Speculations and anxiety everywhere.. Its expected tho but I can say for sure that no date has been fixed yet (or known yet) tho the rumors of cadet call up smells all over the HQ but no one has any idea of when exactly the call would come.
General expectations point towards early February because it's expected to be concluded before the elections and i hope it happens so.
The general response I get is that it's coming soon and comes suddenly, be patient and prepared.
Everyone including I expected it to be this month but apparently they have their own plans.
Just stay put and distract yourselves with other things.
It would come in due time.

Congrats Kaizer86, you've been of importance to this thread and I wish you all the best if eventually you end up in the air force tho I know your mind is fully with the Dss.

Noting for this week guys pls read tru the thread.. Before u make comments so u dont just fil it up without educating or informing... Small gist guys do u know becos of the rush the have reduced aso rank to chief detective rather than aso. Some people will argue that oh elections are so close who will train cadets... The are people whose job description is just yo train officers and prospectives. If UV followed d thread 2014 cadets we're in camp during elections.. It was after elections they had that issue of people being kicked out few weeks to pop.. So rest ur mind before weekend of first week cadets will b in camp.

Hope y'all are having a wonderful holiday celebration..its pretty obvious that the call is almost here and by God's grace we'd get there..my Ernest prayer is everyone who has waited this long does not get disappointed in the end.
Lets just get prepared cause no one specifically knows when the call would come. The only clue right now is that the signal starts coming from a Thursday which is about 3 days to camp date as observed from the previous Cadres but as for the exact date or period no one knows.
So it's best adviced to stay prepared right now.

Been a long time I came on here
I have some information to share. Came and stumbled upon the news of the cadet recruitment being called off. But that's not true.
Nothing has been called off as they are still working with the recruitment process.
Many including i were of the mindset that since the year is about ending so definitely camp should be this December but chances are that it might not be except something changes within now and next week.
According to what I was told some time ago was that it would be in BATCHES starting from the lowest cadre.
Guards moved October.
Detectives moved last month.
Aso are expected to move next week Sunday and if they eventually do it Simply meaning that cadets are moving come January 2019.
One thing is certain by God's grace. All Cadres would be mobilized before the elections that's for certain.
Like it was stated.
It would be in batches so let's wait and see.
Delay is not denial.

The house is quiet, pls i want to verify certain things here some which have asked before but i want us to delibrate on it together. Pls if u av idea on any kindly share;

1. Does SIO means State Inspector Officer or Senior Inspector Officer? my opinion on it is that it should be senior inspector officer but someone argued otherwise.

2. Is it true that they allow candidate to use phones on sundays? how true is it? a detective friend of mine that is in camp presently his fone didnt go through on sunday wen i called him.

3. Does DSS pay in camp?

4. Will the candidate have chance to watch EPL matches at their maami market becos i know DSS they might not allow ?

Finally the list below can not be for SIO, i believe it will be more than that (my opinion) and if it is pls share your idea.

But what I mean by top men are those senior management level officers in the service who happen to be friends with the current govt in charge. They are also trying to fix one or two persons of their own into the service now that they have the opportunity to cause no one knows what could happen after the elections.
That's why they would try their possible best to meet up before the elections so that incase things go otherwise after the elections. Tho there are no guarantees. But I have a positive feeling they'd meet up.
Make we dey hope dey pray and stay positive.

In 2012 it was hijacked by politicians,2014 same tin altho that was sorted out but did they revist d old recruitment list of awaiting candidates? nope..2016 we all know cadets left without detectives nd that was end of that, I stand to be corrected but am dropping facts,it's more or less feels like they prioritized the major spots d need to fill and work with that. Like I said I still believe and hope for d best but I'm also expecting d worst..

You're right on this..
But this year's recruitment is a very strategic one due to the fact that it comes before an election year. And most recruitments done before an election year are usually followed to the end so that those who it won't favour after the elections won't lose.
That was why a lot of people were weeded out of camp in 2015.

And a source told me it would be done according to cadre due to the funds issue but in the end everyone would be called before the year runs out.
So let's stay positive.

Cadets are yet to be called so y'all should chill.
The call up was to be done according to cadre
Between now and December a lot could happen as the agency is trying its best to meet up with the recruitment due to the fact that a lot of top men have people on the list and no one knows what could happen after the elections.
So fingers crossed and pray to be called up when the time comes.

According to the info I got.. every cadre would be called starting from guards to Detectives up to Cadets.
