I can't say this enough. Help me tell them. Protein supplements are not magic pills. You're not meant to take them and just sit on your ass and watch your muscles/body grow. You gotta put in a lotta hard work too. They're as the name implies; "supplements". They help to supplement the macro-nutrients you get from your healthy food and the efforts from your workout into achieving that desired body. anitaaliu: |
Go online. Do your research. prophylaxis: Des pills dnt dey hv side effecTs |
LOL. Thank God for Nairaland. I just got their mail now and I immediately knew it was a scam and came to Nairaland to confirm. |
dl_jbd: I just got an advanced version of the scam now...LMAOOOO! I received exactly same message today. With three attachments. It's a SCAM!!! Any company that tells you to make payment before they conduct an interview is a SCAM. Let's be guided please. God help us all. |
Cool. But he lives in Benin, that's why he's plumping for an online store. I live in Surulere and I buy a lot of stuff at the GNC store at Leisure Mall too but I didn't mention that to our friend abajea here because like he said he resides in Benin. Ubong Sludba: Go to Shoprite @adeniran ogunsanya. The 1st pharmacy on your leftn I think it is called intensive pharmacy. Or better still, after shoprite the next building is Leisure mall, they have a Health n fitness store upstairs and I've seen Whey protein there and Creatine too(which is also good). You can't miss d shop upstairs. Cool? |
Yeps. GNC is in Leisure Mall Adeniran Ogunsayna and I've patronised them severally but sadly abajea doesn't live in Lagos. he resides in Benin. anitaaliu: Hi Abajea, |
jeffiejay: Hi Abajea, |
abajea: guy i don't get , are we saying there is no online store here i nigeria that we can get this stuff, i reside in Benin so i don't access to a shop that i can get it even in a high price. can someone pls help me out here, i need online store in nigeria for my supplementsHi Abajea, I don't know if there are online stores in Nigeria here that stock these supplements because online retailing only recently started booming in Nigeria. However I can confirm to you that konga.com recently had GNC 100% WHEY PROTEIN in their stock but I guess they're out of stock of the product again due to high demand. You can refresh this link from time to time to know when they re-stock. http:///t/categories/Sports-Fitness/health-and-food-supplements. I'm very sure if you ask around there's definitely somewhere you can physically purchase these supplements in Benin. They aren't that scarce. You can always come back here and share your findings or ask more questions. I wish you all the best. Shalom. |
Hmmmmn. 9raCash: i wrote thier test last year nov and i passed at a sitting, got d job, was outsourced to union bank but soon discovered dat the bank job is a form of glorified slavery. i quit like 3weeks ago. icsl hav no oda job xcept the bank job, and trust me u dont want to be a teller or a marketer in a bank. I will advise u look for a better profession than the bank job. Cheers |
No oooooo! One ke. Them scatter! Ojuelegba road is lined up with Sports shops. From beginning to end. Joerex is in the same area too. I just didn't find the flippers I wanted at other shops. It took two weeks for Joerex to help me get them too 'cos they didn'thave it in their Lagos stock and had to order them from their Onitsha warehouse. There are so many sport shops in Lagos o. I'm a sports person and I buy all my sports gear from shops scattered all over Lagos. Don't forget there are many sports shops in national stadium too. And there are the "Game" and "Sports" stores at the Palms shopping mall in Lekki too. Rossikk: So you mean there is only one major sportswear shop in Lagos? That is a great business to go into. |
LOOL. No wahala. It'll be my pleasure to race/swim with you one day. I normally swim at RitaLori Hotels every Sunday morning. You can send your phone number to my email jayjay_fawaz@yahoo.com. I'll give you a call/text. Rexnegro: Sorry bro my bad..for ƝOT dropping joerex number....well I will now and this is it 08033334606....bro after u said u got urs from joerex sports I did google it and got their website and Facebook page so log on,on the two website to get a full contact abt them including the number....no bro I didn't get the flipper don't tink I need it and more so I wasn't financially prepared for it.bro once again I wanna appreciate u for sharing the info with us....but will like we race one day in a pool with our mesuca swimming goggles looooolz |
Woow. I'm glad I could help. This is the beauty of the internet and social media, helping the world be a better place. I also got my Mesuca swimming trunks there and a couple of other swim gear. Meanwhile did you get the flippers sha? Or you weren't interested? And how did you get Joerex's number by the way? You could drop it here so whoever visits this thread now or in two years would benefit too. Rexnegro: Bro tanx very much I really appreciate u sharing such info ...went there yday and I got a swimming goggles(N1000) the mesuca product and swimming tithe(N1000 though they gave me for N500). Very easy to locate though I was calling joerex himself to ease my movement sha . Get to ojuelegba roundabout just there look around 360degree u will see joerex store....Mehnnnn that store is fucking Big...goodluck for whoever seek to get one . |
LOOL. I found already oo. At one of those sports shops in Ojuelegba. "Joerex sports". That's the name of the store/shop. Locate the portion under the bridge where you can board a bus to Pako-Aguda or Kilo, the shop is just opposite it on the other side of the road. Lemme know if you get it. Good luck. Rexnegro: Bro we are in same shoes here....Ǻ♍ a good swimmer and <3 swimming ....me also Ǻ♍ seriously looking for goggles .....will keep u posted if I have any useful info.. |
@spicywax bro. I'm sorry I'm just even seeing this. I've long overcome this problem. I currently just finished an Animal Cuts cycle and I still currently have BSN's N.O Xplode and GNC Creatine Monohydrate in my locker. I'm that stacked. Lol. I finally came across supplement retailers right here in Lagos. All I need to do is just call them to replenish my stack once I'm low on supply. They also sell waist-belts, knee wraps and basically any other sport related equipment and supplements. I guess I just got lucky. If you're interested I'll make it easy for you 'cos I know most people are wary of scam and security. Just go National Stadium Surulere, anytime between 8am-6pm Mon-Fri, and 8am-12pm Sat and Sun. Ask for the National Institute of Sports (NIS Gym complex). Once you get there you'll know you're in the right place. All kinds of supplements are on display right out there in the open. You don't need to call any phone numbers or anything of that sorts. If you don't find what you're looking for you can walk away in peace. Come back to this thread and I'll give you another option. Thank me later. God Bless y'all. spicywax: |
So I wasn't admitted for MBA but I hear a supplementary list would be out soon. Actually I heard all departments release supplementary lists. How true is this? |
Hi Nairalanders. As someone who loves swimming, and has experienced how flippers, goggles and other swimming gear make it such a better experience, I'll like to know specific places in Lagos where I can get swim gear (flippers in particular). I've trudged the entire Ojuelegba road from sports-shop to sport-shop to no avail. I've been to all the shops in National stadium too but none have. I'll appreciate anyone who could help with useful information. And what's the price range of a good pair of flippers? God Bless you. |

lovenchy: Thanks Jeffiejay. Pls do you also know where exactly it would hold and the tim or where one can check to confirm the centre.Erm. I can't tell where exactly it would hold. I'm almost sure the MBA school at Yaba can't contain all the applicants. I was told to check the MBA school a day before August 11(Exam date) for sitting arrangements and exams halls. All your questions and applications should be directed to the MBA school at Unilag Radiography centre Yaba. All the best if you've applied. See you there. ![]() |
lovenchy: Pls when would the MBA pre-qualification exam hold. I was asked to check online but cant seem to find itAugust 11 2012. You're required to come along to the exam hall with a slip that must have been printed during your online application process. The application form can be found here. http://spgs.unilag.edu.ng/Application/application.php. All the best and God Bless. |
250m. You gan you be thief. Your own pass GTB own. |
Where did you print the sample from? Please share. Genezer: Some of the sample questions are on the internet. I just printed a sample. |
Well. If I could I would. That's why I posted this thread on Nairaland, so whoever could help, would help. |
Thanks a lot. I know the form is 20k. And the entrance exam holds on the 7th of July for MBA applicants. But I'm really concerned about the exam format 'cos I'm coming from a science background. Someone who did his MBa in Unilag some years ago told me there are different questions for students fron Science, commercial and otherwise backgrounds. I need to know what exxactly I'm up against so I'll be able to channel my reading in the right course. |
Hi all, I'd like to put in for the MBA at Unilag for the 2012/2013 session and I'd like to have an idea of the cost. The entrance exam for MBA is slated for July 7 2012 and I'd like to know if the questions are management/MBA-related or GMAT-styled. How valuable is a Unilag MBA as compared to the Lagos Business School MBA? I'd also appreciate any other important titbits. Thanks. |
Hi all, Please who knows any GMAT test centers in Lagos and how I can make payment for the GMAT exam? This is urgent. Thanks. |
Hey spicywax. I've been having problems majorly 'cos of my Mastercard. I signed up with myus.com and 10dollars was deducted from my Mastercard, however, a security twist came with it, myUS.com deducted another tiny amount, and told me to contact my bank to tell me how much was deducted. Then I'd enter the amount in dollars into a link on the site for them to confirm that I actually owned the card. Ok I got all alerts on my phone. The tiny amount dedcuted was just N150. MyUS said I had to enter the dollar value, the even had a currency converter, I used it. Still I didn't get the exact amount prolly 'cos of fluctuating exchange rates. I tried thrice, and then was told I couldn't go ahead 'cos I had failed to verify the card. I spoke with live chat agents, he gave me another option of personal shopper. It seemed interesting, they helped me purchase the item and sent me the invoice, well they had to collect their payment too, via my Mastercard. As it is at the moment, I can't use my Mastercard for any online purchase, it's not been blocked 'cos it still works as ATM. |
Wooooow! You know what. I actually saw this page while I was on bodybuilding.com but I never really paid it much attention. I have now though. MyUS.com actually makes it a whole lot easier. I've signed up for membership for just 10usd and I got a notification e-mail that any membership be confirmed in 24hours provided that I pass all the card requirements. I have a feeling a made a mistake though, I used a billing address different from the address my bank recognizes. I Googled 'billing address' and it say it's an address where your invoice is sent to and it's mostly always the address on your bank card. I spoke to a live chat client on MyUS.com and he assured me that if anything's wrong with my application they'd contact me. I'm excited. I really am. It's amazing the things I've learned and done through Nairaland. God Bless y'all here. Spicywax, be sure you have my immense gratitude. Jah Bless bro. I'll keep you abreast of subsequent proceedings via this thread. |
pills keh? Protein supplements are just as the name implies - protein.
But he lives in Benin, that's why he's plumping for an online store. I live in Surulere and I buy a lot of stuff at the GNC store at Leisure Mall too but I didn't mention that to our friend abajea here because like he said he resides in Benin.
