we don't have issues with color.....what we're all saying is that "what we call dark here is what u call chocolate there and what u call dark there is what we call very dark here". its as simple as that.

What you are not getting is the fact that in Kenya colour does not really matter and it shocks us when we see you guys minding to be classified as lightskin/ camel, chocolate and Dark.

Did anyone ever say that most Nigerians are light skinned? Most are dark skinned, but our dark skin is not as dark as the definition of dark skin with you guys, period.
Among our rich and middle class populations, it is like a 50/50 between the dark & caramel, light skinned.

No Nigerian will ever argue that majority of our people are dark skinned, buh the dark skinned definition varies from normal dark skin (which you guys identify as chocolate to extremely dark skin which you guys identify as normal dark skin). Nobody will deny this!

Another thing is that, most Nigerians in Kenya are of poor backgrounds. Rich or middle class Nigerians hardly leave Nigeria to another African country except on schooling or business purposes!
[b]Now, we all know that poorer people in Africa tend to get exposed to the sun day n night [/b]and hardly take care of themselves, so of course, they will look darker than those from rich/middle class homes who are always in the air- conditioned comfort of their homes or offices.

If you guys cannot grasp all these, then i sincerely give up on you guys!

I think mtis was right. The guys chased all white people and they now want to be white. Do you know its the first time I am coming to think of Nigerians as possibly more light skinned than kenyans? Maybe the very dark skinned ones have dominated top positions and sports because I was always used to seeing generally dark skinned guys.

Who said Nigerians are light? We only said Nigerians in general are not extremely dark, and this is simple to understand. Your problem is that you only think of light or extremely dark, you don't know what chocolate is. I am surprised.

Forget about superior now, what genie is saying is that what you guys misunderstood to be light skin(even Hati had that misunderstanding) are people we see as dark or chocolate not light skinned, l'm surprised you guys don't know the difference. The average Nigerian is not as dark as the other west africans for that matter especially Senegalese and malians, but that doesn't make us superior to them, it's just the truth. To me it's not a crime to be dark or white, the skin colour arguement is no arguement, we just clearing misunderstanding.

Do you think Southern Europeans and Northern/Westeen Europeans are of the same skin tone? Hell no they are not.
The southern Europeans are mostly of Olive white skin tone while the northern & western Europeans are of pale white and ghostly pale white skin tones.

Back then during colonial America, Southern European immigrants in America were not classified as whites at first, cos they were not white enough according to the standards of western & northern Europeans. It was many years/decades later they finally got classified as whites.

Whites also differentiate themselves heavily by being blonde, brunette & raid-haired. Or better still by being blue-eyed, green-eyed or brown/black eyed.
You are not from a white community, so you may not know this. I have followed white debates and interractions on skin tones a lot.

Let me give you an example...people who live in Calfornia, Arizona in the US are "darker " than British. This is a result of weather conditions as the Britons sees lesser sun compared to Americans in those States. They've become tanned overtime because they ate exposed to much sunlight.
