What app is the best to use with cheaper fees? Passfolio, bamboo or trove? I'm based in Nigeria. I noticed passfolio gives free stock on referrals and has lesser fees than others but has a 15 minutes delay in price. Not sure if their stock price is accurate. Dollar is also N503.2 on passfolio.

Chaka really disappointed me yesterday. I was supposed to buy Nvidia at $599 but their crazy app kept throwing different errors. Contacted support, they couldn't do anything about it. I woke up this morning and voila, the price has gone up to $624 and it still shows potential to go even higher today.

Abeg who can recommend better apps for foreign stocks with low commission. I'm tired of Chaka.

Good evening everyone. I'm very devastated as i type this.

Though i knew about stock market very early and read many books about investing, i didn't give it much thought till this year January 1st when one thread about Investing hit front page. I went through it page to page till the last page. I asked relevant questions and i was told about Trove, Chaka and Bamboo. I downloaded the apps and discovered only Trove had Demo account, which i started practicing with. Later on i discovered that Trove doesn't have all the Penny stocks i see on Yahoo Finance that are Pre market movers. I downloaded Trading 212, and fortunately they had all the stocks. I was required to upload an International Passport which i didn't have at the time (8/1/2021). I saved up and got an international passport yesterday for a whopping 25k. Guess what Gentlemen and ladies, i went and uploaded the Passport and Bank Statement i was requested to provide when they rejected my Voters card and NIN slip, and a pop up message that they have paused ID verification till further notice appeared. I wanted to kill myself.

Do you know why this is painful? I already have 2.6 million Dollars trading on their Demo account for less than 2 weeks from 50k demo funds. This could have been real money you know. Now that I'm confident of a steady 100% - 200% daily account growth, I cannot be verified again. One penny stock even climbed to 867% on Tuesday. Imagine i have been trading with real money. I have not eaten a good food since yesterday.

My question now is, what apps do you guys use to trade US stocks. I've turned Google upside down for information about Brokers that can allow non US citizens abroad trade US stocks. Most Brokers removed Nigeria from their lists allowing Mushroom countries like Niger and Benin, even Mali.

Please which broker do you guys use?

That was the rate to fund my dollar-based virtual debit card on wallets.africa. I linked the virtual debit card directly on T212 and was able to deposit to my T212 account instantly. I was able to send the funds from T212 back to my wallets.africa debit card but not back to naira, ended up sending it back into T212 via Skrill to create another withdrawal option.

I don't know who needs this, but an easy way to fund your T212 account is via wallets.africa: you create a wallets.africa account and get to have your own Wema and Rubies accounts into which you can make Naira deposits. You can then create a virtual dollar-based debit card which you can use on T212. I did same and have been able to deposit $10 to my T212 account and withdraw same from T212 to my virtual debit card. Their exchange rate is the only snag as it is quite high.

I agree. All northerners are not blind or stupid or greedy. When our fathers drafted independence and the basis of constitution it was based on fairness and brotherhood. Not ignorance and sycophancy. We understand the strengths and weaknesses of all of us and it is only by bringing forward the best workers of every region fairly that things will move forward for the country.

I for one believe that the allocation of oil blocks should be to the owners of the region by state or local government in a trust that is openly accountable. The technology is available for that. Those areas can be built and run like the uae with residents getting infrastructure and allowance and any business has to partner with locals to operate. This can run in other parts of the country if that’s what people want.

Others that want should head to Lake Chad and get their own oil. We know what is there. We also know about the gold in Zamfara that is the real

Was finally able to verify my Trading212 account after uploading the same bank statement (but this time, the picture was taken with better lighting )

Funding the Trading 212 Account
I revived my wallets.africa account today, and verified the account by uploading an identification proof (Driver's Licence, Voter's card, Passport, etc). They verified my account some hours later after which I was able to generate a dollar card. You need to have money in your wallet before you can generate the card though. Exchange rate was 495!

Upon getting my activation email from Trading 212 tonight, I immediately opened Google Pay (on a web browser) to add the dollar card I had earlier generated from wallets.africa. Then went back to deposit funds on Trading 212, clicked on Google Pay where I selected the card I added. Boom! I was able to credit my Trading 212 account.
All of the process took less than 5 minutes. For context, I got my activation email at 9:12 and was able to complete the deposit before 9:17.

I believe the process is quite straightforward and I'm open to answering any questions
