Igbo Widow, Son in Tears, Beg As Lagos Government Auction Their Only Vehicle (Photos, Video)

Emotions were let loosed on Thursday when a widow, 49, Eorothy Dike and her son, Osinachi Ndukwe, wept openly as they begged for price reduction while their only vehicle bought at the rate of N1.8.million on hired purchase was being auctioned for N450,000, IGBERETV reports.

“I bought the bus at N1.8 million on hired purchase in 2021 and was plying Ijegun enroute Cele Expressway.

“The bus was three months old and I had remitted N300,000 when I drove against traffic in Cele area and the bus was impounded.

“Not only that, I was sentenced to three years imprisonment which I completed recently but before the completion, information reached me that my three years old daughter was ill due to lack of fund and before I completed the jail term, I got information that she had died.

“I am here with my mother with the expectation that we will buy the bus at the rate of N50,000. Surprisingly, the price was closed at N450,000 and we have 48 hours to complete the payment

“We have sold most of our belongings to feed and are left with nothing. This is a great problem before us. My father died while I was three years old and my mother has been there for me but there is no way she can raise N450,000.

“Who will I turn to at a time many Nigerians are finding it difficult to feed? I don’t know what to do again,” Osinachi Ndukwe said.

2023 Presidency: I Have Started Visualizing A Good Leader For Nigeria - IBB

Former Nigerian military Head of State, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB), rtd, has revealed the candidate he expects to win Nigeria's 2023 presidential election, IGBERETV reports.

Interviewer asks him: Who is that?

IBB continues: A person who travels in this country and has a friend virtually everywhere he travels. He knows at least one person he can communicate with. A person who is very vast in Economics. And then a good politician who should be able to talk to Nigerians. I have seen one or two or three already.

Interviewer asks him: Young, middle-age, elderly?

IBB replied: 60s.

Interviewer asks him: In their 60s?

IBB replied: yeah.

Interviewer asks him: You think that person should emerge in 2023?

IBB replied: I believe so, if we could get him.

Reno Omokri: Obi, Tinubu Are Regional Candidates. Atiku Is A National Leader (Video)

Reno Omokri, former aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, says Bola Tinubu and Peter Obi, presidential candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Labour Party (LP), respectively, are “regional candidates”, IGBERETV reports.

Omokri spoke on Wednesday during an interview on Channels Television.

Speaking about the 2023 general election, the former special adviser described Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as a “national candidate”.

“Right now, we have three major candidates; Atiku Abubakar is the only national candidate. If you talk about Peter Obi, he is a regional candidate,” he said.

“IPOB had a sit-at-home yesterday. Obidents and Peter Obi who normally have things to do in the south-east every day, they obeyed that IPOB sit-at-home and this is not the first time.

“Previously, IPOB’s sit-at-home was on Mondays. Obidents obeyed and Peter Obi himself obeyed it. They never had anything on a day IPOB held their sit-at-home. This shows that they are obeying IPOB rather than our constitution.

“If you talk about someone like Bola Tinubu, we saw it on TV and it went viral. In Ogun, when he was giving his basis for contesting this election, he said, in Yoruba, that it is the turn of the south-west. That is the basis — it is already a regional basis.

"Our candidate is the only candidate that is not coming from a regional, ethnic, and religious basis. He is saying ‘I am a unifier’. If you look at him, that man is ready. This is a national leader, who is ready to go.”

Anthony Joshua broke down in tears after losing his decisive rematch with Oleksandr Usyk.

After failing in his attempt to win back the unified WBO, WBA and IBF heavyweight titles from his nemesis Usyk, he was visibly enraged in the ring after the contest.

Speaking in the early hours at the post-fight press conference, the former champion was still overcome with emotion.

Attempting to explain how he felt, he faltered as he choked back tears, holding his head in his hands.

Anthony Joshua lost his temper after losing his rematch to Oleksandr Usyk and reacted angrily by throwing two belts and arguing with his team.

"I don't feel anything," he said at first, as he tried to come to terms with the effect of the loss, before he had to admit, "I'm upset deep down in my heart."

In the immediate aftermath of the fight, he had flung two championship belts from the ring, marched momentarily out of the arena before returning to grab the microphone, not initially giving Usyk, the champion, the chance to speak.
