Seun:
This is stupid. I hope it doesn't affect Nairaland. The #ShutDownNigeria people don't have a very deep understanding of how an economy works. The vast majority of business activities in a developing country like Nigeria are essential. Very few people going to Lagos just for fun. Our leaders think that shutting things down is a viable alternative to massive testing and isolation of those who test positive, and we are cheering them on. There is no quick fix to the Coronavirus. There is no alternative to massive testing, isolation and contact tracing. We have to use our brains.

To be shutting down a country to stop a virus is like shooting a man dead to kill the sickness in his body. Does it work? Yes. But it's also stupid. I say instead of that, find a drug that targets the sickness in his body and kills it without killing the man. That's the only real solution to this issue.

Very true. I have reservations about shutting everything down. Our economy will suffer more for it.

Good evening guys.

I am a newbie to kindle publishing though I have read some of the trend and I have decided to go into this business.

my question now is that to I have set up my account but am stuck at updating my payment details.

will I have to add any US tax detail since am not a citizen, how will I go about this?

Fill in ur Nigerian address and skip the tax identification number section. Nigeria doesn't have a tax treaty with the US, so 30% of your earnings will be deducted per payment

Yenefer:

This whole coronahoax is just a test run to see what they can get away with. Judging by the peoples reactions so far....the deep state has us by the short and curlies. And they know it.

That is precisely what all of us should be thinking. Coronavirus isn't what it seems; the timing is too convenient and the numbers don't wash. Follow the timeline, the locations, places most affected, and you'll start to see the picture. Some of it is connected to the Epstein/Weinstein/Clinton/Winfrey (YES! WINFREY) sex-trafficking ring. Weinstein was recently sentenced to 55 years for perving on CONSENTING women and his sentence was reduced to 23 years as the result of a plea deal. Following his sentencing, several billionaire CEO's have resigned and multiple celebrities and politicians have suddenly "contracted the virus." There will be more resignations, more sudden (and convenient) celebrity/politician infections in an effort to save face. 600 people were recently arrested in a sex trafficking/corruption investigation that has spanned nearly 20 years. On the other side of the coin, the data doesn't add up. We have no way to confirm the number of infections and deaths the media is reporting. Just as China has completely manufactured the nature of the virus and their recovery, the government and media are deliberately fabricating the number of infections and deaths to push for a "vaccine" that will actually cause more sickness and death than their supposed virus (which wasn't a virus). Understand this: the vaccine is the actual goal, not curbing the virus. The media is deliberately strewing the data and drumming up public hysteria to push this goal forward. Do some research on 5G frequencies and their effect on the human body, and you'll see China's "virus." Wake up, people. We are witnessing one of the largest scale False Flag psy-ops we've seen in decades. More than 50,000 die from influenza each year and the media is completely silent yet, the entire nation is facing imminent lockdown and the media is pimping hysteria non-stop over a virus with a 98% recovery rate, with zero evidence to support their data. If you're not smelling something fishy by now, you need your heads examined. Stop listening to the media. Turn off your tv, put down the phone, and stop falling for the lie we're being fed. It's NOT a pandemic!

Someone is actually speaking my mind. Esp the part with the media fueling hysteria. And 98% recovery.. So true. World economy is plummeting as the news keep spreading. and things are not just adding up. NB I'm not undermining the seriousness of the virus. But it's looking like the boy who cried wolf.

Boss, you don talk am finish. I love your analysis. Well detailed. Indeed, even if it's 500k traded off between the affordable luxury models and the Corolla, it's better to buy that comfort and luxury.
The Corolla is overrated, in my opinion, and even the 300k+ difference, as analyzed, in its favor is simply because it is in high demand. The car shouldn't be more than N1.2million, like most of the cars in its category, going by @amdman's fair TLC prices .
The Corolla's high demand is fuelled by the fuel efficiency stereotype. And, with more users of a car model, comes availability of replacement parts in the spares market. It's not rocket science, just demand and supply.

The Toyota Prius model remains the most fuel efficient Toyota of all time, year-on-year. Yet, you won't see many of it on Nigeria's roads. Why? If Nigerians love fuel efficiency so much, why aren't they buying the Toyota Prius?

In my opinion, the Corolla-or-nothing mentality is poverty-induced. Some people are not poor, but they are also cautious about displaying any signs of (enjoying) wealth. They can afford a 2010 Camry Hybrid with thumbstart ignition (which has similar or better fuel efficiency than the 2003-2007 Corolla), but they're afraid to spend or enjoy money or look rich, not just for family or friends that may come to them with financial requests, not because of 'village people', but because they have a poverty mentality. 'Shebi car is car. Make e just carry us from point A to B', they say. They're afraid that the money will finish soon, or that they will die sooner than later, because they 'dared to enjoy life'. Nobody is pursuing them, they're the ones, deliberately, limiting themselves.
When you, eventually, realize that this life is actually too short to make shitty Corolla choices, you'd adjust your mentality, and buy what you know that you'd love driving, a car model you'd love to be seen in/that can go places, and can still afford to maintain. No be say you go buy your Corolla kon dey admire person wey dey drive Nissan Rouge, Infiniti, Honda Pilot, Ford Edge, Acura MDX, Honda CrossTour and the likes, and you still need to park your Corolla some miles away from an event, make e no be like say na Uber you carry come. People don't even desire to take pictures in/with your car. Because.... Fuel efficiency and spare parts. LMAO. grin cheesy

Eleda mi o ni je ki n make stupid choices, laye mi. Are. Amin. Amen. wink cheesy grin

You can use high definition images from Google, avoid any image that is embossed with a signature (watermark). Trim or crop off well so that it hardly resembles the original... And continue from there. Note: you need to download high resolution pictures.
