Vikkygeee: I created this account lately to search for something here so I figured I'd just throw this out and maintain my anonymity. I am 30years old and I'm the first born of my family I've got 2 siblings, one male and female. My sister just finished her education in Ukraine and she is working in am hospital in lagos she's a medical doctor and she's just 25. My sister is a very attractive girl and she has always had tons of male admirers ,some guys even go to the extent of befriending me just to get in touch with my sister, but the problem is she just doesn't like to mingle or even hangout with guys except they are just her friends. Growing up I thought it was because of the brotherly advice I gave her about men so I wasn't worried, at 16 she went to Ukraine and came back 7 years later. When she came back I notice there is always this Ukrainian girl that calls her like everytime daily and they talk for hours, I thought they were just bffs until I used her laptop when data ran out of mine one day and just happen to see her chats and what I saw was suprising, their chat dated for years and i saw pictures of them together on dates, vacations, bed, kissing, cuddling ,heck I even found some explicit picture the girl sent her ,but for the sake of privacy I didn't check it out. The problem now Is that our parents are disciplinarian and I don't ever want them to find out because it will lead to a big trouble between them. Some days ago I showed at my sister's apartment and I sat her down and asked her if she's gay or not,she replied without even hesitating that she is truly gay and she wouldn't live her life otherwise, hearing this I just left without saying anything and went to my house, she even called me a couple times to explain but I didn't pick up. After pondering about this issue I decided to speak to her because I love her so much as she is our last born,i called her to come and meet me at home, she came and i spoke to her at length about the situation on ground and I made her understand that Nigeria doesn't support those kind of things,my sister replied me that she's engaged to that ukranian and she is going to marry her irrespective of what it'll cost her. Knowing my little sister she's an extremely determined human being, anything she says she'll do, she'll do it even if she'll suffer though it.i don't want to lose her so I've given her my support and told her I'll find a way to solve this issue. The problem now is that a friend of mine advised me to tell our parents so that everything will scatter and she won't have a choice,to tell the truth that was what I planned on doing before, or she goes back to Ukraine this year and marry that girl then they'll do artificial insemination to bear a child that way we'll have something to show to our parents that'll signify she's married and later on we'll let the cat out of the bag. Please mature people should help me chip in and give me some advice abeg.
The Boy child is easily the most neglected child at home
In our quest to "Protect the Girl child" we easily forget the boy child exist
On an average, A boy child passes through a whole lot but he is not expected to speak up
The society that encouraged the girl child to speak up(rightly so), also encourages to boy child to shut up
If You talk, you a joke If you cry, you are weak
In our families, the average allowance of a girl child is 4 times that of a boy child.. And when they complain, they will be told to "Fend for themselves, are they not men?"
The Boy Child also get molested, but who will believe Us? The Boy child get abused, but who will listen?
Our tales are fables to many Funny tales to our security operatives
As We Fight for the Girl child
Let's not forget the Boy child too
PROTECT THE BOY CHILD WE ARE JUST AS PRONE AS OUR SISTERS
TheSuperNerd: Well, he should be there ahead of Dessers, Maja or Iheanacho? See the problem? His competition are equally bad-ass. When I say he's not far, it simply means his first senior call-up is not far off and I can confirm that Rohr has eyes on the lad. And true, the Serbian league is a low point but he won't be there for long anymore. Remember Peter Olayinka was called up despite still playing in Czech Republic thanks to his UCL showing against Inter and Barca.
Sadiq's time in the SE is fast coming.
As for Nwakaeme, we all know why he doesn't stand a chance now. His age and the competition in his role. He should just keep enjoying his club career. It will take a crazy combination of circumstances and player withdrawals from a particular international games window to see Nwakaeme come into the picture again.
I'm so glad for Umar Sadiq
This guys made local football fun then
Together with Theophilus solomon and the likes
Funny enough, whenever he comes back home, you will never know he is an international player
Ravioli: Rojo's contract expires in 2021, however Manchester United have an option to extend that by 12 months. Rojo is keen to play enough first team football to gain a spot in the Argentina squad for Copa America, now scheduled for 2021, due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Gernot Rohr should look at this prospect. Much better attacking midfielder than Iwobi. On the same level as ejaria. Will become a better AM than Ebere Eze in future.
2020 and we still talking about Racism People getting stereotype because of their skin color or origin Remember when you said a people are dirty, or lacking in trust? The white folks might be at the receiving end today, but there is also a Racist in Us
I remember growing up, we were fed with lots of tales by moonlight, sometimes even during daytime
How one tribe is made up of con men You dare not go there We were taught never to smile at them, they are not to be trusted...
What about the other people? Taah!! They dirty in and out Dirt has eaten into their souls,it's only rubbish that comes out from their mouth
We were also taught that there are some people worse than snakes Don't thrunk from the same cup with them, don't befriend them, don't make that mistake
We were also taught to fear North Every mallam out there got a explosive device strapped underneath their Jalabia
So we grow up believing the men from the East are by no means wise The Bible must be mistaken Cos how can the wisemen come from the same East that knows nothing but Kidnapping
We grow up skeptical about people from the North His name is Yusuf?? Damn!! Drop our loads and start to run
We are all Hypocrites How we think Racism is a fight between the white and black But we've vowed never to help a brother who is not from our clan
We all guilty of the same sin George Floyd was a victim of the society we created We can trend #blacklivesmatters But if we can't tolerate our brothers from other tribes If we still stereotype each other If we can't marry a girl/boy because they are not from our tribe/church
Then we just as guilty as the people we curse For we can't claim to fight for justice when there is a Racist in us
sheyishemba: am really skeptical bout osihmen going to Tottenham..the dude should just go to Napoli ...Tottenham are not assuring him game time coz they have Kane and moreover if the should use two striker it will definitely affect eriksen who is their top midfielder but in Napoli he is definitely guarantee of a starting shirt coz milik will soon be sold and merten might also be leaving so he will have his chances also Liverpool might not give him chances due to the creativity that firmino provides for Liverpool and let not forget origi is still in Liverpool ....Going to Liverpool is damn risk like F**k . Napoli is the best for him let him just go
I just heard that Osimhen has signed for Napoli from a reliable source sha
According to the guy
He got a text from "Osimhen's Guardian" claiming "Napoli have agreed 60 million deal for Osimgoal and promised his playing time and the Jersey number 7; the only thing holding the deal is that Lille is insisting on adding further percentage clause for future sales"
komekn: Which ones are not regulars and even with that you must take into cognisance the club standing and the limited opportunities given to them on what is world class teams and indeed the best team.in the world.
Rhian Brewster is not going to get regular opportunity in Liverpool. Nonetheless, he went on loan to Swansea in January and has played 11 games scoring 4 goals.
Danny Loader is a teenager who has played near 30 games for Reading. He is currently wanted by Crystal Palace and Wolves.
The context is anchored on the word "Progression" of these young players of which some are still teenagers.
These are very objective based assessment. But you are claiming prejudice and bias.
So to prove your point of biased prejudice. Please make a comparison of the 2017 Eaglets U17 forward players. And tell me where they are now. Otherwise you are just being the very thing you are alleging.
Please don't evade or go missing you have alleged now substantiate.
Like i said, this guys are getting this favours cos they are English
Sancho is doing great at Dortmund
Osimnhen is doing wonders at Lille
Foden is a golden boy at Man city
Chukwueze is a golden boy at Villareal(an international player at that)
Brewster is an up and coming player, nobody knows if he will be like Solanke tomorrow... Yeah he's signed to Liverpool
Nwakali was signed to Arsenal
Zakari is contracted to Real Betis
Micheal is also contracted to Bologna
You can't say the English players are progressing while ours is regressing, you lack basics
On Chukwueze's move to Chelsea, you never know until you move.. You will never score a goal if you keep running away from the goal post...
He's talented, a star in the making and if other players can take the move and make it.. I'm damn sure Samu can
komekn: They are all from the England U20 teams in that year 2017.
In general there is progression from U17 to U20 all those players progressed from U17 to U20. So what exactly is your point ❓
The context was progression of our U17 Eaglets of 2015 and how many of them have progressed in the broader sense. But in comparison to the England U17/20.
With regards to the bold what you have described is the structure and management of youth football in Europe. Again l am a bit perplexed at what you are trying to convey.
However, in comparison in Nigeria the football clubs are not the core sources of youth players. But a plethora of predominantly private youth academies across the nation. All with different agendas around player development.
But for the sake of it I'll go through just the forwards of the England 2017 U17 and where they are barely three years later. For you to make a comparison.
Rhian Brewster (Liverpool), Philip Foden (Manchester City), Callum Hudson Odoi (Chelsea), Danny Loader (Reading), Jadon Sancho (Borussia Dortmund), Emile Smith Rowe (Arsenal)
All of them are progressing within football at an exceptional rate particularly Jadon Sancho. Most of these names are very well known to most of us, l am sure.
Obviously, we will know them
They are from England
We follow English football
3 out of the 6 you mentioned are not regular first team players
I believe if they are Nigerians, you wouldn't say they are doing well
ChrisKels: This among others(poverty and illiteracy et al), is one of reasons I seldom have high hopes on northern players, their ideology and orientation always hold them back, that make them less ambitious, though, they delude themselves by giving it a different interpretation with the word "contentment"
Yahaya is hugely talented
CONTENTMENT
That's the problem
We get "contented" with mediocrity
If we manage to achieve a little, we hardly strife for me.. We just feel okay with our little achievement
Yahaya could have being more
We had high hopes for him
Mutunchi Academy had high hopes for him
Now he's rotting away in Porto B, jumping from one Kannywood actress to another
ChrisKels: Las las e be like Manu Garba boys dey always flatter to deceive, when I look at the 2013 squad and what became of them at the long run, I weep.
How much I loved and believed in a certain Musa Yahaya
Oh Musa Yahaya!!
I remember the whole of Kawo was agog with celebration when we won the Under 17
People trooped to his Father's house to celebrate
Christians and Muslims alike
God!! How i prayed he succeeded
Alot of players from this Northern side always end up not having a good career
I think it boils down to how we were raised or something
The feeling of "Que Cera Cera (naso God want am)" has done us bad
safarigirl: I apologize for the diss on diaspora Nigerians
I went back to check the post and also noticed the generalization, that's why on my last post to komekn, I withdrew the generalization, because I realized it was in bad taste.
Till today, when I think back on that post, I don't feel good about it. I am an overthinker, overworrier and over-explainer, I don't know how to turn it off.
Anyway, I apologize to you and any other Diasporan for that post, it was not my intention to demonize everyone.
We the diasporans from the Republic of Wadiya accept your apologies
