Just keep hard rebooting whenever such happens. In my own case, I managed to keep android system at less than 5%.

Yet I only try to get 8hrs SOT under intense usage self.

No matter what he used. That SOT is still good.

And one more thing, all these things are subjective. Irrespective of what he used, 10hrs plus SOT is very good. At least, he achieved that via WhatsApp and browsing. The onus here is that he achieved 10hrs SOT.

Also, from the screenshot, apart from WhatsApp and browsing, android system also took a large chunk of battery about 24% (this can be attributed to bad network or themes and the likes). Now imagine if android system was at a low of 5% do you think he won't achieve 12-13hrs of SOT with that?

It's a fact, android system is a battery hugger. Which seems to be the only issue with his battery here.

You even ignored the fact that the last time he charged his phone was 1 day plus.

@horlahwaley, your SOT is very good. You just need to check your android system to figure out what's causing the drain from it. If it's network, change your network, if it's themes, revert to normal theme. To also fix it, always hard reboot frequently. You'll definitely achieve more than 10hrs SOT.

I'm dying to achieve even 8hrs here and someone is calling that poor. Lol. Poor for a year old phone and a 14nm manufacturing process chipset. Lol.

I sent 3k to someone for purchase of casing and screen protector for my redmi 8 since yesterday afternoon. Till now he said he hasn't received alert nor the money is in his account.. Till now.


I sent him the transaction receipt
I sent him the SMS alert.
I sent the statement of account showing the money was deducted and even the charges.
I even sent him the email alert on the transaction showing the money was sent..



He still insisted he isn't credited o.


It's from GTB account to Zenith bank account through Mobile app.


Is it possible that he hasn't truly seen the money ni

As for AOSP roms, the number of complaints and problems I see on xda really scares me. Almost all of them have a major bug on rn8.

Based on our previous talk of network bars and how they connote to how good our reception is, and how it takes toll on our battries, I did check it out and it was true.
In the pics, I had a full bar but checking the network strength, I saw it was terrible. I must say that the war our phone is fighting for us behind the scene just to give us good call and data quality can never be overemphasised.
I did write a little article on it but it got deleted and I got banned cos of links to the source I used but I'll repost it without the links here.

N/B:
I just discovered my battery health is 94%, am surprised because I just bought this phone.
It lends credence to one of the things I wrote that the frequent use of fast charging may not be so nice to our phone battery.
