RomanceRe: She Broke Up With Him Because Of ₦500 by Jaycee07: 4:44am On May 22
wildcatter23:
RELATIONSHIP IS NOT FOR THE WEAK🤦🤦

I went to a restaurant this evening to get food for my girlfriend.

After getting the food and just as I was about to leave, I saw two lovers arguing.

I asked the girl what the issue was, and she explained that they had also come to get food.

Their bill was supposed to be ₦8,300, but the waiter mistakenly charged them ₦7,800, which the guy paid.

As they were about to leave, she noticed the mistake and told her boyfriend to go back and pay the remaining balance, but he refused.

That disagreement eventually led to their breakup.

Is that enough to warrant a breakup?

What do you guys think?

Was the lady loyal to the guy?
In my opinion, both of them were wrong. I don’t take sides with evil. The gentleman ought to have paid the leftover, and in the event he didn’t have money on him, his girlfriend should have supported him to offset the balance. You need to demonstrate that you’re a person of integrity and honesty at all times. That’s a huge red flag in a potentially long lasting relationship. Not so many people would commit to a person of questionable character or flawed moral integrity.
For the lady, walking out on your man was quite disrespectful. She had a good case to make, but did so disrespectfully. She could have chosen to offset the balance with her money, and allow a good opportunity to address the issue at hand.
What I don’t know is whether there was a previous event of such nature that would have triggered her instantaneous reaction.
In any case, two grown adults acted like 4th grader. Pathetic.

If you look closely, it may not be about the man but more about what the man can give her. The child. He is a means to an end.

We all need each other by the way. Men get lonely, women may not be as lonely as men. Men cannot do without that thing down there, women can decide to go celibate anytime. It's left for men to know how to live and enjoy this life. I see why those men kept on marrying wives at different stages of their lives. The truth is as you age, you become a different person and wetin de shack you for your 20s no go shack you for 40s and so on. Men will then be dumped by these women. Today, people are saying that men should treat their children well so that when they are old, they too will be traveling upandan to visit their grand grandchildren. I call that nonsense. Why? Some men may have been bad as fathers but I don't like that over simplistic argument. Men are not wired to go live with someone else, even their own sons. Men have territories. Women are selfish in nature, they don't know when to stop and let the bird fly. They want to monitor the child till the child is old enough to say mama, please let me breathe. The grandchildren are also just an excuse. It's good to have family but I'm telling you how life is. Everyone is selfish. Men, plan well and marry more in your 60s to 70s, don't let them use and dump you. Men have to keep fending for themselves, the world only sees you as providers. The earlier you know this, the faster you learn how to provide for yourself while sacrificing for family.
You’ve made some salient points here. However, with regards to men not being able to control their sexual urges, that’s not entirely true. There are still disciplined men out there. But for the most parts of your write up, you’ve made lots of of sense.

Answer them.
Once you do, only then will I start tearing you apart with facts. And don’t run away—you already did before any discussion even started. Let’s discuss it.
I’m asking you plainly:
Why are Black people in America the poorest, the least educated, and have the highest crime rate?
Above them are Latin Americans, then whites, then Asians, who are also the wealthiest.
What do you have to say about that?
You clearly insulted me. Go back and read your your responses to my post.
Like I told earlier, I did a lot of research on this subject and I’ve asked you to read three books which clearly Underscores the hard effects of slavery on the black race in the United States and one of which is poverty and family seclusion thru a systemic imprisonment of the black males in the penitentiaries.
Not sure if you read those books bi asked you to.
The answers to your questions are right there.

Rank the races of people by wealth in the USA.

If you want a realistic picture without sugarcoating — in the United States there are statistics on wealth by racial groups, but these are not “rules for every individual,” just averages.

Ranking by average household wealth (roughly):

1. Asians (Asian Americans) – highest on average

2. Whites (White Americans)

3. Hispanic/Latino

4. Blacks (African Americans) – lowest on average

---

What this actually means (what people often ignore):

The differences are large, but they come from a combination of:

education

occupation (IT, medicine vs. low-paid jobs)

family inheritance (who inherited what)

historical factors in the U.S.

Within each group, there are huge differences:

there are poor whites and wealthy blacks

there are extremely wealthy Asians, but also those working minimum-wage jobs

---

The harsh reality:

If you’re looking at “ordinary people,” the key factors are:

occupation + discipline + environment

race by itself guarantees nothing

---

If you want, I can give you specific numbers (median household wealth in dollars) — that’s where the gap becomes even clearer.

Before I even begin, explain to me why you are the poorest in the U.S.
Of course, you are also the poorest in Europe. And if people start living there in larger numbers, you’ll be the poorest in Africa too.
We’ll talk about your racism later.
Go ahead.
Please read my write up and this time, read it carefully with an open mind.
Are you trying by any means to deny the fact that the black race has always received the shorter end of the stick?
And let me go by your analogy of wealth inequality and gap, don’t you realize that the race base system created by European Americans( Caucasian) has cheated the black race out of the equation?
How easy is it for a black man to be given a mortgage loan ?
No
Matter how hard you try to deny these facts, they are there

If you have a chance please read the following books and tell me the origin of those despicable lies and actions toward the black people:
1. The 1619 project by Nikole Hannah
2. The color of law by Richard Rosthein
3.The new Jim Crow.

The system was designed to punish black people not because they did anything deserving of it. Their only crime is just being black.

1.
2.

You’re being contradictory—one statement contradicts another.
Do I need to point out where you’re contradicting yourself, or can you see it yourself?
Sir,

The Europeans who emigrated to where we now called the United States villified the black race. And they did that for many centuries. Not sure if you’ve been to any slave route enclaves like Alabama/ Mississippi/Louisiana before, you’d realized how much effort the Caucasians had put in to demonize black people. Black men were tortured , hanged, black women raped and brutalized.
The stories are all there to read.
Can you point out the contradictions you noticed in my write up?Please do so respectfully without insults.

I have done some travelling in recent months and most especially I've interacted with black women from my extended family and from my remote work who live in different foreign countries, and we all feel the same on the issue

Why is it hard for a black woman to find partners from other races? Why is it that when a white guy wants to date outside of his race, he would rather date an Asian lady or an Indian lady or a Latina.

We black women are equally as beautiful too. We even have better bodies than these other women yet these men would rather date women with flat buttocks and small breasts

Some of my friends are very intelligent and very educated. They speak well and are well mannered. I really struggle to see why they don't can't asked out by foreign men
Dating and marriage is entirely preferential. And what determines the preferences vary from places to places. Here in the United States, majority of marriage choices are race based. The vast majority of native born African American would rather prefer to stay single than marry white male. And the same applies to white male.

African born women in the diaspora tend to worship white male. Even the highly educated and successful black African born women in the diaspora are not attracted to white male due to sometimes preconceived notion about the black race ( Lies that have been fed to the white race for centuries)
Now let me shift my attention specifically to Nigerian born women who emigrated to the western nations. There’s a strong cultural and ideological difference between White men and Nigerian women. In Nigeria, women are literally worshipped and deeply cared for by their male counterparts and these women travelled out of Nigeria with that mentality believing that it is the norm everywhere else only to be met with a rude awakening that life is completely different here in the west.
Bills are shared, chores are shared and everyone contributes to the success of the union both financially and emotionally. Now it becomes a psychological burden on them to adjust to the new normal and in an attempt to showcase the entitlement mentality, they are booted of if the relationship.
While grappling with these new realities, they begin the search and conquer process and before you realize it, the same cycle repeat itself again and again.
In Western Europe, it’s no different.
Nigerian men are now wiser. They now realize that they are actually the prize and not the women as they were made to believe.

What are you talking about? Say what you know.

If you add overtime an RN in America can make up to that especially if he or she is an Anaesthetic Nurse, but tax will take a very large chunk of the money except the person have plenty dependent children and maybe spouse which would reduce his or her annual tax. Some Anaesthetic Nurse in the US make close to $450k per annum.

Anesthetic nurses make decent money. But if you had followed the original question asked on the thread, it wasn’t specify what type of nurse. BSN/RN average salary yearly would be between 90-120K. For traveling nurses, they might make up to 150-180K depending on on the state and the type of contract they have.
Specialized field like anaesthetic or ICU/trauma nurses will make sometime above 300K a year in states like Washington, Massachusetts, New York etc.

As for Doctors, that's another discussion all together, they are well paid.

The only developed country that don't pay Nurses and Doctors well is UK compared to other developed countries

I’d be glad if the naira improves. For a genuine rebound to happen, there has to be:
1.Boost to domestic production ( less reliance on imported products)
2.Attract foreign portfolio investment.
3.Enhance Security
4.Provide tax break and low- interest loan for local businesses
5.Tightening monetary policies to curb inflation.

Can you be honest that any of this is currently being effectuated?

Now that Mr Tinubu has applied his own original policies and steadied the economy to global acclaim, Mr Obi has gone quiet on his Argentina advice.
How has President Tinubu steadied the economy?
You probably may have noticed some improvement in the value of Naira. Well, news flash: The greenback value has dipped 11% percentage.
The primary causes for the weakness were multiple interest rate cuts by the Federal Reserve and economic uncertainty surrounding tariff policies.
Just get that Straight. Naira hasn’t improved. Rather it’s the dollar value that has declined against international currencies.
I hope this helps. And I want Tinubu’s administration to succeed. His success means Nigeria’s success.
Having said that, we need to be factual and honest in our appraisal.

RomanceRe: Only Virgins Deserve Bride Price - Reno Omokri by Jaycee07: 1:18pm On Aug 03, 2025
GafarAjibola:
Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has declared that only virgins should be considered brides, arguing that any money demanded for a non-virgin under the guise of bride price amounts to extortion.

Omokri made this known on Sunday, in a lengthy post shared via his official X handle.

According to him, many Africans have misunderstood and misapplied the concepts of dowry and bride price, insisting that they are not interchangeable and have different origins and meanings.

“There is a huge difference between a dowry and a bride price.

“However, in this part of the world (Sub-Saharan Africa), we often use the terms interchangeably — but they are not the same.

“A dowry is the money and property given to a female child on her wedding day by her parents, which she takes to her husband’s home. It becomes the joint property of both the husband and the wife.

“Dowry is practised in parts of Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. This practice aligns with the Biblical injunction that a wife is a helper to her husband, not a burden — Genesis 2:18”, his post partly read.

He contrasted this with the practice of bride price, which he said is rooted in both African culture and Jewish law, and historically applies only to virgins.

“A bride price, on the other hand, is different. In African culture, as well as in Jewish tradition and law, a bride price is the money or property given by a man to the family of a virgin woman to marry her. This is backed by Exodus 22:17, which states: ‘If her father absolutely refuses to give her to him, he must still pay the bride-price for virgins.’ Similarly, among the Lukumi Yoruba, if the bride’s virginity is not confirmed on the white cloth (aso funfun) after the marriage is consummated, the marriage is not considered valid, and the bride price is returned,” he continued.

He condemned the monetisation of marriage rites, especially in cases where the woman in question is no longer a virgin, stating, “The excessive demand for money and property by some Sub-Saharan African ethnicities for a woman who is not a virgin is neither legally nor technically a bride price — it is extortion.”

Omokri, known for his deeply religious worldview, went further to claim that in biblicaly, the term “bride” is reserved only for virgins — citing multiple biblical references to back his claim.

“Scripturally, the term ‘bride’ is never used for a woman who is not a virgin. For example, Isaiah 62:5 says: ‘For as a young man marries a virgin, so your sons shall marry you; and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so your God will rejoice over you.’

“Also, Jeremiah 2:32 reads: ‘Can a virgin forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire?’ These verses show that bridehood is synonymous with virginity. Song of Solomon 4:12 is even more explicit: ‘A locked up garden is my sister, my bride; a locked up spring, a sealed fountain'”, he clarified.

The former aide also drew a comparison from biblical figures, asserting that paying a bride price for non-virgins is unscriptural.

He argued, “By African tradition and Scriptural law, a man may marry a woman who is not a virgin — but such a woman is not a bride, and no bride price should be paid for her. For instance, 1 Samuel 18:20-27 records that David paid a bride price for King Saul’s daughter, Michal. However, he did not pay any bride price for Abigail, as seen in 1 Samuel 25:40-42.”

He warned that if African societies do not return to what he described as traditional and scriptural norms, they would continue to suffer the consequences of moral decay.

“If we in Africa do not return to these time-honoured traditions and continue the moral decline in our society — where sex and sensuality are left unchecked — we will remain at the bottom rung of global development, plagued by high rates of sexually transmitted diseases and broken homes”, Omokri added.

Concluding his post, Omokri rejected the white wedding tradition as un-African, claiming that even its original European form has been misrepresented in Africa.

He said, “Lastly, the White wedding is not African culture, and it is not a Christian wedding. It is a European traditional wedding. If we must adopt that tradition, then we should follow it accurately. In Europe, where the custom originates, it is not the groom or his family that pays for the wedding. It is traditionally the bride’s father who foots the bill. Industrial Money Obtainers, I hope you have heard?”

Foreign AffairsRe: Trump Calls Tariffs "Economic Revolution", Says China The Most Hit Country. by Jaycee07: 6:44pm On Apr 05, 2025
cathodekazim:
This post from Donald Trump reflects an alarming level of hypocrisy, naivety, and a lack of understanding of the broader economic realities. First, the very claim that China has "treated us unsustainably badly" ignores the fundamental fact that trade relationships are reciprocal. If America has been taken advantage of, it's because of decades of bad policy choices that were made under his watch and by his predecessors—many of whom were his allies. Rather than acknowledge the mistakes of past administrations, Trump has chosen to scapegoat others and deflect attention from his own failings.

Moreover, his assertion that America is somehow "bringing back jobs and businesses like never before" rings hollow. In reality, the jobs he's referring to often come with low wages, unstable benefits, or are part of industries that are fundamentally unsustainable. The illusion of job creation ignores the reality of automation and globalization, forces that no amount of rhetoric can undo. The promise of "more than five trillion dollars of investment" is another hollow boast, as such figures often fail to address the underlying issues of income inequality and the deepening wealth gap that his policies have exacerbated.

Trump's rhetoric also ignores a critical point: the policies that hurt other countries will eventually rebound on America. The imposition of tariffs and trade wars, meant to "bring back jobs," often results in higher costs for consumers and undermines the very businesses he claims to support. If we continue down this path, the fallout will be a trade war that damages American workers more than it helps them—an irony that's lost on his supporters, who continue to cheer on policies that ultimately hurt their own economic stability.

The hypocrisy of those supporting Trump is just as glaring. They cheer on a president who touts his "economic revolution" while actively undermining the social safety net and reducing funding for the very public services that would help ordinary Americans weather these economic challenges. They blindly follow a leader who engages in crony capitalism, enriching himself and his allies, while leaving the vast majority of Americans struggling.

Rather than "making America great again," we are heading toward a future of increased division, weakened global standing, and an economy that benefits the rich at the expense of the working class. Trump’s promises are nothing more than empty slogans, and the reality of his policies will be a historic failure for America—one that his supporters will eventually have to confront.
Spot on!!!
Awesome analysis. Trump’s gloating about multi trillion dollars investment coming to the United States due to his tariffs is just a wild goose chase. All of that imaginary wealth only resides in his own little world. He tends to forget also that United States has also taken advantages of other G7 nations thru other crooked means such as inflated taxes in advanced military weapons sales ( hardwares/ softwares/intels).
I’m waiting to see how GOP will survive 2026 midterm elections. The rebuke from the electorates will be so loud that it will take years for them to recover. Those swing district representative members will be the scapegoat.

Xisnin:
NATO is already dead, at least US is no longer part of it.
It remains only a concept on paper and Putin knows that too.

If a war breaks out between Europe and Russia today, Trump will sell weapons to Russia
and call it a business move.

But Putin needs at least 4 years to rebuild for a new war that is definitely happen going to happen.

The only reason Trump cannot come out to officially withdraw from NATO is that he wants to use
it to blackmail Europe to accept Ukraine deal and the potential shrinkage of US defense
industry should NATO end because only an idiot will rely on the unstable Trump for its own defense.

At this point, the only difference between Putin and Trump is that Putin has 100% control over
both domestic and foreign Russia affair while Trump only have the external one.

Trump may think he is making money for the US but America will pay heavily in the near future
as it gradually lose all the advantages it got from WW II.

The clear winner in this game is China.

Trump my guy. Always hitting truth directly from the front without considering emotions of people
What truth exactly, if I may ask? By lying that Ukraine was the aggressor??
How can Donald Trump and Vlad Putin talk about peace when Ukraine is absent?? What kind of fuckery is that?
I’m glad his staunch republicans allies are breaking with him on this. And there’s more to come. Two big criminals striking a deal over a sovereign state , with no leader of that sovereign state present on the peace table.
