post=106980796:Oga I am not a child of hate or perdition. There was a terrorist attack on the railway and train. The terrorists are the real children of hate and perdition, and not an innocent nairalander who may be innocent in offering criticism or commendations Hon Amaechi said the govt will deploy digital security sensors…….hahahahahah very funny. Will the signals from these sensors be relayed to dss, police or military formations? Even if they were how will that prevent the attack ? You bunch are all jokers. |
Jaycee07: Jaycee07: treesun:I beg to differ Sir.Any nation that fails to shore up its foreign exchange through sustainable input like manufacturing, agro-export and other science and tech driven entities can only expect to see what we are currently witnessing. The dwindling gains of FOREX in Nigeria is very deserving. And let's face it, the true value of naira should be between 800 to 1000 naira /dollar if the CBN allows market forces and demand and supply to take its course. What do we produce? We are a consuming nation. This economic whirlwind that's blowing was caused. It could have been averted and I dare say that it can still be averted. A nation that sits on top of wealth, but can not harness it. While I was Nigeria, I worked as a controls engineer in deep offshore facilities for different multinational oil companies. You need to see how natural gas is burnt off to the atmosphere, and yet the government complains of its inability to generate sufficient electrical power to run factories, businesses and homes. A nation that produces one of the best grade of crude oil, but can't refine a barrel of it and still relying on a low grade, sulfur-prone substandard refined products . Please cut that. Over the years, successive government have failed to harness the gains made from crude oil export to diversify the economy.Buhari is no different. Stop blaming AbokiFx. And You and I have have been beneficiaries of their magnanimity.Does AbokiFx mint dollar? Have you ever asked yourself the cost of running the different arms of government in Nigeria. Nigeria is a very poor nation.Yes we are.Our natural, economic and human resources amounts to nothing when they are put to good use. |
Impressive academic path. Unfortunately, he has no industry experience. He knows everything on paper.Typical Nigerian professor! |
Totilopussylick:Hon Fakeye, It's a pity that you are actually representing a constituency. I feel very terrible reading this trash from the so called hon member. What exactly are you trying to say? That these artisans don't pay taxes? The carpenter, okada, keke, taxi riders pay indirect taxes by way of city and union taxes. Are you aware of that? And by the way how much do you Mr. Fakeye pay in taxes? The last time I check it was only your basic salary that was taxed, which amount to nothing. You're trying to seek relevance from you dumb, gullible followers and party member. Your grammar sucks too!! |
Gang, To be completely understood, penetration testing has nothing to do with sexually penetrating a woman. A penetration test, colloquially known as a pen test or ethical hacking, is an authorized simulated cyberattack on a computer system, performed to evaluate the security of the system; this is not to be confused with a vulnerability assessment How profitable is this skill set in the IT market? Here in the United States A pen test analyst earn between 70KUSD to 170KUSD annually. You can google udemy.com, coursera.com These are places where great resources can be gotten to learn these skill set. I hope this helps quote author=Terrence99 post=106596450]Penetration testing is very rewarding especially when you have a subject willing to experience Penetration.[/quote] |
computer0810:I am an Alumnus[SEET EE/96] of FUTO. It's a shame and an embarrassment to the entire academic world that a man who hasn't taught, supervised any PG student on any project whatsoever has to be awarded a professorship. A University as reputable as FUTO or at least I had thought so shouldn't be reduced to crumb-begging environment. The VC and all academic leadership of the university should as a matter of urgency withdraw the said award and apologize to the entire Alumni community. This is very embarrassing. |
GEEBITE:Every time I remember that Mr. Malami is a SAN, I weep. How on earth did he get it? Did you listen to his English? |
Abdul05:Really? Nothing concern you? Hmmmmm. It's very pathetic to have people like you in this forum. I am almost certain that if you are privileged to be an elected national leader, with your sectional and nepotistic remarks as seen here, you'd be worse than Buhari. So you find nothing wrong in a Naval base being built in Kano, which is as good as a desert. The revenue that will be used to build the naval base is for the most part revenue accrued from the sales of Crude oil from Niger Delta. And yet it doesn't bother you. |
Tissaia:Your story is stale and completely unrelated. I don't know what part of Nigeria you come from, but the last time I checked, Rivers is a core Niger delta State. Neither Gov Wike, nor Riverians, approve of IPOB. Be guided with your incoherent utterances. |
NoFucksToGive:Exactly my thoughts. There are very viable places in Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Delta, Cross Riversand even Rivers(Not mentioning Onne-FLTand FOT) that deep sea port, haulage port and other commercial ports can be constructed and utilized. I don't have any issue with Lagos or Lagosians, but why the hassles? And Lest I forget, we have two existing ports in Delta(Warri) and Cross River(Calabar). Why can't FG revamp those ports and make them usable? This is no rocket science. This will lead not only to decongestion, but timely distribution of commodities to importers. And don't forget, that most of those importers are igbos. Nigerian politicians are lame ducks. All of them. |
InTheCloudySky:Re Old age: This is very true. Older folks(seniors) are well treated here in the United States. These are individuals that have spent their productive years working and remitting to uncle sam(IRS) I totally agree that seniors are badly treated in Africa. I also agree that the notion that kids abandon their older parents for the most part are untrue. In conclusion, there's no perfect place in the world at this time. But sometimes, when i read stories of killings in Nigeria, my heart skips. The other day I read a story of a very successful business man who lived in Atlanta, Georgia-US, visited his home town in Edo state, only to be kidnapped and killed. The social safety net in western nations(GDP, Per Capita,Gross national income, purchasing power parity) etc are way better. The stress and madness in Nigeria is mind-boggling especially with Buhari and his goons at the helm. In the final analysis, if you have a decent job and try to stay focused with little or no distractions, Western country is the best bet. Racism has always been there, and will always be there. There's no guarantee that you wont be racially/tribally/economically profiled when you return back to Africa.Make as much savings as you can. Build a business, add passive incomes to your earnings , get a good college education that appeals to top industry employer. Save, Save and and i repeat Save. With your 401K, social security and what ever savings you had, you should be able to retire early and have a prosperous future for the rest of your life. one last thing: Naira is dwindling so terribly. Don't forget that there's a systemic failure in Nigeria, and until that is fixed, Nigeria remains a failed state. |
Buckeyemedia1:Sir, I beg to differ. This has nothing to do with Mr. Buhari. The fact that existential tax laws were either misunderstood and wrongly interpreted has absolutely nothing to do with Buhari. Are you inferring that because Buhari is president, we should ignore what the constitution says? The constitution isn’t perfect. When Buhari, like any other Nigerian president is a public servant. He’ll leave by 2023. He won’t take the constitution along with him. If the proceeds from VAT are misappropriated by the state government, there are agencies saddled with the responsibility of prosecuting such misappropriation. Thus for now , let the constitution reign, until it’s interpreted otherwise by a competent court of jurisdiction. |
Madam The sad truth is that we haven’t heard from your husband. My wife once asked me what will happen if she goes out to cheat with another man. I simply told her that what happens to cheat will happen to her. I burst my ass in America providing all the basic comforts of life for her, her family and our twin boys, and all that she cares about is how to cheat. Whether she’s been cheating or not is a different story. Could it also be that your hubby is physical exhausted while trying to cater for life’s necessities? Seek to comfort him and assure him that he’s loved. That might be all you need to win him over. |
I live and work in the United States(Texas) to be specific. This country is endowed with abundant natural, economic and human resources. Every State has something to beckon on. Never has it been heard that the Feds under any guise or form muzzle states to balk or accede to the demands of the executive arm of government at the center. Every State manages its resources and pay a certain percentage to the central (Fed govt). Texas for instance has large hydrocarbon reserves. The federal government does not coerce or pressure such state to go against the dictate of the constitution. By nature every state must not be as wealthy as the other. But there are always things each of the State can fall back on. Let every State develop whatever resource it has. Being a governor is all about leadership. This arrangement in the longest term will allow the subject to chose their leaders base on merit and experience, not religious, ethnic or political leanings. This VAT issue will truly expose the types of leaders we have as governors. The North governors and some southern are very backward and lazy. This has to stop now. As a detribalized Nigerian , I truly laud govs Wike and Sanwo-Olu. They are the true champions of true and Fiscal federalism. The North must sit up and understand that repression and terrorism will only lead them to self - destruction. Any governor who can not think outside the box has no business being there. The merry days are almost over. They all must work and show proof of competency. |
Hahahahahahahaha...........Very funny. Saudi Arabia cuts oil production to help Nigeria.....Hmmmmm. Well It is either Mr. Buhari or his handlers are so daft and ill-informed to understand the dynamics of world oil production acreage and cuts. Saudi and Russia are world oil major. Nigeria used to be the sixth. I can't understand how OPEC agreement to cutting oil production is done to favor or help Nigeria. Buhari my man.Olodo |
The constitution saddles the responsibility of interpreting the laws with the third arm of the government, the judiciary. Is FIRS now the arbiter of the law? Are they claiming to be more knowledgeable than a federal judge? The level of stupidity and idiocy sometimes exhibited by certain elements in this administration is to say the least unfathomable |
What extant laws is Wujuola referring to? The extant laws made by FIRS or the ones in the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria? Such a wack, dumb and intellectually daft reasoning. Nigeria is gone to the dogs. It has never been this bad |
Your argument defies basic economic logic. Regardless of where the final consumer lives, once a good or service is paid for, VAT Payment should automatically go to the state where that transaction was made. That explains why you have FIRS offices nationwide. And for the records, yes Lagos state generates the most tax in Nigeria followed by Rivers State. Kano would have joined that rank, but for their religious hypocrisy. My point is VAT paid at the point of purchase should naturally be credited to the state account regardless of who the end user is. If the end user feels aggrieved, let him stay back and purchase such good and service in his state location and pay same VAT to his state |

Am not sure why the past and present leaders are inept and lack foresight and methodology when it comes to planning and conservation. The last time to checked , the upper Benin and Agbada geologic formation have more natural gas than crude oil. How difficult is it to harness this resource and preserve it fot equitable and adequate use? Our leaders are indeed wicked and unruly. I’ve completely lost faith in Nigeria. |
Nice one Mimi. |
