@op: on a lighter note, her husband gave her 5k, you spent 3k what happened to the 2k, or is it 1900k balance, did she issue him a refund or you charged consulting fee, while she pocket the rest? 😀
At the post above, you mention, all the above quantitative aspects which looks good on paper or on the pages of an online forum, however, can these be tracked or measured in the same way qualitatively? If with all the above, majority still have to manage, cutting their expenses, for feeding here and there (in this case, less than U$D4) then your justifications for this government, matter of fact, it's predecessors and speculatively, any incoming one after this, is massively misguided.

Now, the reasons for every Nigerian Government's historic, present failure is the same: before ascension, they campaign extensively, criticize the incumbent, run from north to south portraying why your candidature would be better than the one "in power", embark on media spinning of feeding/serving/seating with the masses etc, only to get there, and realize, one does not have a clue about running the government, especially from a bottom-up, people-development approach, and so they take the easy way out, that is, to spend more money, setting up institutions(like the ones you listed) that have no impact on the welfare of yhe common people. While also, trying to save face, they run to supposed "developed countries" for 'expert' knowledge on how to be like Oyinbo countries. Sadly, so called "experts" (IMF, World Bank, WHO, Gates Foundation, USA, Britain, France, China, Russia etc) our politicians run to, will not admit, that their systems are no longer working, rather they offer us policies, and funding for stuff they know no longer works, will not work for us, even policies they have not tried, for us to experiment, so they can learn from the problems caused, what to do and what not to do.

In concluding, no Nigerian Leader (who on the ascension of office, the first thing he/she does in the first 24 months, keeps going abroad, courting Western alliances) will ever have any progress come to the masses eventually. If in doubt, look at all leaders since 99, the current one, being a prime example, who's major ambition is to Westernize Nigeria (Taxing everything, NIN etc) to the extent that there is nothing indigenously organic and governance sustaining; our traditional systems are being massively truncated, the masses are so hungry and despondent, we are now feeding on ourselves (kidnapping, violence, no value for human life etc). One unanimous or is it majority fact is THIS GOVERNMENT HAS NOT MADE LIFE EASIER FOR ANYBODY. Shikena
PoliticsRe: Davido Appointed Youth Mobilization Lead For Osun Governorship Campaign by JediB(f): 9:52am On Apr 24
"Youth Mobilization what?" - please, beyond music, cultism, barely making it out of college, string after string of infidelity, an inability to coherently communicate ideas verbally, ehn! my family this, my family that!, yada, yada, yada - what progressive effort has the guy Davido (single concert he has not brought to OAU or EdePoly) individually brought to the State as a whole? The family are not even "pure" Omoluabi.

A most worrying aspect about it all is, how the seemingly best of the Adelekes', that is, Davido's Father, who is referred to as the Baba Olowo, (please somebody point us to a resource or address, perhaps even two offices, websites or factories, similar to that of the Okoyas, Dangote, etc, in Nigeria telling us clearly what the Adelekes do or how they make their so called money) who arguably is the most remarkable, most successful...is not the one running for Governor or in politics. Rather, we have their 'worst", unarguably relatively unknown ' Demola, the little to no recorded personal achievement beyond dancing Jackson, the certificate forging Uncle Demola etc being pulled up to be in Politics.Anyways, maybe the dude is expendable or good at being a front, eith4r way, here is another illegal illegitimate way to siphon funds Osun State does not have to ensure the Adeleke family business running the state continues.

PoliticsRe: Properties Of Former Governor Alao-Akala Under Litigation by JediB(f): 6:01pm On Mar 21
When one hears stories like this, first one wonders which of these were his, acquired honestly without any shady political muscle or dealing. One wonders, what informed such dependence on material acquisition to the extent of such massive collection of properties here and there. No man can be in two places at once, neither can people be trusted to be loyal whether one is alive, talk less of when dead:
Perhaps, he had seen so much poverty in his formative years, he had erroneously believed material possessions keep poverty at bay.
Perhaps, he was thinking my children will never have to suffer like I did - he, never allowing the thought that such children may not want the burden of property management (especially that not earned with one's hands) and so, selling would eventually be the outcome.
Perhaps, he was showed the level of theft by his predecessors and felt he had to at least match if they cannot be outmatched.
The reasoning may be more. Howbeit, the lesson for us who are still joined to the living on earth is:
Nothing we earn, take, establish, plan, accomplish, pass on etc will go with us, will save us nor will quench our soul's thirst for peace while in this mortal, fallen body. While here, the purpose is to unburden one's soul as much as one can, live simply, devise and continue to work one's extrication from material things - a life so detached (although living within it) that whether one gets or loses it, one is not chained. Men who live contrary, never truly, rest in peace.
It's a shame
Christianity EtcRe: Daniel's Rejection Of The King's Food And Wine by JediB(f): 12:43pm On Mar 08
Interesting viewpoint. Permit me to add 2 'lil' cents: Did Daniel and the other three boys choose to be in Babylon? Was their being in Babylon a matter of choice (Japa) or forced ?
The answer is No. They did not choose Babylon. Their kings and the people had forsaken The God of their fathers and after a long period of long-suffering their defilement of the land he gave them, he gave them up to Babylon as rightly foretold by prophets.

Daniel and the other three were not random, Dan 1:3 described them as "... certain of the children of Israel, and of the king's seed, and of the princes; 4 Children in whom was no blemish, but well favoured, and skilful in all wisdom, and cunning in knowledge, and understanding science, and such as had ability in them to stand in the king's palace..."; their selection was also to the Babylonian purpose: "...whom they might teach the learning and the tongue of the Chaldeans". This suggests to us that the four boys had potential, not only that, they were not the only Hebrew boys selected, there were other Hebrew boys; to have been selected amongst the many Hebrew boys captured and took into Babylon, they were lucky (Very rarely does a slave make it to the palace talk less of being offered king's meat) Now, this is where the Hebrew boys stood out:
Knowledge:
They knew Babylon was not God's will for them, that it was a result of disobedience. Now rather than say or assume, God's favor let them be chosen and begin to behave anyhow, they attributed the grace of the Babylonians to God and purposed in their heart to align with The Lord, regardless of the fact that they were in Babylon.
They knew that a man is what he eats: once you start eating something, your objectivity, the ability to see it as it is, without sentiment, orbias is hampered. This knowledge also informed by scriptures, that "Covenant" men shall not 'live' by bread alone. They knew that their survival, success and spiritual significance to God in Babylon was dependent on what they ate. Thus, they purposed meaning "their use, functionality" in Babylon was to remain undefiled by Babylon thereby remaining sanctified To The Lord.

Consequently, The Lord proved His faithfulness, showing to them and all of us reading about them now, that His Presence, Hands and Faithfulness is everywhere, and in all situations to and for those committed to Him. That if we daily refuse Babylon and it's King's meat (note it is earthly wise very, very expensive) despite how hard it is to do so, He will reward us, mostly in unexpected ways. The evidence of this is seen not only in their ten times being better, but also their not being consumed by the fire, the lions mouths being sealed shut, surviving Babylon even after it's conquest etc

Today, Babylon and it's king's meat - anything outside God and His Word is everywhere. 9n the internet, in the modern church, schools, in business, at work, in Government, worldwide...some are obvious, others are subtle. Without The Holy Spirit, one is taken and when one has eaten it, laid claim(s) to it, even built a life in, on and about it, to refuse to bow down to the King's graven image (they are everywhere and in many forms) has led many to being thrown into fiery fires and den of lions where sadly, and against God's will, such were, sadly consumed. (May This never be our end deliberately in Jesus Christ's Name)

But wait o, was the appeal free of charge? Please let us focus also on FIFA's return of the CHF3000 and other 'expenses' minus their administrative fees, the NFA spent on this wild goose chase. Such funds should not just disappear o! Who knows, maybe the whole attempt was just a smoke screen to siphon funds knowing fully well it would not be successful, Nigerian fans would be distracted and the NFA officials will silently 'appropriate' the money

From the post and comments, an area of consensus is, first aid is critical to fatality. Therefore, any serious talk on addressing this increasing problem should be towards having at least, a nail paint size of anti-venom included in every first-aid kit, available with a Doctor's approval (to prevent abuse), especially for those living in forest prone or snake prevalent areas, at every pharmacy or general hospital nationwide.
PoliticsRe: Who Would You Vote Among These Presidential Candidates If Presented And Why? by JediB(f): 9:10pm On Feb 02
None.
They are all the same. BAT is more stable in that he is not cross carpeting and jumping from party to party.
Moreso, and let us note carefully, nobody will ever get to be President of Nigeria without a promise to be a fulltime Western world lackey. Your ability to promise and convince the Western world of your total commitment to ensuring their policies are not threatened or destabilized if made President guarantees you will win. This is the fact, not any amount of votes or preferred popularity. Those are just a charade and a waste of the masses' hopes and aspirations. Just imagine the incumbent BAT introducing social insurance numbers and everyone reporting or filing taxes. In what kind of system? A poor system where over 80 percent are struggling everyday. Where the Government has little to no effective welfare system? A society built mainly on consumption and little production. When one looks at BAT's policies all we see is an ambition to make Nigeria look like the Western world, adopting all their policies without deep considerations for the local abd cultural systems of our people. Nigeria is unique, although in Africa, we are different, although we speak English, we are culturally different from the British and Americans. As such, taking their institutions and dumping it hook line and sinker on Nigerians is tantamount to putting split AC, SMART TVs, Cctv on a mud house. The funds in maintaining these alone will eat away at the livelihood of its occupants and eventually end up a waste.

Come abroad and see how these policies are a mess. Yes, from an outside-looking-in position, all is looking honky dory and appears working and comparatively far better than what Nigeria has (in terms of functionality of their systems). But when you're in you realize, how complicated it really is from within. You earn, they determine what you pay in taxes and take it ever before it gets to you. Then comes tax season, they say you owe them. How can I owe you, when you determined what I got all through? If the Western systems work why do they need more immigrants to come work and be taxed to fund oyinbos (natural born citizens).

On a parting note, if you vote for any of these and within their first 3 years in office, they start jumping from country to country, taking photos with foreign, especially Western Presidents, then know that such a person never had any real plans for developing the country. Just a same ol same ol. To buttress this, please evaluate each President Nigeria has had since 1999, their record of travels and how the Nation was left on their exit from office.

This guy is one helluva lucky guy. The jazz no work...his eyes opened and once it is seen, it cannot be hidden anymore. He or his ancestors must have been cooked and the "cooking" strong for the bloodline. This is why you will never catch some folks drink, talk less of eat outside or anywhere.
If you are still eating strangely/outside/anyhow these days, you are doing yourself a huge disfavour. With the way the economy and even the world as a whole is going, nothing, no one, especially when it comes to food can be trusted. You go eat in a buka, and you don't see a live cow/goat/chicken etc tied down / being slaughtered and you order shaking, ponmo, assorted etc hmnnn...when people are being recklessly fetish or being kidnapped anyhow; or you attend an event (birthday especially a rich old man, wedding, house warming etc) and you see them invite crowd and you too do "I hear, I branch", won chop anyhow...folks let us be mindful...nowadays the water used to cook the food na from spiritual bath; in some others it is a sacrifice net, for as many that eat, at least one must be a suitable sacrifice..."He who has an ear, Let him hear"
PoliticsRe: Channels TV Crew: Oluremi Tinubu Dropped The Ball, Should Apologise To Adeleke by JediB(f): 10:46pm On Dec 10, 2025
First of all, the dancing Governor should have let his wife or deputy Governor attend the event or receive Remi Tinubu. After all, she is not an elected political or Government official. What reception or speech was he, the Governor going to give her, that his wife or Deputy could not have done? There is no doubt, the Governor's gimmick of trying to woo the wife as a way of getting BAT's good graces backfired. Matter of fact, Remi's behavior only oozes the deep lack of respect she has for the man. Her insulting him in such a way, calls to question if truly the Governor's wife loves him and respect him at home - No wife will allow another woman disrespect her husband and not address it instantly.
PoliticsRe: US Congressman Bill Huizenga Fights Back Tears Over Killings In Nigeria by JediB(f): 11:37pm On Nov 20, 2025
Hmnnn! Confused American politician! with American Propaganda at its ugliest finest!!
The reality here and which everyone should objectively address is "Why are humans (supposed muslims) killing and kidnapping other humans (supposed christians)? Making it out to be a Muslim killing Christian issue is propaganda with a sinister hidden agenda.
In America alone, and on a daily basis, a human is killed by another human. If not killed, maimed for life, incarcerated or pauperized, especially non-white humans. The human killing the other human comes under different terms, white kills black and vice versa, man kills woman, woman unalives man, cop(s) shoot(s) and kill(s) civilian(S), Isreal bombs Palestinians with human fatalities on both sides etc
Why then, would these human realities in your own country be there and then leave it and make Nigeria's own, which is of no direct concern to the US, something to focus on in your legislative assembly? It just does not make sense. If the Muslim-Muslim Government is the problem, then come out publicly and tell Nigeria to fix it in the next elections. Not harp on the half truth or call out the aspect that appeals to your agenda only.

As for those backing America(especially of the Igbo extraction) we see all you're doing and support your clamour for Biafra. Don't worry. Just start packing and preparing. The Balkanization of Nigeria, most of you are calling for with shallow, attimes thoughtless comments on social media, will come to pass. It is long over due and since you cannot do it yourselves, your oyinbo "gods" will come and do it for you. Just note that, no where America has been, is left better than it originally was before they came. Also, when that time comes, everyone MUST return to their ancestral origins and build their "country" from there. One cannot help an Enemy destroy a place and expect to remain in that place peacefully when the deed is done. #IgbosAreTiredOfNigeria? #EvenNigeriaIsTiredOfIgbo #DivorceStrangeBedFellowsWithoutBloodshed

Christianity EtcRe: The Singles Connect Conference By Pastor Bolaji Idowu (Pictures) by JediB(f): 7:20pm On Oct 03, 2025
Attending a conference is one thing, being led by The Holy Spirit, to the one who will notice, stay, court, marry and grow old with is another thing entirely. Leah (who was reported weak eyed) married Jacob, Mary (mother of our Lord Jesus Christ) married Joseph, an older man btw; Rebecca, Isaac; Rachel, Jacob; Esther, Mordecai; , Ruth, Naomi etc...all these were initially not special, they had one thing in common, one thing that eventually made them seen, sorted, selected and settled - They were not exposed, each had a guardian, a higher "cover" that showed and helped them get and remain in the city. These "cover" included Father/Mother in law/ Brother/ Uncle etc who they either lived with, were close to or who they never left or played with.
One hopes these potential wives are not just, after the conference, left to continue as they came. That would be a shame!

PressMyButton:
I wasn't surprised to read from someone with a shallow brain ascribing the evacuation of Nigerians abroad to Mrs Abike. You wonder if the minister of foreign affairs & the Ambassador to the affected country were appointed for a tea party.
"...a shallow brain"huh shocked. ..that was uncalled for...normally I would let that slide but then I remembered that we are to answer a fool (yes, you @pressmybutton)according to his/her folly, lest he/she thinks he/she is wise. Is Dabiri no longer responsible for Nigerians in Diaspora? Or these stranded Nigerians are not in diaspora?
Also since the so called political settlement or appointment of Dabiri to that agency, what progress or improvements has there been at Nigerian embassies worldwide, beyond passport and visa issuance?
Had these so called Nigerian diplomats knew what they were doing, Nigerians should never have received such a treatment. Why would the Nigerian embassy in Ukraine be unable to mobilize and arrange the logistics to convey Nigerians to the Ukrainian border and hand them over to the Nigerian embassy in Poland, Hungary etc...? If you like defend, support or even act ignorant, the fact remains all these folks (ambassadors, Nigerian foreign diplomats, Dabiri etc) dont have a clue, and dont care about Nigerians, if they do, it is only those who have done well for themselves without any help from Nigeria. As for tea party, its beyond tea, simply because, foreign diplomatic appointments/deployments are a full buffet for lackeys and cronies of the ruling party, many of whom are incompetent, lack initiative and simply put, unqualified.

Reno again! Challenging us to consider things objectively not based on sentiment or media bias. This is a lesson to all embassies worldwide. What is the relevance of an embassy in Ukraine when it cannot rally its diplomatic access in collecting its citizens and handing them over to the her embassy in the Poland, Hungary etc... There is more to having an embassy in a country, not only issuance of visa or renewal of passports. The Nigerian ambassadors to these countries should cover their head in shame or resign. They have no clue of what they re there for. Somebody tell Abike Dabiri that, since her tenure, embassies in diaspora have not improved beyond passport and visa

If a person you trusted, lied to you once, if you re gullible to believe him a second time, then the joke is on you. The virus is real no doubt about that. However, the vaccine is a scam. It is an exercise aimed at selection, a kind of survival of the fittest scheme. Some are of the view that there are many of us who should not be here. That the numbers of 'useless' people on the face of the earth is the problem and so if you want to be here, you have to not only earn it but prove it as well. And how that is to be done is a test, whereby everyone is subjected to a health jungle, the virus being the predator, if you survive its first dose, then you do the 2nd one, you perhaps might be chosen to be here. And so, while some are pro vaxxers and others are anti, the point of consensus is, both do not want to die. So if you re for vaxxing, pls do so quietly and if you re not do so too quietly.

Until we realize that, the most untrustworthy specie of man that exists is the white man, we remain expendable. The virus did not (did any disease ever) stem from Africa. We must not allow them introduce it through their lies, propaganda and neo colonialism.

Here we go again, borrowing the harvest, before imbibing the principles of planting and cultivating. Today, the number of athletes abandoned by Nigeria for career ending injuries are increasing. Yet these greedy (how to make more money) and ego driven (bragging rights - we brought football to Nigeria) people are not considering the facts just the wealth and prestige. In America, this sport has killed many an athlete off and on the field, a close second to boxing. You want to bring football to Nigeria, at least, go and copy the medical back up system they provide when players get hurt and replicate it...

EducationRe: What Are My Chances Of Making First Class? by JediB(f): 12:41pm On Jan 15, 2020
Easy question, simple answer - keep your units low meaning avoid taking any elective that adds nothing to your bottomline. Find out exactly how many units you need to graduate. Divide the total units by the number of semesters you have left, and keep it simple but full of hardwork for the remaining 4 semesters. For example, say, you need 40 to make total of 120 to graduate, split the 40 by 4 to get 10 units per semester and do just that till you graduate. You re better off with your compulsories, a minimal total unit required for graduating than a maximum number which only increases units used to divide your total at the end.

Listen op, all you fear, will never happen... Take that from someone who was in the same shoes (13 years ago, finished top of my class, CGPA 4.18 and felt the sky is no limit)

Do not fall into that trap of believing a school grade is the be all and end all of your dreams and aspirations for it is not. From my experience, it only portrays you as one who successfully adapted and succeeded at your school and department's yardstick for measuring success. Unfortunately, it is not the same with the larger society you are headed for...

For now, celebrate yourself, all the long nights of study, classes etc, some did the same and don't have results commensurate with the effort they put in, some could not finish, some had resits, some even died... So you have sth to rejoice about and take pride in...give thanks

Focus on your service year, what you want to do and how. Start setting your goals - personal, social and financial. Decide if, where and when you want to further. If you cannot influence where you would be serving, start your research on the opportunities for pp (private practice) in the northern, eastern, Western and southern states, learn the local lingo and prepare to adapt your learning and education to serve wherever you are posted...you will be surprised just how many can benefit from your level of education.

One day at a time, my friend... Life got plans for you too, but not it's best when depression obtains.

So says one who has walked a similar path, stumbled here and there, but succeeded eventually.

This comment is the reason why, believe it or not, all other ethnic groups in Nigeria find it very very hard to associate with igbos. Such a comment while not necessary in the context of an untimely and unfortunate incident, it is equally apalling by the number of those who deemed it worthy of liking. While there are fantastic people amongst the Igbo, there is no doubt,a significant and worryingly increasing number of igbos who in showing solidarity for their ethnicity, display a high level of insensitivity and bigotry quite similar to Hitler and his superior Aryan ideology on issues.

A brilliant mind dies in a plane crash, if not for the unfortunate incident, you probably would not have heard of him; a plane crash and the concomitant inferno burns all in it's path, leaving the agony of it's victims better imagined and all an insensitive Igbo man can say is about where he/she is buried. For this to be publicly aired shows how grossly unintelligent you are, sir and moreso; to have likes - people who agree with you suggests how some igbos place any comment made by their brother, sensible or not, appropriate or not, as worthy of likes and misguided solidarity.

To speak without offence is good, to know when to and how to is priceless.

Igbo people please let us learn to caution one another progressively, our culture, people and economy is not superior to any other

Another "Only in Nigeria Anything goes" scenario. In a non shithole business environment, the marketer is supposed to introduce himself, his employee ID and location he is based. Then point you to where the offer is online, so he can answer any questions from you, based on that. Also on agreeing to the package , he is to remind you there would be no penalty if you cancel the package within the 1st 30 days if dissatisfied after which a prorate comes into play... Your not getting the extras is enough reason to cancel, the csr you spoke with should have just apologised, credit you days you were without or didn't get the service, offer to activate it while on phone or process a refund of your money but ...
In Nigeria, businesses don't care, their word is nothing. There is no service agreement just an arrangement that assures they get paid, service delivered or not

Christ school the one the sets the pace
In games, sports, knowledge and morality
And for academic encouragement
Everybody is proud of us.

Repeat Chorus

Verse 3:
We look up to God for grace and favour
In Him alone we trust,
A golden banner, victory through Christ
Shall see us through danger great or small

And here we go again, a Yoruba ignorant deceived to believing human parts yield financial breakthrough "without consequences". Similar to his eastern counterpart who relied on the alleged connections of his 'exporters' who promised he would not be caught, and if caught, would be out in a few days. Till today, 12 years after, he is on deathrow, the drugs he couriered already at source and he behind bars. Little did he know he was the fall guy to show that the drug agency, in collaboration with the drug Lords, are working .

Whether home or abroad, the motive is the same, Get rich, lose sense, while trying...make it and oppress the hell out of those who lack the courage , get caught and give us all Nigerians another mark on the "most corrupt specie of black in the Universe".

And why is this on the increase? There is a saying that goes like "He who works not at a laundromat has no business bringing new clothes home everyday" meaning in Nigeria, when things don't add up, the rational ones theorize behind closed doors, those who are blood eyed shut them up with aspersions...when truly Nigerians, the everyday Nduka, Seyi, Haruna and Bovi should start holding each other accountable...overnight success stories in a hard economy like ours, if legitimate are worthy of emulation. However, if there are no concrete links between the poor fella of yesterday and the rich dude today, then, reporting to EFCC, yes, whistle-blowing is not out of line...

To keep silent signifies passive consent, and when such things make the news, we all are indicted and suffer for it...#mytwocents
