Guys, its really really hard to choose between the two of dem. they are both great actors in their rights. though, i believe Will Smith is a better entertainer than Jamie. have u seen will's resume, its crazy, "He has enjoyed success in music, television and film. Newsweek has called him the most powerful actor on the planet.[2] Smith has been nominated for four Golden Globes, two Academy Awards, and has won multiple Grammys. He is the only actor in history to have eight consecutive films gross over $100 million in the domestic box office as well as being the only actor to have eight consecutive films open at #1 on the domestic box office as a Lead Actor" Will is very Good, and so is Jamie foxx |
hey guys, i'm back!!! i am so sorry for loosing contact wit u guys. had lots of things to sort out- school issues, business and i've been having problems with my internet connection. i' m glad that the project is progressing and regret not being a part of it so far. U guys are doing a great job!!! Boss(es), is there any job out there 4 me to do ![]() |
hey guys, sorry i have not been online 4 a while now. how's work going? i'm working on modelling the village scene and i also have some ideas for the cave where akin encounters onya. should be thru by wednesday. still hope we can get some 2d artists. @resichild, how far with the storyboard?? i've got some ideas, but sketching dem out is a lil' problem. |
Whalewale:@ whalewale, k'mon why dont u join the crew, it will be great to have someone like u around also. |

hey guys, these are some of the village pictures i have seen. i need us to make a decision on what type of huts we would be using.
|
@ OKX yeah i have searched for pictures of villages and what i get is varied. there are various types of villages with their different types of housing styles. as a matter of fact, what time/era do we want to set this movie in? is it pre-colonisation, post or even present day. i am very sure villages wont look the same way in all these different eras. |
u guys i am ready to work but i would prefer modelling the houses and other objects within the village and let other people work on the characters. so i guess i will need reference pictures of huts and villages. tried getting some, but no luck. |
hey resichild & other team members, i've gotten the story and read it. its a cool one and i'm ready to start work. the problem is, i dont think we have agreed on what type of style we are using. resichild , u said we could start modelling, but what am i supposed to model when i dont have details of all the objects in the scenes. i think as OKX said we need to really plan this thing properly. there is a story, but is there a script or screenplay that really gives details of this short film. @ Neikid, good model and great enthusiasm about this project, but we haven't agreed on what each character would look like. i believe we would need a 2d artist to sketch the characters and other objects in each scene, kind of like a storyboard; so we can all have references to work with. i would not want to spend time modelling objects and later discover that someone else has done something similar. |

i'm surprised that everyone is happy dat Thabo Mbeki has resigned ![]() he has been a good president and a good leader, he has been loyal to south africa, africa and more importantly ANC. jacob zuma has used his influence and power to make this happen. mbeki has very good intentions and is a great leader though some of his local policies have not worked out well. his administration has made the south african economy bouyant and his foreign policies are great. unfortunately for him the south african masses dont like him, i guess because of his educational background and mayb his 'supposed' social class. they seem to prefer Zuma, who is more social and is a friend to everybody. i hope this political instability in SA will not affect their hosting of the World cup2010, remember the western countries are looking for a way to get that right from africa. i just wish mbeki well in his future endeavours and hope that Zuma or any next president will be a better president. and definitely SA is a more democratic nation than nigeria, come-on, they were colonizes by the americans what do u expect. |
well my email is jemit2002@yahoo.com so "OGA" you can contact me as i am ready to work with you. |
hey u guys r killing me with all these much grammar. @Resichild i think u've got a good idea. u said u would like 2 do a film in 3-4wks, well 2 b frank wit u, i think d best u will do is a 4-5mins video. seriously it takes a lot to work on a 3d project. if u think getting lots of people 2 work wit u will help, wait till everyone comes wit their own ideas, variety of design styles etc. u havn't gotten the people on ground yet & u r setting unrealistic time limits. look, its good to set goals, but they have to b realistic. i sure hope u hav settled the issue of the storyline b4 d 4weeks period begins, though there will still b lots of adjustments to the story during production. if u hav a short time to work on the project, why dont u reduce the length of the movie & come up with something great, as OKX said its best to come out wit something dat will wow d audience & even receive international attention. believe me, many guys are working on various animation projects here in nigeria, most r individual & personal jobs, so if u want to gather a team as u said, i think u should just go 4 d best. i'm interested in this by d way. i'm into 3d modelling & animation, also into videography and would like to work with like-minds. i believe there are so many great guys around. |
well i'm interested in this offer (if its 4 real) i do 3d modelling with maya how do i contact you? |
definitely, i believe nigerian filmakers will learn a lot from their counterparts at bollywood. they produce clean(visually) films, though i can't say much about their storylines, i dont think they are as bad as what we have presently in nollywood. |
nice comment seun. the directors have the responsibility of turning a script into the reality that everyone including the scriptwriters desire. |
no problem. i guess you will be the financier. i have got a script. holla @ me when your millios are ready. |
@ zPixel, good to hear from you. would really love to see the final rendering of the warship. whats ur opinion on the rendering capabilities of Maya? the lion of Judah movie should be out dis august. |
sorry, but what makes you a pro. i am presently working on an action film story. |
hey guys, dont do this without me. i'm so much interested in meeting other people in this field. whalewale, how far. i hope u will be around. we need to talk. |
hello tunslike, sounds like you are a maya user, i am also one but new in the game. i have tried couple of other softwares but none satisfies me like maya. are u based in nigeria, would love to learn and work with you. |
GODISSON:and u are ![]() |
hello seun, haven't really been following your project on the superhero stuff, but i guess u shouldn't give up on ur plan. who knows what u think won't be a hit may just end up being a great success. can i ask a question? are u interested in movie making as a hobby or also for business? if its as a hobby, u really shouldn't b concerned about making much profit, u will get satisfaction by fulfilling ur passion. but, if its for business, i guess u better get ur mind straight. real business is all about taking risks. and its usually the ones with the biggest risk that have the highest profit. even our fellow nollywood producers take certain risks (though i really dont like there methods). i guess u need to take the risk of producing the movie. |
making a documentary really cost money i.e making a good documentary. how do you expect to carryout adequate research without money. your crew and locations have to be paid for expect you intend doing the whole thing yourself. don't forget you will may need voice-over, 'extras' and also some amount of footage which u may have 2 pay for. except you are really good in investigating and analysing issues, documentary may be a stressful one. making documentaries isn't a bad idea though, i dont think i have really seen a worthwile Nigerian documentary. |
Gaybriel:music audition whats dat.anyway thats not a bad idea. but i guess people in this section(like me)are interested in the film making than film acting. |
hello there Graphics Dons. if anyone is out there in need of 3D models ranging from cars, bikes, trucks to houses and even human models, contact me. There is also available very good MAYA tutorials and training materials for you 3D enthusiasts. my mail is jemit2002@yahoo.com or call 07030313260 |
EFOSA VAL:HOW DO I GET IN CONTACT WITH YOU? |
nice attempt. also hoping to try claymation someday. it sounds like an interesting animation technique. |
idiocracy!! |
wont work in nigeria till about 3-4years time. why? well the problem is with our internet connections. many people in niga can barely watch a 5mins video on youtube comfortably. i guess its a good product. |
