Edo State Chief of Staff, Hon. Patrick Obahiagbon, in this interview with Comfort Oseghale, speaks on the general elections.

How would you assess the conduct of security operatives during the polls?

The conduct of security operatives in the Assembly elections was certainly an amelioration on their performance two weeks ago in Edo State but the same cannot be said of their modus operandi across the length and breadth of the country. They certainly crossed the line of constitutionalism and democratic propriety in states like Rivers, Akwa Ibom and some others, which is certainly depreciable and outrageously despicable.

What would you say was responsible for the low turnout of voters last Saturday?

I’m sure the low voter turnout could be attributable to a vaudeville of ratiocinations. The presidential election attracted more voters ostensibly because that was the political elephant and was therefore occasioned with anttendant publicity ballyhoo. A vast majority of Nigerians were also righteously indignant of the state of economic quagmire, political phantasmagoria and social disequilibrium the philistine and clueless government of President Jonathan has plummeted the country.

They saw in the presidential election a sui generis opportunity to get the yoke off their back and that they did ferociously. This passion was not as frenzied in the last election.

What’s your assessment of yesterday’s polls where APC emerged winner?

I’m not at all in the least surprised as to the marvelous performance of the APC at the polls in Edo State yesterday and this is because it’s a further reconfirmation of the fact that the Edo people are forever grateful to the comrade governor for his tireless and irrefragable efforts in the concrete fructification of the dividends of democracy.

The massive pulverisation of the opposition strongholds demonstrates beyond doubts that the Edo people are no longer prepared to go to Egypt, their political path and that of the comrade governor having utilitarianly intersected at political Damascus.

What effect will the current results have on Edo State’s governorship elections next year?

Of course it is clear now that the political hands and legs of the comrade governor are indubitably strengthened to now guide and guard the succession process to safe destination without fear or favour and let or hindrance.

Edo State is certainly now a one-party state and with the APC in control of federal suzerainty, the comrade governor has become the ultimate godfather of Edo politics but a political godfather guided by conscience, the public good and our collective morality and I wish him well in the days ahead.

Over the week, news filtered in that Nollywood Actress Bimbo Akintola was involved in a fight with a shop attendant at the Palms, Lagos over 300 Change, well It may be that actress, Bimbo Akintola, has a look alike sister as the actress is claiming that it was her sister who fought in the mall recently and not her.

The actress, in a phone conversation with Saturday Beats, while admitting there was a fight, claimed it was actually her sister that was involved in the fight and not her.

However, according to an eye witness, the wahala started when Bimbo bought something from a shop and the shop attendant didn’t have N300 balance to give to the actress.

Bimbo, Saturday Beats gathered, insisted she would collect her balance and went to the extent of telling the attendant that she would help her look for change.

“The attendant waited for a long time and didn’t see Bimbo. After some time, she saw Bimbo climbing up to the cinema and she went to meet her there and insisted the actress should give her the money. That was when the fight started,” the eye witness said.

But Bimbo said the incident is actually a case of mistaken identity as she wasn’t the one who was involved in the fight.

She said, “This thing happened about three weeks ago and nobody said anything about it. The lady attacked my sister and that is what happened. It did not happen to me but to my sister. She kept our change for over two hours and my sister demanded for the change. Although my sister later gave somebody the change anyway, it did not happen to me and my sister is not an actress.”

Once again, the actress denied being engaged despite the fact that some people claimed to have seen her wearing an engagement ring at an event recently.

“There is nothing like marriage on the cards for me anytime soon. People who claimed they saw me wearing an engagement ring at an event are just spreading rumours about me. Stop listening to rumours please. Ignore them,” she said.

Ndigbo residents in Lagos, yesterday, said despite the “unfortunate” statement by Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, on Igbo in the state, they have forgiven the traditional ruler in good faith.

They said that the statement was not enough to make them change their minds about voting for continuity of the present administration in the state which they believe would further complement ongoing transformation in Lagos State.

Chairman of Igbo community in Apapa, Engr. Gabby Dimude who made the remarks while addressing Igbo in the state at a stakeholders’ forum said the investments of the Igbos in the state could not be jeopardised on the ground of the anti-Igbo comments by the Lagos monarch.
According to him,

“The Oba’s statement remains unfortunate, but it is not going to be an obstacle for us to vote for APC in the Saturday governorship and state house of assembly elections. Our APC leaders have already replied the Oba. But what I am telling the Igbos in Lagos and Apapa to remain calm. We have put that behind us, though, to err is human to forgive is divine.

“What is at stake is bigger than the statement of the Oba, so we have to stick together first, be part of the winning team so that we can move progressively. Today is a day of history, the Igbos in Apapa, Igbos in oil and gas, maritime, shipping, clearing and forwarding, the owners of the tankers and all Igbos have accepted and agreed to be part of history by voting for APC. For the first time in the history of Nigeria, Lagos and Abuja will be one in terms of federal and state government, that is why we are here to be part of the history”.

Dimude said the Igbo communities in Apapa have therefore decided to queue behind Ambode and APC House of Assembly candidates, saying “our interest stands to be protected if the party wins the elections.”

The Igbo leader however, urged Ambode to ensure that Igbo indigenes are given more slots in his cabinet if he emerges victorious in the April 11election.

“The Igbos must be fully represented in Lagos. We are part and parcel of development in Lagos. We pay our taxes. We have two Igbo brothers in Lagos government, but we need more, they should accommodate more Igbo indigenes in their government”election.

What actually transpired between you and this Steven and the whole ga’y issue?
First of all, it is really pathetic for somebody of my status going through this kind of rubbish, it's really very sad. This as* hole contacted me on facebook. I am a very calm and quiet person for me to come out on the net and start writing all those kind of things you should know that I am very pissed. I have a wife and children I mean at this stage I will start being gay, am I drunk?

But the guy accused you of being bisexual?
The guy is a psycho. He contacted me about two years ago. He said he is gay on facebook and he loves me and wanted us to date. I said bros, ‘I no do this kind of shit, move forward’ and he tried and got my number and tried to bug me for a while, called and called and i blocked all his line and that was it. After a few months, he called me again and said that he’s gone on the internet and he has found out how to call people with different numbers that I can’t block him again. So i said okay, what is the problem? He said he is not telling me anything about gay again that he just wants us to be friends and I said no problem, I can be friends with you but once you start anything gay, abeg leave me, this not my thing, he says okay that he loves me and he loves my films and all that and I said alright, no problem.

This guy became my friend, he would call me, we will chat, gist, we will talk and he will ask of my family, like that time dey pass. After a while, he called me because he stay in Canada and said that he would love to do something for my family, I don’t know the problem he said he has, that he would love to do something for my family before he dies. I said okay, what is it? He said he wants to help do a Canadian visa for my family just to do papers, sent me a couple of documents that he did for people like that. ‘I said bros leave me alone,’ I said by the Grace of God, if I want to send my family to any country, I can afford it, let me be. This guy would disturb me, he calls somebody over a thousand times in a day, This psycho called me and called me, I said no problem because he will always call me a snub, saying ‘you celebrities are snubs, you people talk to people anyhow’ and there is nothing there, so I said no problem, ‘speak with my wife, this is my wife’s number so you guys can arrange this thing. Before that time, he will send me sometimes, 4000-5000 naira credit into my phone.

I said ‘bros stop sending me credit, I can buy credit for myself, am not broke, I can buy anything I want to buy’ he said ‘no that it is just to show love, to show appreciation that there is nothing there’ and I said no problem let him not say I am a snub anything that he wants to do fine, I don’t snub people but the moment you tell me anything gay that means i won’t talk to you again. That’s it my guy. He started doing papers, he started organising all those things. He sent my wife somebody’s number saying he is a visa agent. My wife organised all those papers and my children’s documents and everything and sent to him. My wife even went to I think Ikeja, to write the aptitude test.

Immediately after that, I think a week or two after, this guy called me that I should send him picture of my dick. I said ah ah, what’s all these rubbish now? He said that, ‘ehn, since we can’t do anything now, he is in Canada and I am in Nigeria, that I should just send him a picture of my di'ck that he will be fine.’ I said ‘my friend God punish your entire generation. I told you when you were doing this whole visa thing, if you are doing this thing because of gay, I am not interested. If I am ready to move my family to anywhere, I have the money to move my family anywhere. My brother, na so all this rubbish start o.

How was he always sending you recharge cards while in Canada and you are in Nigeria?
I don’t know o but I think it’s this top-up thing, I don’t know but some credit will just enter my phone like that. Easy top-up or something. Like that o.

But he said he warned you not to reveal anything online or else he would disclose all that
transpired between both of you?
What he is trying to do is to cover himself. I have a name to protect, I have my father’s name. The guy is just trying to pull himself out of this whole mess. His family members called me and were pleading about the whole situation. This is a guy that has been bugging a lot of artistes.

Have you seen him face to face before?
He has been to my place once. He came to my house sometime last year at Gowon Estate. He came to my gate, I saw him. I told you that after that whole thing, we became friends. I don’t snub people, I am not Jesus Christ. I don’t hate anybody; I don’t have time for all that. If you want to be my friend, you will be my friend. He will call me, we talk, he will call me and ask about my family and all that. That was it o, we became close. But I told him that ‘if you are doing anything gay, please leave me alone, I can’t at this stage of my life be looking for a man to screw, I have better things to do with myself.’

So since the whole scenario happened till date, what has been your wife’s reaction over this?
What do you want her to say now? She knows the whole thing started, she has been following it, (laughs). My wife has been following the whole thing. If you want to talk to my wife, I can give her the phone for you to talk to her, she is here. She has been following the whole thing and knows how everything started. So what this guy is trying to do now is to exonerate himself from the whole thing. For you to know how bitter I am, if everything i have said about this situation is a lie, let God strike me dead this night. But if that boy is lying against me, I give him one week, that boy will not survive. He can’t be messing with a man like me. You can’t just be messing with people. If I am lying against that boy, I swear with my life, this night, if i sleep, let me not wake up. Write it down, record it, post it online say that I said it. For that boy, I am giving him one week, he will not survive. You can talk to my wife, she is here.

At this point, the discussion was now between NFF and Yul Edochie’s wife, May, who tried to give her own account of the whole scenario to the best of her knowledge.

Madam, in as much as it’s affecting your husband, your name was also mentioned in the scenario by this Ugochukwu Steven guy that you sent him mails, what do you have to say to that?
Let me just give you the synopsis, my husband has explained to you already. He started disturbing my husband since last year. At some point, anytime he comes home, his phone will ring from morning till night, I was like who is this person now, he said ‘this person is a psycho.’ Then eventually, the guy has been begging him (Yul) that let him help his family to get a visa to Canada, my husband said no. Then he said that he is not going to disturb him with the gay thing again that let them just be friends, let him just do something as a friend and a fan. So my husband told me, I thought about it and I said okay, there is no harm in trying.

So he sent an agent details through my husband’s personal assistant. The agent called me and asked for details and everything, I sent to him all our documents, this was how this guy got our documents. He started the whole visa thing. At some point, he told me that I have to write a test and I went for the test somewhere in Ikeja, I passed the test, I sent it to him. Then along the line, he started with his ga’y rubbish again.

Occasionally, he will send some things through my husband’s PA that nobody asked him to send. He would send recharge cards or whatever on his own without anybody asking. Of course we can afford to buy any amount of recharge cards that we want but he kept sending to my husband and we have told him, ‘stop all this things, it’s not necessary,’ he continued with his ga’y whatever. Then he kept calling me that in a day, i will get about 750 calls from one human being.

Do you know why he was calling me? That I should tell my husband that he responds to his demands. So this thing continued for a long time. I can give you my number that if you call nobody could reach me, all my business partners, nobody could reach me. If you call my number, it will tell you ‘number busy’ because of this guy for several months until my husband said okay, you have to change your number and he bought another sim card for me, that was how I lost that number. So he couldn’t contact me anymore. He now started posting all those pictures and documents I sent to him for the visa stuff online.

As we speak, he created a profile on facebook with my document. In fact when I woke up this morning, so many people because they don’t have my number anymore because I changed it, they were like please send me your number, I would like to reach you, I was like what is it? They said somebody created a profile using my name and my documents, all my children, everything is there on facebook, my children’s documents, my own documents, my certificate, my passport, everything, the guy is just crazy.

You are saying you sent him the document, but he is saying your husband gave it to him directly?
Yes I gave it to an agent in one of this Yoruba state, whether Ogun or something. There are emails, I sent everything, my husband doesn’t have time, he is not even interested, he doesn’t even know what this visa thing is all about; he does not have time for all of that. I sent them to the agent myself. I sent the hard copy to the agent I think in Ogun state, one Bola but I have forgotten his name. I sent the hard copy to that agent then I sent the soft copy to him. If I check my email, it will still be there.

Then the hard copy was resent to me through DHL, the parcel is still with me in my house from Ogun state or wherever the agent is. So I don’t even know what the guy is talking about. The guy is just crazy. Two or three days ago, he sent me an email; it’s still in my box. He sent me an email of picture with some naked men and all sorts of things and told me that whether he will stop disturbing my husband and start disturbing me something like that.

I don’t know, okay, look at it this way, if he has issues with my husband, what has it got to do with me? What has it got to do with my children? Okay, this is another way of looking at it, if he has documents, is it right for anybody to post documents, my school certificate is there, my birth certificate is there, my travel documents, is it right? It’s not right. Now because his picture is there, he is making noise. Now you don’t want your picture to be online but you want others. He did not start this thing today o, if he posts anything on tweeter maybe something disgusting and someone ask him, ah ah, why are you doing this person like this, he will cut the person’s picture and put naked picture beside it and do all sorts of things and post it.

This thing started since last year not today but his picture came up recently because my husband got fed up when he displayed my own picture that was when my husband got fed up like two or three days ago and posted his own picture, so what is he saying? He started posting these documents long before today. If you go online, you will see them, you will see the date and you will see people’s comment and not like we are making all this up or anything. Fine, he said he was going to help to do the visa whatever, we send our documents, does that give him the right to post it?

This morning, people started calling me, ‘your sensitive documents are online, what is it’ in fact somebody had to report that account before even getting to me. The person told me, a friend of mine that immediately she saw it, she knew that maybe it was a scam or something, she reported the account and they blocked it. But that is not the end of it because he can create so many other accounts. He is already chatting with my brother in Germany, he is chatting with people in my contact telling them rubbish. So the guy, something is just wrong with him, he is just crazy.

After May Edochie had expressed her displeasure to NFF over the whole matter and how they have been framed up, her husband who was still angry at the unfolding situation, stood his ground on the effect of what the guy has done to his family.

Yul: Don’t mind him; he is trying to look for way to exonerate himself. I have sent his pictures to the Police, Immigration, I have sent it to Canada, I have investigators, I will track down that boy, bring him down here and lock him up. If I am lying against him like I have told you, I swear with my life, let me sleep this night and not wake up, but since that boy is trying to tarnish my image, God will fire him. I give him one week, that stupid boy will collapse. I will bring him down to Nigeria.

Hello, you are saying something sensitive, how will that be possible?
That is to show you how bad it is. If you are messing with me, I can forgive you but not when you are messing with my wife or my children. I give you documents that you want to use to give visa, you take my documents and post online, you are messing with my children and my family. Somebody like me, I have a reputation, I have a family, I have a name, I have my father’s name, so far, there hasn’t been something bad about me. If you come to my house, i will show you messages that this boy sent to me that he is going to destroy the good name I have, the messages are on my phone, if you come to my place, I will show you the messages. For me to speak like this you then you should know that it is not a joke.

Yesterday night, news broke out that 3 kids were kidnapped by their newly employed maid; late into the night, there were reports that the 3 kids who were kidnapped by the house help at Surulere were found in Shagamu area of Lagos.. Their distraught mum has dispelled the rumour and says there is no word yet on her kids (3 of them are pictured with her below.)..

She has four boys but the maid ran away with the youngest boys, Aderomola Orekoya, 11 months, Adedamola Orekoya, 4 years and Demola Orekoya, 6 yrs..

Never allow someone that you are dating to take over your entire being. What I mean is that he/she should not be the centre of your world because one day that your sweet loving guy or lady might turn out to be your worst nightmare.

A suspected internet fraudster, Dumi Osayemi, a.k.a Larry, is currently ruing his attempt to compromise operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

The 22-year-old, who was arrested following a tip-off about his suspicious flamboyant lifestyle, allegedly offered a N6, 900,000.00(Six Million Nine Hundred Thousand Naira) bribe to EFCC operatives so that he could be let off the hook.

At the time of his arrest, the following items were recovered from him: a 2011 C350 Mercedes Benz car and a Toyota Venza. The suspect is also said to own a tastefully furnished four-bedroom bungalow.

Osayemi, who claimed to be a ‘Yahoo Boy’, confessed to have duped one Stephanie, an
American lady, the sum of $75,000, with which he acquired some of the seized properties.

The suspect allegedly spoilt his girlfriend, Dorcas, and her mother, Rose, with his ill-gotten wealth.

The suspect will soon be arraigned in court..

There has been shock and fear ,over a strange baby born at a maternity centre (name withheld) situated at Ifosan area of Ilesa, in Osun State.
Speaking with Saturday Tribuneduring the visit on Thursday, the proprietress, (she is called matron by her staff) said the woman who gave birth to this deformed baby was “about 25 years old and she has been without a child for three years.”

She explained that
“this woman lives in one of the farm settlements on the outskirt of Ilesa. She registered for antenatal service here. So, when she wanted to put to bed, her relatives rushed her here to deliver the baby.

“But we were shocked to the marrow when she eventually delivered the baby with two horns on the head after going into labour for some hours. By the time she was delivered of the baby, it was already dead and we had to separate it from the placenta.

“I have never seen such a terrible creature in my life. So, we helped to pack the dead baby and the placenta and handed them over to them before they left our premises. It was indeed a fearful development and we were saddened about it.

“This is not something we can celebrate. So, I ordered by nurses and other attendants to keep their mouth shut over the incident. But, I am very surprised how you people got to know about it and came here to inquire about it. I do not want anyone to make something unnecessary out of this or create problems for us here,” she stated.She would not disclose the whereabouts of the woman who delivered the baby.

“I cannot give you any details about her. Like I told you, she lives in one of the farm settlements on the outskirts of Ilesa and I don’t really know the area and I want you to leave me out of this matter,” she added.

The woman who froze when she was shown the photographs of the baby, however, confirmed its genuineness but asked how Saturday Tribune got them. A staff member of the clinic also showed Saturday Tribune her own photos of the baby taken with her phone.

All efforts to locate the exact location of the baby’s mother and her identity were not successful.

A clearing and forwarding agent has been arrested by the police for allegedly defiling a seven-year-old girl, Deborah in Afromedia area of Okokomaiko, Lagos.

According to Crime Watch,The suspect, Uchenna aged 29, who is be­ing detained at the Okoko police station, has blamed his wife for his woes. Uchenna and the victim’s parents live in the same house on Surulere Street, Afromedia.Uchenna, who hails from Abia State said:

“If my wife has not kept the little girl under my care, the devil would not have pushed me to commit the dastardly act.
“My name is Uchenna, I am from Abia State, I am a clearing agent at Apapa Wharf. I woke up one morning, as I was about going to work, that was on January 28, 2015. My wife came in with the mother of the girl, the woman was telling my wife to help her look after the girl that she was going out. I told my wife that this is January, I don’t want trouble. I told her to send the girl back before I return from work.

When I returned, I still met my wife and the child. I asked her why she has not returned the girl to her parents? She said her mother was not yet back. After two days, I still saw the baby with my wife around 7pm, I sent my wife to buy something to cook and the little girl followed her, I thought that both would come back together, but only the child returned. I asked her who was pursuing her, because she ran into my room house and locked the door. I asked Deborah why she locked the door.

It was at that time I saw a woman pursuing her. I came out angrily and asked the woman what happened and she said Deborah stole her candies. I told her to come back and to inform my wife who brought her to my house. In the evening, my wife was preparing food outside, the child entered my room again. I asked my wife why she was still sending the child inside our house, my wife said she sent her to bring pep­per and salt.

My wife was cooking outside, and I was watching television when the girl climbed me again and said she wanted to take her bath, I told her to call my wife, who refused to come. She came back again and climbed me. I started thinking about what was happening; it was as if somebody sent her after me. As she was on top of my body, I begged Deborah to climb down, but before I knew what was happening, I had started touching her.

“My wife was cooking outside, but when she entered the house, she told me that something really happened in this house, I confessed to her that something happened, but it was the devil that pushed me.

“I am suspecting that my wife bewitched me. How did she know that something transpired between me and the little girl?” Uchenna said.

Eedris Abdulkareem has revealed he is strongly behind president Jonathan's second term bid and wants Buhari to pave way for the youth.He also opened up on his relationship with former president Obasanjo.Excerpts from his new interview with Encomium

What’s your current relationship with former President, Olusegun Obasanjo?

Obasanjo is my best friend and my mugu.

Can you expatiate more on what you meant by mugu?

What I’m saying is that when I came back from raising the Olympic touch, God inspired me to sing Nigeria JagaJaga. Luckily for me, the then president (Obasanjo) came on a national television, insulted my family and all sorts. Some people said the President might kill me, but I told them, “I’m not scared of anybody. I’m a muslim, I fear no one except Allah. I read my Quran.” So, I was happy that Obasanjo replied because his response brought food to my table. He made a superstar and elevated me above all my colleagues with his reactions to my song. That’s why I said he’s my mugu.

Why do you think Jonathan is the right choice?

First, everybody has a choice, but for me, Jonathan is my choice. For goodness sake, Buhari has ruled us before. He was the governor of North Eastern State (presently Yobe and Borno). He was also the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources when he was 32. He was also Chairman of NNPC at 36, and at 41, he became the head of state. What else does he want? We are tired of him. We want to move on. We want a young man like Jonathan. To me, the whole Boko Haram saga was created by some people to humiliate Jonathan so as to make him look like a fool. This propaganda doesn’t work anywhere. It’s only Jonathan that can save Nigeria if allowed for the second time.

There is speculation that you have collected huge sum of money from Jonathan to campaign for him, how true is it?

Collected? Do I need to collect money before showing support for president that meant good for this country? I didn’t collect any money, I have not even met the president. If I’m opportuned to meet him, I have one question to ask him, “Why did you say you don’t want to jail anybody, including the corrupt politicians?

On Thursday in Akure, Ondo State capital ,miscreants exchanged blows over the sharing formular to be adopted for the 11 cows crushed to death by a luxurious bus.

The accident, according to Sunday Vanguard investigation, occurred around 4am along the Akure-Owo expressway in Akure.

No death was recorded or any passenger wounded in the bus. But the sleep of many of them was disrupted following the accident.

Immediately the news of the accident filtered to the miscreants they mobilised themselves in their hundreds and the invaded the scene as early as 5am.

Armed with knives and cutlasses, the miscreants removed the dead cows before day break.
Argument about where it would be safe for them to carry the cows to for sharing reportedly caused confusion..


It was later agreed that it should be 12 to a cow and within few minutes they have divided themselves into groups and each group organised a vehicle to convey their own ‘loot’.
Sunday Vanguard gathered that fight broke out among the miscreants over how many people will share the cows and who should take which part of the animals.

Eyewitness account said that the luxurious bus, marked Anambra KPP 158XA, was coming from Abuja and heading for Lagos when the accident occurred at the Sebi Filling Station in Akure along the expressway.

Immediately the accident occurred, the herdsmen in charge of the cows reportedly fled into the bush for fear that they may be lynched.

It was gathered that two herdsmen were with the over 25 cows when the crash occurred.The younger herdsmen, it was learnt, had allowed the cows to cross the road without checking if it was cleared to do so. Also, the driver and passengers in the luxurious bus fled the scene thinking that the Fulani herdmen may mobilise to vent their anger on them.

It was learnt that the driver and the passengers had to hide inside the bush till day break.
Speaking with Sunday Vanguard, one of the passenger of the bus, Rosemary Nwachukwu, said the accident occurred at about 4am on Thursday.
She said many of the passengers were sleeping when the incident occurred.

“ When we suddenly saw cows on the expressway, many of us that were awake thought it was one of the antics of armed robbers.
“ We later learnt that it was not armed robbery attack but carelessness on the party of the herdsmen who crossed the cows without making sure that the expressway was free of vehicles”.

Sunday Vanguard gathered that the driver of the bus on sighting the cows crossing the road thought it was an armed robbery attack. He was said to have maneuvered the bus but the cows were too many on the expressway hence the number of the animals that were killed instantly.

The sound of the crash reportedly attracted the people living along the expressway to the scene.
Many of the cows were reportedly dragged off the expressway by travellers plying the road.
A police officer at the scene of the accident said it was discovered that the herdsmen caused the accident by making the cows to cross the expressway without checking if it was free or not.

Meanwhile, the police image maker in Ondo State, Wole Ogodo, said he was not aware of the crash.

Yvonne Nelson is an amazing person, but I would never ever in my life date or have anything to do with a female star. I am not cut out for that kind of drama.

A lot of people think that fame has altered your personality. Is this true?

People have the right to believe whatever they want to. There is nobody in this world that would attain this level of success and fame, and remain the same. My life has changed and I am not going to tell you otherwise. I am not Iyanya of eight years ago; I am more exposed and have more fans. You can’t compare the pressure that was on me in 2008 to the pressure on me now. For me to even have this level of sanity, I believe it is God’s grace and people should pray and support me instead of saying I have changed. You see me wearing nice suits but if I give a fan my life to live for a week, not everybody will agree to continue after a few days.

Why do you think so?

There is a lot of money but it comes with a lot of pressure. Imagine waking up to people being rude to you on social media. You wake up to curses because you tweeted that God just blessed you with a car, for instance.

But you show off on social media…

Sincerely, I don’t show off. Anybody that thinks I show off is suffering from inferiority complex. The only people that think I show off are those people that think they could be me or people who wish they could be close to me but can’t be. Maybe they like me too much and don’t want to agree they like me that much. These same people spend hours admiring the posts I put up.

What is the reason for putting up some of those pictures on Instagram and Twitter?

That is what social media is for. It is only in Nigeria that people have a problem with you posting pictures. While you are complaining that I am posting too many pictures, a true fan is admiring same and considers me as a mentor. Believe me, a lot of people think they know me, but they don’t.

Daily Independent reports that, the fake Savage, who is now on the run, duped the Aeroland boss of N500,000, as part-payment to perform at his political declaration party. The politician only realised he had been duped when the Kelekele Love singer did not show up for the event.

Presently, Aeroland is banking on the financial institution through which the money was paid to help get what is left of the amount, as a withdrawal has already occurred on the account.

Although there are some guys out there that don't care if they have a family or not. They live life as if they fell from the sky. They don't even know if they have Mum, Dad or siblings. All they care about is their self.

The sacrifice is just in circle. It goes on and on till a man gives up the ghost.

All these sacrifices we are making, we are doing it for the detriment of our own happiness. You'll deprive yourself good clothes, so that your wife, kids, parents and siblings can wear the best clothes in town.

You'll hardly go to an eatery to eat lunch because you want your family to feed well.
