Another thing I hate about Tyler Perry and other "black" movies is the nonsense that they sell to black women.

The "good guy" or "heartthrob" is usually a big, strong-faced black guy. Very one dimensional.

In mainstream Hollywood that is mostly marketed to whites, there is variety- sometimes the skinny guy or a geek or a just an average guy is the good guy. See Elijah Wood, Toby McGuire, Edward Norton etc.


Black women deserve better. Maybe this is why many black women are attracted to the big muscular thug look. . I call it the "Tyrone look"

The action in Alita is great. However the plot and story is nothing new. The movie is okay- an average action sci-fi movie.

Tyler Perry will always be a low class producer/director. The film had a nice story to it but Tyler Perry just has no creativity in structuring an interesting plot.

His films are always predictable. The guy has no imagination.

The film has good actors and a lovely story. Tyler Perry just has to spoil it with his Nollywood direction.


Black people deserve better than this. I say this with all honesty: any black person that is a fan of Tyler Perry is a mental slave.

If we are being honest, there is no way that Deadpool and Logan are as bloody as the particular The Punisher you are talking about. That is the thing, the punisher level of bloody is too much nowadays for mainstream blockbusters

The movie is a hardcore R rated movie with a lot of killing, gore and blood. And since marvel fans like comedy, dancing, singing and clownish films, it didn't go down well with most marvel fans. Hence it bombed big time at the box office.

That's why black widow won't be a bloody R rated movie because of its fans.

PS: Don't mention deadpool as R rated in comparison to the punisher

Movies like Green Book, Bohemian Rhapsody are terribly under-hyped on this thread.

Most folks on this thread only raves about comic book movies everyday.

One of them even claimed that A Star Is Born is not good movie.

I just weak.

But you have to understand. The typical Nigerian likes action or action/sci-fi or superhero action.....second to that is horror and then comedy.

With that, certain artistic movies are low on the scale of preference.
