Spiderman has 9 movies now in total starting with 2002. Batman has only just 8 movies since 1989.

Spiderman 1,2,3 repeated villains with Green Goblin showing in all three movies. So was Dr Octopus in Spiderman 2&3.

Latecomer discussion has ended. But to just clear things Spiderman 1,2,3 all had different main villains. Green Goblin and Dr Octopus all died in part 1 and 2. William Defoe only returned as a ghost. Dr Octopus didn't return in spiderman 3 if at all he did he would be ghost. And again when I said repeated villains I mean in the reboots. Clear enough?

Now let's start with for example Spiderman. Spiderman just repeated not just one villain, but multiple villains from the past in their latest installment. I wonder why you're not complaining about it. But you were fast to remember Batman that repeated villains.

Meanwhile Batman villains from Batman Forever to last one are:

Mr Freeze

Joker (here the origin of Two-Face gets told)
Bane

As you can see, different villains for each installment, same way other studios are doing others but it's only Batman you have a problem with.

You complained Batman origin movie, the story of Batman was told in Batman Begins. The origin of Joker was told in latest Joker movie.


You complained about Batman story being repeated so many times? And others haven't? How many times have Spiderman story been repeated? Let me brush your memory that Spider-Man repeat stories all the time. It's basically about a kid who lives with his aunt and got bitten by a radioactive spider and gained superhuman strength, then has a secondary school crush/girlfriend and fights the villain that comes up in each of the installment. Is there anything majorly different from this rehashed storyline?

For James Bond. Here is what majorly sums up the movie despite it being over 30 years old:

Jams Bond a secret agent for the MI6.
A villain that has weapon or biotechnology instrument to wipe out large number of humans.
There is a character called Moneypenny.
Another called M.
Another called Q.
There are arrays of hi-tech watches, weapons and cars etc that can perform more than your run-of-the-mill actions.

This basically sums up James Bond movies.

Wash, rinse and repeat. Nothing different after 30 years and people still watch.

Sit back, relax and watch people go to cinema to watch the Batman. If it doesn't do well at the box office, it wouldn't be because people are tired of it, but simply because the script was weak. Superhero genre is one genre that keeps getting produced periodically. Get used to it. In the future, despite Iron Man being dead in the MCU world, there will be another Iron Man movie. This is fact.

You don't understand my point is the issue here. Batman story has been told and retold many times. Meaning most of the storylines, characters featured and so on have been done how many times? It keeps getting rebooted and similar story told again and again with similar characters as villains.

How many times have we heard batman origin story? How many times has he gone against joker and the likes? James Bond you mentioned are the storylines and villains repeated?

Again weda batman does well or doesn't do well in box office isn't the issue. The issue is the constant need to reboot and retell the same stories again and again. At least if iron man gets rebooted he shouldn't be fighting the same old villains he has fought for ages. I even said it in the post you quoted, that Batman should be rebooted if they are willing to do something fresh not same old same old.

That's what marvel did with spiderman, made him a kid, also brought in new villains. And this was after giving other Marvel characters their day in the sun. Give other DC characters same treatment. Funny thing they already have an active batman in the DCEU, but still they choose to reboot it again and tell the story all over again. Why not tell a story with the current batman?

Its like MCU having an active Thor, then making a reboot outside the MCU to tell the Thor story all over again. What's the point? The time and energy used to do that could be used to bring new fun characters into play in DCEU or at least strengthen the legs of the DCEU batman.

Your last statement makes sense no doubt. But that was never in question, I am just talking about the lack of real estate for other DC characters on the big screen. The laser focus on Batman should be given a rest, Introduce us to new and cool characters. Its why I am very interested in Black Adam. The Batman can still be fresh if they do a fresh take sha, but I am seeing catwoman and co in it. This seems like same old same old. When they release it sha we can tell for sure.

Okay WOT fans, can we just give this show the chance, we have a long way to go, they can't just exhaust the fun for season one alone when they are just developing the scene, theme and characters. I believe season 2 will prove all outsiders wrong by adding them to the high-fans but for now, it looks like poison to me though. Haven't watched season one finale though

The series isn't bad far from it. It has potential. It's the ridiculous over hyping thats the problem. I personally like it. It wasn't excellent but its the first season and the cast are still growing into their characters. They will only get better hopefully. The vfx for the final episode has to be worse especially the trollocs. The editing felt rushed. But the acting of padan fain and the dark one was really good in my opinion thumbs up there.

I feel this is the weakest episode for me. The encounter between Rand and the dark one felt underwhelming. But the story behind it seemed okay.

All in all a good s1 in my book not great but good. They certainly need to get better directors for S2. Amazon really has to chill with the release. I think the editing and vfx of the final episode is the way it is because it was rushed. I mean with the money spent it should look alot better.
