Pepes: O wow! Did you give birth in the states? I gathered most pple called for interview either gave birth or over stayed at some point, just make sure you carry all you documents and all. Goodluck nope i didnt give birth or over stay. by over stay do you mean stay past the 6 months on my i94? nope never did and never plan to over stay anywhere , i love to travel and enjoy places for as long as legally possible since im self employed and have the luxury of time and then go straight back home... i had long vacays of like 2 months and 4 months at different times within the 2 yrs. its probably why i'm being called in for an interview to explain. |

good day, i just got an email to pick up my passport yesterday evening and when i did this morning i was put on hold/refused under the 221g category and asked to book a follow up appointment. i just logged in now and im unable to see any time or date to select. please help. thanks.
Also, it says to schedule within 2 business days from the date on the letter which is the 25th but i only just got notified to pick up on the 29th around 4pm and i just picked up today could that be the reason why there are no dates coming up for me to select and what could i do as it wasnt my fault. regards. |

LizzyB09: Hi All,
It was nice reading through the thread. I pray we will all have reasons to testify this year.
I have been TTC since over 10 years with no avail, have tried in Canada twice. Can someone advise the best hospital to do ivf in Nigeria as i dont have much time/ I will be 40 this year and planning to use my sister as donor.
Thank you for prompt response Hi, My own suggestions would be nordica or olive branch in Lagos. Nordica because I went there and got a BFP to the glory of God on first attempt, even if I didn't I was very satisfied with their professionalism, experience and wealth of knowledge. Olive branch cos I've read a lot of positive feedback about them online and also heard directly from some one who used them. Above all its God who grants the blessings of the fruit of the womb and we can't but seek Him earnestly for it even as we venture into medicine. Best wishes and may He in His mercies and graciousness crown your efforts with great success in Jesus name. Cheers |

mamakendra: @ ripvanwink, what if couple A did not achieve conception and couple B does. But with only couple A's embryo implanted, do you think that after the tests are done, that couple B will give up their only surviving child after years and stress of TTC, without a fight? The reason people may not consider this approach, may be because of the legal and ethical issues surrounding this very controversial approach. I will rather adopt and rest, than go through this coller coaster of emotions. My opinion though I concur. My thoughts exactly. Just imagine that only one embryo clicks in couple B and that's the one that belongs to A. The time B would use to try again, she would use it to be carrying another person's child that she would end up giving away at birth. This approach could turn out more disastrous than trying urself and getting a bfn. If one can afford a surrogate at the same time trying herself this increases their chances greatly but of course it's more expensive and on the flip side if both surrogate and woman get bfn na double tragedy. God forbid bad thing. |

Wife went to hospital(UCH, Ibadan) and was told to the some scan and result. after all was done, we were referred to an Gynaecologist at Gynae clinic but the consultant gave us an appointment(27/12/2016) which is too long. Can someone pls interprete this result to us and what is the solution?
SCAN ---------
L.M.P 25/10/2016
Normal, smooth-walled bladder. No debris The uterus is bulky/normal sized Uterus is 37mm AP 44mm TS 82mm LS Fibrods : mm subserous, intramural fibroids in the ant. & post. wall, body of uterus and also in the fundus Endometrium is normal Ovaries : R 47 x 38 x 31mm = 28.8cc L 41 x 24 x 27mm = 13.8 cc Normal POD : No fluid collection
DIAGNOSIS : PCOD
TEST ----------
Nature of specimen : HUS, ECS Investigation required : MCS
Laboratory report --------------------- Gram (H&E) : Gram Positive cocci Gram negative bacilli
Wet Prep(HVS) : No Trichomonas vaginalis or yeast cell seen
ECS : Chlamydia trichomatics rapid kit test - negative
Culture(H&E) : No pathogen isolated after 48hrs incubation I'm no doctor but what I can detect from the above is that the uterus is bulky cos of fibroids but the sizes were not mentioned. The subserousal ones are outside and intramural are within the muscles. Luckily no mention of submucous fibroids which are the ones in the endometrium that can prevent pregnancy. No liquid in pod Pouch of Douglas whicgh is great! The fundus is the top part of the womb but the fibroids located there are inside d wall. I believe the fibroids are of no major concern for ferility that's why it was not mentioned in the conclusive diagnosis. PCOD is polycystic ovarian disease also popularly known as PCOS Polycystic ovarian syndrome. You can google up on that. It's nothing too scary depending on the degree of it. So many women with it still get pregnant and have their children safely. For the test part I'd say no yeast infection, no chlamydia. Also the gram positive cocci is a bacteria infection either streptococcus or staph which can be treated with antibiotics. I'm not too sure though about this one, I believe you should both see a doctor for the gram positive cocci cos it could be contagious and treat with antibiotics ASAP. Please don't take every of my words for it just see a general physician as soon as you can. Na condition/research turn me to google doc lmao |

henmaris: My dear sisters, ive been going via alot since i announced my bfp. Unfortunately I lost my baby, had a missed miscarriage. I wouldn't wish ohss even to my enemy, ive been through hell.I had severe cramps n went to emergency n an untrasound was done only to find out my baby no longer had a heartbeat n had stopped growing at 6w5days. Before then the emergency had turned to my home due to OHSS. I had a worst case of it and bad news is it gets worst with pregnancy so i was in extreme pain. Breathing was a nightmare, had no sleeping position n was loosing my mind but yet i kept resisting just to ensure baby stays ok after reading from different sites how its a good sign n shows all is great. One night i almost lost my breath n DH rushed me to the hospital n guess what? 6.5litres of fluid was drained from my tummy. I looked 9 months pregnant. The draining was not painful n i was told it had no effect on baby since it was done by sending a catheter at one side of my stomach. The draining brought instant relief n after staying in the hospital for 3 days just to get fluids intravenously n for monitoring purpose,i was discharged. The same night i was discharged i started having severe cramps,y it started when i left the hospital i cant tell. I mean the cramps were so severe dat i couldn't sleep for days,i called the hospital severally n they kept assuring me it was normal and i should take tylenol but i guess they were assuming it was the light cramping in early pregnancy. After 3 days i couldn't take it anymore n sadly enough my bloating n OHSS had started again so i went back to the emergency. They checked everything n my beautiful foetus looked great besides the fluid build up again so i had to go in again for another draining. This time around,4.5litres of fluid was drained n i felt relieved from the bloating but the cramping didn't go yet the hospital found no reason for the cramps n concluded it may be bc my ovaries were still swollen from stims n egg retrieval so i was sent home. The entire week was a nightmare, with no sleep n cramping. I had an appointment for an ULTRASOUND at 7weeks only to be told baby stopped growing at 6w5d n there wasnt a heartbit. I was ask to wait for a week n return which i did n what was supposed to be 8weeks still showed baby was still at same 6w5d with no heartbit so i was told i had a missed miscarriage and baby will eventually pass out. I was given 3 options: to wait for my body to expell it naturally, take medication to induce miscarriage or a dnc. I opted to wait, after waiting for two weeks with all the signs of pregnancy such as sore boobs, metallic taste in mouth etc getting worst instead of decreasing,i opted for medication so i could relief myself n feel normal. Before taking the meds i went for another US on friday oct 7th which was supposed to be 10weeks pregnant to ensure it was actually over and got same results confirmed, baby at 6w5d with no heartbeat.i was prescribed misoprostol to insert vaginally (warning :TMI) gosh that night i had the worst crams ever,im used to cramps due to endometriosis but that one was something ive never felt before. 4 hours after inserting the meds i saw tissues come out of my body,i bleed lumps,oh dear was it heartbreaking,I cried to c my baby pass out but i thank God all this will soon be over so i can be myself again and look forward to whats next. OHSS may not be the cause of my lost but my dear sisters ensure u never get it as much as u can,i was stimulated just for 8 days with very small dose of puregon yet i got OHSS n went via all these trauma just to come out emty handed. Ive wept n cried my life throughout this month but i know its well reason y im brave enough to share my story. Good luck to everyone,i will give myself time to recover before considering to do a FET with my remaining embryos n who knows Gods plan. I look forward to tomorrow bc i believe MY SORROWS R ACTUALLY TRANSPORTATION TO GREATER THINGS AHEAD (Joel Osteen). Baby dust to us all. Oh dear! So sorry about everything. I pray the great comforts you and your family at this time in Jesus name! There is a glorious light at the end of this dark tunnel. The night is over and your joy has come in the matchless name of Jesus. *bighugs* |

Hi, I had the operation done in London and it was just a day in hospital and I was home the next day. No prep at all to go in for the surgery. According to the surgeon it was severe scarring as a result of the myomectomy I had in Nigeria. Been adviced to have ivf done immediately. I just recently had an adhesiolysis procedure done laparoscopically and hysteroscopically with a Foley balloon catheter in for weeks after the procedure kept in to prevent adhesions which has been taken out now and adviced to have an ivf procedure asap. ayashow: Where do I start dis from.I have no one to talk to and it feels like God has refused to hear my cries.
After a week of vomiting and stooling only water every second with very painful stomach pains that I wldnt wish on my enemy.I was rushed to the clinic...diagnosed of ULCER.to say I was shocked is an understatement.I never imagined I would have it.
Why I'm so sad is because too much fasting led to it.d nite the pain started I had just broken my fast.I weep so much as I type this, fasting and prayer has always been the only weapon that I have ever known to solve every problem or so i think.... Whenever something bothers me I fast and pray.
I have fasted and prayed a lot for God to bless me with a child but instead I had ulcer.the pain is so unbearable at nite....It all just makes me so sad and i feel betrayed.
Despite my fasting and prayers I suffer a lot,it's hard to feed dat I don't feel hunger anymore ,I have only one slippers, all my clothes are worn out, when I go out I have to walk some miles home because of transport fare.and the most painful of it all no child almost 5 years of ttc.despite that fact, i dont even have moni to treat the problems causing my infertility.then now another illness which is eating the little moni hubby kept.I rily pity hubby.he's trying so hard for us and nothing is just not working.just yesterday he had a little accident with his boss car and hit the bumper of the car in front of him and d owner refused to hear our pleas.he said dh must repair his car.
Hmm,I'm tired of everything, where do we get 30k from to repair car when we can barely feed.ha ! I'm trying hard not to say words that I don't know if it will offend God,but God I tot they said you r merciful, why is ur mercy far from me.I just want to sleep and not wake up sometimes.I don't understand my purpose.
Please my sisters what do I do,I'm confused, depressed and I feel like there is no helper Please sisters I need help.I'm at the edge and I'm slipping off
Its too hard surviving like this and to commit suicide na sin. Pls sisters what do I do. The only thing that can console me right now is a bfp.I feel so worthless
Yes my sisters.I never tot I would do this but I need your help.if u can't help me for money for food .Pls I beg you help me to get pregnant.that wld be my greatest joy.to feel a baby growing in my womb. I've never done hsg because I've never been able to save for it.
I was diagnosed of pcos in march when I was rushed to the clinic for stomach pain.I have leaking boobs.no moni to treat it. They said God is the ultimate healer.I still keep calling on him for help and I await it every single day.
Many things to do that I feel that if I try them I will become pregnant.or maybe it's not my time yet,but when will my time be?
I'm tired. Aaaw sweetheart so sorry about everything. For me I have noticed that just when I'm about to give up or mess up that's when my blessing is aroundthe corner. Evil forces know how tooverwhelm one with all sorts just so u mess up andgiveup. Please don't joy always comes in the morning especially for us in Christ Jesus. Don't give up on God cos He'll never give up on u. Maybe u should switch things up a bit and do more of rejoicing, praise and thanksgiving like you can see the answers to ur prayers already. He inhabits the praises of His people. Bring His presence into your home strongly with praise especially in these times that it's harder to do so. Our joy is here! without a doubt. |

berexio1: For those who have relatives in Canada, bear in mind that their status over there can affect ur application especially if the person came in through study route and has overstayed. For PR relatives, this might be looked at differently.
My advise is to leave out the person's details on ur family form. He is in canada already so I don't see you inviting him over. Cheers! It can also be dangerous to leave the name of your sibling out cos he/she could also have listed u in their family form when they were leaving. All that data is stored on their system. Better to tell the truth and let them do their worst or it can be used against u and u can't easily fix that like u would if u were rejected for insufficient funds. |

What I have said consistently is that all study permit applications are processed in Ghana (Online & Paper) which is true, until such a time CIC says otherwise. When I replied @Thebae that CALA was online route and GHAN being paper route I was refering specifically to study permit applications only. Yea maybe after your passport has been requested for it is then sent to Ghana for the stamping. But I believe some of us especially those who applied online or are applying for a spousal open work permit have their applications worked on in Lagos then maybe Ghana for final decision. Well all that's not important to me, if dem like send am to Timbuktoo or Kafanchan e don't matter. Except when u are this close to resumption and u are concerned about how long it will take for your passport to be dispatched. |
