Your occupation (Television journalist) is a Skill level 1 class B occupation. This means a Bachelor degree equivalent to AQF is a must. From experience, qualifications from ABU have been assessed to be equivalent to a Diploma. This will likely give you a negative assessment. You can make an enquiry with VETASSES for clarification.

Meanwhile, the other hurdle to cross is that only ACT specifically has it on their occupation list. Other states have it under special conditions. You will have to go through the states' website for more information.

You can choose many occupations but the hurdle is they are all Skill level 1 and not many states sponsor them.
I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to respond to this. I have seen positive feedback here though. Even spoke with one from here today. @Justus86; ABU Quantity Survey grad.

I don't think PHOM aligns with an enlightenment officer. Go through the job descriptions for primary healthcare organisation manager and check against yours.
Hello Bellong, can you please advise me on what job role I can assess as, please with my ABU degree and over 10years work experience?

Studied Mass Comm, ABU.

All 5 year degrees and above or 4 year degrees from UI, OAU, FUTA and Unilag can do level 1 also.

Also note this is not applicable to all assessing bodies.

In your husband's case, not sure how that will turn out cos it's not a 5 year degree but he can try by providing letter of explanation on the Direct entry qualification and also provide transcript of his initial qualification.

EA is Engineers Australia
Thanks Tunlex01 embarassed
I got so confused and worried I went reading again. That ABU can't assess as level 1 is so heartbreaking but ... we move.

So I should check for a level 2 job for my experience right? I am afraid I didn't find any. If there is a link for level 2 or tier 2 universities and kinds of jobs graduates fron there can assess positively as, please be kind and share.

Worried candidate
TravelRe: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by JayMaine: 6:50pm On Sep 27, 2020
@Tunlex01 so I went reading up a few things again and came across this:

How we assess if your work is skilled
If you are applying for a Skilled Migrant Category Resident Visa, you need to find the closest matching Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupation (ANZSCO) occupation for your current job or job offer. You must also be suitably qualified to do the job — your training and experience must match your occupation's ANZSCO skill level.

We assess your occupation as skilled if it:

is described in the ANZSCO as a skill level 1, 2 or 3 occupation, and it mostly matches the ANZSCO description of that occupation meets the pay rate threshold of NZD $25.50 per hour (or equivalent annual salary) or more, or is described in the ANZSCO as a skill level 4 or 5 occupation, and it mostly matches the ANZSCO description of that occupation meets the pay rate threshold of NZD $38.25 per hour (or equivalent annual salary) or more, or has no matching description in the ANZSCO and meets the pay rate threshold of NZD $38.25 per hour (or equivalent annual salary) or more.

And I went back to read this, too:

UNIT GROUP 2124 JOURNALISTS AND OTHER WRITERS

JOURNALISTS AND OTHER WRITERS research and compile news stories, write and edit news reports, commentaries and feature stories for presentation in print and electronic media, and compose written material to advertise goods and services.
Indicative Skill Level:
In Australia and New Zealand:

Most occupations in this unit group have a level of skill commensurate with a bachelor degree or higher qualification. At least five years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification. In some instances relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification (ANZSCO Skill Level 1).

Please forgive my naivety and point me in the right direction please. I no know jack!

tunlex01:
Journalist and TV journalist are all level 1 occupations which means your degree from ABU will not be able to assess for those occupations. If there is any level 2 occupation or below that you can assess relating to journalism, then you can go for it. Check the 3 occupation lists.

Your spouse can assess for a safety role with his BTech cos it's a 5 year course. Pls check the list to see the right safety occupation to assess as long as there are documents to back up the 10 years employment.

What are you doing with EA?
This is scary.

Is it all foreign degrees that can't assess as level 1 or just my degree from ABU? Every other occupation that has to do with journalism is Level 1 from what I've seen so far, boss.

My husband's Occupational Health and Safety Officer role is also a level 1 occupation. He has an FUTMx degree. His BTech degree was started in 200L - direct entry.

I said EA because I assumed EA is Educational Assessment grin grin grin grin

Any further advise on what to do at this moment will be life saving. Please help.

Hi everyone,

I got a mail from Abraham Lincoln foundation(ALF) to attend their sponsored international language training. The outline of the course seems interesting but I am feeling some doubts.

Kindly share your experience if you have attended this training or any of their training or If you have heard about them please.
Good evening Growingboi

Did you eventually take the course? Did you finish it? Did you enjoy the courses? Please let me know. I got a mail from them today after applying as well. It will help to know. Thank you.

Wrong information.

To get a letter of sponsorship, the sponsor needs only

1) His job contract
2)His 3 months payslip
3) His International passport data page or residence permit ( He mustn't be a German)
4) The student admission letter
5) The student passport data page
6) 29€ fee .

That's all.
Aha! I stand corrected guys. Not using it, so I figured Eldee's is correct, plus, no one contested it back then.
Things change on this journey.

Deustchemann:
Thanks chief. I'm glad to be back here.
I had back-and-forth issues with the SL I submitted during my interview on July 17. This ran from my interview date till October ending. Within that period, the embassy finally rejected the SL and asked me to submit another one or a fully funded BA. By October ending, I was able to get another properly issued SL which I submitted to the embassy with an enrolment extension for January 31. I waited and waited oh.. no response. I mailed the embassy and Essen auslanderamt, no response. Called various times, they'll tell me to wait for email.
My application was finally rejected on the claim that the second SL was falsified and all my documents returned to me on January 28.

Moving forward, I began to try out China govt scholarship, commonwealth scholarship and a host of others before I later got an offer email on February 14 from a job I applied for since last year. I've taken the job offer and I'll consider doing a Masters in Germany whenever I get a study leave.
No waaaaaayyyyyy!!!!!!

No wonder a family friend said your BA is your best bet after God's Grace.

So sorry to read this, Deustchemann.

DE missed a smart one.

Please which university does not require sending documents to uniassist or have the easiest application procedure for an undergraduate program in Germany.

Those that have admission offers from some universities in Germany should please recommend their schools to me, specifically for undergraduate.

Thank you
I got this from the honourable Deutschmann's posts in 2019.

1. University of Saarland
2. University of Bonn
3. University of Gottingen
4. University of Applied sciences, Aachen
5. Ruhr University, Bochum
6. University of Bayreuth
7. University of Bremen
8. University of Kiel
9. University of Siegen
10. University of applied sciences, Hamm-Lipstadt
11.Technische Universität Ilmenau (here you'll pay 25 Euro processing fee)

Don't forget that some courses might have slight variations in the mode of Application across these schools, so do a background check on each of them.

I hope this helps.

Alles wird gut

So while reading through Part 5, I stumbled on this.

Documents or items required from a sponsor who wants to give you a Sponsorship Letter

Sponsor's German I'D,
Account details,
SCHUFA a record of tax payments,
Number of dependants,
Details of dependants,
Payment of 50euros this depends on the city and your passport data page.
Your sponsor can contact the foreign office also called Auslanderbehorde for booking of appointment and further enquires.

Pls someone should answer.
It means the admission type in this case is Numerus Clausus meaning "limited number".

This invariably means there's only a limited number of slots for admission to the course/department or faculty as the case may be.

Selection will be based on a number of factors. You can find out more on the course website.

All the best, man.
