@Gbawe: You sound like Einstein chiding a conductor in Isale for breaking a Coca-Cola bottle and trying to stab you with it 'cause he lost an argument to you! Clearly, you're a classy guy; it shows in your posts. Nothing Beaf does should surprise you: it is who he is! Just keep up with the good points; you're really making serious dents in Mrs.Beaf Jonathan's arguments. . . Oh, and thanks for exposing his "spoilt brat" attitude: goad you, insult you, then reports you. Sorta like the game plan of the current President of Nigeria!
PoliticsRe: What Is The Average Age Of Nairalanders by jaygetta1: 5:36pm On Jan 15, 2011
I'd say NL members cut across all ages. I know adults---doctors, lawyers and co--- in their 40s-50s, even 60s, that are NL members. Infact, I know a Federal Judge in Nigeria that's a friend of the family that's a regular NL member!

@ Eko Ile: . . . And that is why I will neither castigate nor reprimand you. While I refuse to take sides, I, however, in my "fair" mannered approach to all things believe in fighting fire with fire. Thus, I believe a free rein should be handed to you on this one. I myself am appalled at the usual untruths that's propagated by some of the Igbos on this forum; thank God for the likes of excanny (if he's Igbo). I just hope they see their posts as comedic, and that they do not believe even 1/10th of the nonsense they leave us reeling from!

Ummmm. . . Jason123, the "na wa for tribalism" statement was intended for who? Afam4eva or Eko ile? While Eko's retort might have been venomous (and over the top) I doubt you, or anyone else for that matter, would be in position to defend Afam by screaming "triabalism"----Afam4eva is, clearly, one of the biggest tribal bigots we have on NL today. Why am I saying all this? Well, your antics, and tactics are (to put it mildly) annoying at best, and hypocritical, at worst!!!! You confuse, and confound me with your posits; they're usually neither here nor there. I understand the objective to be seen as 'detriablized',but, don't you think to be viewed as an "idi*ot" is even worse?
PoliticsRe: Presidential Debate - Battle Of The Campaigners by jaygetta1: 4:58am On Jan 15, 2011
Ah, glad to see that some of us can actually heed advice. Now that 'we've' come back to earth, and reality, and have now gone back to discussing with 'each other' instead of aggressively asking questions as if we were addressing the candidates themselves, I believe this discussion is 'back on track'. . . Lol
PoliticsRe: Easteners Suffer While Nigeria Is Led By A Hausa-fulani-yoruba Oligarchy.(read!) by jaygetta1: 4:39am On Jan 15, 2011
As if the thieving governors in the East are of 'Northern or Yoruba Muslim' origins. OP, if na the extra money wey dey your pocket dey make you feel like Bill Gates dey worry you, just relax, e go soon finish and you won't have any more to go waste at the local Cyber cafe just to spew this kind of rubbish. . . Don't worry we know, and have met, your kind on NL before. Your posts never reach 500 before you're relegated to 'absent for the last 2 years' status. Olofo! BTW, if you're really still in High School, I'd advice you to pick up some kind of trade, and learn it with vigor, because your english no be am at all.
PoliticsRe: Presidential Debate - Battle Of The Campaigners by jaygetta1: 3:47am On Jan 15, 2011
@Kobo: Glad to see that in your usual "ignore it if I can't handle it" and "ask more of the same Even-Koranic and Biblical Prophets-will-have-a-hard-time-making-sense-of" (to talk less of being able to 'answer')style questions; you have 'systematically' avoided providing an answer to that which I demanded one for. I see, in your usual style, you have resorted to him whom you feel is not only a soft-target, but who you also feel you can run rough-shod over. . . . I hear you, my dear. And, in popular Down South parlance, I say to you: I'm here, patiently waiting . . . Kobo, I doubt the person you are posing your questions to claimed to be so personable with Ribadu that he happens to KNOW what his (Ribadu's) immediate plans as President will be once he attains that seat. We were asked to pose RHETORICAL questions, and answers, BASED ON ASSUMPTIONS! All I see you doing, however, is asking to be given FACTS based on the individual plans of the candidates. I sincerely doubt (even Beaf, as vociferously Pro-GEJ as he is) any one of us can do this. To this effect, maybe your 'questions' should be more subtle, and fashioned to mirror nature of this discuss instead of taking us on a path that is sure to derail this interesting thread.
PoliticsRe: Presidential Debate - Battle Of The Campaigners by jaygetta1: 3:21am On Jan 15, 2011
@Kobojunkie: Lol @ "Ur kind"; I actually take that as a compliment. lol. (Applause from the audience).hahahaha. I have no problem with you. But I believe, I,and countless others on NL, are (quite frankly) sick and tired of your usual "round and round with no destination in mind" style of debating. . . . Amateurish, childish, and irritatingly annoying. And that's just putting it mildly. You say my "kind" are the type that fill up Nigeria today. . . Well, seeing as I spent only about 8 years of my life in that country; and most of my character has been shaped by my environment here in The United States---and you were clearly born bred and raised in Nigeria--- would you mind me asking where you got your annoying character from? Since you love getting "answers" to your "questions", could you please endeavor to providing me one to mine? Thanx. @Beaf: While I do not doubt that Buhari's Nephew might have committed suicide in his office while serving as a PTF bigshot, my stance still remains that Buhari's reputation as someone who abhors corruption cannot be easily shoved to the side. Here's a man that has had numerous chances to enrich himself via the Nigerian treasury, and did he dip his hands in the cookie jar? NO! And that is categorically speaking! Now, compare that to a man whose WIFE is engulfed in a mind boggling (okay, maybe minion according to Nigerian 'standards')$3million + scandal---and you have a man who is not fit to be head of a High School charity fund raising committee; to talk less of heading the richest, resource filled, most Populous black nation on the planet as its President.
PoliticsRe: The North Finally Loses Power by jaygetta1: 2:47am On Jan 15, 2011
@OP: it didn't take a "quiet, humble, Ijaw man" to destroy the Northern Oligarchy's hold on power, it took a vicious, calculating, and patriotic Yoruba man to do the damage. OBJ set the ball in motion. . . We can argue this to eternity if u feel like it!
PoliticsRe: Presidential Debate - Battle Of The Campaigners by jaygetta1: 2:40am On Jan 15, 2011
Kobojunkie, if Jesus was to reappera today, would argue him to a standstill the fact that the Bible claimed he was crucified on a cross. . . Unable to win against Kobo, Jesus would probably flee back to heaven into the warm, loving hands of his father. . . That said; give me a man whose tenures as Governor, Minister, Head of State and head of PTF was devoid of the usual stories of corruption; a man performed admirably as head of Nigeria's Anti-Graft Agency (and also refused a whooping $15million bribe); and one whose wife was involved in a $3million bribe scandal, depleted the National Reserve just to serve his own agenda to the detriment of Nigerians, surrounds himself with the very people that have been destroying Nigeria since its birth and you should know who my choice would be. . . And it definitely isn't the third individual described. While I won't castigate Mallam Ribadu (his sincerity and love for Nigeria is not in doubt), I do not believe he is the one to deliver Nigerians from hell. Simply put: the corrupt do not fear him AS MUCH!!!!! The name BUHARI strikes fear in the evil minds of Nigerians who aim to turn the country into their own personal fiefdom through the depletion on the Nation's coffers. Buhari might be see as being brutish(mostly by those who wish to continue "business as usual"in the country), but, if 'brutish' is what we need in order to eradicate corruption and set this great nation onto the path of glory, then give me it. Because, I will accept 'brutish', anyday, anytime, over 'silent works' and handing over control of the Nation's affairs to known crooks and pilferers. For this reason, amongst others, I say:Muhammadu Buhari is the man we need to set Nigeria back on the right track.

@Aloy/Emeka: E be like say something dey worry u for head. I asked a simple question: Where is the tribalism in Ileke-Idi's thread? All u had to do was show it to me, not tell me to "Shut it". Na Ogun go fiyya u for that statement. U dey find prey for NL na me ur GPS come direct u to? E be like sy u don marra finish. Personally, I'm not a fan of tribalism, so please do not bring ur beef close to my door-step, lest it gets cooked, down to a burning uneatable crust. For all those attacking Ileke-Idi, just in case I'm missing something, how is the fact that she posted news about the death of a Nigerian Football star living(sic) in Dallas amount to "Tribalism"?

@9to5365: ROFLMAO! The reserves are for the leaders to decide? No wonder my older sister's husband just got her another Range Rover to add to their ever increasing fleet of cars! Dorm Room? U wish.lol. U really think everyone is as wretched as u, or that everyone that abhors corruption must not have any sort of link with the elite that are determined to further ruin your already miserable life! Uncle, ure right, as an internet mouse the most I can do is decry the inhumane nature of the Nigerian Govt. Via cyberspace; I dare not say most of this in real life. . . I guess its true what people close to moi always say: NIGERIANS ARE STUCK WITH THE LEADERS THEY DESERVE! Otherwise, how else can we explain, a nonentity like urself applauding the depletion of the National Reserves by a guy who got to the Presidency by default, speaks very limited english, is married to a pseudo-educated female agbero, has no idea what to do with the economy . . . But u insist we vote for him. . . cause? He's a Cowboy from the ND?! U guys really need to suffer for real, cause comfort was not created by God with ur likes in mind!

PoliticsRe: Will Goodluck Jonathan Win The Upcoming Presidential Election? by jaygetta1: 5:55am On Jan 12, 2011
GEJ will win only if it is suddenly revealed that Jesus, Moses, and Abraham are actually Yoruba men born in Oke popo, Ita faaji, and Bamgbose respectively! Hell nah, he aint winning jack! He'll win the primaries alright, that's where his mojo ends. The North will back ANYOTHER candidate, from ANYOTHER party, just to ensure that Bayelsa Cowboy does not return to the throne! Good enough for me; even better for Nigeria. I really pray he wins the primaries!

@Nsiman, and the "fresh air" is Jonathan, abi? The same man that has depleted our reserves so badly that Sao Tome and Principe probably has more money in its foreign reserves than we do? If this is fresh air abeg give me toxic fumed air to breath cus I really do not see a difference!
PoliticsRe: Atiku To Go Back To Acn? by jaygetta1: 5:21am On Jan 12, 2011
And why wouldnt/couldnt the head of the FBI aspire to become President of the United States if this country was rife with unbelievable corruption like Nigeria? If he's eligible to contest, he can throw his hat in the ring. @Beaf: I agree with ur analysis;with a clause. Knowing that u have unflinchingly supported GEJ, I will only agree with u,WHOLEHEARTEDLY, if u also opine that GEJ is among the "ones" we need to get rid of in order to raise the country to the status it deserves!

PoliticsRe: Gay Group Backs Atiku by jaygetta1: 2:38am On Jan 12, 2011
Hahahahahha. . . Let the mud slinging begin! Team GEJ, tired of planting bombs and other incendiary devices, has decide to 'blow up' Atiku's chances by planting the "G-Bomb" close to Atiku's house. Tomorrow, watch Atiku borrow from GEJ's playbook by getting the Lesbo Community, Agbero community, and the Witches and Wizards association of South West/North-Central Nigeria to endorse GEJ. Two hours b4 the primary, watch as all the Rebel Groups in the Niger-Delta endorse GEJ and "threaten" to kill ATiffku if GEJ loses the primaries. Let the mudslinging and deceit begin. May the biggest, sticky-fin*gered barawo win. . .
