Anyone traveling to Abuja, I need you to help submit my application

Are you absolutely sure? Apart from the website advert did you call or speak with a representative from the high commission

I just found out that last year applications to the Indian high commission in Abuja closed on the 25th of December. I'm wondering if anyone has contacted with regards to the submission deadline this year.

Has anyone submitted?

Thank you. Yes I applied for a PhD and yes I have benefited from other scholarships and awards for both my undergraduate and postgraduate programme. I graduated with a first class and a distinction for my both degrees and have published papers. Also i have done some volunteering services for some few NGOs which counted for my social services. I have also some professional qualifications to my CV.
May I also note that my interview went very well, in fact one of the panellist congratulated me before I left. I hope all these is enough to clarify to you guys that FSB nominated based on pure merit.

Your response kinda gives a very clear picture of what is obtainable from a prospective scholar. Congrats to you.
To be frank the panelists who interviewed me didn't didn't take time to peruse important elements in my form such as short Courses and voluntary work.... All the same I believe that merit counts here to a very great extent.

I don't know what you guys are talking about but I did get a text message from fsb and it came from one of their advertised numbers and I also spoke to a member of staff of fsb who confirmed it for me. I don't have anyone or any influence on fsb nomination criteria but if truly I have been nominated then I want to believe it's God's grace and the selection process is based on pure merit.
I only came on here to find out if there were more people who also got the text message. I'm sorry if my communication on here might have caused any misunderstanding.

Bidie don't get upset it's just that some of us are anxious and just can't manage a rejection news or whatever.
Kindly confirm if you finished with a first class and your geopolitical zone.

I beg to differ cos FSB does manual screening which requires a longer time to send their nominees to CSC. In past editions everybody got the regret email but the selected few were later contacted.
By the way, I know India had nominated as early as this month, the list if their candidates was published in one if their official websites.

I'll advise you do the search yourself, have you bothered googling previous threads of this scholarship on Nairaland? it is loaded with almost everything you'll need.

Frankly speaking, without the NYSC discharge certificate there's no way one will pass the screening stage. But you can try in faith.

Please I want to know if anyone has got a contact at either federal medical centre or national hospital ABUJA for this certificate of fitness to obtain it at minimum cost and time. Biko help a sister out.

To be very candid, the admission letter is like a compulsory document, when I spoke with someone from FSB she strongly emphasised 1. Minimum of 2:1 (2. NYSC discharge certificate (3. Admission letter
So I'll advise you call the school and tell them how urgent it is or take the leap of faith and attend the interview.

Regarding the Medical certificate, you can certainly get it from teaching hospitals in other states it is not compulsory it comes from an Abuja health facility... Time flies.....

It doesn't mean. As long as you applied and fulfill all the requirements then you can attend the interview.

You need to go to a teaching hospital or National Hospital in Abuja. I don't this FMC is a Teaching Hospital.

Federal medical centre is an acceptable.medical certificate issuing institution recognised by the FSB....THIS IS CONFIRMED

Simple... Visit the hospital and ask for the procedure in the card room or from any nurse or doctor you can read, I'll advise you go very early in the morning.

Hello guys, Please can I change one of the universities or upload an offer letter now that we've long submitted our applications? Please, your responses are urgently needed, thanks.

It is impossible to make any changes to your application after it has been submitted, and no uploads can be done as well. Although it is possible to cancel a current application and resubmit a New one ONLY IF THE APPLICATION PERIOD HAS NOT ELAPSED. unfortunately it closed on the 15th of November.
However one can change ONLY THE REFEREES EMAIL ADDRESSES.

Just bring the admission Letter to the interview.

What i want to find out is, will they send my individual references a link to fill out or how do they get it done?

Yes, your referees should get an automatically generated email asking them to submit their report with regards to your application.

Tell them to check their emails, if they haven't sent it yet. A link is attached that will direct them to the page to upload their references.

Log in to the EAS and you'll find the status of your reference submissions on the very first page. If all three have submitted, it will be indicated, then you can print that page and come along with it to the interview.

The invitation for interview will be published in a national newspaper possibly this week, so be on the lookout.
