Great! Then you should know that the rules made by the school is unconstitutional, remember what the Constitution says about freedom of association and forming of organizations?

But in all, the mischievous rules favours Islam the most.
baba, we're talking of a School environment here, if those association threatens the security and peace of the school nko?

What is wrong, is wrong. Don't defend them. When things fall apart, you won't be spared. Condemn a wrong move.
if the associations are not threatening the peace of the sch they wouldn't have banned them. Did u notice that it's not only Religious groups that was banned? But u singled out that of Religion cos of what i don't even know.

Objectivity requires that no religious group be excluded from gathering, period!
even when the gathering threatens security of lives and properties? Just like the shiites

Is Christianity practised in isolation? On what basis will Christian associations be banned? Where is d fellowship of brethren if they cannot gather in peace? It's obvious u only support or even excuse ds madness because u are most likely one of them.
of course this is what you'll resort to, I've asked you in your last post what Muslims that belong to other Muslim groups do about this development. It doesn't stop other Muslim groups from observing their prayers in the mosques but prevents them from forming associations. Be objective just as you told me earlier

They can inculcate sharia if they so wish but not to the exclusion of other faiths. That is tantamount to declaring a state religion which is expressly forbidden by d constitution. Is Katsina now immune to constitutional provisions? What then happens to the indigenous Christians who should also attend that uni?
do u realise there are other Muslim groups apart from MSSN in Nigeria? What should they do den? Be objectivd freeze

You are just screaming up and down about the UNI being owned by the state.

First, the UNI is funded and operated by the state government (money from tax payers) which makes it a public University. They cannot just wake up one day and formulate biased laws which favors a certain religion as the school belongs to a state governed by a secular country.

Secondly, Nigeria is a secular state. So where are you getting all this sharia trash from?
do u realize there are other Muslim groups apart from MSSN? What are they supposed to do then?

Must you comment on every topic? Why don't you read and pass if you don't know what to say on this particular topic or maybe go to romance section? At your age you don't know there are indigenous Christian communit in every state in the northern Nigeria Katsina inclusive? What happened to the indigenous Christians from the state
Uncle know all, I'm presently in Katsina State and this place is predominantly inhabited by Muslims, unlike states like Kaduna, Adamawa and Taraba. They're mostly hausas and fulanis.

....they have indigenous christains in all core northern states...I live in the core north and sharia law is hardly practised and very optional and is not inforced on non-muslim......katsina do have a large christain population that are indigenous, so i see no reason how u can inforce that on the christain population....To do that they should just name the school an islamic institution so that all doubts will be cleared
brother that is not true, katsina does not have a large christian population, I'm currently serving in the state, Daura LG precisely, they have only 3 or 4 churches here and mostly attended by corp members. If you had talked about Kaduna, Adamawa, Taraba i would have agreed but Katsina, no no no, they're mainly Hausas and Fulanis.

And where do the states draw their funds from? That monthly allocation to states is from where? Are there no Christians in that state? Has the constitution designated any state in Nigeria as bound by any one religion?

You don't there should be any problem? How about if they also ban churches and all non muslim organisations state-wide, u feel there's no problem right? Please be objective! It will not kill u to admit the truth once in a while no matter ur political and religious leaning.
sincerely speaking I'm not okay with the step the sch took. But then when you look at it from another point of view, you'll discover there's nothing wrong in what they have done. There must have been issues sorrounding the announcement. Mind you, the school didn't ban Christians from practising their religion, they're only banned from forming any associations.

Are the non-indigenes not NIGERIANS?
exactly what I'm saying, why didn't they say because they're Nigerians they should the same fees with Indigenes. The State Universities choses whatever comforms with their law, as long as it's in the confinement of their laws (Sharia and our Constitution)

....Is a lie and a very big one...state and federal constitution are not different...Nigeria been secular is reflected in all states wether sokoto, gombe or Abia.....this is no church or muslim institution. It is a gov institution....This is no saudi or sudan
grin do u know there is provision for the enforcement of Sharia law in those states? We're too hypocrytical in this country. Carry your bottle of gulder or ask your babe to dress anyhow in Kano and tell them you're a Nigerian, hence, you can wear whatever you deem okay anywhere. grin

Even if it's a state uni are Nigerian states not funded by the FG? Is Nigeria no longer a secular country?
what do you have to say about state universities that allow their indigenes to pay less compared to what non indigenes pay. Are we not all Nigerians?

....yes if its state, its still gov owned and i know there are katsina christains....so what are u saying
now you're shifting from "it's a Fed Uni to a Gov Uni now ba", since it's a state owned Uni i don't think there should be any problems with whatever they want.

State ya, its a government uni period. Not private. Nigeria is not an islamic country!!!!
baba, I'm not trying to justifu their action o. But i think they have the jurisdiction to inculcate Sharia law into the governance of the school if they deem it fit. I think Kwara State University allow their Indigenes to pay lesser school fees compared to non-indigenes, this in my opinion falls under the same category with banning of any Christian Activities around the school. My submission

Guy just take a look at what u wrote all those universities are private christain schools i repeat private. Umar musa universities is for all nigerians not for one religion group imagine uniben, oau, unn,ui and other schools not in the north stopping all muslim organisation. Just think
you're equally wrong my brother. The Uni is State owned sir.

slowpoke, those are private Unis, the issue at hand is a Federal Uni being financed by tax payers.
you're even insulting someone else when you're also ignorant of what you claimed. The Uni is state owned not Federal Uni. Searching for it on google wouldn't take more dan a minute. Get ur facts right b4 posting things so as not to look funny.

Let's assume u right on that. I don't support that but it's private. Is this school a privately funded school? Something is not right with our current religious tolerance.
the school is state owned, and since they practice sharia law, i think it's understandable to some extent.

that's not true. That University is a State Uni not Federal. It was just named after the Ex Governor of the State.
