Why taunting the so-called 'homophobes' with the aim of getting them provoked? Why didn't you just like and/or comment then move on? Since when do people have to be cajoled or manipulated to like a normal or typical PPR post here? And by 'homophobes', @ednut1, I want to believe you're referring to those who see the LGBTs as weird and do not accept their ways of life. I think if I may argue for those you directed your post at, you should ask yourself one or two questions first, like; 1. have you bothered to put yourselves in the shoes of their loved ones and majority of the society who reject their ways and objectively reason why the latter take such stance? and 2. in this homosexuality 'of a thing', is there any record of it or claims supporting it in the Quran, or the Bible or even in any of the official books of any local tradition or that of the deities you can find around? Except of course you also want to deceive yourself that these religions do not predate the emergence of homosexuality... My goodness! She even confirmed she got pregnant and had a son but somehow still decided on her own that homosexuality is the best way of life for her. Yet, you are here 'shaking tables'. Yeye t'on run! Well, good thing is, she is now in a country that has come to accept homosexuality and given them equal rights with everyone else. Back to your derision. Yes, we all want to relocate to Canada because we believe it offers us and our generations to come, assured hope and secured future. So also, I have not seen it stated anywhere that one's application would be denied because they did not like or comment on an individual lesbian's post! I shouldn't have replied you actually but I had to because you crossed a certain boundary and I am not going to just sit back and pretend that your provocation is called for or justified. Shalom and all the best to everyone.ednut1: congrats, an interesting read . Some people no go even fit like this post . Many here are Homophobic but want to relocate to canada hahahahaha. |

You're quite right but he does really need 'the money' in this journey. Especially as a pharmacist that he is, getting to know that evaluating his degree alone with PEBC would cost between 450-500k can be so discouraging. But with the 'will and self motivation', he won't give up this easy. My advice: It's important he keeps his family size at 3 (to save himself some money) and start with the evaluation. Keep faith with this thread and take other processes one step at a time. nonen: You don’t need the money to start the journey, what you need is the will and self motivation, and everything else will start falling into right places. The problem now is that my friend's cousin has refused to talk to her since yesterday it seems he is not willing to help her further. Pls in the event that he is not willing to call them to confirm their ties what will happen to my friend? @Darocksvip @Iwinosified Rxs spotted. As men of honour... Iwinosified: . Have answers to number 1. For your PEBC evaluation, you really do not need to submit work experience letters. However, one of the requirements is a letter from PCN confirming you are a licensed pharmacist. Its called letter of good standing, and for you to be considered fully licensed, you must have completed your one year internship. So you're definitely eligible to apply for that when you begin with the evaluation. I'm assuming you already know the other requirements, ( Document evaluation PEBC) its somewhere here or better still, digest the PEBC website. Its well explained... If you have further questions, feel free to ask. In addition to your internship, your NYSC experience and locum jobs can be used in getting more points, should you decide to use them. In fact you should, CRS getting higher. Lastly, there are enough materials from well meaning people on this platform for the English exams. You don't need to use all of it but ensure to use some of it. All the best as you start out. |

Hello to everyone in the house. I've been a silent reader all the while just because I had to scroll through all the threads from Part 1 to the current thread. This is to avoid asking questions you gurus have taken time to address in the past.
I really appreciate you all. I heard about this CAN PR thing last year. I simulated my score at the time and it wasn't encouraging. And after I checked how much the POF for a family of four would be, coupled with the facts that age was really no more on my side and more so, I was yet to know of the existence of a goldmine in these threads, I gave up (that last year)!
Not quite long, my interest was rekindled by a friend (and his wife of course) who got PPR and advised I give it a serious try. I have been researching (on here) ever since. Eventhough I still think of/worry about the huge money involved now but have rather concluded I'll have to bid my time and take things a step after the other in this long, tasking and draining journey.
Thanks to the men and women in here who, out of their kind hearts/benevolence, have continually shown others the way forward. Quite a few monikers have stuck to memory in the course of my reading; Zandora, 40manlappy, Newmum, Joo, Cochtrane, Nobody, Ifeoma77, Stencil (always sounding like pencil), Workaholics Ladymarshall and Topsmamen, and so on... And yes, there's this moniker too, he helps in putting others through IELTS Writing (How on earth did I forget that 'name'?). Once corrected someone who was revelling on how he finally made IELTS (writing had been his weak point until after two attempts or so) but failed to acknowledge his (the trainer) input.
So many wonderful PPR scripts read so far, with mixed challenges/stories in the course of chasing them but of course, Deboks' was so hilarious. I can't forget that moniker in a hurry. Infact, I would sugget she should edit to Tiptoe_Deboks already! (I'm not forgetting how she had to dig deep to endure like the Abuja guy turned Lagos Taxifyer).
I'll say it's simply because of the hard works most of these people (mentioned above) have put in, both to the previous & current threads that I rather decided to read, read and read through all the threads to prevent myself from asking unnecessary (in fairness and in my opinion) questions. I suggest fellow newbies do the same. I managed to crawl into page 104 early this morning and thought I was up to date. I blinked afterwards and we're already in page 113! These pages move so fast at a baffling rate! Interestingly, most of the questions getting asked in the new pages are more often, repeated questions.
Permit me to say once again to the top gurus in this thread, you guys are jewels, priceless as such! What would we even do without you? |

Or maybe you guys didn't uncheck the left box (which indicates the receiving address of your ECA result copy is a Canadian one). The courier charge for this left part is way cheaper than the one on the right side (for an international destination which is suitable to us residing outside Canada). The total ECA fee should be at least 80k or thereabout. I still stand to be corrected by the gurus in the house though. Geetaybeks: It depends on the bank you are using. I think I was charged same |

Timeline ECA (with PEBC) October 2017 ITA: 5th September 2018 AOR: 29th September 2018 Med Passed: 29th, October 2018 ADR: ‘Schedule A’ form (spouse) Biometric request: 5th November Biometrics Completed: 7th November IP2: 23rd April PPR: 24th April, Dated 23rd April. IELTS: 1st Attempt (March 2016): L7.0, R 8.0, W 7.5, S 7.5 2nd Attempt: (Dec 2017): L7.5, R 7.0, S 7.5, W 7.5 3rd Attempt: (Jan 2018): L 7.0,R 8.5,W 7.5,S 7.5 4th Attempt: (May 2018): L 8.5, R 8.0, S 8.5, W 6.5(Requested for remark, but came back unchanged after 4 weeks) 5th Attempt August 18, 2018)(Abeokuta Center): L8.5, R9.0, S7.5,W7.0 All attempts were with the British Council. Hmm, the journey started actively in April 2017 when I decide to start my PEBC evaluation, although I got to know about express entry since 2014, courtesy of a friend who had started her evaluation in 2015 during our NYSC program, then I was more tuned to the idea of migrating to Australia since my older brother is a PR there, not knowing that my occupation was not even listed on their skill select list. After one or two failed attempts to migrate to Australia as a student, I decided to settle down to understand more about this Canadian Express entry stuff. To cut the long story short, I started my ECA in April 2017, and got my report on 24th of October 2017. It took me that long because I never knew about Nairaland this time until after our ITA. Lest I forget, I even had to make payment for my report separately because I didn’t know that I ought to have applied for both concurrently. Following the arrival of my ECA, I had thought that my first IELTS would be useful, not knowing that I needed 8777 to get an appreciable score. So I sat for the 2nd test, got that result(earlier stated), still score still didn’t push through, not until a night when I was playing with the CRS calculator that I got to know that having ≥8.0 in the listening band was the game changer . Immediately, I register for the 3rd test. A big thanks to my wife’s cousin who showed sincere interest in me and gifted us 64k out of the 68k for this particular attempt. I was left devastated when the result came out, still not anyway close. Did I Mention that I was running my master’s degree during this time, so it was close to our project defense, so I had to face this and chill for IELTS first. So, I decided to have some break. Fast forward to April 2018, my interest was again rekindled, so I register for the 4th attempt, though at a different test center (Ilorin). Before now, all the previous attempts were in Ibadan test center, but I later discovered that once I enter the exam hall, I partly lose my confidence. As beautiful as this result was, I was short changed by just ‘0.5’, so painful. Again I was really discouraged, but something in me said I should try it one more time. Thanks to my dear wife, this time she really encouraged me, because she later got to know that my mind was no longer in this country, and that failure to nail this exam was already telling on me. We quickly rushed to register for another exam in late July, this was less than 20 days to the test date. But I was so determined to pass this time around. I practiced, fasted, prayed, even gave just to make it this time. Well, just do whatever you believe in, but trusting God pays!!! Gbam! the result came out on the 31st of August 2018. We made it!!! I ran from the sitting room that night to the room to break the news to my wife, tbh, I almost fell down, but nothing like knowing fully well that the obstacle has been removed. Praise the Lord!!! We couldn’t sleep throughout that lovely night, we were just busy praising the Lord. In fact, we had to go for covenant hour of prayer that morning just to express our gratitude to God. Immediately, I updated our profile, we got ITA on 5th of September 2019. We were so elated, and we quickly plunged into action. Needless to say, I have been hearing about Nairaland, but the truth was that I never really understood how to use it until a friend explained to me, so our post ITA experience was very smooth courtesy of this great forum. Thanks guys! IELTS LEARNING POINT Never attempt the exam until your practice sessions on multiple occasions start making brain. For instance, you can comfortably score ≥35 in the listening test as occasion demands. Medicals We had our medicals at the Children’s’ Practice clinic. We gate crashed and we were lucky to have been attended to after all the booked appointments were taken care of. It wasn’t a stressful one. While we were waiting for our e-report form, we quickly breezed to Alagbon for our police certificate clearance. Thank God, one woman we met at Children practice told her driver to quickly take us there because I was not very good with navigation in Lagos. CRS Core We entered the pool with a CRS score of 451, it was later updated to 459 when my wife’s ECA came later in the month. I remembered I asked a question concerning this in part 5. POF Thanks to family and friends who came to our aid. Over 6.5 Million was raised within two weeks. My bother in Australia did a gift did of 2.5M for me. He wrote an affidavit and attached his Australian’s driver’s license. I used Stanbic IBTC mutual fund account, and my regular salary account. I intentionally used my salary account because my last place of work did not have an online presence, but there was a record of over 6 months of my salary payment directly from the company. Work References It was a walk in the park for me, let me say that never burn any bridges in your life journey. It was easy for me to go back to my previous bosses for my employment letters because of good relationship sustained over the time. Application was submitted on 29 Sept 2018. Then after medicals, and ADR were submitted and biometrics completed was followed a long period of silence. Sometimes I got frustrated, called CIC agents a couple of times, but they kept giving generic answers. I also raised multiple CSE’s with no positive response. The only vital information I ever got from the agent was our Visa processing office. Thank God, in January I took up a new job position. I desperately needed a good distraction, and it eventually paid off. Did I even mention that my wife was pregnant all along, and we were nursing the dream of having a ‘Canadian baby’ not knowing that IRCC had a different agenda? On April 3rd we had our bouncing baby girl. So, I informed IRCC immediately about the new family addition. The following day, I was asked to inform our visa processing office (Ottawa). So, I got a generic response as usual that it would take them 10 working days to respond to my request. On 23rd of April, I had a very long day, I had travelled to Ekiti from Ibadan, getting home, I discovered that my friend who I put up with in Akure was not in town, so , I made arrangement for a make-shift place. Throughout that day there was no sign of any single network on my phone (courtesy of glo with pride). Very early on the next day, I had gone out to look for network on my phone. Shortly, after I finished talking with my sister in-law who I am trying to assist with ECA evaluation. I just said let me check my mail for anything new. To my surprise, I saw a mail from Ottawa detailing the things I need to apply for my daughter’s application (they had mentioned ‘birth cert and passport). Honestly, I was really down seeing this, immediately I called my wife to tell her what response I just got from Ottawa. What pained me was that, I would need another 10 days to get any vital response from them again. About few minutes later, I just went to check my mail box to see that there was another mail from Ottawa. I went ahead to check it, behold, it was the ‘golden mail’. At first I didn’t know how it looked likes, so I still had to call my wife to tell her what I saw. Immediately she shouted that it’s what we had long been waiting for. I didn’t know how to express my joy, but I was really overjoyed. If they had ride a horse in my heart that day, it wouldn’t have stumbled. Oh let me thank my dear wife, after the birth of our baby, she gingered me that we should quickly run our baby’s birth cert, passport and medicals. Thanks so much dear! Due to the nature of my new jib, I wasn’t available, even though she just out to bed through ‘CS’ she still went through the rigors of running these things. Did I mention that she drove herself back to Ibadan all the way from Lagos after the medicals. Our case would turn out to be that of’ preparation meeting opportunity’ We didn’t know that our PPR was waiting for us the next day. With everything on ground, we just added our baby immediately, and in less than 24 hours, IRCC added her to our application. Lest I forget, I wasn’t asked to update our proof of fund, going by normal standard, we would have had to upadate with about 300k. We transmitted our passports on 29/04/2019, and just today I got the COPR. Thank you Jesus for finishing what you started. We won!!! To everyone still in wait for this, my prayer is that God will grant you the tenacity to stay strong even when the going get very tough and you will still win as well. Please let me add here that two are better than one because they have a better reward for their labor. It wasn’t smooth sailing for me until I got my wife on the same page with me. Couples please unite together to make this dream a reality for your family. God bless!!! A sincere appreciation goes to everyone who helped us in the course of this journey (My brother in Australia, my sister in-law in Lagos, hmm, I so much disturbed her with IELTS palaver, my dear wife, and to myself for not giving up. Lastly, pardon my plenty grammatical errors. It took me so long to put this up, but I feel indebted to this great forum that keeps changing lives. |

That Rivers politics ehn, na him be the apogee of political war. One state torn apart because of parties. It keeps getting worse! If I was Wike though, I wouldn't let the fact that I'm a PDP governor fuel this existing hate and tension between him and his opponents. I would forget the grudges of the past and sue for peace. I'm sorry for saying this, I was not born yet when Hitler was around but anytime I see Gov Nyesom on TV, nothing comes to mind but Adolf Hitler. His look depicts someone who is ever prepared for war! Someone should pls tell his excellency, the maximum one can spend as a governor in our country is 8years. And the fact that death lurks around us all means we can leave anytime! Posterity takes over and judges our deeds thereafter. Rivers belongs to him and ALL the people he governs. selch: Nigeria is in for political wars, The pdp are already full of thugs but the Apc?? That one? Join thugs, robbers and desperate men as most of their people decamp from other parties out of desperation not out of need to help d masses, d other parties are not innocent to, I think Edo was a bit peaceful because a pastor was involved, but ondo I'm not sure, be it 2016 or 2019 Apc would rig election, kill and do everything possible to stay in power, they would not let go of power so easily just as pdp did in its early years, no matter how clear things are bad, even buhari would contest 2019 and say d first four years he use to chase corruption, now give him 4 years to work on d economy, all na lies we know, but he would probably win cz of rigging. Now my advice is to ordinary citizens and youth, don't allow ur children or ur self be used for this evil men, be it ondo, kano or Nigeria don't kill ur self for greedy men as they all are, people shouting said baba! In d street 2015 are begging for a cup of garri today while his daughters dey fly everywhere enjoy their life. God bless them na their luck, but ondo people should embrace peaceful election and not listen to all the war drumming politicians like Amechi Nd wike |

I'm from Ondo State and Olusola Oke isn't my candidate. Nevertheless, I feel this is a concocted story someone is just employing against him. That doesn't mean these politicians don't have personal thugs capable of doing things like this but I'm well educated to know by the sense of things what to believe and what not to. It's just a shame that this is what rules the day in our political arena. Well, they say "politics is a dirty game". I bet his supporters are somewhere right now cooking up a story in retaliation, to soil his opponents as well... Even Donald Trump employed similar tactics vs HC and today he's a winner! |

Na wa o. Nigerians siddon on top family (brothers) matter dey argue, quarell, curse, swear (and what have u) here as if una go get bank alert. Funniest thing is, those brothers are probably at a rendezvous right now laughing at how Nigerians "carry their matter for head".. Enough is enough pls. Even if you guys must discuss, I dont see why people should be crying more than the bereaved and in the process, envenoming each other with hatred & curses. |
