She was barely a month old when she came to stay with us. Her bright dreamy eyes glowing in the dark of the night, we gathered around her touching and cuddling her. I carried her up, allowing her face to meet mine, her little nose throbbing mildly. "what are we going to call her" I asked "Barnabas" was my father's reply, with a definite tone that means "its not up for discussion. We all wanted to protest, what kind of name is Barnabas, and isn't it a masculine name, how do we call her, when her name has more than two syllable, what happened to Becky, Agent, Rudolf and other cool canid names?. We all really wanted to protest, but knowing that any form of ingratitude from us would mean sending her back to where she came from, we all settled on calling her Barnabas. Barbie ( because no time to pronounce Barnabas) grew up so fast, soon her all black fur had traces of gold, her barking started to sound more like it, and gradually little children began to tremble when she passes (that's every dog's goal in life). Years went by and we grew with Barbie, she was in every family picture we took, and we even threw mock birthday parties for her, she had her own puppies, which was sold off as soon as they arrived. Barbie became our night guard she would bark and jump at any strange object or person trying to make way into our house, she had a phd when it came to rats, she would find her paws into the smallest hide out and discharge her sharp claw, slaying whichever form of rodent it finds. When annoying street boys follow us home, we would also unleash Barbie on them, she would chase them till they are out of sight. You need to see Barbie at meal time, once you come to fetch her plate to serve her, she would start her ritual dance and wagging of tail, making funny noise that sounds like that of a dying goat. She would sulk in her kernel when you delay during meal hours. She hates any visit to the vet, once she sight the white truck or the doctor's labcoat she would start whimpering, looking at you with those eyes, begging. Then she started visiting the vet too often, she got sick after every rain, even if it was just drizzles, she started dreading food too, she no longer jumped on us to welcome us, her usually bright eyes started to dull and cloud up. Every passing day she lost more weight, in no time she became the shadow of herself As Barbie illness got worse,Etim 's visit to the house became more frequent. Etim owned the restaurant down the street, mom had warned us never to buy food from the restaurant, she didn't tell us why, so we assumed the owner Mr Etim was a bad man or sort, his frequent visit to our house really did surprise us. Some days later we came back from school to see Mr Etim and two of his boys trying to get barbie to pass through the small gate, I could see her struggling with all the strength left in her , Mom just stood my the door, her eyes cloudy with tears, " what's happening" we yelled pulling Barbie away from Mr Etim's boys. 'leave them, let them take her' mom said we drew back and watched as they carried Barbie out of the house. her weak cries and those eyes looking back at us for the last time. She left us to go and answer a greater calling, she left us to go be the best dog pepper soup that ever was. She left us to be a 404. WE MISS YOU BARNABAS Visit www.personallyjay. |
kingDELE:I didn't say he isnt making money, i mean he flows naturally with rap |

Ghost447:Yes plenty guys and girls find rejection hurtful, The guy is not a total stranger to the Lady but it doesn't mean they had a pre-existing love affair. The girl tho, she just out of the blues buzzed him because she now need a job. What was she expecting. And for the guys saying "why is the girl forming, he just want to marry her' abbeeegi 'Marriage' is the latest scam password used by some guys to access in between a girls's leg. |
The way people rejoice over another's misfortune is very sad. Una no just get joy! |

.It was a complete circle, the best formation anyone could wish for. We all grinned with excitement, Our little brother is here, making us four, two boys and two girls. Perfect! Mommy said his birth was the easiest of all of us,I looked into the cot where he lay, his eyes small and slanted like a Chinese doll, his tiny head had no neck to support it. And his limbs looked inappropriate. I thought he looked like like Obinna, a boy in our hometown who behaves funny and not all there. We were young but we understood, we knew our new brother is a little different, we knew but we cared not, we knew but we loved him still. I went with Mom some months later to UNTH seeking the right equipment that will help and some answers. I remember vaguely what the doctor said, but some of it stuck " with proper care and in the right environment he will grow to be independent" he said. Just enough encouragement to rest our minds. Daddy would spend hours reading and gathering as much information as was available, he would share them with us. The little fella ever so hyper, he laughed a lot pushing his tiny fist up with every giggle, he totally defied every expectations and research we've done. They said he won't be active, that he would keep to himself a lot, they were wrong. He grew up filled with life, he would dance to noisy generators and pounding in the kitchen, he was happiest in the presence of music, Dad didn't waste a minute to get him toy musical instruments, he would play joyfully with them all day, our neighbours wondered why we allowed him so much freedom, they wondered why we scold him with smile laced faces when he indulges in one of his plenty mischief, they didn't know that with every "normal" thing he does that we were witnessing a miracle. Like most children in his shoes he had bouts of convulsion, each one milder than the previous, unlike his mates he was hardly sick. With time he totally out grew the convulsion. As he grew his interest shifted to electronics and sports, mostly wrestling and athletics. He would dismember any phone and couple it back with ease, while we still fumble to get new gadgets to work, he would have found all the buttons and intimate himself with their functions. He hates anything in letters and prefers them in numbers, his best color is red and for reasons best known to him, he likes #20 more than the rest denominations of money. Weird lol. He has now grown into a strong teenager, very smart and still mischievous. His favorite places are his school in Abuja, his elder brother's company and any other place with music and jollof rice. As the world mark Down syndrome day/week, I do wish my little brother Onyiii a happy celebration, for one I know everyone in my family learnt kindness, patience and tolerance from you and for that and all your awesomeness I say thank you Onyi. To families with Down syndrome kids, trust me it only gets better. Show them love, do not discriminate, they feel everything more deeply than you can imagine. Happy Easter Celebrations to Everyone. www.personallyjay. |
I think for ladies its depends on individual. I know some girls that don't like being eaten, some say its often sloppy and makes them uncomfortable, others just don't like it because they are self conscious (oh my maybe I smell down there ) there are those that actually don't feel anything from oral. but I think majority of the ladies enjoy a good mouthing. but definitely not all. funny some girls only have anal orgasm, so what good does oral do to those lot |

this is really nice. Any one can write a story but it takes raw talent to tell a story in your writing. The diction here is on point. I do love when one writes with the right choice of words. Anyway some inconsistencies should be checked @johnspurgeon, like the name as someone pointed out, and also the exact number of years its been since Banks father passed, you wrote 6 somewhere and 8 somewhere else I think. and some places you meant to use he,she was used... nothing serious just pls come and finish the story. oh and Lade and Banks left Secondary school 8years ago... and Banks is just graduating from school of art, did he attend any other school before the school of art? |
I write short stories, articles and what not, please read through and drop your comments. Thank you www.personallyjay. |

I remember some time ago, when she came on twitter to share this same story, some people called her a liar, while some girls attested to her claims, also giving their own encounters with the audus... well I think the case should be looked into |
