ChybuzzDD: Abeg, what does it really mean when a stock is gaining or losing during the "after hours" period? Do transactions really go on during such period? How is it different from the "pre-market" period?
NOVAVAX has been surging after their earning conference this evening in the "after-hours" period, and I don't know if that will reflect on the stock when the market opens again tomorrow.
YerYer: Fastly (FSLY) the cloud computing platform reported stellar earnings last night. As the name suggests, they provide edge computing that helps speeds up apps and website performance. They are built to handle excess internet traffic which has been on a rise as more people teleconference, shop, play games and stream online. The stock and options have net me $483 and I will very likely sell here.
Hi ,I would like to know how you find companies to invest in?
kabe1: With regards to Nigeria producing military equipment, we have made good progress, and their is a lot of private sector participation.
However, if we want to really progress, we need to copy the Turkey model. The Turks imported a lot of engineers from around the world from big companies like Boeing, Airbus, Raytheon, Lockheed martin, EADS, from South-Korea also. These engineers built in Turkey and passes on the knowledge to local Turkish engineers. This why you are still very competitive while passing transfer of knowledge.
We should be doing this...but how many engineers will come to Nigeria?
bidexiii: Guys checkout this Serbian LRSVM M18 122mm MLRS. An MLRS system on a wheeled platform, I must say I love it and the front view looks like the just acquired NA SH5 105 mm self-propelled artillery.
komekn: There are a few who have been shouting very loudly that the A29 is the game changer in COIN warfare. And even quite a few who have erroneously agreed.
My approach is very simple, "Best Value" and greatest impact / outcome delivery from limited resources.
I said the future is " Attack UAV'S" that give you 24 hour endurance without the enemy even knowing and then you can eliminate him clinically with almost zero risk to air force personal. They are now the game changer.
Wing Loong II is an attack UAV that has some impressive statistics. 24 hour endurance, 1500km range and a 500kg payload of multiple smart and precision ordinances, missiles, etc There is no hiding place daytime or nightime.
How many UAV 's do we need to have total and complete 24 hour coverage of the NE theatre and with over watch of our very gallant soldiers.❓❓ ❓.
My projection at least 35 Wing Loong II UAV will do the job. But to be absolutely sure l would procure 50.
Now some of you not all will even shocked at the procurement cost. $1million per unit, that's $50 million for 50 Chinese Wing Loong II attack UAV now compare that to the total per unit procurement package cost of one turboprop A29, which is $50 million.
Now with your eyes open which would you rather have. ❓ ❓ l find some of our decisions baffling and the allegations of zero will to end this cash cow war, begin to have some credence.
With 50 UAV or effectively 20+ combing the skies at 8000 ft, at any one time, unknown Boko. Not one of thier gun trucks will be able to operate without being roasted, indeed they will have not be able to have any. It means where 2/3 Boko gather we will know. There will be nothing like suprise attack on any NA base or convoys and or convoys of Boko gun trucks running with reckless abandon across the NE. That's for the entire NE theatre.
Is the exploration and extraction of bitumen profitable? As the federal government is aiming at diversifying the Nigerian economy from its over reliance on crude oil, bitumen/tar sands has been touted as the next big thing.Nigeria has an estimated reserves of 27bn barrels of oil equivalent of bitumen/tar sands. Exploration of of bitumen has been stalled numerous times due to different reasons. Over to you my fellow nairalanders, is the exploration of bitumen profitable? excanny: Not all is fair in war. That's why the likes of Charles Taylor are in prison for crimes against humanity.
Let me read up on me...I understand the plight of the biafrans...It wasn't fair on them... especially the citizens who had no input in the decision making..
sagtav: My Biafra was weakened when the shameless Nigeria government used the food blockade approach.
Millions of Biafran children were starved to death as a result of the food blockade.
You can't blame Nigeria for coming up with the food blockade...in preparing for the war ojukwu should come up with a way of securing stable provisions for his people and soldiers....all is fair in love and war
Hi,long ago I watched a series "not even sure it was a series" right after watching Jumong and kingdom of the winds. It was a war film like Jumong but most of the fighting was done on the sea and they were trying to take over a fortress on an island.....I've been trying to find the film but couldn't do so...if you can help me with the name of the film I would be very grateful.
