TravelRe: Applying For FLR After Your Initial UK Spouse Visa (extension) by Jeljay: 11:10pm On Nov 05, 2018
Hi Guys.

I’ve been trying to book a premium service slot for the last 5 days but it keeps stating there’s not slot available for the next 45 days. Does anyone know if this usually change or when’s the best time to check the website as i’ve Heard slots become available each day.

Can someone please tell me what that means. Today is officially the last day of my 12 week period. I emailed them to enquire about the status of my application, only to get the email below. When I checked the TLS website the decision made icon has not been ticked. Can anyone advice. Thanks

Thank you for contacting the UK Visas and Immigration International Enquiry
Service.

We understand that you would like to know about the current status of your
visa application. I have tracked the status (GWXXXXXXXXand date of birth
XX/XX/19XX) and found that the application has been processed.

Please note that your passport and documentation could still take some time
to reach you whilst being sent back from the decision making centre and
whilst other administrative formalities are completed. The visa application
centre will be in contact with you regarding the collection or delivery.

Hi y'all, any body applied around early-late jan heard anything yet? We are 11weeks now from bio and the wait is a killer!
Tmr is officially the end of our 12 week application period and we're yet to get a response. I'm frustrated and very tempted to request for an update of our application first thing tomorrow.

@saratkum.

Nothing yet. Mine it's over 10 weeks now. Hoping by GOD's grace we'll get some positive news this week. Once I do, I'll definitely let you know.

8 weeks and still no word. Don't know why it has to between 10-12 week before they make decisions on applications. The waiting is the worst part.

@Saratkum

@Saratkum

No, not priority. I honestly wish I did. The wait is just too long. Did you do priority?
TravelRe: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Jeljay: 2:46am On Feb 25, 2016
@saratkum.

When did you do the online application, when did you spouse do the biometrics and when did you submit your supporting documents. If you don't mind me asking.

My spouse did her biometrics on the 6th of January with supporting documents sent the following week and I'm yet to receive any new information apart from its still being processed.

I am in the same situation right now.. mine was supposedly delivered on Jan 21st.. no confirmation email. Did u get urs sorted?
@saratkum
Spoke to someone at royalmail and I was told UKVI comes to pickup all the mails in a van and they he can assure me mine was one of the parcels that was picked up.
Still haven't gotten a confirmation email, but a solicitor friend of mine told me it's not Unusual for them not to send confirmation email. Don't worry about, I'm sure it's with them.

@portsmouth86 Easiest way to know if your spouse has received his visa, is to check if the nhs surcharge was refunded. if so, then it was rejected. If no, then it was granted. Usually the surcharge is refunded back into the payee account within 3-5 days of visa decision being made, if it was paid with a UK account/card.

Im not sure if this makes any difference but on Facebook one person asked me..." Did you get a VAF reference in the email subject line" intrigued i checked and indeed yes I do have a reference number starting VAF123456 (6 numbers but not these) and the guy said, this number was the same on his visa when he got the passport and said he has asked those with a refusal and the decision made email did not contain a VAF reference in the email subject line.

I thought that maybe it was just the application ref but this starts with GWF which is also in the message of the email

Can anyone check their emails, this could give us an indication before we receive the passports back

Hello Guys.
Please I need you advice. It's been 3/4 weeks since my wife applied for her spouse visa and I have been recently offered a new job in the last few days. It's an opportunity I feel I can't turn down because of the financial package which is £6,000 more than I'm currently earning.
My current role is above the financial threshold the HO requires. We are yet to receive an acknowledgment letter from Sheffield about receiving our supporting documents which was sent on the 12th and delivered on the 13th of this month. I will need to hand it a one month notice to my current employers.
I'm scared if I take the job it will someway affect my wife's application, but it's very hard to turn down this offer.
Please house, I need advice on this situation, had anyone been in my situation before, if so, please advice. Thanks

Hello Guys.
I submitted supporting documents for my wife spouse visa application from London to UK VISA & IMMIGRATION PO BOX 3468
SHIEFFIELD, UNITED KINGDOM
S3 8WA through Royal Mail on the 12th and when I tracked it on the website, it shows status as DELIVERED on the 13th. But below it states with reference AE*********GB has reached its PO Box and is awaiting collection/delivery, up till this very moment.
I'm a bit confused here because I haven't got an notification for the HO stating they have received my supporting documents.
Please has this happened to anyone, any advice would be highly appreciated. What do I do in this situation, starting to get a bit worried.

1. Yes, Ikeja is services pay center but will be added to your payment before u can pay if u choose Ikeja as ur point of submission. If not choose VI and u will not pay for service center.
2. Sent to Sheffield, spousal visa is not handle by UK embassy Nigeria
3. Yes. Your spouse will do but if u have all the supporting documents u can send them with DHL to Sheffield yourself that's how I did mine in Sept
4. Interviews will be done but I don't think it's 100% just tell ur spouse to get ready and guru here will help u out when the time comes and ur spouse should make her phone ready for call from Sheffield visa section
5. 12 weeks or more, mine took 13 weeks but was contacted on the 12 weeks on Wats going on about my application with them
6. Nope, within 30 - 45 mins if u re interviewed but if no interview less than that.
Hope that helps
Thanks a lot that was very helpful.

Hi,
From your numerous questions I am guessing you have not done much research about the whole process. I hope you have gathered all the necessary evidence and documents as requested.
@jangolo, just cause I asked some questions doesn't mean I haven't done my research, I only asked to double check the research I have done, plus some of the questions can only be answered by people who have done it in the past, such as how long does it take to support the application form and documents, which some member of the forums were able to answer. Thank you to the people who were able to answer my questions, it's been much appreciated.

Hello Guys.

I just want to ask a couple of questions, looking for a bit of assistance. I have applied for a UK spouse visa online and I have been given a date to submit the application and biometrics in ikeja. I would like to know the following:
1) is it true I still have to pay a fee at the ikeja office when I'm submitting my documents.
2) is my application handled in Nigeria or sent out to Sheffield.
3) Is my spouse in the UK required to summit any other additional documents. I read somewhere I'm only to submit the application form and my spouse is the one submitting the other documents from the UK to Sheffield.
4) I also heard there will be no need for interviews as decisions will be made out interviews.
5) can someone please tell me how long does the application process usually take
6) how quickly is the submission of documents done in ikeja or should I expect to spend the whole day there.

Sorry if I'm asking too many questions, guess I'm nervous and want to know what to expect. Thanks.
