Thanks2God: The Senior immigration officer, was one of the supervisor of the CBT exam. He congratulated me wen I told him I was invited. Saying;
Me: what's our hope of getting the job
Officer: congratulations, you are already employed. All those invited will be taken, except there's discrepancy in Certificate, less than required hight, or didn't attend the screening at all. You guy has crossed them hurdle.
Me: But the CGI said 4120 will be employed out the 6015 invited Officer: My brother forget that thing, they have just invited the people that they wan to employ. Let me ask u, Did you see any list that contain 6105 names, they have invited people that they will employed. They will used their candidates to fill up the space of those that were invited but didn't come or came but meet requirement, i.e height, age, and certificate etc.
Me: will dey issue us appointment letter, immediately at screening center. Officer: No, but it won't take long after screening.
Me: It seems there was some level of transparency in the process Officer: My brother, you guys are lucky bcoz some entities wanted to scretely hijack the whole process, but as the matter became publicize even at NASS, then the eye/attention of Fg govt became more attracted, hence closing monitoring. What played out at NASS, was to advantage of unconnected candidates that performed well at CBT.
Me: Did dey used CBT result or na luck. Officer: The results of CBT was used for shortlisting of merit list of candidates, except slot reserve for top official, which has been added to shortlisted candidates already. I personally saw your score that day, bcoz we were shown the score immediately after the by the ICT manager before forwarding it to data base center.
Me: what's the cut off mark. Officer: there was no general cut off bcoz of federal character. Cut off mark was base of general performance of applicants in a particular state.
Me: what about the reference form, ust we go with it fill. Officer: just go with item mentioned in the invite letter. The essence of the screening is just to see that u are physically fit and not handicap or dwarf, verification your credentials you uploaded during registration then you are already an immigration officer.
Guys, these are somethings I can remember for now Thanks sir for the updates. Pls help us ask about NSCDC recruitment. Are we to expect invites anytime soon? |

Nepotism at work. What ever happen at the NSCDC Hqtrs, I pray it favor us. Jigga11: NEWS TOP HEADLINES NSCDC: Presidency stops DCG Madu, asks CG Gana to remain in office despite tenure expiration Post author By Wale Odunsi Post date January 19, 2021
There is confusion at the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) over Commandant General, Abdullahi Gana.
Gana’s extended tenure elapsed on Monday January 18.
In 2019, the federal government through the Ministry of Interior elongated his tenure by six months.
NSCDC spokesman, Emmanuel Okeh, in a statement on July 19, announced that the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbeshola communicated the approval.
Now, the presidency has asked Gana to remain in office pending an official memo on the next line of action, PRNigeria reports.
Gana was said to have handed over yesterday to a Deputy Commandant General, Hilary Kelechi Madu.
But the presidency, it was gathered, insists it did not give a handover directive and as such, the status quo be maintained.
The claim is that Gana still has two years in service.
If so, stakeholders wonder why was he granted a six-month extension that elapsed on Monday.
They argue that the government could have in 2019 approved his incumbency until “actual” retirement date
Madu is currently the most senior officer at NSCDC after Gana.
The DCG in charge of Operations now has to wait longer as efforts are being made to further extend his boss’s stay in office.
Powerful forces are lobbying the presidency and top officials for this to happen.
President Muhammadu Buhari and Aregbesola had been warned not to grant additional tenure extension to heads of paramilitary agencies.
Aside Gana, others are Controller-General, Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), Jaafaru Ahmed, and Comptroller-General, Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Muhammad Babandede.
A retired Immigration Officer, Daniel Makolo, had stated that Aregbesola acted beyond his constitutional authority ab initio.
Aregbesola chairs the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB).
Makolo said he had no legal power “to recommend or extend the statutory tenure of any public servant, no matter and however industrious such an officer may be.”
The human rights lawyer pointed out that the Public Service Commission is the body empowered with specific provisions for entry and exit.
“The practice of arbitrary, illegal elongation of the statutory tenure of public office occupants sets a dangerous precedent for bureaucracy and national security”, he warned.

KBConfident: Do you think it is easy to do another NIN. Even DOB correction on NIN that's free before in now 20K and that will take 4-5 months to effect. That's actually not true. This is Nigeria where everything is possible under the sun. Instead of correcting your data, you can apply for a new NIN which cost only 15k. And the beauty of it is u can get NIN same day or maximum the next day. |
