![]() 140K as a student in 300L. Money made as a freelancer. Was in class and I just saw alert, I smiled. Used the money to get a gen and flex a bit. Never looked back since. |
1. They have money or the potential to earn high. If you no hold better bar, just dey your lane because their money can be oppressive. Check your ego well and your bank balance; if one is dependent on the other... Hm. 2. Time/attention? Always in front of their laptop, or busy with a task or the other 3. Very smart and cerebral. Know your onus before you talk to them. You should be at their level mentally or slightly higher. If not, they'll run circles around you and would soon lose respect for you. 4. They could act nearly like tomboys at times because they live in a men-dominated world. They'll have lots of male friends so if you're the jealous type, just stay away. 5. They can be stubborn. You don't make it a a tech sis by being a "softie". Not necessarily. So as a guy, you should know how to sweet-talk, and know when and how to demand respect, quickly and correctly. Your communication skills must be top-notch 6. They could be surprisingly shy sometimes and difficult to talk to. Because they spend more time communicating with computers than humans. No look their face. Toast them. They're interested. On the flip side... dating them could be fun. Them no dey dull at all. Once you get them to relax and be themselves around you, you can actually have witty banters, meaningful conversations with them. They'll challenge your viewpoints and make you think laterally. That time could be a challenge though. If you don't mistakenly meet them at social functions or their tech circles, you likely won't meet them at all. They could be couch potatoes They could be surprisingly easy to bed, sometimes. A lot of them are sapiosexual, so if you know book or are well-read, you're already halfway into their pants. Also, the few I know are amazing cooks. I don't know where they got it from but if they mistakenly cook for you, you'll fall in love straight. ✌️ My two cents. |
It's heartbreaking to note that while Affleck's relationships have been topsy-turvy, his childhood best friend and co superstar, Matt Damon (actor of Bourne series), has been married for nineteen years, and has never had his family life in the spotlight for either good or bad reasons. They're both uber wealthy with a similar net worth, but Matt edges him a bit. So — happily married, peaceful life, and richer — wonder how two very good friends could have such starkly different results in relationships. Sure, marriage is overrated — especially Hollywood marriages in the spotlight like this — but if you get it right, omo, let's not lie, marriage sweet die. ![]() I have more advice, but make I marry fess. |
Lonestar124: ![]() Love dey make people mumu o. I've been in love before. But— this one isn't even about being in love. Nigga has lost his self-respect. Like. Totally lost it. |
At the risk of stating the obvious: 1. She's done with you 2. You deserve someone better 3. You need to respect your relationship and keep things clean with other ladies Nigga, dem no tie your placenta to this woman. There's over three billion women in this world. 3,000,000,000!!! Chances are, you'll find one that respects you if you can wipe your tears and remove your eyes from this one. |
She called your family, friends, colleagues... you'll never be able to win back the trust you lost. Even if you do, it won't be at the same level. One very big issue staring you in the face is the long distance relationship you're having with your lawfully wedded wife. Either quit the job and find one closer to home, or arrange for your wife to live with you in the new location permanently, or for as long as the job requires. Newlywed couple, y'all need to be spending as much time together as possible. If your wife was around, you wouldn't have fallen into that trap. Make the move and make arrangements to always be together with your wife, show her your actions and she'll see you're serious about avoiding future temptations. It won't be easy, but it's a first step. If you're going to step out on your wife, at least do it with someone decent. I'm not condoning adultery, but nigga, if you missed the red flags in this your new side piece, then juggling multiple women is not for you because they'll probably both connive to kill you. You're better off remaining faithful to the Mrs. "You got high"... Lol. Bro, is this the example you want to set for your kids? I don't know what got you high but as you can see, it probably doesn't have good effects, so maybe you should FVCKING GET RID OF THAT? I dunno. You'll need to do a lot of begging. And the people who could have helped you might already be disappointed, so you may have to do most of the shii on your own. If you want her back, be ready to crawl. There'll probably be lots of gifts, long talks, missed calls, and spending involved Oh, and if she decides to revenge by cheating on you (who knows maybe you missed that red flag in your wife too), then don't complain because you set the ball rolling yourself. Look for a male figure in her life she respects (pastor or something) and get them to set a meeting where you both talk. If you want more couple's therapy, hmu. If, against all odds, you're able to fix this, then keep your pants zipped, keep constant communication with your wife regardless of distance (you should make time to have at least thirty minutes to an hour of flirty, dirty conversation with your wife every day if you're separated by distance. This should keep the sexual spark in your marriage going), take steps to rid your mindset of cheating, and set up time to go for therapy with her to rebuild that trust you just casually threw away. |
He has been kidnapped before. You see him eating outside, you don't know the kind of security that's surrounding him. They just keep out of sight. Even in his office building, you don't enter with your phones, and if you're going to see the big boss, you'll be searched several times. He relates with the common folk, but it doesn't mean he's an easy target. |
A strange sight: A Nikon camera and a wheelchair; an ageing senior and a vibrant young woman. But none of that crosses my mind as I wheel my mother up the ramp into the hospital's premises. I was mama's last-born, the 'mistake' who came when she was approaching middle age. My older siblings are too busy to care, but I'll never leave mama alone; just as I would never leave behind my camera. It seems a lifetime ago I wrote my final papers and stepped into the world, full of hope and hungry for opportunities. But life had other plans – mama fell sick, and I had to put it all on hold. I know my circumstances are less than ideal, but my camera is that lifeline that keeps me from drowning in depression. I pause by the nurses’ station to inquire about whether the doctor’s in. “Hey, darling, you’re blocking the bin,” I hear a voice say behind me. This is followed closely by: “Are you okay?” I sigh and mutter, but I move out of the way. “Yes, I’m fine.” A few seconds tick by. “I can’t help but notice you have a Nikon hanging from your neck.” Irritated, I turn around to give the intruder a piece of my mind, but I stop dead in my tracks. “Isabel Williams??” A smile breaks across her face. “Wow. I never thought anyone would recognize me here.” “B-but, h-how… what is—?” The words are coming out of my mouth faster than I can think of them. “Ssh.” She places a scented Daffodil Dream finger on my lips, stemming the words. Reading the desire in my eyes, she pulls out a pen and signs my camera with a flourish. To my surprise, she tilts up my face to look into her eyes. “Chin up, girl. I know you’ll pull through this.” She whips out a business card, “But if you need me, you can always find me here. You be good now.” Then she floats out through the doors like the mist on a cold harmattan morning. https://twitter.com/_johnalabi/status/1763131505193197972?t=hWNN9M1wjbMnBYl2qtlY1w&s=19 |
qtguru:Mad OT. Thanks, man. |
![]() It's been a minute on this great platform. Got messaged by a client. He has an Upwork history and a 100% hire rate. To do the job, he was asking for my email to send me some documents. I told him Upwork prohibits communication outside Upwork. He didn't reply again, and when I checked again, he'd cancelled the job. I dey reason message the guy again, but it's risky. MY QUESTION: If one were to take a risk and share their emails on Upwork, is there anything that can be done to make sure the bots don't get you? Cos it seems Upwork has revamped their bots in recent times. Like on Fiverr, they put spacing between the email address I want to see if I can tease the client back if I give him the email. |

Zhirinovsky:Share screenshots of your last three proposals and the jobs you applied for. That should better help with what you need to change. Share the link to your profile too. |
Kemdi04:IMO, there's no niche that's saturated. You just have to learn positioning. If you're looking for a niche, it should be, ideally, something that already has a foundation in one of your core skill sets. I could learn programming and data analysis. But I always had an insatiable thirst for reading and I wrote my first novel before I graduated from secondary school. So niches like content writing, copywriting and ghostwriting come naturally to me. If you're already familiar with VA, then go for it. You should instead, focus on selling yourself properly in your proposals when you apply for jobs. That said, you can still learn any skill you want and get paid for it. If you want an idea of what might be valuable for you, spend a few hours going through your job feed and observe the common types of jobs being posted. That would give you an idea of what's in demand. And for the record, working from home gets tedious too. For the first six months or even longer, you may be putting in more than that 7 - 7 you've been working as a corporate employee. But the more money you make, the better the compensation is, and then you can create systems, automate a few stuff, and hire people to take some of the load off. Good luck! |
OfficialDJ:This is interesting. I'd need to think more about this. |
OfficialDJ:Alright, cool. So I've attached the job post and the proposal.
|
OfficialDJ:Wow. I see what you mean by "adrenaline-pumped" theme. You said you wrote a best-selling book. Did you really? LIke if it was ghostwritten, were you able to know where and when it was published and the title under which it was published? I've written several books for clients but I never know what happens after I get paid. |
uchemac2: ![]() Omo. I asked my question and the bots removed it and banned me for 4 days. I don't think they liked my question. What to do? |
OfficialDJ: ![]() Just for ten minutes. You can take it down after that. I no dey carry shoulder. I came to learn Don't mind the nigga talking like he's the one that sent you work. |
OfficialDJ:Ah. We didn't see the proposal, boss. Can you kindly repost? Abeg |
Hey, man. What's the best way to reach you? I've got some inquiries about this stuff you posted |
TheHopefulMan: ![]() I like how you make your argument |
buchivik:Nah. You cannot send to another Payoneer account until you have received up to $1,000 on your Payoneer account |
ahmedsaniadamu:Lol. You need to change your mindset otherwise you may find it difficult to get jobs. You wanna get better jobs on Upwork? Then here's what to do: >> Get better at your skill. It's the easy jobs everyone rushes for. The ones that are advanced, you'll see everyone avoiding it. >> Master your proposal writing. If you're sure you know how to write really convincing proposals, the next thing to do is to know how to write them fast. Practice your speed before you use your connects. Since I started Upwork, I've sent more than 350 proposals and landed 10 clients with about 25 interviews if I'm not mistaken. Eventually, it becomes easier. |
emmychib:The current withdrawal rate to banks directly is really low. Payoneer should be your best option for now.
|
jorghor:This your question no clear. What do you mean, "in sales"? Sales is a very, very wide industry with many sub-niches. Besides, there's no niche that's saturated. You just have to be good enough and clients would be rushing you for niches people claim to be "saturated". If you're going into Upwork, you want to be given a chance to prove that you're worth it. And to do that, you need a good profile and good proposal writing skills. And a convincing portfolio, of course. |
Sagiojimmy:Looks dope. Nice headline. Nice picture. Your bio also seems optimized for SEO. But where are your portfolio items? Then, I don't know if you'll like to do the stress but if you can, then I'd advice you to rewrite your bio. How? Rewrite it in terms of what the client wants. Your bio uses the word, "I" and "my" a lot which is expected since you're talking about yourself. But as a pro, you wanna sell the clients, okay? Everyone is selfish. Your clients only wanna know how you can help them. So talk about your skills in terms of what the client stands to benefit. For instance, I got this from your overview: My main aim is to be time accurate in completing your project to perfect standard It could be rewritten as: My aim is to design a website that your customers would love and increase your conversion rate. See how I use "your" more than "I" in this simple sentence? Finally, do a short one minute video of yourself summarising what you wrote in that bio. You don't have to be a professional videographer or anything. Just a simple video would be nice. Lol. It's funny that no one is doing it and if you have a video, it would instantly stand you out. It's a good opportunity to show a nice personality so your clients are more drawn to you. #mytwocents |
Dollywood:I've done several tests on different jobs and some of them led to being hired. Some were even paid tests. I don't think all tests are bad, and it also helps you build your portfolio if you have not done that specific task before. |
Dollywood:What kind of test was it? |
