I've noticed something about our people. It's something that I've seen play out here for a long time.

People will drag you to any level once an opportunity pops its head just so they can feel a measure of satisfaction that you are no better than them.

I remember e-fighting for a female Nairalander, Flycaa, I think.

It just got me really pissed how people were hating on her. Some even tagged me single and frustrated.


What Mariangel did is what I would do if I had the energy. Even that epistle I typed, I know how I forced myself to do so. There's simply not enough time lately.

I have never, and I pray never to be caught calling anyone a thief or calling names because they're allegedly busted.

what I found surprising the most is that that nobody even posted this way, except Jesusgirl that said 'what if he was the one that posted the pictures' and coco that really questioned him to clarify if he had a link with the pictures or not.

Nairalanders have issues in all honesty, they are the ones that started saying 'foreign site' 'not even an English site' hammering on foreign as if there's a difference if it was a blog in burundi that a picture was lifted from, the guy decided to come out and explain and it turned to 'nobody cares who you are' of course they care if not they won't be saying he's being defended because of bla bla bla


When chasers was saying 'How do I explain this', 'I have a link to that blog', 'the picture was taken Feb 2' did they listen no they didnt, I would have expected that at this point majority should have asked for further clarifications but only few did.

Now they are saying it's because it's chasers and because there's the word foreign people are defending him so because it was not from a Nigerian blog and it's not ogbono we shouldn't try to defend him when he has come out clearly to say he has a connection with the food, What kind of reasoning is that?

Did the people accused initially come out after much grilling to say they have a link with the food they lifted from the Internet after the accusation? NO and that's the major difference between the past matters and this one and that's why I am defending him.


The point is even if chasers post pictures of himself and Maria eating that same meal they will still say he's showing off and still call his defence crappy, for me at this point is not even about the picture or not it's about the attitude on this thread.

I have never spoken to Chasers on this thread before. I am more of an observer than an active poster. I just don't have it in me to take pictures of food and upload. I can't even do it to lose extra weight (if you know, you know).

While I am of the personal opinion that some people go "overboard" in their tweaking and posting of pictures, I honestly really don't care that much. It is their life and whatever makes them happy, they are allowed to do. It makes me happy too, sometimes.

About Chasers, just by following his posts on this thread, I could deduce he has some serious European (Italian) background. I have met very few Italians...God, those people are passionate about food... Healthy food and wine.

It's a no-brainer really. The moment I opened my followed topics for this thread and landed on the page where he was being accused of stealing food from a foreign website owned by a Maria Ceraza..... in my mind, I just said "na them them." I just instinctively had this feeling they were connected to each other the moment I read Maria is of Italian background.

Surely, there's got to be a connection. Anyway, the ameboo in me didn't rest. So I went back to the origin. I saw the food he was being accused of plagiarizing ... Surely, I have seen better designs with his signature on here, so why would he steal something like that? the story wasn't adding up. Then I saw a picture he posted of a white female, I saw the hair pattern, and I felt 80% sure that was Maria Ceraza.....

About the comments saying the thread is all about "Cooking in your kitchen" Have you considered changing the topic to "Cook in a kitchen?" Because, I don't see any difference between food that I cooked in my kitchen and the one I cooked in my workplace. All of them are my food ooo. It's I who cooked them. PERIOD.

About the comments saying that he should have said he took the breakfast pix MONTHS before...
Ermmm, so if (for instance), me and Mariangeles are gisting on this thread and she says stuff like "Coli, I've not had lunch, gimme lunch na." Then I post that my "ewa agoyin" that I cooked about 5 months ago, and I say to Maria "Oya come let's have lunch together"... Are you saying I must say that I took the picture months ago, otherwise....?

I think what should matter most is "Did you cook this food or not?" Any other explanation you choose to give or withhold is your business. No one is owed explanations or a lack thereof.

Now, we have shifted from saying he stole internet pictures (because he clearly made the food) to saying .........

I hope this is not a case of "We must nail him by force by fire"

Was she wrong to state what she observed? No. Did she insult Chasers? No. I don't think she has nothing better to do than sit down and ravage the internet for food photos stolen. Neither have I seen her call out anyone here before. Or has my memory failed me?

She obviously stumbled across Chasers food online and went digging further. If it were me that responded the way Chasers did at first, will you all let me off just like that? It may not be the case in this case, but such an attitude kills off all originality, when you can simply steal. There are a million and one beautiful pictures to be posted from online food blogs. You can create another thread for that

The way you’re always kissing up to people in this thread, though. She owes him no apology. The picture he posted was found on a website. When he posted it he should've done the proper thing by stating that it belonged to him, if it actually does, since people check for these things online. When he was questioned about it he should've cleared the air right there as well, not avoid the issue. Last last, no proof that the picture belongs to him. Why post a picture dated February 2018 from that website when it's now September and pass it as breakfast you're having "this morning?". That's already deceit on its own right there, making whether it's actually his questionable. But whatever, some people post anything for show and likes.
