They keep breaking up and getting back together. |
This is quite informative but the problem is most Nigerians don't read, and are careless with things. Case in point is the response above. In life you can never be too careful. Avoid problems at all costs and if your values do not align with what is being posted in a group, kindly exit it. Avoid police wahala, protect your mental health, protect your future. |
I believe the Diocese. Nigeria has too many bureaucratic bottlenecks that hinder efficiency from top to bottom. Don't be surprised that the person tasked with delivering that message still has it on a table somewhere. |

Akpabio breaks 59-year-old jinx, elected into Global Executive Committee of the Inter-Parliamentary Union The President of the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Leader of Nigeria's delegation to the 147th Inter-Parliamentary Union General Assembly in Luanda, Angola has broken a 59 year old jinx by being elected into the Executive Committee of the global parliamentary body. The last time Nigeria was elected into the Executive Committee of the Parliamentary Union was in 1964. The Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) is the global organization of national parliaments founded in 1889, and dedicated to promoting peace through parliamentary diplomacy and dialogue. It has grown over its 135 years into a truly global organization with 179 country members out of 193 countries in the world. The IPU facilitates parliamentary diplomacy and empowers parliaments and parliamentarians to promote peace, democracy and sustainable development around the world. A statement by the Special Assistant (Media/Communication) to the Senate President, Anietie Ekong said Senator Akpabio was overwhelmingly voted for by delegates across the world to emerge as an Executive Committee member of the Parliamentary Union with headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland for a three year mandate The 147th IPU Assembly was held in Luanda, Angola, from 21st to 27th October 2023 and hosted by the National Assembly of Angola. The Union in the week long Assembly deliberated upon important issues affecting nations across the world and considered actions to strengthen trust between people and governance structures, to make public institutions more effective, accountable and representative, and to better equip parliaments to address the multiple interconnected geopolitical, economic and environmental crises facing the world. https://twitter.com/NigeriaGov/status/1717979525273862581?t=EcBkFpDFnDdXfM1mq-CgaQ&s=19 |
Everyone who follows the industry knows this. Ever wondered why the actresses are seemingly wealthy while the actors are struggling? Nollywood na scam. The acting makes little, endorsements and "other things" make the rest. |
It was doing well until Elon decided to change strategy. First he renamed Twitter to X, then he started paying Ad revenue to content creators. Elon knows what competition is, and innovated. Thread was never going to be as big as X cos it's an offshoot of Instagram, and is still closely linked to it. No Thread account without an Instagram account so it's not unique. Mark would have to innovate if Thread hopes to catch-up with X. |
It's almost as if after BUA declared a price reduction, their cement has become unavailable. The problem seems to be less than enough supply to meet the rising demand, so sellers are hoarding for their personal use or something. Who nor like better thing? They should just increase their supply cos it doesn't seem like Dangote and others are willing to bring their prices down anytime soon. |
Finally these guys will get paid after the payment providers cornered the funds for months. Money that was already available. Truth is, most Nigerians have a tendency towards fraud but they just haven't had the opportunity yet. But was the name change necessary? |
It's a recurring theme. Even Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt got a divorce within 2 years, despite dating for over 10 years and having kids. Don't ask me the moral of the story, I don't know. ![]() |
This is an interesting piece. I understand Algeria will kick Israel out of an AU summit for geopolitical reasons, but you have to commend South Africa for standing up. However, it was all about politics for the AU. The AU recognises that Israel has been on a recent path of building relationships so that it can become the major player in middle-eastern politics, and it didn't want to be left behind. The current war with Hamas will take Israel several steps backward in its quest for regional socio-politico-economic dominance. Hamas knows this, and they had to act now to create a distraction. Even the proposed agreement between Saudi Arabia and Israel has been placed on hold. |
This was what I was referring to on another thread and some people were throwing insults like the illiterates they are. Israel left themselves too open this time. And it wasn't on purpose, like I've seen some people insinuating. No responsible government wants to see its citizens die this way, if they can do something about it. Hamas knows this, and will hang on to those kidnapped Israelis as leverage. |
Man is going on a well deserved rest. No way he was rushing back to receive another round of shege that Nigerians are currently witnessing, after what he has seen for the last couple of years. In a few months when he's back, he'll be looking like one young bobo. Make money oo. |
As a man, I know I've delivered well when she immediately falls asleep after the do. ![]() It doesn't matter whether I fall asleep too, she needs to fall asleep first. ![]() |
Even women will tell you by themselves that they're complicated. If you like do transfer every second, if she wants to be complicated, she'll still be. Woman wen dey easily get mood swings for anything. ![]() |
TenQ:You, sir, have said it all. Soon, there'll be a ceasefire in the current phase. Only for another conflict to start in the West Bank or elsewhere in a couple of months. Just an endless cycle openly sponsored by Iran. |
Major1984:No sir, I'm not. ![]() Even though both parties fundamentally have different religions, this is a land dispute. Israel might defeat Hamas but the Palestinians won't leave their lands. Everything mustn't be about religion. Let's see how your prediction goes. ![]() |
TenQ:Seen. This just supports my view that this is one of their costliest losses in recent times, and it's still rising. You're right that Israel doesn't hold back when it goes to war but they will hate that they left themselves open to an attack on their own soil. Which is my original point. For example, the biggest losers of 9/11 were the Americans, even if they later destroyed Al-Qaeda. That's why they hold a memorial every year. |
ceejay80s:I'm not a Muslim but this just shows your ignorance. Mumu, don't face your country. Be claiming what you're not. |
The drums of war are only beaten by mad wo/men who have never spilled blood. Every true warrior avoids bloodshed unless it's inevitable, I swear. Nor be by hiding for back of keyboard dey type rubbish. You have to feel for those kids. |
Whichever way this goes, Israel would be at the losing end of this particular phase of the conflict. If senior military officers have been captured, as touted, Israel will have no option but to negotiate prisoner swaps. Either way, this crises will continue for another 100 years. Modified: Nigerians and their penchant for insults and emotions, instead of having knowledgeable conversations. No wonder your leaders take you for a ride. ![]() The death toll for Israel alone is already at 700, easily one of the most they've ever lost in a conflict, and you think that's not enough losses for them? This is not your government that doesn't value a single life. Israel lost this phase of the conflict because they're only reacting to the damage Hamas has caused, this has never been their way. Usually, Israel intercepts danger before it crosses their border. Even Israelis are wondering how all their intelligence and military organisations missed out on an attack of this magnitude. No amount of aggression on Gaza will bring back lives lost so they remain the biggest losers. Worst case is that they are at risk of losing the agreements they had with Arab neighbours like Jordan and Egypt if this conflict spirals out of control. Even the Saudi agreement has been placed on hold. Ignorant people said Israel doesn't swap prisoners, I laugh you. Anyway, like I said, the Israeli -Palestinian conflict isn't ending anytime soon. Also, I'm for neither side. Only stated the obvious. Masterito Gabbriell Dragunov TenQ |
Will desperation allow them listen? |
Who moved this to front page?? This is fake news. |
Ibadan is quite populated. They've identified a viable market and invested in it. Good luck to them. |
It's easier said than done. Nigerians are in for a very long ride. One way to consider is the interest rate. It's crazy how the CBN allowed money supply to run amok under Emefiele, even introducing a failed policy to rein in supply, instead of considering other less punitive measures for the masses. Simple economics dictates that people will rather do things when there are incentives for them to do so. How can you reconcile an interest rate of around 10% per annum while inflation rate is over 25%? Which sane person would keep their money in a bank when it keeps losing value? We are talking about people with billions of naira in financial assets who would rather not hold the naira. In simple English, equate the interest rate to the inflation rate. This could be done in phases. Borrowers will grumble but it will encourage savings. After all, how many of the loans given out have been used for productive ventures? |
Revolution2022:Assurance. Besides, there's more than adequate practice in schools these days due to the dearth of medical personnel. |
pedel:True. |
FSU:Okay. Thanks for the insults. |
yom2:True. But at this point we can only learn from it cos we don't even know what happened. |
