Never knew snakes lay up eggs. One bros once told me dat all snakes die during child birth. I asked y?.. He said dat the babies would pierce the sides of the mother to come when she is giving birth. As a result she will automatically die. Thank God for this thread, dat error has bin corrected. God bless u op.

there are some species of snake which undergo that kind of child birth, so your formal belief is not completely wrong....some lay eggs, while some act like you said!

Education / JAMB2016: I Was Asked To Pay 1000 Naira In My UTME Venue by Jboyossai(m): 2:26pm On Mar 12, 2016
8th March, 2016 was my UTME date. Although I am already a student of Abia State University Uturu. I was given biochemistry to study instead of my dream course medicine and surgery which I applied for.

So I decided to take JAMB this year and change to medicine and surgery. This would be my 3rd time of writing UTME. In 2014 I scored 218, 2015 I scored 219 in UTME. Like always, I had no intention of involving in any form of malpractice the examination.

But to my greatest surprise when I got to my exam venue at “jet age private school Obingwa” in Aba Abia state, I was told to pay 1000 Naira before I could be allowed through the gate. I refused and pleaded wit them to let me in, but they refused and wasted my 1hr before they allowed me because I didn’t pay them the gate fee.

Please my question is this? Is it that jamb don’t give money to centers for maintenance or what? After suffering and frustrating me, I ended up scoring 210 in UTME I prepared very well to smash.

I think Nigeria is now highly corrupt from the root level. Inside the UTME hall, a student will thumb print and a full grown teacher will enter and sit for him/her inside exam hall.

After all said and done, JAMB will claim malpractice free when am sure that this CBT newly introduced exam pattern is 100% malpractice guaranteed… please jamb should look into this matter and find a solution to this….

Education / JAMB Score CAN NEVER Be Upgraded, Beware Of Fraudsters by Jboyossai(m): 4:49pm On Mar 08, 2016
As many candidates continue to show displeasure over their poor UTMEresults, some fraudsters have taken advantage of this to defraud the gullible ones in the name of “JAMB Result Upgrading.”
We want to state emphatically here that there is nothing like result upgrading as far as we know.
Anyone parading as a JAMB official or whoever asking you to contact him/her for “JAMB Result Upgrading” or any assistance as regards your UTME Result is nothing but a fraudster.
We wish to advise candidates to beware of such people as you will have yourself to blame at the end of it all. They are all over the internet and bear ridiculous names to grab the attention of undiscerning minds.
Do not fall victim to their scam. You will only end up loosing both ways.
If you feel your JAMB score may not get you admission into your school of choice, you can go for JAMB Change of Course and Institution which will be available soon or better still consider other favorable options which we will unveil in due course.
Please note that you can start printing your Original JAMB Result Slip to get your final UTME official score.

Education / Man Arrested For Impersonation In The Ongoing 2016 UTME by Jboyossai(m): 3:39pm On Mar 03, 2016
A man has been arrested in connection with impersonation in the ongoing Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination Conducted by JAMB.

According to reports, the man was caught attempting to sit for the examination for a girl.

While speaking on the issue of impersonation, the JAMB Registrar, Professor Dibu Ojerinde, said that the issue of malpractice has been drastically reduced. However impersonation is still a major problem.

“people want to come in and do the exams for others. However, the fingerprints of candidates are scanned at the entrance and their pictures appear on the computer and you can’t escape that. We caught some impersonators in Anambra or Imo State. They swapped seats, we saw a girl on the screen and a man sitting.” He said.

Stop mis-leadinq innocent students..notin like anti-guessing software or negative marking in jamb .. Im a witness ..i wrote mine yesterday and im glad i made 216.. Writing jamb requires a strategy ..
My strategy was starting with the easiest subject to the hardest one .. I started with english(i got 70 in english),chemistry(got 52),physics(got 52) and maths(got 42) ..
And another important trick is to solve all the questions u r familiar with in a ll 4 subjects.then go back and start guessing the rest. It worked for me ..might work for some people out there..

Education / Senate Reduces Cost Of JAMB Form, Extends UTME Result Validity by Jboyossai(m): 8:15pm On Mar 02, 2016
Report reaching us has it that the senate has passed a resolution which stipulates that the registration fee for Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination conducted by JAMB yearly will henceforth stand at Two Thousand, Five Hundred Naira (2,500) as against the current Five Thousand six hundred and fifty Naira (5,650)

This followed the adoption of the report of the Senate Committee on Tertiary Institutions and TETFund on the inquiry into the new JAMB admission policy.

Other resolutions reached include that the validity of the UTME Result be extended to three academic sessions and that other JAMB services like the change of Course and institution be made free.

The senators also resolved to amend the JAMB Act to reflect the new resolutions.

The question now is; will JAMB be willing to comply with these resolutions. So while we commend the senate for these resolutions, we equally urge them to ensure that JAMB implement them because that's what truly matters.
