This is the throne God will sit upon when he makes the final judgement over all. Lucifer was not perfect and became jealous of God and desired to place his throne above God’s. He recruited 1/3 of the angels in heaven to join him and wage war against God. He was defeated and cast down to the Earth with his followers, hence one of his names is the Prince of the Air.
Lucifer is more powerful than any of the archangels. IN revelations it takes all four to bend him and toss him into the bottomless pit for Christ’s thousand year reign on Earth.

The God in that story is all powerful … so any conflict between God and anybody would be pretty one-sided.
Lucifer seems to keep thinking that he can win though … funny that, you’d think he’d be one of the few beings with absolute certainty of the power of God.
It can be tricky to keep straight, because Jacob apparently wins a wrestling match against god in gen 32.
