I am still on this medical issues o. Q-life is fully booked till April. If you have a slot for January and you don't have an ITA yet, can you please do a swap? Glory be to God. After several years of struggle, ITA finally arrived last week. I just learnt, although not too new, that persistence always yield positive result. Don't give up....if you do, then it's automatic acceptance of failure.

We are confronted with the second hurdle, which is the medical. I'm just told there are just 2 medical laboratories in Lagos: Qlife and IOM. Qlife is booked till March whereas I have just upto 18 Feb to submit my application. IOM fees double that of Qlife but I don't mind to pay, I pray I get a slot.

I was told at Qlife that people book ahead even though they've not gotten the ITA. I am therefore begging the house, if you have booked ahead and you are ready to help a friend, kindly give me your slot and rebook. IOM charges are exorbitant and considering that there are still so much expenses involved in this struggle, your kind gesture will be highly appreciated.

Finally, I want to thank you all for your advic and help from different angles that make the struggle fruitful. Don't give up and your own ITA will land very soon.

An agent is asking for 600k for 2yrs visa with work permit and she said it will take abt 8 week to process. Pls is the money too much or too good to be true. Though some guys claims they know the agent that she is trust worthy.

The initial payment of 180k.... The rest to be paid when the visa is out.

Bros, just run and run. No agent in Nigeria can guarantee you a Canada visa. Whatever you cannot achieve online, nobody can get it for you.

I did all that too during our application submission. Submitted my wife's affidavit change of name, newspaper publication, marriage certificate whilst her international passport was still in her maiden name.

1. No issue whatsoever if you didn't renew her international passport with her married surname. It will still pass and be approved normally.

2. However, in my case, I towed the other route: After submitting our application, I thought that it will be okay to have my wife's married surname (which has officially been changed anyways) to reflect in her immigration documents starting from the Confirmation of Permanent Residence (CoPR) document and PR Card subsequently...as I don't want to start the process of name change on documents later into our stay in Canada. Hence I needed to change the surname on her international passport and raise a CSE for the changed surname on the intl passport with emphasis to CIC that we desire the surname changed and hence after used on all her immigration documents.

48 hours after raising the CSE, her surname change was reflected on my express entry profile and subsequently, her immigrant visa and CoPR document reflected her married surname.

So I exempted myself from that additional official stress of changing surname on documents later on in Canada. İ have done that here and I'm done with that.

Proceeding in which court? Nigeria or the US? If it was in Nigeria court, what do you expect? I am very sure, if you check the case file, it was have been postponed to the next ten years or the presiding judge is transferred etc. We have actually been beclouded to the fullest.

I will also advised that you read the confessional statement of Jefferson and then come back. While Jefferson paid Atiku, he is in prison. Atiku that collected the money is walking freely. I beg to say that Nigeria Judiciary is SCRAP!. The youth must wake up.....

You can criticize him on many grounds but he is probably the most cosmopolitan and pragmatic Northern politician. He has also succeeded outside government via his businesses. He's also a very organised person - look at his family, the way he raised his children and the way he runs his companies. Atiku's Media Office is the best professionally run media office in the country.

He thinks home with his investments too. If he can honestly bring his pragmatism in business to governance, I believe he should make a difference. Emphasis is on 'honestly', you never know how humans will turn out at the end of the day. I also feel OBJ maligned Atiku unfairly and damaged much of his public repute and I think it was because he was a tough vice president not the usual weak vice presidents we are used to. Not that he was a saintly Vice President but Atiku also doesn't get recognized for the contributions he has made as a private citizen.

He's one of the few politicians I can actually pick a trait from despite the negative public repute - his pragmatism is quite outstanding.

I have re-checked the result and I found out that they dropped 3 years out of 6 year I presented despite that I studied computer engineering and I have been working with an IT firm for 6 years doing core IT work ranging from different IT implementations. These are the core competence of a systm Analys I applied for. So am still wondering the sharp drop in the points.

Hi guys, after about 7 weeks, ACS finally replied me yesterday with a positive feedback. What amazed me most is that, contrarily to different testimonies here that they usually deduct years of experiences, mine were never deducted. I submitted 6 years and was assessed for 6 years and 1 month. I really want to thank everyone for your advice. I know that one day, I will come here and give testimony after my ITA.

@OP I will advise you not to drive through some border because the customs and immigration officers will milk your pock on that route,most especially when you are still a first timer..

Try this route ...Owode...Idiroko route and yeah you need an international passport for you to carry out normal formalities and to avoid stress...You will have to apply for a temporary permit to drive your car in Benin Republic ...Its called laissé passé...Then you are good to go!!

1. Yes you can drive (have all car papers and co. + Documents at border at seme). You can as well chatter a car at the border to that Resort. To avoid unneccessary stress.

2. If you all have Passport, No Problem. But at least have I.D Card and make sure your children have birth certificates.

3. I swear that Resort is A Paradise of Beauty. Its not in the city of Cotonou. The Papa del Casa Resort is in the city of Ouidah (just 1:30 minutes drive from cotonou and about 2hr drive from Nigerian Border).

PS: Try Google this 'Cassie Daves Cotonou Trip' on Google. Then You'll be wowed like is this in Africa!
