mrZENographer:Lol my brother there is nothing like God deliver me. You will not understand the Message of Grace cos our Pastors have washed our heads lol. I was once like you, thinking dat what qualifies me to enter the kingdom of God is through my works & righteousness, forgetting dat what Jesus did on the Cross of Calvary is greater than the fall of Adam. Grace message doesn't encourage sin but u people are soo blind to see it. It encourages us to live a Christlike life cos Jesus have taken away all our sins on Calvary. Most of the Bible passages u people are quoting were written under different circumstances and most doesn't apply to the Gentile church. The New Covenant Law of Christ is to Accept and Believe in Him. On the last day, no Christian I REPEAT no Christian will be left behind. Its only Unbelievers and the Jews dat doesn't believe in Christ dat will be left behind. Which u know Christ will come with his raptured saints to save dem after the great tribulation. Even John in Revelation said dat he looked up to Heaven and saw great multitude from different nations of the world standing before the throne of Grace and all were saved. He said u cant count dem. My brother i tell you, all Christians will make it on the Rapture. Its when we all get to Heaven people will now be placed according to levels of commitment while on earth but dat doesn't take away their salvation of eternal life. My brother, its you i pity, plz stop living in GUILT AND CONDEMNATION!! The Lord Jesus have taken care of everything on the cross. Once saved, always saved but mind u, live a Christlike life here on earth so dat u will show people of the world dat Christ is Love which is.the message of GRACE . I won't argue again. The Scripture is what it is.... But very soon the Grace message will blow like a wildfire allover the world cos soo many people are now aware of the Truth and who they are in Christ cos there's no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. It is well with you. |
Barnabaseloka:At the death of Christ on the Cross, Jesus took away our past, present and future sins!!! Unbelievable right? You wont believe it cos our Pastors have been preaching mixed messages, mixing the message of Grace with the Law. The blood of Jesus covers a Believer at all times. And God sees your Born again Spirit, not ur physical body.We are not perfect here on earth until the day of Rapture. When a person gives his life to Christ, the Holy Spirit seals the person's Spirit which is now Perfect until the day of Rapture. So once saved, no amount of sin can penetrate the Spirit. Mind u, the message of Grace doesn't encourage sin, instead it encourage us to see the love of God for us by giving his only son to die for us and also to live a Christ like life. But mind u also, so far u are in dis physical world, u will come short of the glory of God cos we are not perfect. But that doesn't stop ur Spirit man from being perfect since u ve accepted Christ and when the person dies, he will go to heaven. And yes, God doesn't look at our physical body and shortcomings cos our sins have being taken care of on the cross. No amount of our WORKS and RIGHTEOUSNESS will be enough for God cos we are like filthy rags before Him. That's why the death of Christ is so significant than the fall of mankind in the Garden of Eden. We are saved not by WORKS but we are saved by our FAITH in Christ Jesus. Through Him, we are made righteous, not by our power, might or works. So dat all Glory returns to God Almighty alone!!!! |
Barnabaseloka:All these happened before the death of Christ. Jesus had not died then. The message of GRACE started after the death of Christ. Mind you, the message of Grace does not encourage people to sin, instead it encourages us to live a Holy life in Christ cos Jesus conquered death and sin on the cross of Calvary. The death of Christ changed so many things in dis world and there was a great jubilation in heaven the day Christ was raised from the dead. We are the New Creation. Most of those sermons in the Bible were taught before the death of Christ and He was talking to the Jews not us the Gentile Church!!!! |

Lilyomi:Watch dis Pastor Joseph Prince video about the full assurance of your salvation... God is using that man to reveal so many things https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20RnGi35DQw&fulldescription=1&gl=NG&hl=en&client=mv-google |
mrZENographer:All these verses you quoted are not actually talking to us the Gentiles but the Jews at that time. I have soo many things to add but there's no time. With the LAW, no man can please God cos the Law was made to be broken. God gave the Jews LAW to prove to them that they need a saviour JESUS, cos there's. no way any human being can keep the law 100%. Datz why he sent JESUS to die on the Cross for our REDEMPTION dat whoever believe in HIM shall be SAVED and have ETERNAL LIFE. The death of JESUS on the Cross is more significant than the sin of Adam in the garden of Eden. THE LAW was abolished by the Death of Jesus on the Cross. He now brought us the message of GRACE, which through our BELIEVE in HIM we are saved. No amount of ur works is enough for God cos our righteousness is like a filthy rag before God. So by Jesus death and we believing in Christ, we are redeemed of all unrighteousness. The blood of Jesus covers us and made us as white as snow and God sees us through our Spirit being which is saved not our physical body. But its a pity dat today's Pastors believes in mixing Grace preaching with the Law. Thank God dat God is now using GRACE preachers to teach us of HIS unconditional Love towards us and the significance of the death of Jesus on the Cross!!! |
What do we mean by Christian? It means a Believer in Jesus Christ....... I have to post this here cos so many Christians have been hearing the old doctrine that many Christians will be left behind on the day of Rapture. I doubt that any Believer will miss the Rapture. Cos it is written that once u accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, you are Saved and you can never loose your salvation... Several scriptures have shown us the promises of our Eternal Life. The Lord Jesus can never be crucified on the cross twice. Many have misunderstood the gospel of Grace..... The gospel of grace about ETERNAL SECURITY is not a licence to sin though, its about taking up the finished work of Christ & His Righteousness. Read dis interpretation of the parable of the 10 Virgins .... The Ten Virgins were actually the Church and all of them were saved. But the 5 wise virgins were the Christians that did works while on earth and the 5 foolish Virgins were the Christians that didn't do any work while on earth but they received Christ & believe in Him. This shows you that Your Salvation in Christ is by Faith in Christ Jesus not by your works. But your works will give you Reward on the Last day when Jesus judges the Christians. Those that their works didn't stand the test of fire will lose it but they are SAVED oo. So the 5 foolish Virgins that were looked out of the Wedding feast were saved and they weren't locked out to outer darkness or Hell fire as many Nigerian Pastors and Christians believe but it means that they didn't get any reward from Christ but they are still saved and have eternal life and will still partake of the inheritance of the Saints as Christ promised, although they didn't have any reward...... So please Christians, accept the finished works of Christ on the Cross and dont think your Salvation is by your own works..... It is never by your own Works cos Salvation is the gift of God to mankind. its only left for us to accept it. But after becoming a Christian, it is encouraged that you live a Holy life to manifest the fruits of your Salvation. Please to the unbelievers, accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Saviour!!!!! |

Dis article was written by Omojuwa..... Very interesting. Music Stake holders, Music Artistes, Artistes Managers and everyone, dis is for you.... I might as well digress from the start. I ought not to be the one writing this because for starters, I am not an artist and I am definitely not an expert of the music industry or any industry for that matter. But someone has to say something and I’ve got the microphone now. We have put our super stars in a box where they can hardly share their opinions on an issue without such opinions being deemed as them hating on the successes of others or being condemned as some sort of subliminal. That leaves us in a place where such people would rather keep their thoughts to themselves. In writing this, one sought the opinion of some top artists, all of whom currently have songs on the top ten and one also got the opinion of some soon to be great performers too. Some of their thoughts are crystallized in my own words below. Gone are the days where the Nigerian or African music consumer is excited about a collabo between our artists and those from across the ocean, mostly from the U.S. Hip-Hop community. We have seen 2face and R-Kelly, we have seen D’Banj and Snoop Dogg, P-Square and Rick Ross, Vector and Movado, Akon and everybody, Davido and Meek Mill and down to the most recent one, Wizzy, Skepta and Drake. Some of the tracks that came off such collaborations came off as great, some just there somewhere above mediocrity and for some others, their place in oblivion will never be threatened. Best forgotten. This piece is hardly about the art as it is about the business end of such collaborations. Whether the featured artist phones in his/her part of the track or actually gets into the studio to do the recording, at the bottom of each move is the desire to make a name for one self and also cash some money. One for the money! We can take it from the point of an artist who is already doing great numbers on the continent. When such an artist features say a Jay Z on a new track, the purpose has to then go beyond being recognized or respected on the continent. At the point D’banj and Don Jazzy had Snoop Dogg on Endowed remix, they were arguably bigger on the continent than Snoop was so one cannot claim that the collaboration was to make the then Mo’Hits artists bigger. It raised their street cred no doubt but Snoop Dogg will not make Africans buy an African artist they are already very much into. It did help D’banj’s resume that he had some relationship with Snoop when Kanye West came calling; that feature had bolstered his resume. Akon has been on tracks with WizKid, P-Square, D’Banj, Davido (and others too numerous to mention) and many would probably even consider him some sort of African artist now. But today, virtually all the artists who featured Akon are doing better in African clubs than Akon is. Does featuring Akon boost your resume? Of course yes! Does it add to your popularity in Africa if you are say a P Square or Davido? Not much. It is a false assumption to think that by featuring T.I. you have broken into the American market. Not that easy except T.I. goes out of his way to put that song on his own album and you are on tour with him to promote the said track. How have featured International artists treated virtually all the collabos with African artists? Like something they’d rather forget as soon as the production was done. You don’t see them tweeting links to the song as they would features with their contemporaries in America. You do not see them big up such tracks on Hot 97 or other respected Hip-Hop platforms in America. At times, it does feel like a relationship between a guy and a sex worker. You pay for the service, she serves you, and you are out. The hooker does not reference you, your relationship ended after you paid. The sex was nothing but her doing her job. You had fun, she had money! The relationship between our artists and these International acts is not as graphic but anyone who is sincere enough would get the drift; the International artist gets his/her cash, does the motions and is off. No promotion, no sustained acknowledgement on social media and zilch mentions on U.S. radio on television networks. There is a next step to these transatlantic collaborations. Let me state that we are closer into breaking into the U.S. market today than we were say five years ago. I mean, even Jay Z used Nigeria’s Hip- Hop market to prop up some reputation for his Tidal! So we are close but we could remain close for the next five years and not actually break in if we are just okay with featuring these artists and not looking to cash in on such collabos in the American market. Collaborations should come with agreements that include expectations on the featured artist’s post-studio work. Why feature an artist who’s got a combined 10 million Twitter, Facebook, Instragram and YouTube fans if such will not sign up to post links to our feature across all those channels on an agreed number of times? Our artists also need to commit the artists to TV and radio mentions. This music business is more of a business today than it is music; is that not why those involved in the business are making more money than most of those making the music? We are desperate to see a home boy or girl break into the U.S. market. It is more likely to happen via a collabo with an established star (say Rihanna) than with a solo effort. See what the Beyonce feature did to Chimamanda Adichie and Aunty Ngozi no be artist o. Breaking into the U.S. market is one thing, sustaining it is another but we can have that discussion after we break in. According to PwC, the global music revenue for 2015 is expected to be $48 billion . That is some $18 billion above Nigeria’s average yearly national budget. The U.S. market share of that is $15 billion. Note that revenue is not the same as investment. Our industry is not yet a $1 billion industry . Can we offer the featured artists more than the cash they get paid? We cannot at the moment. The African music industry is still at an inchoate stage at best and the numbers are not juicy enough for an established U.S. artist to want to commit to. The potentials are vast and with increasing Internet penetration, our artists and other stakeholders can start making top dollar from the digital sales of their content. For now, what the International act gets is the cash at hand, but can our artists start making their dollars count beyond being able to say “I have featured several International stars” in an interview to saying on U.S. TV, “I am not a one hit wonder. I have produced several hits in Africa and I am sure I will add more hits to my current track enjoying airplay across America.” It is possible if we start thinking along that line. This thought came to me last nite. But i concluded that Nairaland is bigger and more popular cos Linda Ikeji is just a gossip blog, while on Nairaland you can learn so many things from different sections like Technology, Business, Travel etc..... Plz mods, can u take dis to the front page so we can sample people's opinion. thank u. |
I saw dis article in a blog and all i can say is.... Nawa ooo... After punching on my laptop's keypad for five straight hours, my eyelids would have nothing but flap close. I staggered off, crashing on to my bed as I dozed off in two minutes. Then suddenly... The entire room is pitch dark and as silent as the grave yard. I thought I heard a sound from my window. Motionless, my body lies on the bed as my eyes quickly darts to the wall, suddenly the clock brightens in the dark, its 2:44 AM as I heard my window crashing, a one-eyed ghost-like creature with four sword-like-teeths struggling to break into my room. Jez! I screamed but my voice couldn't let the scream out, I made to jump out of bed but an unknown force suppresses. The "ghost's head, now in the room, roaring with mouth wide open; with massive teeth gnawing at me ravenously. Dead scared, I mustered all my strength to scream but my mouth just couldn't open. Helpless, I lay on my bed half asleep and half awake. I'm asleep but this sure isn't a dream because I know I'm about to be devoured, but unfortunately my body has failed to move. Then suddenly, the monster breaks in, charging at me with deathly ferocity then I feel a hand taping me on the chest; I broke fully awake. My girlfriend, Shazy just saved me from the monster in the dream I just had while I was wide awake. The above is my recent experience and I know many of you have had such frightening "dreams" which you think you are awake but you are really half-awake. It is called SLEEP PARALYSIS. Sleep paralysis is a phenomenon that occurs when a person wakes up from a sleep being unable to move, speak, or react. It usually occurs as a person is about to fall asleep or as they are about to wake up out of sleep, and is usually accompanied with breathing difficulties. This may not sound like a big deal for those who haven't experienced it, but it can be terrifying at times. You are totally paralyzed and unable to wake yourself up. When you are in a state of paralysis, it is the brains natural response to think that you are under attack, so your brain naturally enters into a state of "flight" mode. Sometimes, sleep paralysis is accompanied by hallucinations or the feeling that there is an intruder in the room. Some people even claim to sense the presence of demonic entities that sit on their chest, or aliens that stand over top of them. The most plausible scientific explanation is that it is thought to occur when the mind wakes up out of REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep, the stage of sleep where most of your dreams occur. Every night during REM sleep the body shuts down virtually all muscle activity to prevent you from acting out those dreams). CAUSES OF SLEEP PARALYSIS Sleep paralysis is not fatal, some of the factors that cause it include physical fatigue, under-sleeping, erratic sleep schedule, stress, and an overuse of stimulants. Personally, under-sleeping and stress is what has caused most of my sleep paralysis experiences. Due to my job as a scriptwriter, I tend to have less sleep especially at night. WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU CAN'T MOVE. Due to fear and anxiety, you may try to fight it; No, don't ever try to fight it. The more you try, the longer it gets and all your efforts will be completely ineffective. If you wake up and realize you are in a state of sleep paralysis, don't resist it. The minute you resist it, you will start freaking out. Accept it and relax. Breathe in and out slowly and consciously, don't panic, just enter a meditative state of mind and it will shortly pass with time. You can give yourself a bad experience by what you choose to think about and where you allow your mind to wander to. It can only have power over you if you give it your power. HOW TO PREVENT SLEEP PARALYSIS. To prevent sleep paralysis, address the causes above. Have a proper sleep schedule. Another big way to prevent sleep paralysis is to not sleep in supine position. This is what supine position looks like: When you sleep flat on your back in supine position, your soft palate is more likely to collapse and obstruct your breathing. This causes you to wake up out of deep sleep while your body is still in a state of atonia from REM sleep. Sleeping on your stomach (in prone position) or on your side is a good way to prevent this from happening. When ever you experience this, don't sleep off immediately, it will come back; before you sleep back, put on the light and go wash your face. USING SLEEP PARALYSIS AS A SPIRITUAL ADVANTAGE. For those that have heard of astral travel and wish to experience it, this is the best chance to try to initiate an out- of-body experience or a lucid dream. Remember, some part of you remains in REM sleep while your waking mind is alert and attentive. Visualize and feel yourself leaving your body, stay calm in your mind and you will see yourself hovering over top of your own body. This may look scary but it’s an experience you would savor. I have come to realize that there is really nothing to be scared of in sleep paralysis or REM sleep. Nobody has ever died or been injured from being in sleep paralysis, and it usually doesn't last for more than 30 seconds. Rather the opposite on Sleep paralysis which manifests in people acting out dreams and sleep-walking is more risky. To avoid sleep paralysis, clean up your sleep schedule but if you feel like you're up to it, use is as a launching pad for the exploration of other dimensions. I have to comment here cos what am seeing don pass me. For the records, i dont know whether the guys commenting here know what HANDSOME means cos its like everyone commenting on this thread don turn handsome. I hardly do this but i have to start clicking on y'all profiles to see ur pix, and apart from the OP and few others, all the other guys claiming handsome here are just average looking guys to me. I don't know but my standard for grading handsome guys and beautiful ladies is high... Most of the guys here are not like Nonso Diobi, Ramsey Noah, Desmond Elliot, Lynxxx,.Yul Edochie or even Mike Ezuruonye. So what are we talking about here ? @OP You made good points but another thing u have to consider is PERSONALITY. If u are a fine guy without class or style, u will always lose out at the social circle. |

Welcome back Merit..... how time flies!!! Merit used to be the most beautiful girl in Nollywood back then. She was a beauty to behold!!! Slim, tall, light skinned and very beautiful. Men used to go crazy about her cos of her beauty. She has aged now as expected sha. Beauty fades though. |
I like Wizkid for saying the truth and dis is the same reason Yemi Alade & Fuse ODG did not attend and they made it known to BET as well. Now for all u ignorant Nairalanders attacking Wizkid for dis tweet, lemme tell u guys what u don't know. I dont see why BET should be discriminating against African Artistes in an award show like dis, shebi na black people we be?. The gate keepers of the American music knows dat if they give African artistes a chance, they might steal their market in America. That's why they treat African artistes like second class citizens or pretend dat they don't know dat we got a vibrant music industry in Africa. African artistes need to wake up!! Come on, we don't need validation from the West to know dat we are good!!! Africa is a continent of over 800 million people!!! Who needs America They can keep their yeye backstage award. An award show dat most American A-List artiste did not even attend sef. 50 Cent was even blasting dem on an instagram video. Lets forget about dem. The BEST AFRICAN ACT AWARD sef no dey do anything for the artiste career sef. Na only title. The African market is soo huge and has sooo many potential, let our artistes explore dem, see how PSquare dem are breaking ground in North Africa. I have soo many things to say about the American music industry and African American themselves. To start with, these Black Americans have a condescending attitude towards Africans even if u were born in the states. Infact, lemme leave it here, Akatas and their wahala too much. So i support Wizkid, Yemi Alade & Fuse ODG for not attending, we are not fools. Dat was how Grammy Awards were giving Black Hiphop acts their awards backstage back in the day and they fought against it. Now they are coming to do it to their fellow Blacks too?? Cos we are Africans To hell with Dem!!! I support you Wizkid!!! |
