is a total disregard for the interest of the people. So the people who voted for APGA are fools now because what they hoped to achieve by voting APGA is gone. You complain of the state of the country and yet you keep on reinforcing bad leadership that created the problems in the first place.

Zombies will come here to celebrate thinking they are winning because their political masters are winning. 4 years no change in your life, no improvement in the country and you are happy because your party won. They think this is a premier league match. Whether APC wins or PDP loses, Nigeria as a country os losing. Between those political parties and politicians, there is no winner or loser. They are taken care of for life, the average Nigerian is the biggest loser

People of Imo state, I'll advise you to ignore those hawks and vultures up there screaming sabotage. Rochas was and is still a disaster to the people of Imo. If Ihedioha is spending the early period of his administration exposing the rot in Rochas administration, then it is because there is something to expose in the first place. I don't understand how anybody will empathize or even attempt to defend a monumental failure in governance as Rochas. You should know that the APC media is trying to spin the failure of Rochas and make it look like that the new governor is clueless. They did it in 2014, look at where we are now. APC is a huge propaganda machinery, if you are not a critical thinker, you will be easily swayed. They don't mind spending money on media hirelings to look good in the eyes of the public when they are rotten to the core. To quote a prominent Senator " They spray perfume on faeces".

The Commission’s monitoring reports on AIT/Raypower indicate the use of divisive comments accredited to the segment of “Kakaaki”, tagged, “Kakaaki Social”, where inciting comments like, “Nigeria is cursed, we declare independent state of Niger Delta”, “Nigeria irritates me”, “this country is gradually Islamizing” and other similar slogans are used without editorial control in breach of the broadcast.
Nice one NBC It’s in Order
"Nigeria irritates me" is what you define as hate speech? Who is not irritated by the terrible situation in this country, where people do not mind risking their lives to cross deserts and oceans just to get out. You know something about you APC asslickers, nothing that this govt does is out of place. always finding ways to defend impunity at the highest. I can't tell if this is sheer ignorance or you guys just want to sound intelligent but i remeber that shiite who was a staunch supporter of Buhari. When the dogs of impunity came for him, his overlord was not there to save him. So keep supporting lawlessness, when it comes for you that is your own cup of tea.

Iblad0994:
I get your point bro. But looking at the matter as a whole, there is more to this than just comparing project just by the cost.

Even if the government wants to steal, why will they bring out that exuberant price difference? That alone should tell you there are modalities and the report by the OP is just the heading, if you do the feasibility studies you will unravel the reasons for the price differences.

The media now just carry news without giving in-depth explanation as to the reason why things happened. Just that I currently don’t have time now, if I can make just little bit of research we will know why the prices are different and we can reach a logical conclusion.

But in conclusion, prices will always be different for project across countries even with the same contractors coz situations are different. Why the price difference is this much, I don’t know but I know that if proper research is done, that will be unraveled and logical deductions can be made whether the government inflates the price or not.
Thank you. My submission is also based on past history of Nigerian govt inflating projects. Last year there was also a report that it is more expensive to build a km of road in Nigeria than most countries of the world
PoliticsRe: Railway Projects: Cost Comparison Between Nigeria Vs Ethiopia by JAWBONE(m): 8:29pm On Jun 06, 2019
Iblad0994:
This is the most false statement I’ve ever seen in my life. Why will the price of Toyota be thesame everywhere?? Don’t you factor in import tax, clearance, government policy.

I know of lot of countries that the price of cars are damn expensive such that people don’t even want to import cars because government charge too much on duties to discourage people from importing.

Take for example trade sanction on imported vehicles in other countries, do you mean the car price there will be thesame as another country without sanctions??

The cost to build one mile of road depends on the terrain, country, source to raw materials and lot of other factors. Do you mean the cost to build one mile of road in Brazil will be the same as that of Nigeria for example?

He is trying to correct you and you’re calling him zombie. Sometimes you argue not to win but to learn bro.
When Toyota produces car, they put a price on it. If the price changes, then it as a result of the specific country economic policies. The price difference among countries cannot be very significant. A brand new toyota cannot cost 30000 dollars in US and sell for 25000 dollars in Nigeria when converted to Naira at production cost, if the cost of importation from Nigeria for American buyers is not up to 5000 dollars, they would simply stop buying Toyota in America and start importing from Nigeria.

Cost to build a mile of road does not depend on terrain only. Yes terrain matters, even in Nigeria it costs more to build a road in the South than in the North because of the terrain
but that does not explain why a bigger project in size and functionality would cost less than a similar project. Terrain does not fully explain why a smaller railyway project in Nigeria should cost more than a bigger railway project in Ethiopia.

The projects are the same because they are both railway projects constructed by the same company?

So, Toyota Camry car in Nigeria and Ethiopia share the same cost just because they are made by the same company?

I hope and pray that you people are not the smartest people in your village because if so, your village is doomed. grin grin
The price of a brand new Toyota camry cost the same anywhere, any price difference would be negligible or else people would take advantage to arbitrage. I know your brain cannot comprehend what I just typed because you have donated it to sycophancy but just try and do some research. ZOMBIE

1. Ethiopia is a country, Lagos is a state in Nigeria

2. Ethiopia is constructing a rail project, but Lagos is constructing Metro rail project with 10 lane freeway and BRT bus access

3. Ethiopia borrowed money from China, Lagos state is self-funding their metro rail

4. Ethiopia is not building a metro system with many rail bridges, on swampy land in Iganmu, across the Lagos Lagoon and the Lagos Marina

The Lagos Metro rail is the largest public works in Africa, it's what sovereign Nations embark with sovereign wealth on, not states.

As we speak, work is still going on non-stop.

Again, if you are going to compare, do so intelligently with facts, knowledge and accurate information to compare with because it is really silly and ignorant to keep comparing unrelated projects in different countries with different sets of issues, terrain and basic facts.
Cost has nothing to do with your first and third point. The chinese will not charge more because Lagos is a state or because it is self-funded by LASG (which I doubt). And please backup your other points with figures if you can. Yes the nature of the projects differ but when you look at the magnitude of both projects and their respective price difference, there are questions that needs to be answered.

I know it's all hatred, politics and tribalism as usual with you people, but damn, are you people this shallow and unintelligent for real?
If you are talking about extras here, it's the Ethiopian one that should then cost more. Don't try to spin this around. Corruption is clearly involved in the Nigerian. A governorship aspirant in Lagos state made reference to this in the last elections.

Why do you people think so dumbo and rettarded?
You are the retarded one here, the point is the Ethiopian rail is six times longer than Nigeria's and can use electricity which naturally should cost more than a shorter diesel powered train. Go and do your research before you open your gutter mouth to defend corruption
