You don't have any business confessing to any believer, confess to CHRIST Jesus only, the author and finisher of your FAITH. If you still feel guilty after confessing to God, just pray dat God should give you his PEACE so dat you can rest. Mind you, its your conscience dat is condemning you not God, after you have confessed your sin. Conscience came about after Adam tasted the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil.

Confess your sins only to God, he's faithful and just to forgive you. Don't confess to any human being, they will use it against you tomorrow. A Believer is still human, we are not perfect until we have our incorruptible body at the Rapture.

1 Thessalonians 4:16
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of
God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.

All over the world, Jews celebrate Rosh Hashanah, the
Jewish New Year. Occurring usually in the month of
September, this feast is celebrated with the blowing of
trumpets—the shofar or ram’s horn. That is why it is also
called the Feast of Trumpets.

The Jews observe seven feasts: The Passover, Unleavened
Bread, Firstfruits, Pentecost, Trumpets, Atonement and
Tabernacles. The first four have been fulfilled literally by
Jesus. He was the Passover Lamb (1 Corinthians 5:7), the
bread of life (John 6:35) and the firstfruits of those who
have fallen asleep. (1 Corinthians 15:20) And when
Pentecost had fully come after His ascension, He sent us
the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:1–4)

So the next feast that we are waiting for Jesus to fulfill
literally is the Feast of Trumpets. Why is this feast
significant to us? Because when Jesus fulfills it, it means
that we are going up to meet Him in the clouds!

I am talking about the rapture of the church. When the
trumpet sounds, “in the twinkling of an eye”, we who are
alive will be changed. We will put on new bodies that will be
like Jesus’! Those who are dead in Christ will rise and also
receive new bodies. They will go up first followed by us who
are alive, and we will all meet the Lord in the air. (1
Corinthians 15:51–55)

This means that there is a possibility that you might not see
death! The Bible says, “Then we who are alive and remain
shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet
the Lord in the air.” (1 Thessalonians 4:17) It is one thing to
happen to be alive, but quite another to remain alive.

I believe that there is a generation of Christians who know
the resurrection power of the Lord. They know how to walk
in their inheritance and put off sickness and death until the
coming of the Lord. My friend, may you be counted as one
of them as you take the Lord Jesus and His finished work
as your victory over sickness and death!

From what i am seeing on Nairaland, Nigerian Christians are still laboring under the Law. I don't blame them cos they have been brainwashed by their Pastors who keep on exploiting them for their own selfish gains.... Accept the Real GOSPEL ( Grace GOSPEL ) and be liberated!!!!

Dis is the same GOSPEL Apostle Paul was preaching during his days and the Religious Fanatics wanted to stone him.... So many Christians are under bondage and they dont know who they are in CHRIST.... Thank God for showing me the way...

For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him

God wants us to seek His righteousness and not our own righteousness. When we seek our own righteousness, we will always end up feeling miserable because we can never be righteous by our works, no matter how hard we try. That is why our loving Father wants us to remember that righteousness is not right behavior but a person—Jesus (1 Corinthians 1:30), and that we have “become the righteousness of God in Him”.

I know of a lady who, before coming to our church, attempted to establish her own righteousness by confessing all her sins to “clean” herself up. But she found that the more she confessed her sins, the more sins she discovered in herself. She became guilt-ridden and miserable. Feeling stressed out and weary of confessing her sins all the time, she eventually left the church she was attending. In fact, she never stepped into another church again for the next 10 years.

One day, someone gave her my message tape entitled You Will Never Lose God’s Everlasting Righteousness Given To You and she started listening to it. Once she learnt that Jesus was the measure of her righteousness and acceptance before God, she began to seek God’s righteousness by seeing Christ as her righteousness. Before long, peace and joy came flooding back into her life.Today, she worships in our church. She testified of how God has supernaturally healed her of a long-term medical condition she had. Even her husband, once balding, found hair sprouting supernaturally! God was adding all these things to her according to His promise—“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you”. (Matthew 6:33)

Beloved, seeking God’s righteousness means that you see Jesus as someone who knew no sin but became sin for you, so that He could give you His righteousness and make you the righteousness of God in Him! As you proclaim daily the truth that you are the righteousness of God in Christ, you will see “all these things” (Matthew 6:33) added to you without even asking for them!

You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.

What is the grace of God? Simply put, the grace of God is God blessing, healing and delivering you because of Jesus. The grace of God is His unearned, unmerited and undeserved favor toward you simply because of Jesus’ finished work at the cross.

Because God’s grace is based on Jesus’ work and not yours, the only way you fall from this grace is by believing that you can earn, merit and deserve it through your obedience and good works. For example, you fall from grace when you say, “God has to answer my prayer because I have prayed long enough.” You also fall from grace when you think that because you are serving in church or you have kicked a bad habit, God is pleased with you and He has to bless you.When you think that it is by your efforts and obedience that you receive God’s blessings, you become like the Pharisees. They believed that their law-keeping justified them and ensured that God would bless them. But the truth is that when you believe like them, “you have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace”. This means that you are cut off from Christ, who is your salvation, Redeemer, healer and provider. Christ has become of no effect to you!

My friend, surely you would want Christ to be of effect to you. People to whom Christ is of effect receive from Him the miracle they need. When He is of effect to them, He is their healer and they get healed. He is their wisdom and they are wise before man. He is their good success and they experience good success in all that they do.

Beloved, for Christ to always be of effect to you and to never nullify the grace of God operating in your life, just remember and believe that it is because of Christ and His finished work—His blood, His stripes, His death, His obedience—that you are justified, healed and blessed!

So many are laboring under Law thinking they are doing God a favour.... #smh CHRIST have done everything on the Cross.... Many Christians are still suffering today cos they have been deceived that its only by good works & self righteousness they will make Heaven... grin

what a life!!!! Thats why many of them are wallowing in Guilt and Self Condemnation.... You can never fulfill the Law as a man, it is impossible!!! Datz why God gave it to the Jews so dat they will realize they need a Saviour.

Every believer who accepted the message in the Bible was baptised the same day...including Apostle Paul (He was baptised by Ananias the same day and he received the Holy ghost). Without Baptism, the blood of Jesus Christ cannot recognise you brother. Better go and be baptised in the name of Jesus Christ ASAP and stop deceiving yourself and other viewers!

If your Pastor is not baptising new converts then the error is from him. And by "new converts" I mean every person that hasn't been baptised ever since he/she receives Jesus, including those born in Christianity because they'll also have to confess Jesus with their mouths before they regarded as converts; the decision of the parents for their kids is irrelevant here.....that's why infant baptism is wrong! And baptism is by immersion and not sprinkling of water. Baptism signifies burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ!

But it only works when you are under the blood...The blood of Jesus speaks only for those who repent and are baptised. Baptism is the ritual that will put a sinner under the blood of Jesus Christ for the remission of his/her sins; I wonder why some Churches make it compulsory for their members to attend baptismal classes before baptizing them when the teaching is actually supposed to be after baptism!

Baptism is essential in Christianity but its not a requirement for Salvation. Salvation is free, it is left for the person to believe only....

Yes, we Believers are righteous but our righteousness is not our own self righteousness or good works but our righteousness is the righteousness of God in CHRIST ( only in CHRIST oo!!! )

Self righteousness and Good works are not God's standard for righteousness. you must differentiate between the two. Self righteousness and Good works might give u credit with people, in your relationship with them but it doesn't count before God cos it is like filthy rag. But embracing God's Righteousness in CHRIST is everything!!!!! And you can only achieve it by total faith and trust in CHRIST.
