How much is the scanner please?

I'm still researching a good one for my car. So I can't give u an intelligent answer on that.

I know there are Bluetooth obd2 scanners and some scanners are within 10k-30k. Dunno

Thanks bro. I really appreciate.

Just remembered this. A known person here on nairaland adviced me to get an obd2 car scanner while I was expecting the car.

The mechanic said same thing. So I'd suggest you do same. It will always come in handy. Cheers on your new ride.

Thank you so much.
I got a 2005 model t30. Am presently using 2007 honda Accord. Got the xtrail because I believe is cheap and because of the bad roads around my side. Please where you based and do you have a trusted mechanic? Minus the regular servicing, did you change the gear oil?

It's my pleasure. Yes the xtrail is pocket friendly and would give the needed ground clearance. In fact one of my regular routes is really very bad and that was also one of d reasons I opted for a Cuv.

I'm based in Lagos. I really don't trust mechanics. I had my own mechanic before. But then an elder bros referred me to another who seemed very truthful, knows what he is doing, and affordable. Infact with his help I was able to do so much and he seems sincere. But it's too early to start concluding, you know how our people are.

But he had a solid reference from my bros anyways. I didn't change the gear oil ó. Twas okay and he told me not to bother about it after checking.

Hi jceal, my email is bad. Can we talk here?

Good morning gloryon. Congrats on your ride in advance.

Mine is a 2006 xtrail. It has been a lovely ride all the way. I was torn between so many choices before finally settling for the xtrail. I had considered several cuvs and sedans.. But then after a lot of asking around from folks here on nairaland, reading so many reviews online, comparing it with some of my earlier choices and talking to someone I know that drives it here in Nigeria. I settled for the xtrail.

It's less than 3 weeks old, so my review would be concise. Based on research I did, and based on my little experience of use. It is a fine crossover with good handling. I love the response when you accelerate, of course it's a 2.5l 4cyl engine with 165hp. Same as the engine on the altima.

The fuel consumption is fine. Infact one of the people I spoke with said he uses 10litres for a 100km journey. I'm not big on fuel consumption, so I haven't taking time to study that in details. But I can assure you, it's really good fuel consumption wise.

I also discovered it has ample space at the trunk for hauling stuffs. It is a perfect practical vehicle.

When it came I had to check the suspension parts and all. My technician says some of the suspension parts may be slightly more expensive than regular parts, but it wouldn't break down ever so often.

Lastly, the recommended engine oil weight is 5w30. I chose mobile 1. Nissan AT-Matic D Fluid or Dexron III fluid for re4f04b transmission fluid change, with 9qts dry fill capacity. Also, I guess I read somewhere on a review thread that it does 22mpg city, 29mpg highway and 26mpg combined.

I used few cars before now, and I just need something simple to take myself and the family through our daily running. I will say I'm satisfied.

Disclaimer: I'm not a car reviewer or technician like the likes of the greats on nairaland. So my review is strictly based on personal experience, other people's experience. and other studies
online. Congrats again.

Thanks to Amdman for walking me through the purchase and delivery of this ride. Even without being there to inspect physically. His thoughts/advice on the health of the car has proven valuable. Everyone who has seen the car have been in wow-mode. Amdman kudos!

Also, many thanks to amdman's team, they were very helpful, assisting with the pick up and all. I was most impressed with the way they handled business. Consumer experience is satisfactory. I took delivery of the car this morning. Car runs wonderfully, engine purring like a kitten, aircon blowing super cold, most of tires are okay, and overall car is very neat. Car stand gidigba for ground.

Thanks to everyone who influenced my choice. Mk82, thanks for referring me to this thread in the first place, for every support now and always.
Nurey, thanks for your thoughts on each car I had considered.
Dipzz, thanks for the bants and all. They were fun and were real. Oluoxide2 and yehmy you guys are gems. Thanks.

#fromviewertobuyer.
I spent almost a year window shopping. Now I'm a proud PRICARS customer. Lolz we need PRICARS sticker abeg amdman. Now let me goan sleep in my car for the next one week. Thanks y'all.
PS. Proper photoshoot will be after trip to car wash.

Acidosis:

These same traders are the ones electing bad and wicked leaders in Nigeria.

This explains the reason some politicians fail woefully on online polls (especially Twitter) and then go out there to win elections with palliatives (garri, noodles, etc.)

Poverty and illiteracy will continue to be a challenge in Nigeria.

You are right. It is a story of what goes around comes around. People elect the wrong persons to office, and then they cry when they start dancing to the repercussions.

We hear. Most of the folks taking the brunt for the effects of the lockdown are not on Twitter and Facebook. These are traders, daily earners whose livelihood hinges on their ability to work from time to time. Daily labour.

The only time locking down the economy will make sense is when the government can adequately sustain its citizens. If not, one thing must kill a man. It's either a man is killed by the virus or by hunger. I'd bet most people affected will take their chances with covid 19.

Very true. The cost saving of circa 300k justifies even a 3 month wait. Amdman is doing a good job.

He is. Kudos to him.

How was the payment plan, meanwhile, if you dont mind?

Payment plan.. Amdman is in the best position to answer that. You know circumstances and policies change per time, and I wouldn't want to be quoted in the future. Notwithstanding, he is very reasonable. Discuss with him.
