@Dayokanu: I don't claim that there's a Muslim majority in Edo state; I mean we can't even say, accurately, how many Nigerians actually exist since there's no proper method of identification; we can only assume. However, what I stated was that there was a VERY high Muslim population amongst the Edos. Most of the ones u think are Christians are actually Muslims, or were born Muslims but converted: among the Edos this is not cause for a heart attack! A lot of them assumed english names because they felt it was fashionable at the time. . .then as they started having their kids, they also christened them with english names. There's hardly an Edo that has an English name that doesn't have a Muslim name (which is REALLY his/her FIRST NAME). Apart from the Binis and (maybe a slight majority of the Ishans) most of Edo state is largely muslim. Don't get it twisted!
