lol! Cry me a river.
1. Did you take time to check the Christian Theme under the said subject whether it didn't say "Jesus was God, son of God, lord and personal savior, he was crucified and resurrected and that no one will make heaven except through him"?
Since it did so Muslims shall also be complaining because to them this is also blasphemy.
2. Do all states especially in the south employ IRK teachers in all their schools in order to teach Muslim students Islam so as not to be taught Christianity when there isn't an IRK teacher?
3. Did you bother to check, complain or petition the "new" curriculum when it was approved in 2012 under a Christian President, Christian Minister of Education and a Christian Director of the agency?
#Hypocrites

Let me inform you that prof. Ruquat was the minister then.

Equally, south west states have irk teachers.

What we are clamouring for is let religious studies be separated. Can that be too much to ask. If not, it will boomerang

ARABIC IS NOT THE PROBLEM, LET THE RELIGIOUS STUDIES BE SEPERATED. WE ARE SITTING ON A KEG OF GUN POWDER AS A NATION. BELOW IS THE REAL WAHALA!

THE LONG AWAITED CURRICULUM IS OUT.
BUT WE WANT IT REVIEWED BEFORE IT HIT THE CLASSES.

Thanks for your request to give you a copy of the Federal Ministry of Education 9 year basic Education curriculum on
"Religion and National Values" book.
The book was a product of the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council ( NERDC), a parastatal, under the Ministry of Education.

The issues with the curriculum

1. On pages 17 and 46 of the "Religion and National Values" curriculum for Primary one to three (Primary 1-3) are statements that are not only inciting but derogatory to a particular Religious Belief and Faith of ( Christianity).

Specifically

a) On page 17 under Theme:
ISLAMIC Studies and Sub theme "Sarah and Tahdib"
Primary 1 to 3 pupils in their formative years are taught
the Supremacy of Prophet Mohammed and the Quran over all others.
That Mohammed was the Seal of all the Prophets, sent to the whole world and Quran the final guidance of Allah to mankind.

b) In page 46 of the same book produced with tax payers money who include Muslims and non Muslims

That
Prophet Isa known to Christians as Jesus Christ is not the son of God
That Jesus was not Crucified.
What a blasphemy.

The implications are the creation of a sense of supremacy of Islam over other faiths and completely denigrating Christianity.

If this has been restricted to Muslims alone, in their Quran Schools that could have been excused, but putting it in a National curriculum for all is Provocative and Insulting.

The Nigeria Christian Graduate Fellowship took this matter up with the current executive director of NERDC and his team in Abuja and I was was a member of the NCGF team.
His response

1. The two subjects are to be taught separately. A Muslim will take Islamic study and a Christian pupil CRK.

NCGF RESPONSE

Theoretically, this is true, but in actual practice, this is not the truth.
We gave examples of several states in the North where the state governments refused to employ CRK teachers including Niger state where CAN (Christian Association of Nigeria) even offered to send volunteer CRK teachers and the government still refused.

As the subject is compulsory for the students, the Christian students in those states are forced to listen to such negative teachings at such a tender, highly impressible age.

NERDC EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR RESPONSE

Parents of such Christian students should take the government to court.

We replied that it was ridiculous as it is the duty of the state to ensure fundamental rights of the citizens which include freedom of association and religion.
We also informed him of the slow process of the Nigerian judicial matters.

Our recommendations

1. The offending statements should be expunged from the curriculum.

2. If the state governments can not provide adequate teachers for the 2 subjects, then the 2 subjects should not be compulsory at all.

Thank you once again for your interest.
We have also included other relevant information we have on this subject matter.

With my best regards
Prof Charles Adeyinka Adisa. MD, FWACS, FACS.

President, Nigeria Christian Graduate Fellowship.

FROM THE PERSONAL DESK OF MR. SHOMUJI OLUJIMI

TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC

REF: SHO/2017/06/004
Date: Tuesday, June 13, 2017

The greatest gift a man can give to those that come behind him is a formidable legacy to live on......Swahili proverb

I Shomuji Olujimi Adebayo wish to clarify the issues moving on various social media platforms and print media. This Press release is not addressed to any individual or group but very necessary so as to bring to the notice of the general public about my personal stand on the issues presently rocking the Students' Union Government of my Alma mata (The Federal Polytechnic Offa, Kwara State). I am bringing out all these points because am a concerned graduate of this institution. However, I want to also clarify the following issues at stake as itemised by the school management:

1. The advice given by the security agencies about the Students' Union and their activities can be addressed by ensuring all parties involved sign an agreement of peace before, during and after the elections which will make those involved to do all possible to promote peace. This approach worked during my election when it was like Iraq War but we viled for peace because our studentship is at stake if there is any pandemonium.

2. The same approached as suggested above can solve ANY security threat and also ensure a smooth election and transition.

3. Putting the SRC and SUG election on 'hold til further notice is indirectly proscribing the Students' Union Government because without the inauguration of the SRC, there can not be ICEC and if there is no ICEC, then no SUG. So who is fooling who?

4. The present Students' Union Executives are left with no other option and moreover, the student in general must be duly represented. Who knows what transpired at the said meeting where the SUEC agreed to the postponement of the elections.

Once again, let it be known to all that I am not in any way against any policy of the management as far its not against humanity and also let justice and equity be the watchword in all we do.

Surely nothing shall discourage Me!

Signed

Shomuji Olujimi Adebayo

A Communique on the Stand of Reformation Movement Nigeria to the Present Imbroglio in Federal Polytechnic Off, Kwara State

The making of giants may be done in the secret but will definitely be seen by general public- unknown

After much deliberation, fraternisation and discussion, the apex arm of the organisation (CPC) hereby give the following as its stand on the present avoidable issue presently perpetuated in the Federal Polytechnic Offa, Kwara State which has its long whip on the Student Union Government and unarguably the studentry generally:

1. The management of the school must as a matter of urgency give an enabling environment for the inauguration of the Student Representative Council (SRC) election
2. The date of the Student Union election is sacrosanct as stated in the school academic calendar
3. The management of the school must do all within its power to bring a lasting peace to the school environment.
4. No student should be threaten or maimed for any reason before, during and after the Students' Union Elections (SRC and ICEC nominations inclusive)

The Central Planning Committee of this organisation is watching all the activities keenly as we will not allow any individual or group of people with inordinate ambition to tamper with the fragile peace of our Alma Mater.

Long live Federal Polytechnic Offa
Long live Reformation Movement Nigeria

Signed

For: CPC

*RECTOR AND HIS 'COME AND CHOP' LIBERATION MOVEMENT SET TO PROSCRIBE STUDENTS' UNION GOVERNMENT: SECURITY ALERT*

It the peak of irresponsibility, hyper hypocrisy cum coupled with monumental misplacement of priority, for a rector,Federal Polytechnic Offa,Dr LA Olatunji, who is less than 7months in the office,to provocatively initiated a highly satanic plot, to proscribe the *Students Union Government* despite present relative peace and hitch free academic session. The egregious plot by Management under the leadership of Dr L.A Olatunji to deny students of their legitimate cum statutory students union is clear indication that,he lacks the capacity and effrontery to manage the leadership and quality of a good crisis manager, even when there is know. Leadership is not a mere nomenclature but a status to administer situations and turn challenges into bundles of opportunities.

The Governing council is currently at the polytechnic & recently summoned the Executive arms of the students',the well tutored rector Alleluya boys called for the proscription of Students' Union Government,a proclamation that had been secretly doctored by rector who is incorrigibly corrupt.

Impeccable sources reliably revealed series of clandestine meetings, between the rector,Federal Polytechnic,Offa & the Liberation dominated Students' Union Executive to clampdown the voice of the voiceless,Students' Union Government'.

It is noteworthy that there was apparent peace and stability at the two campuses except a recently initiated failed mission by the rector who impeccable source revealed, that he ordered his *come and grandstand faceless boys to storm the campus*,to enable him push for a barbaric reason and convince the Governing Council on the urgent need to proscribe the Students' Union.

Incontrovertibly, Students' Union Government is a statutory body of the students of tertiary institutions. An attempt to place sledge hammer on the voice of the voiceless, hope to the hopeless & strength to the strenghtless Nigeria students is an attempt injustices & should be rejected in totality.

We are not staggered by the satanic arrangement because the rector is known for dirty deals & fantastic corrupt practices, even before his rectorship at the Federal polytechnic. And this questionable attitudes is abuse of office and executive brigandage. In the same veie,it is totally against the Change Mantra of President Mohammad Buhari in the Fight Against Corruption. We have been monitoring the activities of the rector & shocked that he had never referenced the 'Anti Graft War'.

The Governing council is currently at the polytechnic & recently summoned the Executive arms of the students',the well-tutored rector Alleluya boys called for the proscription of Students' Union Government,a proclamation that had been secretly doctored by rector who is incorrigibly corrupt.

We hereby advice the governing council in strong term to jettison the sardonic move initiated by the rector because is not tainted but entirely lugubrious. The rector who had physically engaged in combat the students as director students' affairs now set to exploit the students heavily by prescribing the students union. A stitch in time saves nine. The rector should not further provoke the peace loving students in his mega agenda mission. Governing Council is expected to fix culpability on the urgency of moment.
