Thank you so much for your response and I have noted what you said but I didn't mean that I am learning all 5 at the same time oo...lol...I just wrote down the list of things I planned to learn... I'm currently trying to improve my typing speed...

Also, I'm looking for free courses ..the ones I see on udemy and coursera are paid ones, incase you have some free courses that you can point to me ...thank you so much

I don't know any free ones at the moment. The person I know who posts free Udemy courses is @omoalhajaabiola on X (formerly Twitter). He also has a large community on Telegram where they discuss this stuff.

If you're not big on getting certificates, you can check out Simplilearn on YouTube. They offer free in-depth tutorials on many courses. I know they have the Excel course.

You can check out YouTube for other courses too. They're free there.

I recently stumbled upon this thread and I read through and also the threads you quoted too...I have decided to do for virtual administrative assistant and I saw it somewhere that, that is what you started with aside the food blogging stuff....

So I have started my research about how the get started and I have put together the following steps according to youtube:
1) Learning how to type fast (currently learning that on youtube even though nepa dey disappoint me)
2) Learning the basics of microsoft, how to create basic presentation using powerpoint, how to make a link to the powerpoint presentation, etc
3) learn excel
4) Email etiquette
5) How to book travels......and so on

Please I would like to know if I am on the right path and please help me by adding few things you think I should learn to, like a guide or steps e.g the courses I can take or videos I should watch on youtube....I would so much appreciate that .... please just put the reply out here so others can learn too ..

Good job on all you're working on. I'm not a VA expert, but as someone who has had to learn many things over the years, I'd say it's better to reduce your learning to one or two topics at a time. At most, three. Five seems quite a mouthful.

But yeah, all these skills you highlighted would help you on your journey to becoming a virtual assistant. You can also learn to be more organized and use productivity/organizational tools like Notion and Asana/Trello.

Open a Geegpay account and create a virtual card.
Fund the card and use it to pay for not only Upwork connects but almost anything online.
It's what I'm using and their service is swift and reliable.

Geegpay has been playing ping pong with me for a while since I wanted to create a card and I think their card creation service was down for a while

It baffles me that someone you call your wife, you can't reply "I love you" back....
Ordinary picking the phone call sef, your response should have been a sweet romantic word aside from the normal "hello"..

If it's not something they usually say in their relationship, it's going to sound suspicious coming out of the blue.

And "I love you too" is not the only response that can come out of it. Yes, a smart guy would use it to tease her. I might respond with, "Of course, you love me. I'm a spec", or something along those lines

It doesn't mean that I don't love her. In fact if I'm married to you, you can damn well be sure that I do love you, else you won't be living in my house, under my roof, bearing my name, eating my food, and getting pleasured on a steady.

Besides, 10K is too small to get pissed at your husband. Are they that broke? Like, seriously. I'll wire her the 10K and tell her to get the heck off my phone and allow me concentrate on my work.

If and when I'm ready to declare my love to my wife in both words and in deed, it wouldn't be because some cheesy radio station coerced me to.
