So Lira and John B left the nest today at 9 weeks and I am literally crying . I never expected to be this emotional cos I always saw them as food mongers and money suckers. it feels like they have died or something. it turns out the guy that paid for them is selling to someone else. I may never hear about them again. they took them this night in the rain so I didn't even take a goodbye shot.

Your boy is growing right sir. Kudos. He ain't looking like no Gsd at all. At th food, he prolly doesn't like it. Caucs are hardly picky eaters.

thanks theyongest thanks for the encouragement. I have tried all sorts of food. he likes canned food sha but I can't afford to be feeding him that daily. I have used Arion, booster then bingo. I won't mind suggestions please.

Zeus my caucasian is 5 months old today. he is still a picky eater and I usually lose sleep over that. He looks like a German Shepherd to me or is it my eyes?

And today Cleo was delivered to her new owner. I have mixed feelings but mennn. 1 less mouth to feed. e no easy. I will miss you girl. To the new owner, thanks for your patronage it means alot. hope you keep us updated on how she is doing.

Hi all! My caucasian puppies at 5 weeks. They had their first DHLPP vaccine yesterday. It cost N1,500 each no thanks to recession.

Their diet has changed to include the following is a pasty form.
1. Arion Dry puppy food (soaked in cold water overnight)
2. K9 wet canned food
3. Hard boiled eggs mashed
4. water
meanwhile, they were dewormed at 2weeks, 4weeks and will be at 6 weeks.

You may avoid giving them soap bath. As they shed, they will become cleaner. Just use warm water.

My caucasian puppies are 4 weeks old today. Yahoo! The rubber rings have all fallen off their ears. Today, the finally all ate from their bowl with minimal mess. The have been looking very dirty with caked food and poop I guess (eeewww). So they had their first spot bath we used warm water, mild dog shampoo, a soft brush and towel.

My Caucasian puppies are 4 weeks old today. Yahoo! The rubber rings have all fallen off and today, they all ate from their bowl with minimal mess. So today I got this recipe for semi solid formula and the way the puppies chowed it left me surprised. I just mixed the ingredients I already have into a paste and fed them using a 20ml syringe. The minimum qty I gave each puppy was 20ml and I gave extra to those who still wanted more. I was feeling like a mother bird feeding her chicks. These are the ingredients I used even though the guy said cerelac and kibbies was just ok.

1. cerelac
2. complan
3. eggs (beaten and boiled in water)
4. dry grounded kibbies
5. water

This is Zeus my caucasian puppy at 3 and a half months old. he may not be as fat as i expected but his paws are something else. At this age, the are as big as Ira's (who is almost 2 and a half years old) if not bigger. I really hope he grows to his full potential in due time. For now, i feed him Arion puppy food soaked in warm water with one whole egg and milk. I fry the egg most times.

Zeus @ 3months. I am not satisfied with his growth. He is so hyper that i cannot even get a decent picture

Zeus at about 8 weeks. his TRUE colours are beginning to manifest. He is barking at me.

Meet my other puppy Zeus AKA Mr sweet face. I fell in love with him the moment i saw those white rings round his eyes and couldnt resist picking him. Brought him home at 6 weeks. He is a picky eater and that has left me really worried cos i think his growth is affected. So he is now on a diet to make his gain weight. This is a picture of him the day we brought him home at 6 weeks. He is looking so cute and innocent like those are his true colours . And i meant that literally as well cos the colour of his fur and hair are changing drastically.

So my caucasian puppies are 3 weeks old today. Hurray!!!. tried the weaning process yesterday by giving them a mixture of cerelac and complan in a flat saucer but they just messed everywhere up (I guess they are not ready). tried today again still no luck. So I just stick to bottle feeding.

Meanwhile 2 of the ears have fallen so far.

Oh wow. Why crop their ears though? Why not allow it grow all the way?

I heard somewhere that cropping the ears prevents them from getting injuries there due to consistent flapping to chase away flies. on the other hand, it makes them finer (don't u think so?)

It's another way of cropping the ears instead of using a blade. Tiny rubber rings were used by the expert.

Hey. Lovely pups you've got there. Just wanted to tell you that I learnt the hard way that raw eggs ain't good for pups. My pups died and someone on this forum told me its not good to feed raw eggs to pups since their immune system isn't strong enough to fight diseases that could be in the raw eggs. So you might want to just stick to the milk feeding and leave the raw eggs out of it for now. . Just my thoughts

So my caucasian dam is gradually getting her groove back. it's 11 days since she whelped. I however have mixed feelings because I was kindof glad motherhood had calmed her down( I was so wrong) she has almost resumed fully her usual habit of jumping on us and engaging in rough play which always wears me out. Her energy is not from this planet likewise her appetite which is gradually normalising( she cleaned her plate today). On the other hand, I am glad she is healthy.

Bottle feeding my caucasian puppies at 10days. I mixed complan with egg yolk and they greedily gulped it down.
