Hebrews 4:10–11 …he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His. Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest... A baby learns to sit first before he starts to stand and walk. The Christian life also begins with sitting. God “raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus”. (Ephesians 2:6) How well we walk after that depends on how well we sit and rest in the finished work of Christ. The promised land was a land of rest where God promised His people “large and beautiful cities which you did not build, houses full of all good things, which you did not fill, hewn-out wells which you did not dig, vineyards and olive trees which you did not plant”. (Deuteronomy 6:10–11) But for 40 years, God’s people wandered in the wilderness because they refused to believe that God had given them a land where everything had been prepared—the work was finished. They could not believe that God had given them a land full of good things to enjoy, a land which just flowed with His abundant supply. Today, there are believers who still cannot believe that the work of Jesus is truly complete and finished. They are trying to complete a completed work, finish a finished work and defeat a defeated devil. There are believers today who are always working and trying to produce their healing, success and victory. God wants us to stop trying and start trusting in His love for us. He wants us to stop working and struggling, and start resting and believing in His grace toward us. The only “work” left for us to do today is to enter His rest. We are to labor every day to enter His rest. We are to rest inwardly and believe that the work is done because it is a finished work, and trust in God’s undeserved favor toward us. We are to rest in Jesus our true ark, who will carry us through tempestuous waters. So today, “if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts…be diligent to enter that rest”. (Hebrews 4:7, 11) Let’s enter His rest. Let’s enjoy sitting together with Christ in the heavenly places, then we will run and not be weary! (Isaiah 40:31) Thought For The Day How well we walk depends on how well we sit and rest in Christ’s finished work. www.josephprince.org/daily-grace/grace-inspirations/single/your-work-is-to-enter-his-rest/ |

johnw74:Why are u still lying against a man of God like this? i always go to Jack Kelley's website and he is an excellent teacher of the Bible and the Holy Spirit is really using him. The Jack i know did not answer the question like that.... he didn't say you can ignore the Holy Spirit or live a life of sin when you are saved....... you are just trying to tarnish his image here... Continue, you hear me?.... on the last day, all of you attacking the message of Grace will answer to Jesus at the Bema Seat of CHRIST and explain to Him why you people are negating His Finished work on the Cross.. Continue, you hear? Jack Kelley is trying to explain that faith & belief is what is only needed for our Salvation and u just twisted the whole issue here....... |
johnw74:Careful of what i contribute to Jesus CHRIST? Can u just hear yourself? I SAID IT AND I AM SAYING IT AGAIN!!!! ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED!!! So what do you think Apostle Paul was saying in all his epistles? He was telling us about the ASSURANCE of our Salvation in CHRIST!!! If you don't understand Jack Kelly's teachings, that's your own cup of tea!!! You have to understand the context he answered those questions. You need to have an open mind & also ask the Holy Spirit to open your eyes while reading, to understand the message of Grace.... But wait oo, why do you people always attack the Gospel of Grace? And always condemn the men of God that preaches it?!!!!! The devil have really blinded you people!!! Listen, the Gospel of Grace is the Real Gospel!! It is the Truth that will make you reign in life just as CHRIST wants us to be!!! Look there is no BUTS in the Good NEWS else its no longer good news!!! It is either CHRIST done it or it is you that saved yourself!!! No more mixing Grace with the Law!!! Why do you people keep belittling the finished work of CHRIST on the Cross !!! This is an insult to the Almighty God!! What can u do to save yourself!!!! You called me Deluded I guess you don't really know me in this section. I don't suffer fooools easily oo. Check my previous threads how i dealt with your kind. You don't want to fall into my trap, please be warned!! I no send anybody here!!! The Gospel of Grace of Jesus CHRIST has to be heard by people!!!! |
analice107:Am sorry to hear dat.... If he denounced CHRIST and stopped believing in Him, then that means he has rejected CHRIST and renounced his faith, he threw away his salvation.I pray God brings him back, its a pity, i feel for him ...... But what i am trying to say is a case where someone was zealous for the Lord at the beginning and maybe along the line, he kind of relaxed & was not vibrant again. He might even stop attending Church for some time but in His heart of heart, he still believe that CHRIST died for his sins and he still acknowledge Him as his Lord and Saviour, my brother that person is still SAVED. To men, he is not saved cos men look at the outward but to God, he is SAVED cos God looks at the heart. Salvation is not about what you do, but it is about what you Believe. It is God that keeps us to be SAVED, not ourselves. Mind you, i don't say this because i encourage a sinful lifestyle. Far from it!!! Sin is still a big issue with God even the smallest sin. But Christ's death on the Cross changes everything for humanity. Now when a person accepts CHRIST as His Lord & Saviour, God imputes him with His righteousness that CHRIST purchased for us at the Cross..Now whenever God looks at the person, He sees CHRIST cos we are His righteousness..... But when man looks at the person, he still sees the same old person cos mankind looks at the outward while God looks at the inside. It is our Spirit that is born again not our flesh. On the last day, there will be so many surprises cos the people u might not consider to be SAVED by human standard will enter the kingdom, there's nothing impossible for God to do. So that's why i don't judge people by their appearance or what they do cos i don't know their relationship with God. Have a good nite bro. |
A Bible Study by Jack Kelley Hal Lindsey once speculated that at his judgment Satan hurled two accusations at God. “You’re not just and You have no love.” In past studies we have seen how God demonstrated His perfect justice through Israel and His perfect love through the Church. In this study, we’ll talk about a time in the future when both perfect justice and perfect love will govern the lives of people on Earth. Israel lived under an absolutely just system of law. It was clear and concise, made no exceptions, and showed no favoritism. There was blessing for obedience and punishment for disobedience in an obvious cause and effect relationship. What they did determined what they got. God said to them, “Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession. Although the whole earth is mine, you will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.” (Exodus 19:5-6 ) The Church has showcased the incomparable riches of God’s grace. We’re the most blessed of any group of humanity and the only thing asked of us is that we accept by faith the free gift of salvation, purchased in advance for us with God’s own life. Yes, God is pleased if we live our lives in a manner that expresses our gratitude to Him, and rewards us for doing so, but the only thing He requires is that we believe in the one He has sent. Then they asked Him, “What must we do to do the work God requires?” He answered, “The work of God is this, to believe in the one He has sent” ( John 6:28-29 ). In the Kingdom Age believers will be saved by faith, like the Church, but will be required to keep the Law as evidence of their belief, like Israel. I say this because it’s pretty clear that salvation by grace through faith alone will end with the rapture of the Church. Otherwise there would be no need for a temple in Israel during the Millennium, with all nations being required to make an annual pilgrimage to Israel to observe the Feast of Tabernacles ( Zech. 14:16-19 ). Also, Isaiah 2:2-3 says all nations will stream to the Lord’s Temple. The Lord will teach them His ways and they will walk in His paths, and the Law (Torah) will go out from Zion and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. Therefore, perfect justice and perfect love will be combined. This will be God’s final answer to Satan and His final attempt to dwell among His people in peace. Will it work, or like Israel and the Church before it, will the Kingdom Age end in failure? We’ve only talked about Law and Grace but there were actually four other attempts at peaceful coexistence between God and man leading up to them. For a complete understanding of man’s history with his Creator, we’ll need to review these others as well. They’re called dispensations, or administrations, and all together there are seven of them. The 7 Dispensations Throughout history God has dealt with His people in different ways as part of the process of revealing His character. Each of these dispensations has begun with an agreement between God and man that man subsequently violated, ending the relationship in failure and requiring a judgment from God. 1) Innocence … Between the Creation and the Fall of Man God interacted freely and personally with man. Man was created immortal and while he had agency (the power of choice) he didn’t have a sin nature. God placed Adam and Eve in His garden and gave them only one restriction. They were not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. But they violated this restriction and were expelled from the Garden. Adam, Eve, and the Serpent were all judged, the Creation was cursed, and sin entered the world. 2) Conscience … Between the Fall of Man and the Great Flood God allowed man’s conscience to rule without Divine interference. Because of man’s newly acquired sin nature, the result of this was “the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” (Genesis 6:5 ) After repeated warnings, God destroyed all but 8 members of the Human race in the Great Flood. 3) Human Government … from Noah to the Tower of Babel. After the Flood, God allowed man to establish his first system of government. But the people disobeyed God’s commandment to go forth and replenish the Earth, setting about instead to build a great city and a tower to protect themselves from another flood. They also used the tower to study astrology, a corruption of the Gospel that God had written in the stars using the names of 12 constellations. So God gave each of the 70 families of man a unique language that other families weren’t able to understand. This caused confusion and distrust among the people and they drifted apart to be scattered through out the world, and God destroyed the tower. 4) Promise … God set Abraham’s descendants apart as His Chosen People and promised Abraham and Sarah a son through whom He said He would bless the world. But they grew tired of waiting for Him to keep His promise, and produced a son on their own, calling him Ishmael. Later, when God gave them Isaac, the son He had promised, Ishmael was sent away causing bad blood between Ishmael (Arabs) and Isaac (Jews) that continues to this day. 5) Law … from Mt. Sinai to Pentecost. After God brought the Israelites out of Egypt, He gave Moses the 10 Commandments and offered the Israelites the land He had promised to Abraham along with a life of peace and plenty if they obeyed His Law. After 2000 years of vacillating between obedience and rebellion that resulted in them rejecting the Messiah, God finally had enough, expelled them from their land, and dispersed them throughout the world. (But not forever. The Dispensation of Law was interrupted seven years short of its allotted time. After the Rapture, during the final 7 years, also known as Daniel’s 70th Week, Israel will have one final chance to live in obedience to God and accept their Messiah.) 6) Grace … The Church Age. No longer requiring that righteousness be earned through obedience to the Law, God imputed His own righteousness to man by grace through faith in the completed work of the Lord Jesus, promising eternal blessing and a place in His own house to all who accept. It was the most outrageously lavish gift ever bestowed, free for the asking. But by the end of the Age of Grace most of humanity will have rejected His gift, choosing instead to live on their own terms, betting that either God doesn’t exist, or if He does He’ll allow them into His kingdom anyway. After removing the relative few who have accepted His gift so they’ll be safe with Him, He’ll punish the rest through the most severe time of judgment ever visited on Earth. 7) Kingdom … the 1000 Year Reign of the Lord, also known as the Millennium. At its outset Satan will be bound, all unbelievers will be expelled from the planet, the curse will be removed, and God will once again dwell in the midst of His people. You’d think that finally man could live in a manner pleasing to Him. Whether he will or not is the subject of our study. Who Are You Calling A Failure ? Some in the Church might question the view that the Age of Grace has been a failure, but that’s because we’re among the few who have accepted the Lord’s free gift of pardon and will therefore enjoy its benefits. Remember, God’s desire is to reconcile us to Himself ( Colossians 1:19-20 ). He doesn’t want for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance ( 2 Peter 3:9 ). And yet over the last 2,000 years most people have turned down His gift and gone their own way. After doing everything He could, short of violating man’s free will and forcing him to accept the pardon He offered, most of mankind will have rejected Him. Can you blame Him for being so angry as to unleash the full fury of His wrath against them? Even in the Church, the response to God’s gift of eternal Life has been more apathy than adoration. When less than 10% of people who claim to be born again have adopted a Biblical world view, it’s clear that there’s been a serious disconnect between His gift and our gratitude. When compared to God’s desire the Age of Grace has been a failure. This is no more of a surprise to God than the outcome of His previous attempts. He doesn’t do things so He can see how we’ll respond. He already knows that. He does things so we can see how we’ll respond. Paul said every thing that was written in the past was written to teach us. (Romans 15:4 ) So far the lesson has been that no matter what God has done to draw us near, man is untrustworthy and rebellious, pushing God away and bringing judgment upon himself as a result. Now For The Kingdom Before we go on, let’s remind ourselves that the Church will be in the New Jerusalem during the Millennium and not on Earth. The people on earth will be Israel and surviving Gentiles from the Great tribulation, all believers, who will populate the nations. Still being in their natural state, they’ll soon be joined by the children they will bear. OK, so what about the Kingdom Age, will it be a failure too? A study of the Kingdom Age shows that at the beginning, life will be as close to heaven on earth as one could imagine. There will be peace on Earth and goodwill toward men, just like the angel promised to the shepherds on the night of the Lord’s birth (Luke 2:14 ). The creation, freed from the bondage of the curse, will be responding eagerly to mankind’s husbandry, with harvests so plentiful that it will be time for planting a new crop before they can finish bringing the old crop in (Amos 9:13 ). Perfect weather and overflowing bounty will make work a joy instead of a burdensome toil. Long life spans will return as sickness and disease again become rare occurrences ( Isaiah 65:20 ). “Once again men and women of ripe old age will sit in the streets of Jerusalem, each with cane in hand because of his age. The city streets will be filled with boys and girls playing there” (Zech. 8:4-5 ). This will be true throughout the world because the Lord will settle all disputes between the nations. They will not take up arms against each other, nor will they even train for war anymore ( Isaiah 2:4 ). Every man will sit under his own vine and under his own fig tree and no one will make them afraid ( Micah 4:4 ). The Bible only mentions one Temple in the Millennium. It will be in Israel and daily sacrifices will again be the norm, administered by the Levitical priesthood. The Millennial Temple will be quite different from the historical Temples. There will be no incense altar, no menorah, no ark of the covenant, and no wash basin. The veil between the Holy Place and the Holy of Holies will be replaced by a wooden screen, and the entire interior will be covered in wood rather than gold, as in former temples. Of the Levitical feasts, they will celebrate only Passover (no lamb), Unleavened Bread, and Tabernacles, with world wide representation only required for Tabernacles (Ezekiel 40-46 ). Although the Bible doesn’t say this, I imagine the rest of the world will utilize some form of the synagogue system of worship, first developed by Ezekiel during the Babylonian captivity and still in use today. We’re only given glimpses of the beginning and end of the Kingdom Age, but because of the shocking difference in the two, we can surmise that after a period of time things start going downhill fast. The Lord’s administration will be just but inflexible. He’ll rule them with a rod of iron and His punishment for disobedience will be harsh and swift. For example, nations who refuse to participate in the annual Feast of Tabernacles will not receive any rainfall (Zech. 14:16-19 ). But natural man has a sin nature and will eventually rebel against the Lord’s rule. Psalm 2 tells the story. Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the LORD and against his Anointed One. “Let us break their chains,” they say, “and throw off their fetters.” The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them. Then he rebukes them in his anger and terrifies them in his wrath, saying, “I have installed my King on Zion, my holy hill.” ( Psalm 2:1-6 ) Once again created beings will presume to free themselves from the rule of their Creator. But the King ruling the Earth was put there by God Himself, and that makes Him the King of their kings. Then He’ll remind them of their position in the hierarchy. I will proclaim the decree of the LORD : He said to me, “You are my Son; today I have become your Father. Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession. You will rule them with an iron scepter; you will dash them to pieces like pottery.” Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth. Serve the LORD with fear and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry and you be destroyed in your way, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed are all who take refuge in him. ( Psalm 2:7-12 ) In an event that was later modeled in the Biblical adoption ceremony (Galatians 4:4-7 ), the Father formally named His Son heir of His estate and bequeathed His inheritance to Him. All the nations are His, and He has the authority to rule them as He pleases. Man’s choice will be to obey or suffer the consequences. Obedience will be rewarded with blessing, but rebellion will bring destruction. We’re neither told how many will be saved during the Millennium, nor what their destiny will be. What we are told is at the end of the 1000 year Kingdom Age Satan will be freed and will have no trouble recruiting a large army from among the nations for one last attempt to regain his lost empire. He’ll find a ready audience for his deception and his army will soon be as numerous as the grains of sand on the seashore. From all over the world they’ll come to surround God’s people and His Holy City. But in one sudden burst of flame from Heaven they’ll be devoured and Satan will be cast into the Lake of Fire for eternity ( Rev. 20:7-10 ). Once again, man rebels, God judges and another Age ends in failure. Then the end will come, when he (Jesus) hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death. For he “has put everything under his feet” (Psalm 8:6 ). Now when it says that “everything” has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all. ( 1 Cor. 15:24-28 ) At that point, God’s response to Satan’s accusations will be complete, and His judgment will be final. Heaven and Earth will be purified. Eternity will begin, and God will reign supreme. Hallelujah! 02-28-15 https://gracethrufaith.com/end-times-prophecy/life-on-earth-in-the-millennium/#more-9086

johnw74:Why do you people always twist what a man of God says? Jack Kelley didn't say that. What he said was that once saved, we can't lose our Salvation cos of sin, that the Holy Spirit is sealed within us as a guarantee till the day of redemption of our body ( Rapture ). He teaches that the FINISHED WORK OF CHRIST on the Cross changed everything for Humanity and it is greater than Adam's Sin in the Garden of Eden. Since you don't believe in the Grace Gospel of CHRIST about ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED, i think you need to stay off this thread cos i FIRMLY believe in ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED. I believe in the finished work of CHRIST ....... And please to avoid unnecessary argument, don't quote me cos we can never agree...... Thank you... |
QUESTION. I was wondering if you could answer my question about religion. I am aware of a Higher Figure that laid out an archaic book that has been translated from several different languages and has been thoroughly disorganized to a point where people can no longer agree on what it says. I know some people say there’s a message called the gospel, or good news, contained in this book . Can you explain in simple terms what the gospel message is? ANSWER. I agree with you that man has done a good job of making religion seem complicated, but God made it simple. It doesn’t matter which translation of the Bible you read or what language you read it in. They all agree on four basic things. 1. There is a God who created you and will judge you according your behavior (Romans 1:18-20 ). 2. Knowing you couldn’t possibly survive such a judgment, He sent His Son to save you from the penalty set to be levied against you (Colossians 2:13-14 ). 3. His Son died in your place and then rose again to prove that His death was sufficient to pay this penalty in full (1 Cor. 15:3-4, Romans 10:9-10 ). 4. Everyone who believes the Son of God died for them will not perish but will have everlasting life (John 3:16 ). Every legitimate translation states these things clearly. To receive salvation all you have to do is believe them and ask in faith to be saved (Romans 10:13 ). If you do that you’ll inherit eternal life. And that’s not all. God will also send His Holy Spirit to you guarantee this and to help you clear up all the confusion so you can understand His book (John 16:13, 1 Cor. 2:14 ). That’s the simple Gospel. The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, but considers them foolishness and cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned (1 Cor. 2:14 ). https://gracethrufaith.com/ask-a-bible-teacher/the-simple-gospel/ |
QUESTION. I just listened to your MP3 series on Revelation chapter 7-9. In part 4 you talk about the Tribulation Martyrs serving Jesus in the temple etc, but they would not receive the reward that the Church does, which is to be co-heirs with Christ. I had never seen this before while reading Revelation until you mentioned it. Can you explain why you think this is so? So basically what your saying is that as soon as the Rapture happens anyone who believes after that point is not really part of the Church but is classified in another group. (Kind of like Israel is a separate group.) Can you go further into this? ANSWER. The earliest date for the birth of the Church is on Pentecost, 50 days after the Resurrection, and it will disappear in the rapture. Therefore, just as Old Testament believers aren’t part of the Church, neither are Tribulation believers. And a careful reading of Rev. 7:9-17 shows that the destiny of these believers is much different from the Church. They’re specifically described as serving God in His Temple, and yet they are never called priests. This is a role never ascribed to the Church. In fact there is no Temple in the New Jerusalem, home of the church (Rev. 21:22 ). Also there’s no mention of the saints in Rev. 7 ever ruling and reigning with Christ as is the Church’s destiny. Ephesians 2:14-17 clearly portrays the Church as an entirely new and unique race of human, different from any other, with a future designed to show just how far God can go in lavishing His grace upon us (Ephes. 2:6-7 ). In my opinion, we don’t hear anywhere near enough on this subject from the pulpit. During the Church Age, God asks people to believe solely by faith (John 6:28-29 ), and promises blessings beyond those of any other group to those who do. But once Daniel’s 70th week begins, God’s supernatural power will once again be on display for all to see. During that time belief in Him will be as much by evidence as by faith, like it was in the Old Testament. Believing in what you see is not as commendable to God as is believing what you don’t see, hence the different destiny of Tribulation believers from that of the Church. https://gracethrufaith.com/ask-a-bible-teacher/tribulation-saints-vs-the-church/ |

Chapter 21 With those two glimpses of the end of the Millennium, let’s go back to its beginning. Before my very eyes, I saw Heaven and Earth restored to their original condition before sin entered the world and messed things up. I realized that some of the “natural disasters” that took place during the Tribulation were actually re-shaping the Earth and changing its orbit to permit this restoration. Then I saw the New Jerusalem coming down out of the sky to enter its orbit near Earth. Because of its size, which I’ll detail in a minute, and the fact that only perfected believers can live there, there’s no way this city could ever be a part of Earth, but it has to be near to permit travel back and forth. The city was absolutely huge, over 1400 miles square and 1400 miles high. Some speculate that there’s enough room there for each and every believer to have his own 10,000 square foot mansion. The city had 12 gates, one each for the 12 tribes of Israel and each made of a single pearl. (That’s a hoot! Oysters aren’t even kosher.) It also had 12 foundations covered with precious gems, named for the 12 apostles. There wasn’t any temple in the city, nor did it need the light from the sun or moon because the Father and the Son both dwell there. Their Presence provides all the light that’s necessary. Leaders of all the nations of Earth come and pay tribute bringing all their honor and glory, but no one impure can ever enter, only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Chapter 22 On Earth a Great Temple, built in Israel to glorify God, gushed forth a giant spring of fresh pure water. It became a river that flowed west to the Mediterranean and east to the Dead Sea. Its waters freshened the Dead Sea and permitted fish to flourish there (Note: see Ezekiel 47). All along the river’s banks fruit trees grew, each bearing a new crop every month of the year. Their leaves had healing power, and the fruit was delicious to eat. Near the Temple the Father and Son had their Throne, and from there they would rule the world for ever and ever. I was so overcome with joy at seeing all the splendor that God has in store for those who love Him that I fell at the feet of the angel who was showing it to me, and he scolded me. “Worship God alone,” he said. Good advice. Then my Lord said, “Behold I am coming soon! My reward is with Me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done.” I could see that He meant that God in His infinite wisdom has given all of us all the right to choose our own destiny. By what He showed me it’s obvious that everyone ever born lives forever. The only question is where we’ll spend eternity. Choose Him and receive eternal life in the City of God. Reject Him and it’s eternal punishment with Satan and his followers in his place of torment. The choice has never been so clear. He then told me to warn all of the millions who would read this letter down through the centuries. Take this message seriously! Grave consequences would await the one who either adds to or tries to dilute its purpose and content. But as He told me at the beginning, great blessings would come to the ones who read, hear and take to heart what I’ve written To this I say, Amen: Come, Lord Jesus. The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people. Amen. |

2 Corinthians 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. Some Christians believe that they have to work at becoming more righteous. And they kick themselves when they do wrong. They don’t realize that by doing these things, they are not seeking God’s righteousness, but are trying to establish their own righteousness by their law-keeping and right conduct. Righteousness is not about right conduct. It is a gift from God to us through Jesus. And since it is a gift, we cannot earn it by our law-keeping and right conduct. We can only receive it! How do we receive this gift? We receive it through the cross. God made Jesus “who knew no sin to be sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God in Him”. So today, we are the righteousness of God in Christ. We are as righteous as Jesus is! But some of us think that in the body of Christ, there are different classes of righteousness, like the seating classes in an airplane. They think that some of us have economy-class righteousness, others have business-class righteousness and a select few have first-class righteousness. That is nonsense! When God gave us Jesus, He became our righteousness. So we have His righteousness. This means that we are 100 per cent righteous in God’s eyes! We cannot but have first-class righteousness! You might say, “Pastor Prince, I don’t understand. How can I be righteous when I have done wrong?” Think about this: Jesus, who knew no sin, became sin for us. Jesus knew no sin, did no sin and in Him was no sin. But at the cross, He received our sin and became sin for us. Likewise, we, who were sinners, knew no righteousness, did no righteousness and in us was no righteousness. But at the cross, we received His righteousness and became the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. At the cross, the divine exchange took place. Jesus took our place so that we might take His place. He did not deserve to be made sin, but He was made sin in our place. We did not deserve to be made righteous, but we were made righteous because we received His righteousness. What good news! What amazing grace! Thought For The Day We have first-class righteousness which we received as a gift through Jesus. www.josephprince.org/daily-grace/grace-inspirations/single/you-have-first-class-righteousness/ |
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.Ephesians 2:8 No ‘Buts’ In The Good News Imagine having a rich uncle who comes up to you one day and says, “I have really good news for you. I know you need a family car badly, so I bought you a really nice one!” Your jaw drops at the good news. But before you can thank him, he says, “It’s all yours...BUT you have to pay me monthly installments of $1,000 for it.” Suddenly, what started out as “good news” doesn’t turn out to be good news after all. Why? Because it contains a big “BUT!” The “gift” isn’t genuine because it has a condition attached to it. Sadly, this is how some people understand the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ. They’ve been told, “Yes, you are saved by God’s grace, BUT from now on, you have to make sure that you come to church, read your Bible, pray, serve, dress holy...to keep your salvation.” Like the car, salvation is not really a free gift—you have to merit it with “installments” of good works. Beloved, good works are important, but they can’t save you. The only thing that can save you is the blood of Jesus. And when you put your faith in Jesus and His finished work, you were saved for all eternity, with no strings attached because grace is not grace if your works have any part to play in it (Romans 11:6)! That’s why the gospel of God’s grace is truly GOOD NEWS! And it is knowing and believing this that produces godly fruits of faith and righteousness in your life! |

Nawa oo... some people get bad mind oo... this is wicked nah..... Good morning Stella, I'm a serious bv even tho I hardly comment, good job! I'm writing this with my heart full with sadness. I'm in my 20s, please remember to hide my id. Last night my bf and I decided to be fun and go clubbing, we usually don't do that. So we called up his cousin who knows every club in Festac because he stays around there. Na so we go meet the cousin for Festac, we lodged and then went clubbing with the cousin, he has a car and le'boo doesn't. At the club the cousin was complaining about not having a girl, I even tried to get him a girl and he wasn't satisfied with the ones I introduced him to there. When we were done clubbing one thing led to another and my bf got to the hotel before me. After enough drinking and dancing, I found out I was alone in the cousin's car. bf was with my phone and wallet, in the hope that he was going to the hotel where me and bf lodged I relaxed only for the bastard to stop at one place and demanded for sex,i refused of course. He begged and begged and started threatening, that's when I became scared, he said he was gonna leave me on the road alone and the area boys would get to me . Stella I begged and I cried but the demon boy wouldn't have it,note that I was in my period . After a while he started driving and drove to a remote place, I didn't know my way and I was cashless and without phone, when he stopped he raped me inside the car, it wasn't long but I was screaming and begging him to stop. when he stopped he drove me to the hotel where we lodged and bf was outside shouting at him and telling him "Shey I texted you say she dey her period" I was weak. I didn't have to say anything and bf understood what happened I started crying, I cried my eyes out Stella. Bf was just begging,i cried myself to sleep. This morning I woke up to bf crying,he was crying that he is not a man for his cousin to rape me and we can't do anything, no evidence of rape, just nothing. We are on our way home now and I'm writing this, I don't usually tell my story to people but this is heart breaking and I can't even tell my people at home this kind of story. Do you think this is the end for bf and I?? I don't even know what to do now . www.stelladimokokorkus.com/2016/02/chronicle-of-blog-visitor-narrative_21.html?m=1 |
