HenryDion:You welcome bro. Click on my profile and read some of the articles there, it will lift your Spirit the more. Have a great day. |
My brother don't be let down please. Hold fast to your faith and believe in Christ Jesus, that is all that matters..... You see, i keep saying it that the righteousness Believers should claim is the righteousness of Christ and His finished work on the Cross. Most Christians think that righteousness is good works or strict living but they get it wrong. The righteousness God was talking of in the Bible is the righteousness of Faith in Christ. When you give your life to Christ and accept Him as your Lord and Personal Saviour, you receive His righteousness by FAITH. And from then, you are a new Creation, old things have passed away and all things have become new. You might not feel it immediately cos the transformation happened in your Spirit man. Man is made up of the SPIRIT ( which is the real you ) , the SOUL ( your mind and emotion ) and then the BODY. It is when your Spirit man is transformed by your Salvation, then the Holy Spirit will now dwell inside you to help you renew your soul & body. It doesn't happen immediately, its gradually. But that doesn't mean you will be perfect oo, you wont cos you are still in your fallen body and you still sin every now and then but the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses you from all unrighteousness. It is only your SPIRIT that is pure and blameless before God and when that person dies, he will go to Heaven. Thats why i keep telling people not to immortalise their Pastors or top people in the Church, they are not perfect cos they are humans. They still have secret sins they are battling with. The only person you should trust is Christ Jesus, the author and the finisher of your FAITH. Please don't be downcast, keep to your Faith in Christ. You have a bright future. |

In my previous article, i wrote about how Tiwa Savage helped and killed Mocheddah's music career and ascended the THRONE as the Queen of Naija Pop Music. I also wrote another article, how Yemi Alade was planning a Coup D'etat to dethrone Tiwa Savage and she has finally achieved her aim.... Presently, Yemi Alade is the BIGGEST & MOST POPULAR Nigerian Female Singer across Africa!!!! Omo, this babe is huge across AFRICA!!! She has virtually toured the whole African countries, from her sold-out Stadium Concerts in Tanzania, Togo, Namibia etc... To her awards when she clinched the BEST FEMALE in Africa at the last MTV MAMA Award. A music promoter in Namibia was telling me sometime ago that Yemi Alade is the number one Nigerian Female artiste in Namibia and that her songs are on heavy rotation. She's also very BIG in East Africa and also West African countries. Congrats Yemi, its not easy. I watched your career grow from 2009 during Peak Talent Show where u emerged the winner. Hard Work pays. Meanwhile, Seyi Shay is rising very fast in the industry too, Yemi you might want to watch your back oo. Cos i think Seyi is planning another Coup D'etat on you as you did Tiwa I wish Tiwa all the best as she comes back from Omugwo....... Nigerian artistes are the best.... They are talented except the ones dat sing Kpangolo music. ![]()

Dis is an inspiring article by Pastor JOSEPH PRINCE.... Christians celebrate Christmas to commemorate the birth of our Lord Jesus, knowing that He came to give us eternal life. But how many realize that Jesus also came to give us the gift of no condemnation? Once we receive this gift and see that God no longer condemns us, then we can truly have peace with Him while still on earth! John 3:16—“ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. ”—is probably the most well-known verse in the Bible. If there is a memory verse competition in the church, and someone stands up and quotes John 3:16, I think half the congregation will say, “There goes my memory verse!” The Reason For Christmas However, not many people know the verse that comes after that. And it is this verse that gives us the reason for Christmas: John 3:17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. Unfortunately, Christianity has been misrepresented and used in many circles—be it by Hollywood or in churches—to condemn people. Yet, the truth is that God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save it. That is why the angel Gabriel said to Mary, “ …you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus . ” (Luke 1:31) Do you know that His name means “Savior” in Hebrew? His name could have been “Judge” or “Lawgiver”. But of all the names He could have used, He chose the name “Savior” because the purpose for His coming was to save us and not to condemn us. The Gift Of No Condemnation Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. Today, God wants you to receive the gift of no condemnation. This gift will cause you to walk tall and be a true success. This gift will also save you from a life of stress, fear, restlessness, and even sickness and disease. That is because everything that happens in your soul—the emotional and mental realms—will affect your physical body if it is not properly dealt with. Doctors are beginning to realize that more people are suffering from psychosomatic illnesses nowadays. They are realizing that the majority of patients would not be suffering from their physical conditions if they had known how to handle their emotional afflictions such as fear, stress and worry. It is interesting to know that the word “condemnation” in the original Greek means “condemning sentence”. Stress is a condemning sentence. Sickness and disease is a condemning sentence. But there is therefore now no condemning sentence for those who are in Christ Jesus! What It Means To Be In Christ Jesus Now, according to Romans 8:1, who are those who qualify for this gift of no condemnation? They are the ones who are in Christ Jesus. And today, you are in Christ Jesus, not Jesus Christ. You might ask, “Pastor Prince, is there a difference between being in Christ Jesus and being in Jesus Christ?” Yes, there is! “Jesus” is His human name, but “Christ” is His official title. Before He died and rose again, He was Jesus Christ. But after His resurrection, He became Christ Jesus. “Christ” is now placed in front of “Jesus” because it reflects His resurrected nature. And God wants us to know that we are now alive in the risen Christ, the all-glorified One who said, “ All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth, ” (Matthew 28:18) after He rose from the dead! When you believe in Christ and put your faith in Him, God the Father sees you in Christ Jesus. He sees you in the risen Christ who is seated at His right hand. All that Jesus is, you are. And all that He has, you have. The Bible tells us that “ as He is, so are we in this world ”. (1 John 4:17) Can Christ who is seated at the Father’s right hand ever be condemned? No. Well, neither can you, because you are in Him. Not Right Doing But Right Being However, Romans 8:1 has been so misunderstood by many Christians. There are believers who think that there is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ…as long as they do what is right. Now, I am for what is right. I am not for what is wrong. But that is not the criterion by which we are justified. We are justified by the obedience of Christ. I know that some people will say, “But Pastor Prince, the rest of Romans 8:1 goes on to say that the gift of no condemnation is only for those who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. That is the criterion to qualify for the gift of no condemnation!” “ …who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit ” is not there in the original manuscript. It was added by Bible interpreters. And you can verify this truth in any good Bible commentary. In fact, the New American Standard Bible is one version of the Bible that leaves this verse in its original form. Therefore, the only reason that you are not condemned is that you are in Christ Jesus. That is the only requirement. So what does it mean: “ There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus ”? The answer is found in the word “ therefore”. Wherever you find the word “ therefore”, find out what it is there for. It is there because of what the apostle Paul wrote in the previous chapter. In Romans 7, Paul wrote about his own struggles and how he was condemned by the law that he knew so well as a Pharisee. He said, “ For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice. ” (Romans 7:19) So Romans 8:1 only means something when you have done wrong, because that is when the gift of no condemnation matters to you. All of us qualify for this gift because we have failed to keep all the Ten Commandments perfectly. And God says, “In Christ, I don’t condemn you. Now, don’t condemn yourself. Go and sin no more.” God is for you not living a lifestyle of sin. But the power to do this comes when you receive the gift of no condemnation. Some people may say, “Pastor Prince, some people might take this gift and start using it to live a licentious lifestyle!” My friend, people who live a licentious lifestyle do not believe this truth. They have not truly received this gift. Many of them are already self-condemned and are doomed to repeat their sin. Do you know that God does not say that there is no condemnation based on His whim and fancy? He does not say, “Never mind, boys will be boys,” and then sweeps everything under the carpet. If He did that, He would be unrighteous. No, He has to condemn our sins. That is why He sent Jesus to suffer the condemnation for us. Today, you are not condemned because all the sins of your entire life have already been condemned in the body of another at the cross on Calvary. Jesus bore it all! And all lawyers know the law of double jeopardy: The same crime cannot be punished twice. Your sins cannot be condemned in the body of your substitute, and then in your own life! He Has Released You From The Law Of Sin And Death Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. Everything and everyone on earth is subject to the law of gravity. However, this law is broken every day at airports all over the world because there is a law that is higher than the law of gravity. Whenever an aeroplane takes off, the law of thrust and lift overcomes the law of gravity. Likewise, there is only one law that is higher than the law of sin and death. There is only one law that overcomes the law of sin and death that brings sickness and disease into your life. The only way to be set free from the law of sin and death is when the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus is released into your life. So how is this law released? Notice that Romans 8:2 starts with the word “ for ”. This means that it is connected with the previous verse, Romans 8:1. So the law of the Spirit of life is released when you receive the gift of no condemnation into your life! Do you know that people who call themselves “freethinkers” are not free at all? They are bound by thoughts of fear, inferiority, lust and pride. They are bound by thoughts of sin and cannot stop thinking such thoughts. They also grow old very fast, and have sicknesses and diseases. They are under the law of sin and death because they are without Christ. They are not in Christ. It is only when you are in Christ that you are free to think, because Christ came to set you free. And if the Son sets you free, you shall be free indeed! (John 8:36) There is a freedom that comes when you know that you are not condemned because you are in Christ. And when you receive the gift of no condemnation, you release the power to overcome the law of sin and death in your life! The Power To Go And Sin No More In John 8:1–6, Jesus was at the temple when the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman who had been caught in the very act of adultery. They tried to test Jesus by asking Him whether she should be stoned according to the law of Moses. Now, they were trying to trap Jesus because if Jesus said, “ Stone her,” they would say to the people, “So much for His teachings about God’s love and being sent to the world not to condemn, but to save.” But if He said, “Don’t stone her,” then they would accuse Him of breaking the law. So what did Jesus do? He wrote on the ground with His finger. He did so not because He could not answer. He did this to demonstrate that He was the one who wrote the Ten Commandments on two tablets of stone with His finger during Moses’ time. (Exodus 31:18) Then, Jesus said, “ He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first. ” (John 8:7) And one by one, those who heard this walked away, being convicted by their conscience. Now, let’s look at what Jesus did next: John 8:10–11 When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?” She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.” Many people like to quote the last phrase, “ go and sin no more. ” But it does not release the power to go and sin no more. That is because the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus is only released to set you free from the law of sin and death when you first receive the gift of no condemnation. That is why Jesus gave the woman the gift of no condemnation before He told her to “ go and sin no more ”! I love to say it like this: The Pharisees would condemn her, but they could not. Jesus could condemn her, but He would not. Hallelujah! So those people who think that the preaching of no condemnation will cause people to sin more don’t fully understand what Jesus said in John 8:11. The only way for people to go and sin no more—the only way for people to be empowered in their life, to walk in peace, joy and faith, and to live the abundant life that Jesus came to give us—is to understand that there is now no condemnation in Christ. Two Things Will Happen To You When you realize and understand that there is therefore now no condemnation in Christ, two things will happen to you. The first thing that will happen when you understand that God does not condemn you in Christ is that you will stop condemning yourself. Do you know that many people who are always angry are like that because of guilt? For example, when a man feels guilty for not being able to provide for his family, he gets angry and takes it out on his wife. It is like having a small pebble in your shoe. You cannot walk properly because it is bothering you. So it is with guilt. And you must resolve it by going to God and thanking Him that there is therefore now no condemnation because your sins have already been punished in the body of His Son. As long as you think that God condemns you, you will condemn yourself. And your body and mind are so intelligent that, unconsciously, they believe that you want to punish yourself. So they will say, “Okay, it’s time to pass a condemning sentence on this body!” And sickness is produced. Disease is produced. But long before symptoms manifest in your body, you were already a walking civil war. The second thing that will happen when you understand that God does not condemn you in Christ is that you will stop condemning others. You will not condemn those who are also in Christ for their failures. You will even look at the world with eyes of no condemnation because you will see them the way Jesus sees them—as lost sheep who are without a shepherd. And He said, “ I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. ” (John 10:11) Praise the Lord! Walk In Peace And Be Healthy Today, the only place that is totally safe and secure is in Christ. Once you receive the gift of no condemnation into your heart, meditate on it and have a no-condemnation mentality. And you will begin to walk in peace—the same peace that Jesus always walked in. Jesus was always cool. He was never in a hurry. He could even sleep in a boat that was in the midst of a storm. In the incident in Mark 4:35–39, it was not the storm that woke Him up, but the cry of His disciples. And when He awoke, He said to the wind and sea, “ Peace, be still! ” It takes someone who is inwardly at peace to change a hostile environment into a peaceful one. He also calmed the storm in the hearts of His disciples, which is where it all began. You can have that same peace because you are in Christ! As you walk in that peace, you will soon discover that you are getting healthier, and that some of the chronic problems you used to experience in your body are gone. You will wake up one day and realize that the pain is gone. Why? Because when you are at peace with God and with yourself, your body will be at peace with you! http://www.josephprince.org/daily-grace/articles/single/receive-the-gift-no-condemnation-and-walk-in-peace/ |
chigo93:Yes it is!!! |
This message is a reminder to all of us who have been listening to the gospel of grace for some time now. The Lord is revealing to us the secret to living a transformed life. It’s time for us to remove all the buttons in our lives that the devil constantly presses. Let’s get to the deepest root that causes all our problems. Recently, the Lord told me, “Son, what I showed you some time ago—that condemnation kills—it’s time to take it seriously. You’ve been preaching to the church about the dangers of stress, but there’s a deeper root than stress.” Your Problems Are Not The Root My friend, when you go through an evil day, you are like a sickly plant with sick leaves. You may have leaves of sickness, poverty, a broken marriage or depression in your life. But these are just the leaves. These are just the manifestations of the root. It would be foolish to attack the leaves because they are not the cause of your problems. We all know that there’ll be no leaf if there is no root. Even the world knows that and many people in medical science are beginning to realize that there is a root to sickness. In fact, a study by a well-known medical facility showed that about 70 per cent of all sicknesses are due to stress. Condemnation—The Deepest Root Of All Now, the deeper root of stress is fear. All stress is caused by fear—fear of failing, fear of not having enough, fear of death and so on. But that’s as far as medical science can go. They cannot touch the deepest root because it is spiritual. And the deepest root of all is condemnation. When there’s condemnation, there’ll be fear. When there’s fear, there’s going to be stress. And when there’s stress, there’ll be manifestations of the curse. Now, if you disagree with me that the root cause is condemnation, let me refer you to Genesis, the book of beginnings. Do you know that Adam was planted in the midst of a finished work? Everything was prepared for him. But the devil told him that he needed to do something to qualify for all the things he had already qualified for. The devil gave him a mistaken identity. He said, “You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” (Genesis 3:4–5) The truth is that Adam was already like God! But Adam believed the devil, ate the fruit and fell. And the curse came. Before there was poverty, sickness and death in Adam’s life, there was stress. How do we know that? Well, God said, “In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread…” (Genesis 3:19) And sweat speaks of stress and self-effort. But if you go deeper, you will find that there was fear. Do you know what Adam said to God when God asked him where he was? He said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.” (Genesis 3:10) Adam was afraid. He was fearful. So the deeper root of stress is fear. But before he was fearful, he felt condemned. The Law Condemns Why did Adam feel condemned? It was because he partook of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. It was not even the tree of evil or the tree of sin. So what does the tree of the knowledge of good and evil speak of? How did it cause Adam to sin? My friend, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil is a picture of the law because the law gives us the knowledge of good and evil. The Bible says, “…by the law is the knowledge of sin.” (Romans 3:20) Contrary to popular opinion, God did not give the law for man to live by or to make man holy. God gave the law so that we know we’re sinners and we see our need for a Savior. Now, we know that the law brings about the knowledge of sin. But what happens when you have the knowledge of sin? You will feel condemned. So from now on, when you think of the law, think of condemnation. Don’t think of the law as doing right or not doing wrong because God did not give us the law for that purpose. The law condemns. (2 Corinthians 3:7–9) The Devil’s Tactics And Weaponry You might ask, “Pastor Prince, what has the law got to do with my problems?” My friend, our enemy the devil is smarter than many psychiatrists, psychologists and even many believers. He does not deal with the peripherals and the superficial. Do you know what his first name is? It is not “thief” or “murderer”, even though he steals and murders. His first name is Satan, which is Hebrew for “prosecutor at law” or “accuser”. Do you know what the role of a prosecutor is in the court of law? He is there to prosecute you and condemn you. He never talks about your good points. He will bring up all the dirty laundry and relentlessly accuse you till you feel condemned. So the devil’s name tells us that he goes straight to the root of your problems. He doesn’t come to you and say, “Let your business slide” or “Neglect your children”. On the contrary, he comes to say things like, “How can you let the business slide?” or “Call yourself a Christian! Call yourself a good father. You’re a lousy father!” He accuses you till you feel condemned. And he uses the law, which is holy, good and just, to condemn you. That is why condemnation—the root cause of all your problems—is so subtle. That is why condemnation usually goes undetected. I have realized that the devil hasn’t changed his tactics even with a church like ours where I preach so strongly against condemnation. Do you know why? Because he has no other tactic! He has no other weapon! The devil cannot enforce the curse in your life apart from condemnation. The devil cannot make you sick apart from condemnation. You have to cooperate with him and receive the condemnation first. God Disarmed The Devil At The Cross Colossians 2:14–15 having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. The good news is that God disarmed the devil at the cross. God took his only weapon—the law—and He nailed it to the cross! Yes, God has triumphed over the devil and all his demonic principalities and powers! That’s why I often tell the church that we are not fighting for victory. We are fighting from victory. The victory is already ours through the finished work of Christ at the cross. The Key To No Condemnation The fact that you can feel condemned is proof that you have a heart of flesh, not a heart of stone. (Ezekiel 11:19, 36:26) It is proof that you are truly born again. What, then, is the key to getting out of your evil day? What is the key to no condemnation in your life? Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. The only place where you find no condemnation is in Christ Jesus. The word “therefore” connects Romans 8:1 to the previous verses in Romans 7, where Paul talked about how he was condemned by the law that he knew so well. The reason there is therefore now no condemnation, is that God loved us so much that He gave us His Son Jesus Christ to die for our sins. Jesus came and He was condemned for our sins at the cross. When He hung on the cross, God took all our sins of our entire lives, and He heaped them on Jesus. Then He unleashed the vengeance of His fury against lawlessness and sin on the body of Jesus Christ until Jesus cried, “It is finished!” The reason that you and I experience no condemnation today is that all our sins have been punished and condemned, but in the body of another—in the body of Jesus Christ! What It Means To Overcome The Devil By The Blood Of The Lamb Revelation 12:10–11 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. Many Christians know that we overcome the devil by the blood of the Lamb. We know that there is power in the blood of Christ. But what is it about Jesus’ blood that makes it so powerful? Now, what did Jesus say of the blood when He instituted the Lord’s Supper? He said, “For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.” (Matthew 26:28) The blood is for the forgiveness of sins! The blood is there to ensure that you live in no condemnation! That is what makes it so powerful! Notice also what is said in verse 10, “…for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.” The devil is called the accuser of the brethren. And he relentlessly accuses God’s people day and night. But the good news is that he has been cast down! He has been defeated! The moment he has no power to accuse, salvation, strength, the kingdom of God and the power of Christ will manifest in your life! Do Not Respond To The Accuser Some of you might say, “Pastor Prince, I have no problem with this root. I don’t feel condemned.” My friend, you will be surprised. Condemnation is very subtle, especially if you are a person who believes in doing what’s right. Continue to do what’s right, but do not respond to the accuser. When you choose not to respond to him, he cannot condemn you. The root cause of all your problems is destroyed, and you will come to the place of no condemnation in your life. http://www.josephprince.org/daily-grace/articles/single/the-root-cause-of-your-problem-is-condemnation/ |

ABDULADINO:Alright |
vooks:It is you that Jesus will spit out of his mouth!!!! You this deluded self righteous Pharisee!!!! What gives u the right to know who will make Heaven or not?? Look lemme tell you, if not for the GRACE of God, this your self righteousness ( which is a filthy rag before God ) will not take you anywhere. It is written in the Bible that Salvation is by Grace through faith, and it is the work of God lest any man should boast. I pity you, so you think that The death of CHRIST on the Cross is not enough so you can add your filthy Self Righteousness to make up for your Salvation? God calls it PRIDE!!!! Abraham was counted as a man of righteousness because of his FAITH in God alone, not by his WORKS. If you are not comforted by Eternal Security, plz go ahead with your WORKS but don't try to deceive other people into it. That's why your kind live depressed lives full of condemnation and guilt , that is your own wahala. I have comfort that my righteousness is the righteousness of CHRIST by FAITH. Nobody can snatch me out of the hand of the father & son, not you or your Religious / Judaism doctrine...... You can argue with the Birds, i am through with you. And please don't quote me AGAIN!!!!! |
@ABDULADINO, my brother u get time to still dey argue with these people ? They will never agree with you, so don't bother. Since you have known the Truth, don't bother yourself with dem. My happiness is that they are Believers, so they will make Heaven on the last day. But since they believe its their WORKS dat saves them until Rapture, so be it Don't stress yourself. They will understand later. If its by WORKS that we are SAVED or that we can lose our Salvation after being SAVED, then mankind will be doomed cos nobody will make it. It is by the GRACE of God through faith. God chose us the elect from Eternity past and it is Him dat preserves us till the end. It will be hard for Human Comprehension but everything will be clear when we cross over to Eternity. God promised us Eternal life through salvation and for that Eternal life to be lost will make God a liar, which is not possible. So a Believer can never lose His Salvation. I now declare this thread closed..... |
Question: "Do Christians have to keep asking for forgiveness for their sins?" Answer: A frequent question is “what happens if I sin, and then I die before I have an opportunity to confess that sin to God?” Another common question is “what happens if I commit a sin, but then forget about it and never remember to confess it to God?” Both of these questions rest on a faulty assumption. Salvation is not a matter of believers trying to confess and repent from every sin they commit before they die. Salvation is not based on whether a Christian has confessed and repented of every sin. Yes, we should confess our sins to God as soon as we are aware that we have sinned. However, we do not always need to be asking God for forgiveness. When we place our faith in Jesus Christ for salvation, all of our sins are forgiven. That includes past, present, and future, big or small. Believers do not have to keep asking for forgiveness or repenting in order to have their sins forgiven. Jesus died to pay the penalty for all of our sins, and when they are forgiven, they are all forgiven ( Colossians 1:14 ; Acts 10:43 ). What we are to do is confess our sins: “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness” ( 1 John 1:9 ). What this verse tells us to do is “confess” our sins to God. The word “confess” means “to agree with.” When we confess our sins to God, we are agreeing with God that we were wrong, that we have sinned. God forgives us, through confession, on an ongoing basis because of the fact that He is “faithful and just.” How is God “faithful and just”? He is faithful by forgiving sins, which He has promised to do for all those who receive Christ as Savior. He is just by applying Christ’s payment for our sins, recognizing that the sins have indeed been atoned for. At the same time, 1 John 1:9 does indicate that somehow forgiveness is dependent on our confessing our sins to God. How does this work if all of our sins are forgiven the moment we receive Christ as Savior? It seems that what the apostle John is describing here is “relational” forgiveness. All of our sins are forgiven “positionally” the moment we receive Christ as Savior. This positional forgiveness guarantees our salvation and promise of an eternal home in heaven. When we stand before God after death, God will not deny us entrance into heaven because of our sins. That is positional forgiveness. The concept of relational forgiveness is based on the fact that when we sin, we offend God and grieve His Spirit (Ephesians 4:30 ). While God has ultimately forgiven us of the sins we commit, they still result in a blocking or hindrance in our relationship with God. A young boy who sins against his father is not cast out of the family. A godly father will forgive his children unconditionally. At the same time, a good relationship between father and son cannot be achieved until the relationship is restored. This can only occur when a child confesses his mistakes to his father and apologizes. That is why we confess our sins to God—not to maintain our salvation, but to bring ourselves back into close fellowship with the God who loves us and has already forgiven us. http://www.gotquestions.org/Christian-sin.html |
Question = "How can I be ready to be caught up in the Rapture?" Answer = It is much simpler than you may think. The short answer is that you must receive Jesus Christ as your Savior. Now for the long answer. When you ask this question, we assume that you have heard that not all Christians will be taken when the Rapture occurs. You probably have been told that only "super Christians" who are living a holy life will be raptured, and all the other Christians will have to suffer through the Tribulation. This is not true, and we will show you why this is not true from Scripture. The first thing that you must understand is the purpose for the Tribulation. The Tribulation is a time of judgment on the earth and punishment for Israel. Please note that Israel and the Church are not the same group of people. The Church is a spiritual organism. People in the Church are related because of their spiritual birth (by being born again - John 3:3 ). The people of Israel (Jews) are related by blood. This is a race of people to whom God made special promises in the Old Testament. God declared a time of judgment upon Israel for their unfaithfulness. This time of judgment is clearly declared to be only for Israel (Daniel 9:24-27 ). Gabriel brought a message from God to Daniel (9:20-21). Daniel 9:24 says, "Seventy weeks have been decreed for your people and your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sin, to make atonement for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy place." In this message Gabriel specifies to Daniel that the time is "for your people." Daniel's people were Jews, the nation of Israel. God declared 70 weeks against the nation of Israel. This “70 weeks” is literally in the Hebrew “70 sevens.” In other words, 70 times 7 years, or 490 years. Of those years, 483 (69 times 7) of them were fulfilled from the end of Israel's captivity in Babylon to the cutting off of Messiah (the crucifixion of Christ). This leaves 7 years of judgment yet to be fulfilled. Those 7 years are the years of the Tribulation. The point is that this prophecy concerns Israel primarily, and the purpose of the judgment is "to finish the transgression, to make an end of sin, to make atonement for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy place." Now, we can also demonstrate from Scripture that Christians will not be in the Tribulation. A study of 1 Thessalonians 4:13 through 5:9 shows this. In this passage Paul writes about the Rapture and the Day of the Lord. First Thessalonians 5:9 gives Christians this promise: "God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ." Pay close attention to this verse. Paul says God has not destined us for wrath, specifically the wrath of the Day of the Lord (5:2). Further evidence that Christians will not go through the Tribulation comes from 1 Corinthians. In that letter Paul sharply rebukes the believers for being carnal Christians. But in chapter 15, Paul writes of the Rapture, and he never indicates that any of the Corinthian believers, carnal though they were, would be left behind. True believers in Jesus Christ will not have to endure the Tribulation. N.B Also Apostle Paul that wrote to the Christians in Thessalonica in 1st Thessalonians 4:13-18 by the leading of the Holy Spirit did not say any Christian will be left behind..... instead the criteria for Rapture is for the Christians dat are ALIVE AND REMAINING at the time of Rapture!! The Holy Spirit through Apostle Paul did not discriminate against any Christian during Rapture. It is for ALL BELIEVERS IN CHRIST!!!!! 1 Thessalonians 4:13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him . 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 4:18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words. The only way you will be left behind in the Rapture is if you have not received Christ as your Savior. http://www.gotquestions.org/left-behind-rapture.html |
Question: "What are the heavenly crowns that believers can receive in Heaven?" Answer: There are five heavenly crowns mentioned in the New Testament that will be awarded to believers. They are the imperishable crown, the crown of rejoicing, the crown of righteousness, the crown of glory, and the crown of life. The Greek word translated “crown” is stephanos (the source for the name Stephen the martyr) and means “a badge of royalty, a prize in the public games or a symbol of honor generally.” Used during the ancient Greek games, it referred to a wreath or garland of leaves placed on a victor’s head as a reward for winning an athletic contest. As such, this word is used figuratively in the New Testament of the rewards of heaven God promises those who are faithful. Paul’s passage in 1 Corinthians 9:24-25 best defines for us how these crowns are awarded. 1) The Imperishable Crown – (1 Corinthians 9:24-25 ) “Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate [disciplined] in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown” (NKJV). All things on this earth are subject to decay and will perish. Jesus urges us to not store our treasures on earth “where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal” ( Matthew 6:19 ). This is analogous to what Paul was saying about that wreath of leaves that was soon to turn brittle and fall apart. But not so the heavenly crown; faithful endurance wins a heavenly reward which is “an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you” (1 Peter 1:3-5 ). 2) The Crown of Rejoicing – (1 Thessalonians 2:19 ) “For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming?” The apostle Paul tells us in Philippians 4:4 to “rejoice always in the Lord” for all the bountiful blessings our gracious God has showered upon us. As Christians we have more in this life to rejoice about than anyone else. Luke tells us there is rejoicing even now in heaven (Luke 15:7 ). The crown of rejoicing will be our reward where “God will wipe away every tear . . . there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away” ( Revelation 21:4 ). 3) The Crown of Righteousness – (2 Timothy 4:8 ) “Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.” We inherit this crown through the righteousness of Christ which is what gives us a right to it, and without which it cannot be obtained. Because it is obtained and possessed in a righteous way, and not by force and deceit as earthly crowns sometimes are, it is an everlasting crown, promised to all who love the Lord and eagerly wait for His return. Through our enduring the discouragements, persecutions, sufferings, or even death, we know assuredly our reward is with Christ in eternity (Philippians 3:20 ). This crown is not for those who depend upon their own sense of righteousness or of their own works. Such an attitude breeds only arrogance and pride, not a longing, a fervent desire to be with the Lord. 4) The Crown of Glory – (1 Peter 5:4 ) “And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away.” Though Peter is addressing the elders, we must also remember that the crown will be awarded to all those who long for or love His appearing. This word “glory” is an interesting word referring to the very nature of God and His actions. It entails His great splendor and brightness. Recall Stephen who, while being stoned to death, was able to look into the heavens and see the glory of God (Acts 7:55-56 ). This word also means that the praise and honor we bestow to God alone is due Him because of who He is (Isaiah 42:8 , 48:11 ; Galatians 1:5 ). It also recognizes that believers are incredibly blessed to enter into the kingdom, into the very likeness of Christ Himself. For as Paul so eloquently put it, “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us” ( Romans 8:18 NKJV ). 5) The Crown of Life – (Revelation 2:10 ) “Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.” This crown is for all believers, but is especially dear to those who endure sufferings, who bravely confront persecution for Jesus, even to the point of death. In Scripture the word “life” is often used to show a relationship that is right with God. It was Jesus who said, “I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly” (John 10:10 ). Just as things such as air, food, and water are vital for our physical lives, Jesus provides us what is required for our spiritual lives. He is the One who provides “living water.” He is the “bread of life” ( John 4:10 , 6:35 ). We know that our earthly lives will end. But we have the amazing promise that comes only to those who come to God through Jesus: “And this is the promise that He has promised us—eternal life” (1 John 2:25 ). James tells us that this crown of life is for all those who love God ( James 1:12 ). The question then is how do we demonstrate our love for God? The apostle John answers this for us: “For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome” (1 John 5:3 ). As His children we must keep His commandments, obeying Him, always remaining faithful. So, as we endure the inevitable trials, pains, heartaches, and tribulations—as long as we live—may we ever move forward, always “looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith” (Hebrews 12:2 ) and receive the crown of life that awaits us. http://www.gotquestions.org/heavenly-crowns.html |
Saw dis article....... Question: "What is the Judgment Seat of Christ / Bema Seat of Christ?" Answer: Romans 14:10-12 says, “For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat…so then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.” Second Corinthians 5:10 tells us, “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.” In the context, it is clear that both scriptures are referring to Christians, not unbelievers. The judgment seat of Christ, therefore, involves believers giving an account of their lives to Christ. The judgment seat of Christ does not determine salvation; that was determined by Christ’s sacrifice on our behalf ( 1 John 2:2 ) and our faith in Him (John 3:16 ). All of our sins are forgiven, and we will never be condemned for them ( Romans 8:1 ). We should not look at the judgment seat of Christ as God judging our sins, but rather as God rewarding us for our lives. Yes, as the Bible says, we will have to give an account of ourselves. Part of this is surely answering for the sins we committed. However, that is not going to be the primary focus of the judgment seat of Christ. At the judgment seat of Christ, believers are rewarded based on how faithfully they served Christ (1 Corinthians 9:4-27 ; 2 Timothy 2:5 ). Some of the things we might be judged on are how well we obeyed the Great Commission ( Matthew 28:18-20 ), how victorious we were over sin ( Romans 6:1-4 ), and how well we controlled our tongues ( James 3:1-9 ). The Bible speaks of believers receiving crowns for different things based on how faithfully they served Christ (1 Corinthians 9:4-27 ; 2 Timothy 2:5 ). The various crowns are described in 2 Timothy 2:5 , 2 Timothy 4:8 , James 1:12 , 1 Peter 5:4 , and Revelation 2:10 . James 1:12 is a good summary of how we should think about the judgment seat of Christ: “Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.” http://www.gotquestions.org/judgment-seat-Christ.html |
IamChuks:There's no need for hmmmm my broda... this is just the Truth... By the revelation of the Holy Spirit, so many hidden truths have been uncovered in the Bible.... We are in the age of TRUTH,which is also the age of GRACE which means UNMERITED FAVOUR... It must be very hard for you to understand cos our Pastors have brainwashed so many Christians mixing the message of GRACE with the Law... But dat is not the TRUE GOSPEL of CHRIST.... |
Many Believers today are always chanting this sentence... "Narrow is the way to eternal life ".... actually it is what Jesus said in the Bible.... But most Believers read and understand it out of CONTEXT.... Lemme explain.... When Jesus made this statement, he was addressing the Jews and His disciples in Israel at that time, they were practicing Judaism. And to say u believe in Jesus and His teaching during that time is like BLASPHEMY, cos your parents and the community will ostracize and disown you. You will be like an outcast. So that was why Jesus made that statement to them, that if you must follow Him, you have to abandon your family and everything cos the way to Eternal Life then is difficult. Fast-forward it to present day, After the death of CHRIST and His RESURRECTION, it is now easy to be saved than to be lost because what CHRIST did on the cross of Calvary overpaid for our Sins ( Past, Present & Future ). All you need to do is to believe in Christ Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, trusting His Death, Burial & Resurrection as your only means of Salvation. So Believers, that statement THE WAY TO ETERNAL LIFE IS NARROW doesn't apply to Believers today, Jesus was talking to the Jews that want to follow him during His time. So brethren, it very easy to be saved today than to be lost. CHRISTIANITY is not a RELIGION, it is about JESUS CHRIST and His finished Work on the Cross. We are a Blessed generation all because of what happened at the Cross!! Thank you Lord Jesus!! |
Are we still on this ? Nawa oo.... Ok lemme say dis... SALVATION once gained can never be lost. You don't lose your Salvation because you sin.... Datz why Paul still addressed the Church of Corinth ( the most carnal church ) as the bride of CHRIST. There are different levels of commitment among Believers... We have mature and baby Christians. A carnal Christian doesn't lose his Salvation cos he sin. Our Salvation is eternal, its sealed by the Holy Spirit until Rapture. It is only lost by denouncing CHRIST which is impossible, its very rare. Some Christians might not be as committed as they were before, but that doesn't mean they have lost faith in CHRIST. Some people might say these Christians have back-slidden but their faith in CHRIST is still there. @An2elect2 , my sister i think you don't have to argue with @Vook again. Two of you will never agree. You are a GRACE Believer like me and he is a WORKS believer. If he believes its his Works dat saves him, all well and good. Let Him keep to his belief. On the last day He will know the Truth. GRACE is the person of Jesus. What is the meaning of GRACE? UNMERITED FAVOUR... Plz lets stop this argument..... the WORKS Believers will never accept our message of GRACE... and we cant accept theirs too. |
sportsmaster:yes datz true. |
ayoku777:Alright.... i now understand you... At the beginning, i thought u were arguing dat the only way Salvation can be maintained is by works. I guess we misunderstood each other. Take care. |
sportsmaster:Jesus was saying that once you are saved, you can never be unsaved. A Believer in CHRIST doesn't lose his Salvation because he sins.... The only way Salvation can be lost is if the person denounces CHRIST which is rare.... |

I saw dis interesting article in a blog and i decided to share it..... Question: "Who will occupy the Millennial Kingdom?" Answer: There will be two distinct groups occupying the Earth during the millennial kingdom—those with glorified bodies, and those with earthly bodies who lived through the tribulation and on into the millennial kingdom. Those with glorified bodies consist of the Church, receiving glorified bodies at the rapture (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 ; 1 Corinthians 15:21-23 , 51-53 ), and those who are resurrected after Christ returns to Earth (Revelation 20:4-6 ). Those who have earthly bodies can be subdivided into two groups: believing Gentiles and believing Jews (Israel). In Revelation 19:11-16 , we find the return of Jesus Christ to Earth, known as His second coming. The rapture (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 ; 1 Corinthians 15:51-53 ) is an appearing of Christ in the air, not His second coming. I mention this to make a distinction between the rapture and the second coming of Christ. There is no mention in Revelation 19-20 of any kind of rapture event. The implication is that saints who are on Earth when Christ returns will remain on Earth to enter the millennial kingdom in their natural bodies. If the rapture or any kind of event where a living believer receives a glorified body were included in the second coming of Christ to Earth, one would expect to find reference to such a major event in Revelation 19 . But no such reference is to be found. The only event that results in believers receiving glorified bodies is found in Revelation 20:4-6 where those who became believers during the Tribulation and were killed because of their faith are resurrected. It is also believed that at this same time Old Testament saints will be resurrected, also receiving glorified bodies (see Daniel 12:2 ). Matthew 25:31-46 is another passage that should be considered. This passage is commonly called the separation or judgment of the sheep and the goats. The sheep and goats refer to righteous and unrighteous Gentiles. Christ will judge the unrighteous Gentiles (goats), and they will be cast into the lake of fire for eternal punishment ( Matthew 25:46 ). Therefore, no unbelieving Gentile will survive to live on into the millennial kingdom. The righteous Gentiles, or sheep, will live on into the millennial kingdom. They will give birth to children and will populate the Earth. However, these are not the only ones who will be producing children during the millennial kingdom. The impression is given that when Christ returns, all Israel will trust in Him ( Zechariah 12:10 ). They, too, will not receive glorified bodies (as did those who were raptured prior to the tribulation and those resurrected afterward). They also will produce children during the millennial kingdom. So, believing Gentiles, Israel, and resurrected/ raptured believers (all of whom have glorified bodies) will occupy the Earth. It should be noted, however, that believers with glorified bodies will not be reproducing. There is no marriage after this life ( Matthew 22:30 ). Children born during the millennial kingdom will have the responsibility of faith in Christ as all people of past ages have (faith in Christ since His coming; faith in God before— Genesis 15:2-6 ; Habakkuk 2:4 ; Romans 3:20 ). Unfortunately, not all of the children that are born during the millennial kingdom will come to faith in Christ. Those that do not will be led away by Satan into rebellion against God at the end of the millennial kingdom when Satan is let loose for a short time (Revelation 20:7-10 ). http://www.gotquestions.org/millennial-kingdom.html |
