You could use vitalcheck website for expedited service. Mine was ready in 8 days. Theres a website for El Paso birth records. U can Google "epcounty birth records". I kept checking it daily after delivery and once I saw my baby's name had been registered there, I went in person to pick it up same day for $23.

@Oyin3 thanks to @Dentale, this is exactly what we do here in El paso. I have been checking the website everyday for my Baby's name to come out.

Nigerian drivers license, but getting the int'l drivers license won't be bad.

Hi JDQueen, congrats on the arrival of ur baby. Pls I will be going to elpaso by first wk of December. I intend using his grace lodge too. Culd u pls share ur experience there? How far is it from doctor's office and shopping malls and how easy and cheap was it navigating round town? Also,for baby's documentation,how fast is the processing? Waiting to hear from you. Very kool place to stay, just like home. Not too far to the hospital and shopping centers. I can't say of the distance to the doctor's place because we all have diff doctors assigned to us. Getting baby's documentation can be fast when expedited, when you come around u'll guided. You can come with a valid drivers license, there's an available car you can take out once in a while. All the best.

Good day great mama's N papa's. My princess arrived on the 28th of October via unplanned Cs due to accelerated BP of over 160/90. Was in labor for about 3days and didn't go pass 5cm despite been induced and water broke on the 27th still didn't go pass 5cm. Cs was finally carried out and baby came at exactly 2.56am on the 28th. Mother and Baby doing great in Elpaso. Going to maryland next week after picking up Baby's Birth certificate.

Wish all pushing mama's and carrying father's safe delivery.

It's hot during the day, it's been between 75 to 80 degrees. And a bit cold at night about 60 degrees.

Good day every one. Got into the US on the 8th through JFK, POE was smooth. Flew Air France, I requested for wheel chair. Am now in El paso.

My Transcript:

CBP: How long are you staying?
Me: 8weeks.

CBP: How much are you here with?
Me: $5689

CBP: Are you here to visit a family?
Me: No.

CBP: So what are you here for?
Me: Child birth.

CBP: Sorry I don't get you, what do you mean by that?
Me: Am here to have my baby.

CBP: Wow, I have never heard someone say that, that's so bold of you to say. I like that.
Me: thank you.

CBP: (types on the system for long, stamps my passport)

CBP: Why where you denied visa the first time?
Me: I don't know, I applied with my husband.

CBP: Nods head, that's ok (signed my passport) Enjoy your stay.

I was stamped in for 6months till April.
No secondary inspection or Agriculture checking.

Wish every expecting mum safe delivery and pray visa approvals for those yet to get 1 and wonderful POE for those coming in soon.

Thank God I stumbled on this thread. Someone advised me to be taking pineapple but for one reason or the other it became really scarce in my area, even DH couldn't get it. Thank God for God may be I for don born before my due date.

It's so easy to read POE feedback but to write am na serious work. Arrived El paso 11:30pm on wednesday and I am still jetlagged. I shall come and give my full POE (Houston) and trip feedback once I have rested.

Good morning all, thanks to this wonderful forum that added to my knowledge. I had my interview yesterday sep 2nd in Lagos 8.30am batch and my visa was approved by a Lady V.O in box 1. Transcript goes thus;

V.O: Good a.m
Me: Good a.m

V.O: Can I have your passport please?
Me: Passed it across

V.O: Typed on the system to open my profile and checked through my passports (2 attached)

V.O: Please place 4 left finger....., 4 right fingers.........

V:O: What are going for in the US?
Me: Child Birth

V.O: Which State are you going to?
Me: El paso, Texas

V.O: Have you contacted a doctor?
Me: Yes, passed Doctores para Ti correspondence across

V.O: Went through the pages, How much does it cost?
Me: About $12,000, passed the Budget Sheet across (showing $11,677 for the budget and about $10,000 for excess budget and capturing the amount on the 2 statement of account I went with).

V.O: Are you Married?
Me: Yes

V.O: Went through the Budget Sheet, How are you going to pay?
Me: Cash

V.O: Can I see a receipt for the payment?
Me: Am yet to pay the fee till get to the hospital, I have only Paid $250 for the enrollment fee and the paypal receipt is attached to the correspondence with you.

V.O: Checked through the correspondence again and looked at the paid receipt, typed into the system.

V.O: Can I see like a statement of account?
Me: passed 2 statement but only picked 1 (Hubby n I statement).

V.O: compared statement with budget sheet.

V.O: What do you do?
Me: I work as....... in...... company

V.O: Where does your husband work?
Me: ........company as.......in......department.

V.O: Have you traveled out of the country before?
Me: Yes, Uk severally, Dubai twice, Spain, France, Germany, South Africa, Ghana, Togo, Benin Republic... (wanted to say coutono sef)

V.O: cuts in, Have you contacted the doctor personally.
Me: No, Only got my hospital appointment mail from her.

V.O: Typed into the system.....

V.O: your Visa has been approved, passed white paper with where to pick up visa. (I quickly picked the paper Bfr she changes her mind)

V.O: Make sure you contact the Doctor personally because a lot of people always have issues with Doctores Parati Ti doctors when they get to the us.
Me: Ok, I will, Thank you.

Am Oct/Nov mum, leaving for El paso 2nd week of October through Houston. Still don't know which accommodation to use. I want to get a walk able distance to the hospital

All glory and thanks to God and my Hubby who stood by me and made sure I re applied alone cos I had lost hope when hubby and I were denied in march for Vacation.
