is going to a university necessary?

i guess not. many have been successful without going there. so is the issue of film school. one can actually learn the skill on his/her own, but i believe it is better to go to a film school because (1.) u may learn more than what u get in the books, (2)though u may get theories, they may be very useful (3) u will also get to learn from others esp. other students there.


i plan to go to a film school anyway.

hello guys, i kind of need help with rendering in maya. i think i do nice models but have not been able to get wonderful final images.

i believe i need to work on my rendering skills. any ideas on how to make a scene look next to a real photograph instead of looking cartoon-like.

how does this battle thread work? thought people were like to post their works and compare with each other to see whose is better

Omotola Vs Ini

well i guess i'll choose Ini Edo anytime (for personal reasons)

she can act, though i think 'omosexy' has a slight edge over her.


everyone's saying omotola has had 4 kids and still has a good body, but have u guys taken a lok at her recently. i always feel like throwing up when i see her.

though Ini doesn't have a perfect body, she still has d shape a nice face too.

i'll say one of mine is the gladiator. love the storyline, the cinematography and the score was great.

Happy feet is another one i love so much. the animated film about penguins always makes me happy when i watch it. the dialogue and cinematography is perfect.

Men, from Eternity to Eternity, Kenny, D1 and ID on the street suck. Kenny and D1 are like dumb and dumber trying to feel all cool, funky and shit, of course wit Kenny being the dumber partner. And what's with ID on the street with his fake american accent and all. Him i absolutely can't stand. He his absolutely VOMITROCIOUS. And i support all those that think they should retire and pass the baton because they needed to have done that like years back. Maybe, they will see this and realize they aren't so hot after all. i stopped watching Primetime about 3 years ago, do they actually still run the show. anyway i feel they are way too old to be doing it. they can always come for the show once in a while but they should leave the main presenting for people much younger and fun.

we have to hail them for their creativity though, i guess they were one of the first people to start entertainment shows on niga tv. but their time is passed.

I don't personally like those kinds of industries with little or no real value (eg sports, acting, music etc. ) I think we nigeria, should concentrate on the hard sciences and technology. We have a zero manufacturing base. We can't even make bicycle. India is getting ready to launch a moon expedition. Look at the success of china, taiwan, hong kong, india, singapore, south korea etc. They concentrate on manufacturing and the sciences. Every thing else will come after you have solved your real problems. I am 40 years old and there has not been a day in benin that nepa has not taken light in 40 years. What a shame.! we can't even feed our selves and we are talking about acting / actors.

i guess u can start by searching online, wikipedia.org is a good place to start. it gives u a basic knowledge of what scriptwriting is.

how are we supposed to make classics or epic nigerian movies when we know very little about our history and past. we do not have enough information or resouces about the history of the nation nigeria especially before the british came into nigeria.

apart from the issue of financing/funding of the epic, which is a major factor, i guess the researching for the story would be very tasking, except if u just want to do a fictional story.

how good are ur scripts? i would like someone to work on a script for me.

i personally would prefer to use CGI to create scenes and characters in my movies if need be. there may also be need for scale models and old-fashion traditional special effects depending on the effect needed.

simulating a helicopter crashing into the mm2 airport may be better using cgi.

Apart from the 'father of blockbuster' - Steven Spielberg, who is in a class all by himself, i think i admire Ridley Scott, Martin Scorcese, Clint Eastwood, Micheal Moore and a few others.

love ridley scott for his unique cinematography and ability to make the audience feel what is going on in the movie - e.g black hawk down, the gladiator and american gangster.

hoping for manu vs shalke or liverpool. as a man u fan, i dont want us to face arsenal or chelsea rite now. we can keep them for last. a draw with barca wont be a bad idea though.
