Please , take the time to research a moniker on NL, search for the number and ask the person to quote you on NL. In addition , ask for a vouch or use an escrow. Don’t be in a hurry to close a trade!

The only time I got taken here, I asked for a quote and I got it. Everything checked out. Number on signature, past transactions etc
Turned out the nairaland account was hacked( had been for a week, presumably). The moment the paypal left my account I knew that I was the maga. Didn't help that it was an attractive female moniker - felt like a honeytrap.

As for escrow, I hate to impose.

So now I just use my spidey sense.(jk)

Commendable yes but finally all na story.
Given the chance again, the situation would play out in the same way. Or maybe not.

My point is this is a rich kid with money to play around with. Even if he had won the bid, how is that a coup? He played to lose when he could also have played to win. There's a reason bids almost always go to the highest bidders. Even a 10 year old knows that.
